Chapters It's been a month since Lunar moved to Ponyville. A month since his welcoming party. Through the course of the month, Twilight went on dates with Lunar, while Spike was in charge of watching Nyx during the time. Nyx even let her mom and dad read her book, Past Sins. Nyx was hanging at Rainbow dash's place during the weekend and during the month, Nyx was starting to feel lonely. Fluttershy even noticed. she offered Nyx a pet, but she declined.
Now at the library, Lunar and Twilight were waiting for Nyx to come home. the front door to the library opened and Nyx and Rainbow were standing in front. "Hey Mom, hey Dad." said Nyx.
"Hi sweetie."
Nyx walked in and Rainbow offered to help Nyx bring her stuff to her room. after she bought her stuff to her room, Twilight talked with Rainbow, asking how she was. Rainbow replied that Nyx is still feeling lonely and wants a friend. She also noticed Nyx was missing peewee so much. Twilight and Lunar couldn't help but feel sorry for Nyx. Peewee being returned to his family must of been bad for her. Rainbow said her goodbyes and headed towards her home.
Night
The night came and Nyx was seen outside. She was looking down at the ground. She was taken to Pinkie earlier in the day, but turned out Pinkie couldn't help. Spike then came outside and saw Nyx, he also knew that Nyx missed peewee so much. He came to Nyx's side. "Nyx, I know it's not easy, but I had to do the right thing."
"I know spike, but this is making me feel bad."
"Nyx, Fluttershy offered you a pet, but you declined one."
Nyx then looked up at the stars in the sky
"Well time will tell. You should go to bed, You have School tomorrow."
Nyx then realized what spike was saying. She then nodded in agreement and headed inside with spike. Once they were inside, a strange thing was seen flying in the sky, it was black and was like the starry, It was a Legendary dragon, the Space Dragon. in Equestria, Space dragons are known for peace with being across the galaxy and none haven't been seen in Equestria in a long time. The Space Dragon then landed and looked around. "I hope I find this Nyx filly. She looks like she can use a friend." it said as it began to search for the filly.
Morning
It was now a monday morning and Nyx got up and went downstairs. When she got downstairs her dad was reading the newspaper with Twilight while Spike was cooking breakfast. Twilight looked and saw Nyx. "Morning Nyx." said Twilight.
"Morning Mom"
Lunar was to busy reading the Newspaper, when suddenly, something caught his eye in it. A Recent report showed that a mysterious flying figure has been spotted late last night. Lunar kept reading and he got to the part where the reporter says they think it's a Space Dragon. "thats weird how can a Space Dragon be here in Equestria?" Lunar asked.
"What is a Space Dragon?"
"A Space Dragon is a Dragon that usually lives in Outer Space. Basically some Space Dragons live on Planets with life." said Twilight.
Spike then announced that breakfest is ready. Lunar put down his Newspaper and walked into the Kitchen with Twilight and Nyx. as they walked in They saw That Spike made Pancakes, and eggs. The group then sat down and began to eat. As Nyx was eating she was still hoping a friend is out there for her. She even began to wonder if the Space Dragon is the friend she needed. Twilight was hoping Nyx gets a friend of her own. Like how Spike is her friend and helps her out. Lunar on the other hand, couldn't stand Nyx being depressed. as they were eatting, Nyx was acting weird. "Ugh" she grunted.
"Nyx are you Okay?" Twilight asked
Nyx then began to here a voice. "Nyx, don't fear my voice or who i am. I, have no name. If you heard, a Space Dragon has been spotted. That Dragon, is me. I am friendly, I mean no harm. I hope we meet soon." Said the Space Dragon in a female voice. Twilight was looking at Nyx.
"Nyx, you okay?" asked Twilight
"Thats weird, I heard the Space Dragons voice."
"What? How?"
"I'm not sure. It can be because it may of heard my plea."
Spike then remembered Nyx's wish from yesterday. He was now wondering if it came true. He remembered Nyx say she wants to have a friend that can speak like him. Nyx finished her meal and went upstairs to brush her teeth. Twilight didn't even realize that Space Dragons have Telepathic powers. She then saw Nyx get ready for School. "Hey Nyx can you tell me what the Space Dragon said?" Twilight asked
Nyx then began telling Twilight what the Space dragon said. As she told Twilight, Twilight was shocked. It sounded like the Space Dragon needed a friend also and was looking for Nyx. She then saw the time and it was time to take Nyx to school. Twilight got ready and Got Nyx's school bag. Nyx said goodbye to Lunar, Spike and Owlowiscious. Twilight and Nyx then walked out of the Library and headed towards the school house. Nyx and Twilight were still wondering why would the Space Dragon know Nyx. They knew they had to wait until the answer is revealed.

Meet Tex, the Space Dragon
During school, cheerliee's class were discussing about the sighting of the Space Dragon. According to Cheerliee, a Space Dragon hasn't been seen for many years. The last Space Dragon that was in equestria passed away due to old age. Diamond Tiara even said while glaring at Nyx, that Space Dragons don't show peace to evil ponies. Nyx then told the Class that during the morning she heard the Space Dragons voice, via Telepathy. When the class heard this, they were shocked, They didn't even know that the Space Dragon communicated with Nyx. Nyx then stated that the Space Dragon may of heard her plea for a friend. The cmcs knew that Nyx was still heartbroken that Peewee was taken back to his family. Suddenly Nyx felt weird. The class noticed and they were worried. Nyx then heard the voice again. "I can see your mind Nyx. I know the lost of your Phoenix friend really bothers you. Don't worry when we meet, I'll be your friend. You might be wandering how i'm communicating with you. i'm nearby but using my invisibility technique. I will meet you soon. If something bad happens, we will meet." said the Space Dragon.
"Nyx you okay?" Asked Silver Spoon concernly.
"Yea i'm okay. I heard the Space Dragons voice again. She said that she is watich over me while she is invisible to the public. She said that when we meet, she'll be my friend."
"HOW THE HAY IS IT COMMUNICATING WITH YOU?"
suddenly Nyx heard the voice again she closed her eyes and listened. "Also if you want to know how i'm communicating with you due to that brat. I received visions of you when flying to earth where i'll live. I wanted a friend also, I Left my kind to live on earth so i can Live with someone or "somepony" that i can call a friend"
"What did it say?" asked Applebloom"
"It said that it received visions of me while flying towards the earth. it also said she's looking for a friend also and left her kind to live on earth and live with somepony she can call them her friend. I think she means me."
The class was speachless. Diamond Tiara was mad. Silver Spoon Noticed She was hoping the same thing doesn't happen again. the recess bell rang and the class went outside. they started Playing. Ditzy, and Silver Spoon played with the Cmc and Nyx. Nyx and the Cmc members started talking. Applebloom was still sad that scoots and Sweetie belle have their Cutie Mark and she doesn't. Nyx then remembered that Scoots told her that Applebloom rebuild AJ's treehouse. "Applebloom, have you thought of thinking back?" said Nyx
"What ya mean?"
"I was told you rebuild Applejack's treehouse. You tried everything to find your talent but you didn't realize you were good at one thing."
"Huh?"
"You are good at rebuilding and Construction. You know, you are like a Pony that wants to rebuild an old building and Construct new places. That's your talent. Construction."
Applebloom then remembered all the time she build. She then realized, Nyx was right. She is talented at Construction. Suddenly they saw Diamond running at her. "YOU'RE DEAD!" She shouted.
"Oh no."
Nyx was stunned in fear She then closed her eyes. Silver Spoon went to go get Cheerliee. Diamond tiara was running towards Nyx and she was going fast. as she reached her hoof went in the air. Suddenly something appeared and grabbed Nyx out of the way. The others looked and they were speachless. Standing by Nyx was a Dragon, the size of Twilight. Nyx opened her eyes and saw the Dragon, who was looking at her. "You okay?" it asked.
"y...yes."
Cheerlie came out and saw the Dragon. She was speachless. "It's... A SPACE DRAGON?" she said in shock.
"Indeed i am, I just saved Nyx from the one with the tiara. She was about to beat her up." it said.
Cheerliee then looked at Diamond. "Diamond how dare you. Are you trying to get yourself expelled? your father told me that if you did this, Twilight will press Juvenile Charges against you. come inside diamond, your in detention now." said Cheerliee
Diamond looked down and walked inside. The Space Dragon looked at Nyx."so your Nyx. Am i right?" it asked.
"Yes i am. What's your name?"
"I don't have a name. I gone by a title. But I don't have a name."
"Well why don't you hang with me."
"If you're okay with it"
After school
Twilight was seen walking towards the school house with Applejack. they were discussing about the sighting of the Space Dragon. Applejack was shocked that one was on earth long time ago and didn't even remember about it. They then approached the school house and Nyx came out. she saw her mom. "Hey mom." said Nyx
"Hey Nyx, why are you happy?"
"I met a new friend."
"that's great. who?"
Nyx then gave a whistle and the Space Dragon came to view. Twilight and Applejacks eyes went wide. Nyx made friends with a Space Dragon. "A Space Dragon?" said Twilight at a lost for words. It was a real Space Dragon. She knew that Space Dragons size are mostly the size of ponies. The Space Dragon she was staring at, was the size of herself.
"That is what I am. I've finally met Nyx, after reciving visions of her. Nice to meet you."
Twilight more shocked the Space Dragon's a female. "Whats your name?"
"I....have no Name. I had a protocol name, but I no longer go by it since I left my race to live on a peaceful planet with friendly life."
Nyx then purched up. "Well how about I call you Tex? besides you said you wanted to live with me."
The name Tex made Twilight gasp. "Tex? But that's the name of the most feared Freelancer agent in the galaxy."
"Tex...hm i kinda like that name, it makes me sound, awesome." Said Tex
"Mom, do you think Tex can live with us? She told me via telepathy, that she wants to live with a friend, which turns out to be me."
Twilight then thought for a moment. She remembered seeing Nyx lonely and sad after Peewee left. She remembered that Fluttershy offered a pet, but she denied. She knew this was a tough decision. Knowing that if she said know, she would break Nyx's heart. She then realize that This is the friend Nyx was looking for. Having another dragon would make Nyx happy. "Sure Nyx."
This made Nyx happy, even Tex was happy. Nyx then started to walk home with Twilight and Tex followed. Nyx was really happy. As they came by the Library they met Fluttershy. "Hi Fluttershy." greeted Twilight
"Hey Twilight. *Gasp* Is that a Space Dragon." Fluttershy said
"Yes. meet Nyx's new friend and pet, Tex."
Tex then walked up to Fluttershy and saw she was kinda scared. "Hey don't be scared, we Space Dragons are friendly. i mean no harm."
Fluttershy then looked at Tex. Fluttershy wasn't afraid anymore. Tex reminded her of Spike. But Tex was black, had scales that shined, and Friendly. "Oh. S...sorry, I didn't realize that you were friendly."
"So Fluttershy, what brings you here?"
"Well i was going to try to convince Nyx to have a pet, but she now has a friend and a pet. But I need to get going, I don't want to make Angel mad."
With that, Fluttershy went on her way and the three went to the library. As they headed towards the Library, Twilight remembered hearing that Nightmare Moons castle was going to be changed and become hers and also become the new library. As they walked in, Lunar greeted Twilight and Nyx. Spike also greeted them. They then both notice the dragon. Twilight then explained the whole thing to them and they agreed that Tex should live here because it'll make Nyx feel happy again. Tex even got along with Spike. Rainbow Dash even stopped by to see Nyx as usual. Twilight even told Rainbow about Tex. Rainbow was excited that her Goddaughter finally got a friend. Tex even got along with Rainbow. To her Rainbow was exactly like her, being Awesome, cool and being loyal.

the Space Dragons name, Tex, is a Reference to the popular web series Red Vs. Blue character Tex/Alison/Beta, a Freelancer agent known as Agent Texas

It's been 4 days since Nyx and her Space Dragon, Tex, became friends. During the for days they met with Derpy Hooves, whom asked out of curiosity where Tex was from. Tex then Yelled Space when asked. Now it was Friday. At School Nyx found out that Diamond was Suspended for the rest of the month for attempting to start a fight. Cheerlie also allowed Nyx's friend Tex to be at the School to watch Nyx incase Diamond does it again when she returns. Even Cheerlie allowed Tex to talk about the Space Dragon Race as part of a discussion. It was now recess and Nyx and the comc hanged out while Tex was making sure she was okay. at the end of the day, the cmc decided to have a sleepover. Nyx invited Tex and she gladly accepted to come.
Twilight, Nyx were seen walking towards sweet apple acres, while Tex was flying by Nyx side. as they reached the acres, the cmc, Dinky, and Silver Spoon were there. Applebloom greeted both Nyx and Tex. Tex smiled and greeted back. Twilight looked at Tex. "Hey Tex, can you do something for me?" Twilight asked.
"What is it, your highness?"
"Please call me Twilight. Anyway, can you make sure Nyx doesn't get into trouble. I know she told you about her sins she commited during that time, put please, make sure she is safe."
"any thing to protect my friend, Twilight."
Twilight then nodded and said goodbye to Nyx and Tex. As she left, the cmc and Tex went into the house. They saw applejack. "Well howdy there Nyx. Howdy Tex."
"Hey aunt Applejack." said Nyx
"Aunt Applejack?" asked Applebloom
"Did i tell you? Me, Fluttershy Rarity, and Pinkie became Nyx's great Aunts."
"Wow thats neat sis."
"Anyways why don't you go to your clubhouse."
The cmc agreed that they should head to the clubhouse, and headed there along with Tex. as they got to the club house, they noticed the clubhouse was now expanded, another level of the clubhouse build by Applebloom and Applejack. as they walked in, the whole inner area was change. the bottom floor was where the sleepover was going to be. During the sleepover, Tex revealed that the Space Dragons have an ability called the Force. Sometime later they began to Relax. Nyx got out her book and began to read. Tex found the book really neat. Applejack came over to the clubhouse and bought dinner for them. After they had dinner. they began to to Tex. "Tex why did you decide to come here, to earth?" Nyx asked.
"Well basically us Space Dragons live millions of lightyears away from this galaxy. Basically, Space Dragons live on a far away Planet. A very beautiful planet. Space Dragons have the right to leave the Planet and go to a different Planet to live on. Some left and decided to live on different planets in different Galaxies. I for one chose earth because of its resources, friendly life and more. The real reason is that I wanted to have a friend to live with and be kind like their pet dragon and a loyal friend. That's why I chose Earth."
"Does it mean your race will destroy us?" Scootaloo asked in fear."
"No. You see, Space Dragons, We make peace with the other life forms on other planets. We do no harm. we are peace lovers, We don't do destruction.
"So what made you think Nyx needed a friend?" Silver Spoon asked
"I received visions of Nyx, she looked very lonely. that's why i chose to be her friend. To make her not feel alone anymore.
Through out the night, Tex answered the fillies questions about her race. Some questions they asked were classified. When asked how she communicated with Nyx through telepathy, She answered that she has the ability to communicate with Nyx when she thinks of her. She was then asked how everyone saw her. She then stated that she forgot to cloak herself when landing. Tex was even asked what other ability she has. Tex said she has the ability to see things before they happen. After answering all their questions, Tex looked at Nyx. "Hey Nyx, how was it like being Nightmare Moon? Basically Twilight told me part of it and I like to hear from you about what it was like." said Tex.
"Well basically, I didn't like it at all. All because of Spell Nexus. When he was possessed by a dismembered part of the original Nightmare Moons armor, he created me. Summer came and Celestia was tricked by Nexus and took me away from Mom. The spell was created and i committed a bad sin, banished Celestia and Luna to the sun and moon. When i was Queen of Equestria, I never liked it. I even looked mom, Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie belle in a cell all thanks to Nexsus. Every Night memories of my past, when I was with mom came back. The memories one however. i rose the sun after many weeks of eternal night. But what drove me to dropping from the throne, was when Spell Nexus blessed my mom and she tried to kill me while under the influence of the blessing."
Everyone gasped. This was the first time Nyx has mention this. Twilight tried to kill Nyx. Nyx then continued. "I then saw out my window that Mom was about to be hanged. I figure she got falsely charged for attempted murder. as she dropped down, I rescued her. She woke up and told me everything. I then removed the blessing from her body and ordered her to go to zecoras. Next i had to cure Nexus. I did the same thing but found out that the dismembered part was the cause. i destroyed it and i freed the children of nightmare and dropped from the throne. As you may remember the monster attack and everything, after mom convince me to free Celestia and Luna from the sun and moon, I freed them. When my trial came, I was forgiven and was setenced to be my moms daughter under law."
The cmc, Dinky, Silver and Tex were all shocked. Nyx had a terrible experience that year and she was facing it. Tex knew Nyx really didn't like to talk about her past. The time came for them to go to bed and the cmc and the others went to sleep.
The next day
The next day, Tex and Nyx hanged out and started having the time of their lives. Tex even let Nyx ride on her and fly. They also bumped into Pinkie Pie whom was with Twilight. Pinkie was surprised. Nyx now had a friend that lives with her, and a new resident in Ponyville. When Pinkie mention she was going to throw Tex a welcome party, Tex was okay with it. The two then bumped into Rainbow Dash. Dash even befriended Tex, not only because Tex was awesome, But she's a fast dragon. Nyx and Tex then went back to the library and they hung out. During the time she and Tex played cards and Nyx won. Nyx even got a letter from her uncle, Shining Armor and her aunt, Cadence, whom heard that she has found the forgotten emeralds, which they congratulated her for being the new holder, and for defeating Dark Shadow. Nyx even started to read the Daring Do series since Rainbow Dash suggested it to her by saying it's a very good series. During the time Rarity came over and she was speechless when meeting Tex. She first thought Tex was a threat, but Tex stated her species enjoys peace with other life. upon hearing it, Rarity befriended the Dragon. the evening came and Twilight, Lunar, Spike, Nyx, and Tex went to Pinkies welcoming party for Tex.
"That's my friend, She's a Space Dragon, her name is Tex." Nyx said with a squee
"A Space Dragon? you mean those peaceful dragons?"
"Yes, I came to earth and here because i wanted to live on a Planet, where i can have a friend to live with and be their pet Space Dragon."
Tex then spent the whole time explaining how she knew Nyx needed her. When hearing this, Celestia was shocked that Tex had received Visions of Nyx. After Tex explained everything, Celestia allowed Tex to live with Nyx. The evening came and It was time for Nyx, and the crew to go home. when they arrived back at the library, Nyx went and brushed her teeth, and then hopped in bed. She was glad now she has a friend that replaced Peewee.

Sorry if this was a short fanfic, i Planned making A friend for Nyx Short, because It was to introduce another character, which is Tex. So take the hint with the Shining Armor and Cadence part. because the Next fic, is Nyx's family holiday (Half vacation half holiday special.) which is Nyx fanfic number four of the Nyx Chronicles.
