Chapter 1 of The Gears of My Life

Fall into aNew

The day was progressing normally for me, school had just ended and my daily walk home was seemingly uneventful. I checked my fedora to confirm I had placed it on correctly when I left the last class of the day. I swept my dark, brown hair behind my ear and adjusted my backpack and jacket

As I turned around the corner onto my home street. I smelled sulphur in the air and my vision started to bluer, then faded to blackness, I felt as the sensation of falling,falling,falling,falling that is all I sensed, no sound, no touch, no light, not even the sensation of time grasped me. just falling in the black void of god knows ware.

"uuuffff" then i went unconscious.

Twilight Sparkle just fished reorganizing the Ponyvile public library by herself for the umpteenth time. Out of no ware she felt the magical energy around the town spike to levels the purple alcorn had never felt before, or could even imagine.

She sat on the floor of the library for a whole 3 minutes, trying to get over the shock of sensing that much energy. when an eccentric pink mare with a toothless alligator named gummy chomping on her mane, burst threw the door.

"Twilight! you'll never guess what happened today at the field!" exclaimed Pinky Pie.

"Did it involve a massive amount of energy?" asked Twilight.

"I don't know, but I did experience a completely new Pinky Sense!"

"OK, please explain"

"Well i was letting gummy run around when my Pinky Sense went completely berserk then something hit the ground hard behind me. so i scurried state to you knowing you would be super duper interested"

"Can you show me it?"

"Okey,dokey,loike"

As twilight approached me, i groaned in pain form finally gaining consciousness form the fall

"Oh my,"said a concerned twilight.

"what did I trip on?" I moaned.

my vision started to return to see a purple pastel equine in font of me, but my brain didn't register what was happening.

"are you all right?" asked twilight

my brain finally gave up and I went unconsciousness again.

when i finally gained consciousness permanently, I found I was in a library

"thanks for helping me pinky you can go now" said twilight.

"see you later twilight" responded Pinky, living the library.

"Oh good yo are awake, was string to get vary concerned"

My brain was finally processing things and I immediately was shocked at what I saw.

"Wwaat! What's going on? Who are you? What are you? Ware am I?" I stuttered.

I had grabbed my legs and huddle angst the wall, witch was actually a bookshelf. Twilight had backed away with a warm con send look on her face, then she muttered abut messaging some princesses. She ran/flue up the stairs.

"SPIKE! Wake up, I need to send a per to the princesses, it's urgent!" Yelled twilight at the baby dragon sleeping in the other room.

"I'm up, I'm up. yeah, can't I get some sleep around here?" Groaned the sleepy dragon.

"Really need to Inform the princesses of the creature that appeared today outside of Ponyvile."

"OK twilight, but were is the creature? I don't think leaving it out there is a good idea."

"Oh I was concerned to, so I brought. It inside the library. "

"What! Now it's a danger to us. What if....."

"Spike the thing is fairly scared and it looks harmless."

Once the letter was completed and 'mailed' the sleepy dragon went back to sleep, and twilight went back downstairs to see me. I still was crouched down angst the bookshelf contemplating what was happening, but in obvious denial.

"Um, don't be alarmed, but this is all real, I'm real, but I don't really know what is going on. Can you please explain everything that happened to you... oh ware are my manners I am twilight Sparkle."

I hesitated for a bit, but then explained everything that recently happened.

"OK, that is extremely interesting. So do you have a name?

"Yes I'm known as Josh Kiply" I answered in a hesitant tone.

"So ware are you actually from?"

"Can I know ware I am first?"

"This is golden oak library in Ponyvile, Equestra."

"I'm guessing this is not earth, is it?"

"If you are referencing the name of the planet, then no. Earth is the nickname of our planet, but really its celled Gia. so ware are you from? I take it your planet is called earth?"

"Yes, it is. its divided into hundreds of countries. I come form a large island called England."

"If I may ask, ware in England are you from?"

"I live in one of the big cites known as York. It was in the north east."

"Wow I never her of this place, are you're kind the dominant species of the planet?"

"yes we humans have complete control over the planet except for the south pole since no one lives there."

"Wow. That's an astonishing feat. Here in Equestra we one of the dominant species on this planet, but tare are others. we control most of the land. while some of the land is not even explored because of the danger the land poses."

we talked allot more, I learn allot abut Equestria, the different types of creatures and found out humans were just fictional creatures by there standers. Twilight also got to learn what I knew of earth, she seemed vary interested in everything I had said.

That night Twilight made the couch in her 'reading room' a suitable bed for me to sleep in. for three hours I just lad there looking over my school papers and browsing the apps on my phone.

"fucking bloody hell, no internet"

I shod have known that there would be no internet. New world and all, but my mind was preoccupied with remembering my family, friends, my school , and many of the other thing I had unwillingly abandoned. at this I began to sob quietly into the couch pillow. Eventually I had fallen asleep crying.

The next day, twilight awake to knocking at the door.

"Uh, Spike please get the door. "

The only sounds in the library were spike snoring and the knocking at the main door. Twilight releasing spike was still asleep, got up, and went to open the door.

"I'm coming, hold on."

When twilight opened the door, she was greeted by two royal guards and princess celestial and luna.

"Oh, good morning princesses, please come in. I take it you got my letter. "

" Why yes I did" said princesses celestial, waking in.

"It's a delight to be in your presence again twilight " said luna.

"I'll go wake up our guest, we'll be down in a minute " responded twilight.

"Josh wake up the princesses are her to meet you."

I woke up and stared at her

"what time is it?" I sneered. I never was a morning person, and waking up in a new world didn't help.

"It's time to see the princesses" she retorted, rising the blanket of me with her magic.

" Uh ok, I'll come down but at least let me get breakfast. "

I went down and grabbed one of the many fruits twilight had in her kitchen.

When met the princesses, i was astonished to find they were assigned tall as me. The Wight one's horn made her seem taller than me. They introduced themselves as celestial and Luna. Celestial the Wight one and Luna the dark blue one.

Twilight and the two princesses talked, while I ate the fruit I had grabbed. There conversation was mostly about me, i was surprised that I didn't have to chime in to correct anything twilight said. She got very detailed correct. Then came some news from Celestia that I never suspected but it wasn't good.

"I may not know why you arrived in Equestra but I do know how. Ether magic or fate connected our two worlds, but closing between two universes is always fatal. I lost so many protege to Multivers exploration. So i decided to forbid it. I know from watching it a completely panels death but a death none the less."

This friend me greatly but princesses Luna immediately noticed this.

"Sister, I believe we can save this human, his body may be dying but I think..." she whispers sorting in Celesta's ear, witch made her retreat in shock.

"Luna, I'm astonished at you. Just because we are above the law when preforming that spell doesn't mean we SHOULD preform it. Its moral wrong."

"I know it was used as capital punishment in the dark ages, but it will save his life, I thought you considered life to be the most precious thing EVER."

"I... yes...yes I do believe life is unimaginably precious, and seen what you mean. I think its only fair to allow Josh to deicide weather this is right for him...Josh you have three choices here, I can return you to earth but the trip will send you to your death bed.. you can stay her in Equstra as a human for the week or two you have of your life..or finally we can give you a new but permanent body of a pony, you can live the rest of your long life her in Equetra, although this is the most painful of the choices, because the spell we will use was never meant to be plesent."

I was shocked to here this but I didn't hesitate to live my life long and healthy so despite the warning of pain, I chose the third option.

"I'd rather live my life long, not short, so I opted the third." respond with sudden confidence."but I'd rather let my family know I'm all right, is that possible?"

"Yes, inanimate objects that travel between universe don't get harmed its only the living that do."

"Um... will you excuse me for a moment I need to Wright a letter."

I went to the room were my bag, coat, and hat were, got out some paper, got my pen, and started to write the later to my family.

writing the letter singed a hole in my hart, knowing that we'd never be able to see each other, and if we did, one of us would die. then I preceded downstairs.

"OK I'm done with the letter" I announced sombrely. "oh, Princes Celesta is there a way to have my parents send letters back her to Equestria?"

"Oh easy." she summoned a tall, white candle with her magic. "Twilight can you get spike for me please."

"yes your highness......SPIKE! THE PRINCESS NEEDS YOU!"

"OK TWILIGHT! I"LL BE DOWN IN A MOMENT"

once spike got downstairs, the princess made melted the wax while keeping it in its shape with her magic. spike immediately new what was happening, and spat his saliva into the molten wax. one it was dry she gave it to me.

"you might want to write the instructions on the paper"she said to me.

" what are the instructions?"

"hold on I'm getting to that. the candle works by burning the letter that needs to be to be sent in the flame of this candle. since spikes spit is inside the candle he will belch up the letter when its sent. all you have to do is have spike burn your letters with his breath and the candle will automatic light and the letter will materialise in the smoke. it works across universes. I have sent letters across universes before."

immediately scribbled some simple instructions on the bottom of the letter, then wrapped it around the candle, giving it to celesta. she then sent it off with a bright yellow flash.

"How do you know it will get to the right place?" I questioned.

"magic is a funny thing, don't worry only an inexperience or "bad" unicorn would mess something up like this. I don't even have to know ware the correct destination is magic will make it arrive at the correct location."

"shall we proceed to our next agenda?" inquired Luna.

The Pain Of Change

We proceed down to the basement of the library because that's where twilight had a large open space for spell casting. i was asked to disrobe, with made me fairly uncomfortable because I only felt comfortable when modest around people. then again, these were ponies they probably don't have a strict of a definition to indecency as humans do.

"Now I would like evrypony to step back"ordered Luna.

Her horn started to glow dark blue then the energy started to move towards me, it circled my body then it made contact with my body. I feel the most excruciating pain in my life, it felt like my bones had turned into dust, and all my muscles were being ripped apart! I watched my hands fuse together and become hooves and my hips recede further up my spine thus forming my tail. then I blacked out from the overload of pain

When I woke up, I was in twilight's bed.

"Yes princess, I will. Good bye" I heard twilight say.

She then came up stares to check on me.

"Oh good you are awake. I was just talking to the princess before the left about your situation, and we have decided to have you train in magic with me as your teacher. but first I think you want to see your new body."

"Yes............ah.. Wants wrong with my voice.. Its so high pitched...... Am I a girl?" I panicked.

"From what I saw when we cared you up here, You Are a boy. I this weird that you have a voice like a mares?"

I Was relieved to hear this. Twilight then levitated me out of the bed And set me down on the floor. Ones she released her magical hold on me, I collapsed, she then pick me back up.

"it's time to teach you how to walk." she said joyfully.

This reaped for three hours until I finally was able to walk to the bathroom. it was hard endeavourer just to do a single task that should be natural.

In the bathroom I was able to get a look at my self. I was very skinny and nimble, my coat was a nice orange, my hair was a deep blue with a purple stripe, and longer than twilight's. I had a orange horn that matched my coat. I also noted that I didn't have a cute mark tattoo (I had asked twilight about those earlier). My tail was the same as my mane long, blue and purple. I filled it and was reworded it the pleasurable sensation of it brushing against my balls I held back the smile my face wanted to make. looked down to find my genitalia slightly poking out of my stealth, it was a dark auburn colour. I turned around and lifted my tail to get a good look at my plot. Ware my fur didn't cover I saw an auburn coloured skin and nice small virgin ring for a tail hole. I no longer had body issues as I did when I was human. I remembered twilight was her all and saw her trying to repress a giggle.

"sorry" I blushed.

"Its OK, I would be as curious as you are, but I would be taking notes. this is all a new experience for you."

My stomach started to hurt really bad, it was much More painful than starvation, I was so painful, I fell to the floor with cringing an morning.

"What's wrong, where does it hurt?"

"My..stomach... It feels as though its trying to eat itself!"

"Let me Get you some food."

She rushed into her kitchen and returned with a bowls of what I thought were French fries, which I gobbled up immediately. after a short amount of time my stomach stooped hurting finally able to digest something other than itself.

"Thank you twilight I'm glad I can call you a new friend" I said with a smile, getting up.

"you are welcome."

"this reminds me of something my mother always says. 'The Fires of Hell will always end, with a true Friend.'."

"that's lovely or a bit scary in my opinion but its the thought that counts. speaking of friends, we have about three hours till sundown why don't we go and visit some of my best friends." said a grinning twilight.
