Unexpected Arrivals

Back in Ponyville

I wonder what I'm going to tell them today... I thought to myself as I looked out the window of my home. I looked at Twilight's library and saw 4 ponies walk in, then a few seconds later I heard a knock on my door.

"Guess that's my cue," I said while opening the door.

"Hey Frost Bite! You ready?" Pinkie asked.

"As I'll ever be," I answered. I always carried my knife on me because I never knew when something or somepony was going to strike. We walked to Twilight's place and when I opened the door, I was welcomed with tons of hugs.

"Hi Frost, what are you going to show us today?" Rainbow asked me.

"Yeah, what will you put out for us?" Twilight added.

"I have a few things I could show you, for instance I can instantly freeze an attacking foe with a counter-attack."

"Really?" asked Applejack,

"Yeah, and I'm also a close range weaponry master. All but one of my weapons are concealed back at my home." I said.

"What isn't back at your house?" asked Rarity.

"My butterfly knife, I keep it with me wherever I go because you never know when something bad might happen and somepony decides to attack." I replied.

"Wait, a what now? What kind of knife? Can we see it?" Rainbow asked.

"Sorry girls, I don't pull it out unless if I'm at home or if I really need it for self defense." I told them

All of them simultaneously groaned as they had wanted to see the knife.

A few hundred yards from Ponyville

Deadshot was close as he had seen Town Hall from atop a small mountain. Satisfied, he hurried to Ponyville. He browsed the town looking for Frost Bite. High and low, far and wide, he searched and searched and searched until he gave up. Lucky for him, the town's DJ was just strolling by him,

"Hey, you there! Do you know Frost Bite?" Deadshot asked.

"Yeah I do, moved in here a few months back. And the name's Vinyl. Frost is a pretty cool colt." Vinyl replied.

"Have you seen him within the past few hours?"

"Yeah he went into that library a few minutes ago." Vinyl said.

"Okay, thanks" Deadshot said before running to the library.

At Twilight's library

"-I then put my hoof on the back of the enemy's neck in a swift, fluid motion and freeze them. From that point I can either hit them hard and end their life, or throw them to the ground and pin them down with this!" Immediately as I said that, I had flipped out the butterfly knife and opened it.

"Whoa, that's amazing. But how do they not die from hitting the ground?" Twilight asked.

"It's because I c-" My ears perked up and i stopped dead in the middle of my sentence.

"Somepony is at the door," Just as I said that, Pinkie's body start shaking rapidly.

"I know that body message, something unexpected is going to happen."

"How can you-" Twilight was interrupted as there was a loud banging at the door.

"Might be an enemy, everypony hide." I said quietly to them. As the banging got louder and louder, I took my stance and readied myself. The unknown force on the other side of the door was starting to ram into it,

"Open it Twilight!" With the simple glow of her horn, the door flung open and a tan unicorn with a black mane with red tips burst through the doorway. I took the unicorn's hoof, swept it out from underneath him, and put my hoof to the back of his neck and froze him instantly. I then grabbed the frozen statue and threw it to the ground, pinning the unicorn against the floor with my knife against his neck.

"Whoa whoa Frost, stand down!!" The familiar voice yelled.

"D-Deadshot?"

"Yeah, it's me. I ever tell you that you're full of surprises?" Deadshot cunningly stated.

"No shit. Deadshot, what the fuck!?! You can go trying to barge through doors like they're nopony's business. I damn near killed you. What are you doing here anyway?" I asked

"The team needs you back, Frost. At first I thought the team would be alright with your departure, but shit was I wrong. The others don't get information as easily or kill as quickly and thoroughly as you do." Deadshot replied. I heard a gasp.

"Is he telling the truth? Did you really kill?" Fluttershy asked with concern.

I sighed, "Yes I did, but it was for a good cause."

"How can killing be for a good cause?" Pinkie asked.

"Better get settled. This will be quite an explaination."
