Day Of Abandoning

The sun shines brightly in the sky, its rays of light warming all of Equestria, the birds on the trees sing their happy songs, and everypony trot with delight, without a care in the world. Except one pony or princess to be exact, Princess Twilight Sparkle sits in her room surrounded by large stacks of books, only keeping her focus on the printed contexts of the book.

"'Twilight'! 'Twilight'! 'Twiiilliigght'!" a loud voice was heard downstaires, a small purple and green baby dragon comes upstaires, holding something in his claws.

"Ugh! 'Spike' what is it!?" Twilight said as she turned around, facing Spike "You know I don't like to be interrupted when I am reading my books!"

"I know but 'Princess Celestia' sent you a letter" Spike replied, he holds out his claws and reveals a scroll, Twilight uses a levitation spell to take the scroll from Spike.

"Oh hehe thanks" Twilight said as she began to unfold the scroll and reads it out load, "Dear ' Princess Twilight', I request for you to come and meet me at the castle for I have some important news I wish to consult with you, bring your friends if you wish but please make haste as this information is vital for Equestria's future sincerely 'Celestia'" "Oh my this sounds serious I better round up the girls and get to Canterlot stat!" Twilight said in a panic, "Come on 'Spike'!"

Spike puts his claws on his back, grabs his right wrist with his left claw and swings his body back and forth with a worried expression, "well um I kind of already promised 'Rarity' I would help her look for gems".

"What!?" Twilight shouts, " are you kidding me! Didn't you hear what the letter said? The fate of Equestria is at stake here!"

"I know what the letter said but I can't just let the most beautiful, most fashionable, most glam-"

"Spike" Twilight said with a unsatisfied expression.

"...orous, most sophisticated, mo-" Spike continuous.

"Spiike" Twilight said raising her voice a little.

"..st perfect of perfect poni-" Spike says, still ignoring Twilight.

"SPIIIIKE!" Twilight yelled, at the top of her lungs.

"Oh gesh 'Twilight' what!?" Spike said, finally snapping back to reallity.

"We don't have time for this lets just find 'Rarity' and get her to change her plans for another day," Twilight said as she trotted out the door and makes her way to Rarity's boutique with Spike close at hoof.

Twilight and Spike make it to Rarity's boutique and knock on the door. A female voice is heard from the inside, "just a minute please," Twilight and Spike wait for a while and finally the door opens "Hello? Oh 'Twilight' its you," Rarity said with a happy tone "ah and Spikie-Wikie your here just in time, I am already for that gem hunt," Rarity said pulling out a small red wagon.

"Actually 'Rarity' that’s why were here, you see I got this letter from Princess Celestia requesting us to meet her at the castle in Canterlot," Twilight explained.

"Oh dear," Rarity gasped, "that sounds important but..." Rarity pauses and looks down, " am afraid I can't, you see I got this very important client that wants my new line of dresses by the end of the week and I am already behind as it is".

"Wha-what!?" Twilight said dumbstruck

" I know its very selfish of me, but I just can't loose this client," Rarity said shamefully, "besides does the letter really say I am needed?" asked Rarity.

"Well honestly it just asks for me to go," Twilight explained, "but still..."

"I am tearably sorry dearie, but like I said I can't afford to loose this client" Rarity said with a heavy heart "I don't feel right asking this but could Spikie-Wikie still accompany me?"

"Fine" Twilight said with disappointment, Rarity started troting and Spike grabed the red wagon and started following her, Twilight stands infront of the boutique "Ugh okay 'Twilight' there's no point in standing around I still got a find everypony else, okay Sugar Cube Corner is just around the corner I'll just get 'Pinkie Pie' from their and then 'Applejack', 'Rainbow Dash' and finally 'Fluttershy' and then were off to Canterlot," Twilight begins to head toward Sugar Cube Corner.

As Twilight entered Sugar Cube Corner she sees the Cakes galoping around in a panic including Pinkie Pie,"Oh hi 'Twillight' sorry but I can't talk right now were like Super Duper Looper busy right now, we have like orders from almost everypony in ponyville its crazy everypony just all of a sudden came in and order a bunch no no more like a ton no wait maybe more like a tounch of desserts out of the blue, and oh man I haven't been this exhausted since..."

"PINK-IE!" yelled both Twilight and the Cakes

"Oops sorry, oh hey 'Twilight' you seem a bit hungry here have this cupcake" Pinkie said sincerely

"Um thanks 'Pinkie Pie'" Twilight said as she began to eat the cupcake

"Yeah don't worry about it, somepony just left it in here and I didn't want it to go to waste" Pinkie Pie explained

Twilight's pupil become smaller, and spits out the cupcake "pffff 'Pinkie'! Thats disgusting, you don't know where that pony's hoofs have been!? "

"Oh yeah, sorry 'Twilight'" Pinkie shrugged

"So what brings you here dear?' asked Mrs. Cake

"You didn't come here to ah order any thing did you?" asked Mr. Cake

"Well no not really I actually jus-"

"Oh thank goodness" Mr. Cake said in relief

"Wait you mean you don't want anymore customers?" Twilight asked

"We know it sounds strange but we've just been busy, everypony ordering one thing and then another and another its been going on all day, its as if they haven't eaten in years," explained Mrs. Cake

"Oh well, I am guessing now wouldn't be the right time to ask if I could take 'Pinkie Pie' would it?" requested Twilight.

"Oh dear Celestia no" Mrs. Cake replied

"I am sorry Twilight but we really need 'Pinkie Pie' to stay here, we just have to many orders," Mr. Cake explained.

"Sorry 'Twilight' but were just going to have to play laaaa tomorrow, yup definitely tomorrow, okay bye" Pinkie Pie said as she galoped toward the kitchen. Twilight stood their as everypony started disappearing in to the kitchen, Twilight finally left Sugar Cube Corner and slowly started troting to Sweet Apple Acrs.

When Twilight arrived at Sweet Apple Acrs she notice something strange, she concentrated on what was wrong and suddenly it hit her, it was too quite, every time Twilight visited Sweet Apple Acres she would hear the rustling of the trees, the hard bonking on the wood and the apples falling in to a wooden bucket as Applejack bucked the trees with her powerful hoofs, but today its as if Twilight was in a ghost town, no pony or soul in sight. Twilight slowly approched the barn and asked, "Is any pony here?"

"Eeyup," Big Macintosh blurted out from behind Twiilight

"Waahaa!" Twilight jumped a few inches away from Big Macintosh, "ba-ba-Big Macintosh were did you come from? w-were you standing their the whole time?" asked Twilight

"Nnope," Replied Big Macintosh

"Umm well do you know where AppleJack is?" Twilight inquire

"Eeyup," replied Big Macintosh

"Great can you tell me?" Twilight asked with a happier tone

"Eeyup" Big Macintosh entered the barn and in a couple of minutes he came back with a piece of paper in his mouth, Twilight used her levitation spell and took it from Big Mac.

"This is a post card from Applepalooza? Wait are you implying AppleJack went to Applepalooza?" Twilight inquired.

"Eeyup" Big Macintosh answered

"Great of all days to visit her cousin she picks today, ugh well I am sure 'Rainbow Dash' and 'Fluttershy' would come along with me" Twilight stated as she troted away.

"Nnope" Big Macintosh stated

As Twilight gets closer to Rainbow Dash's house she notice a piece of paper taped on her mailbox. "Dear Friends, Wonderbolt Academy asked me to give a speech to the new recruits and since its coming from yours truly you know its going to be awesome, heck I might even inspire them to be 20% closer to being half as good as me, but they'll still need the other 100% to be any where close to my level, any way I'll be gone for the rest of the day and won't be back till tomorrow in the afternoon, I know it'll be tough getting threw 24 hours without me but trust me you'll make it, -until then RD," Twilight takes a deep breath and exhales, as she takes a deep breath she puts her right hoof on her chest and points it forward as she exhales, "Okay well 'Fluttershy' wouldn't let me down right, shes not the kind of pony that would let her friends feel abondoned right, right," Twilight said, with a nervous twitch.

As Twilight makes her way to Fluttershy's cottage she started to hear voices in her head "Do you really think 'Fluttershy' would be any different?" "Oh am sure she will becaues if theirs one thing I know about 'Fluttershy' is that she dosen't like to disappoint her friends," "Well think about it 'Rarity' is suppose to be generous, but instead of giving up her time for you she selfishly takes Spike to go and look for some gems for her 'very' important client" "Well that was very rude" "And then 'Pinkie Pie' she claims to want to make everypony happy but are you happy?" "No I am not, if anything I am more stressed then I have ever been," "Oh and honest 'AppleJack' rather be with her real family then you" "Yeah when it comes to it, 'AppleJack' would pick her real family over us," "And don't even get me started on 'Rainbow Dash', she rather brag about herself to total strangers then to help you out" "She always brags about how fast she is just because she can do a Sonic Rainboom , ha I don't even need to do much to get from one place to another all I need is my teleportation spell," "in a sence your the fastest one here," "hey thats true, I should be the one braging about my magical powers".

"Um 'Twilight', are you okay?" Twilight came to her sense and saw Fluttershy in front of her looking at her with great concern.

"Um yeah why do you ask?" Twilight stated

"Oh well you've been standing infront of my cottage for a while now talking to yourself and I just didn't know if it would be all right to interrupt you, like I did just now, oh I hope your not mad at me." Fluttershy confessed

"No its fine, and don't worry about that, it was just something I did to relief some stress" Twilight explaind, "oh hey while your here can I ask you to go to Canterlot with me?" Twilight asked

"Oh well I am sorry but I can't," Fluttershy said, with sorrow

"Figures," Twilight said disappointed, " And why not,"

"Well I am taking care of an injured bear, poor thing was covered in deep bite marks, strangest thing is they weren't canine teeth marks or any kind of meat eating creatures, they were more like teeth marks from ponies, here I'll take you to him" Fluttershy took Twilight around the back of her cottage, their laying on the floor was a big grizzly bear covered with bloody bandages, ripped up fur, and appearce to be struggling, "but why would anypony do this to a poor creature?"

"The better question is how could anypony do this kind of damage with just their bare teeth?" Twilight pondered.

"I think that pony had a cold or something too because he seems to be fighting back some kind of disease" Fluttershy continued.

"Well okay then, I'd better head towards the station now if I want to catch the train for Canterlot, I hope your bear gets better," said Twilight

"Thank you, and I am really sorry I can't go with you to Canterlot," Fluttershy apologized, " Oh um 'Twilight' not to be nosie but can't you just fly to Canterlot or teleport your self their instead?"

"Honestly I still haven't got in the hang of my wings yet and teleporting actually takes a bit more magic then any of my other spells, plus I need the ride in the train to get things together," explained Twilight

"Oh okay then bye 'Twilight'"

Twilight just bearly made it on board the train and as she sits on the seat she starts to hear the same voice as before, "So even Fluttershy huh" "Okay fine I get it I'am better of by my self on this one but could you please just not talke to me when were with Princess Celestia, I don't want her to think I am insane okay" "meh I make no promises."

Day Of Infection

As Princess Twilight Sparkle makes her way towards the castle, she notice that the once busy streets of Canterlot is a complete ghost town, all the doors shut and locked, all windows are covered up by curtains, and only the passing of the wind is heard.

"Wow this sure is a dead town," said the voice inside Twilight's head "I thought I said not to talk to me" Twilight stated with a blank face "I think not, you said not to talk to you when were near Celestia, plus I never agreed to anything remember" "...," Twilight looked down, not knowing how to counter that last statement Twilight decised to change the subject "So 'who' or what are you?" "If your implying that I'am that Discord fellow, then your dead wrong, I just happen to be your subconscious finally speaking out to you" "Thats not how it works" "Believe what you want, just know I am here to stay," questioning her sanity, Twilight decides that it was more important to meet with the princess, then to talk to a fragment of her imagination.

Upon entering the castle, two royal guards greeted her, "Ah Princess 'Twilight' we've been expecting you," said one of the guards

"The princesses will meet you in the throne room, please follow us," said the second guard, as Twilight followed the two guards she noticed something different about them, the first guard that spoked to her had a white coat and blond mane, the difference between him and the others is that he dosen't wear a helmet, showing off his slicked back mane, but the thing that caught her attention the most was that he was wearing sunglasses indoors, and his cutie mark is covered up by the armor, the second one is a unicorn, he's different mainly because he has a slightly dark blue coat and a orange mane, most of Princess Celestia's guards have white or gray colored coats, and since he too wears the royal armor Twilight can't see his cutie mark.

The two guards open the door to the throne room, as Twilight entered she was greeted by her brother Shining Armor and her sister-in-law Princess Cadence, "Twily!" Shining Armor said with great enthusiasm

"'Shinning Armor', 'Cadance'!" Twilight run and gave each of them a hug, Twilight and Cadance started to do their usual thing.

"Sunsine, Sunshine, Ladybugs awake, clap your hooves, and do a little shake" both Twilight and Cadance laughed.

"So why are the two of you here? Shouldn't you be at the Crystal Empire?" asked Twilight

"'Princess Celestia' requested for us to be here,"explained Cadence, " and I am guessing your here for the same reason".

"That is correct," Princess Celestia walks into the room and sits on her throne, with her sister Luna sitting by her side, "I am pleased that all three of you could make it".

"Princess 'Celestia', whats this all about?" asked Twilight

"Princess 'Twilight' I see your friends are not with you, is everything all right?" asked Celestia

"Yes they just, couldn't find the time to come" replied Twilight

"I see, well then to answer your question 'Twilight', I have requested your presence to speak to you about a very concerning matter, for a while now citizens of Canterlot have been dissappearing, the ponynappers have not made any communications with anypony, I have sent out many royal guards to investigate, most of the time they return with little or no information, however when they do have something its always the same, they find that the pony is dead" even though Celestia is know for not showing any kind of weakness, Twilight could see the sadness in her old teacher's eyes.

"The pain of not being able to protect her subjects from an unknown enemy, I can't even imagine how it must feel like," Twilight finds herself tearing up.

"For now we've been able to keep the death of these ponies a secrete," Princess Luna continues her sister's speech, "I am sure you all saw how Canterlot is very quiet, that was the reaction of the citizens just hearing the words ponynapping, if they were to here about the death of ponies, well we think its best they don't find out about it until we resolved the situation".

Concerned, Shinning Armor asked "Wait so you don't even know who's responseable for this?"

"At the time being no, but thats why the three of you are here, we wish to warn you so that you could take extra precautions and for your help as well". continued Luna

"As a former memeber of the Royal guards of course" proclaimed Shinning Armor as he bow down

"I will be honored to help" Cadence said as she bow down

"Don't worry Princess we won't let you down" stated Twilight as she began to bow down

Celestia looked into their eyes, one after the other, and she saw their determination, "Thank you all," she responded with a smile on her face, "It has been a long day, we will continue this tomorrow, we have prepared rooms for the three of you, the two guards outside will escort you". Celestia stomped her hooves, the doors open and the two guards walk in.

"You've called your highness," the guard with the sunglasses said as he bow down

"Yes, please escort Princess 'Twilight', 'Shinning Armor 'and Princess 'Cadance' to their rooms," requested Celestia

"But of coures your highness," the guard with the sunglasses said, "Blade, you take the lovely couple to their rooms, and Princess Twilight..."

"Um, just Twilight is fine" said Twilight

"As you wish, Miss 'Twilight' I will be escorting you to your room, please follow me," said the guard with sunglasses.

"Sure lead the way," Twilight said as she followed the guard. During that time Twilight asks, "I've never seen you or the other guard before, are you two new here?"

"No we've been working here for quit sometime, the reason you haven't seen us because we work at a different area of the castle, the only reason we had to change positions is because the princess has send out so many guards to investigate the ponynappings, that they were left short hoofed," replied the guard.

"I see, may I ask where in the castle were you guarding?" asked Twilight

"Sorry thats confidential, even for you," replied the guard

"oh okay, then can you at least tell me your name?" asked Twilight

"It would be an honor for a princess such as yourself to know my name, I am 'Albert Wesker', but you can just call me 'Wesker'," replied Wesker, " and my associate you saw a while ago is named 'Honor Blade'"

"'Albert Wesker'? Strange name, it doesn't sound like it would connect with his special talent," Twilight thought. Wesker and Twilight went up a couple of stairs, passed a few hallways, and saw a few maids and guards as they walked by, until Wesker stopped in front of a door.

"Here we are," Wesker opened the door, "We do hope you enjoy the room," Wesker said as he moved aside for Twilight to enter. As Twilight entered the room she saw a large queen bed with white blankets, the bed was place in the middle of the room with the head board press against the wall, three medium size pillows over lapping two large pillows, all five of them white, the rug had a silver colored, flower pattern, they had at least five inches of space from every direction, two small dressers are place next to the bed, both colored white with the edges colored silver, a large stand alone mirror is place at the left of the room, also pressed along the wall, and a closet with sliding doors, and a single window to the right wall, leting in the last light of the sunset into the room.

"Yes, this will do just fine, thank you 'Wesker'," Twilight said as she continued to observe the room

"I am glade to hear that, now I must make my leave, I have something to attend to, have a good night," Wesker leaves the room with a smirk on his face.

"I wonder what happen to those poor ponies, it must be really hard for Princess 'Celestia', Twilight yawns, "Well were going to invesigate this more tomorrow right now I got to get some sleep," Twilight headed to the queen sized bed, unfolded the blanket, laid down and covered her self.

~Four hours later~

"EeeeeeYAAAAHHHH!" A loud scream wakes Twilight up in a panic

"Wha-what was that?!" Twilight slowly got out of bed and troted towards the door, as she open the door she can hear the voice of another pony yelling

"NO! P-PLEASE STAY BACK!" the voice came from down the hall, Twilight gallops toward the voice, thinking that it might be the ponynapppers trying to take some other pony, as Twilight reaches the end of the hall she turns to the right and continues galloping, Twilight stops when she gets to the stairs, she lookes down and sees two royal guards with their heads hunched down over something, Twilight slowly walks down the stairs trying to see what they were doing, as she did she could hear the guards are munching.

"Are... are they eating something?" Twilight thought as she got closer, "E...excuse me but have any of you heard a scream," the guards groan, "he...hello?" the guards raise their heads and turned to Twilight, one look of the guards faces and Twilight was horrifiyed, both the guards mouth were oozing with blood and small bits of meat, their eyes were as small as bits and as yellow as the sun and their pupils were dilated, the two guards start to walk toward Twilight, and as they moved Twilight could see that they were hunching over one of the maids, a larg part of her torso was missing, she could see the inside, all her ribs, heart, liver, and its body nearly covored by its own blood, Twilight steps back, "they... they killed her?! but there suppose to be protecting ponies why would they do such a thing?" the guards start to get closer, "Oh no I think there after me now, I got to get out of here!" Twilight starts galloping back up the stairs and turns to the right and gallops down the hallway, Twilight hears a loud thumbing noise over and over again, each time it becomes more louder, Twilight stops and sees that the loud thumbing is coming from behind a door, not wanting to get any closer, Twilight stands their with fear in her eyes and sweating bullets, then the door breaks open and a maid falls out, her eyes were the same as the guards, not wanting to take the chance, Twilight trys to gallop back but was stopped as she saw the two guards from a little while a go, "Aahh! I am traped! no I can just use my teleportation spell," Twilight started the spell but as she tryed to gather her magic it failed, "What!? whats wrong with me, why can't I use my magic! oh no, I really am traped!" Twilight cuddle down and placed her hoofs on top of her head, closed her eyes and waited for the worst.

"HAAAAaaa!" a loud yell came from behind the two guards, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH OUR PRINCESS!" Twilight opened her eyes and lifted her head to see a stallion galloping towards the two guards, he smashed the guard's head to his right with his left hoof, the guard is push to his side and smashes in to the wall, then the stallion quickly positioned himself to face the other guard on his left and smashed his head with his right hoof, "Princess 'Twilight'! follow me!" Twilight got back up on her hoofs and nodded, the stallion started galloping down they way he came and Twilight followed, after a few turns the stallion stopped and opened a door, "quickly in here," Twilight entered the room and the stallion followed, as he entered he started grabing what ever he could to barakat the door, he grabed an oval table, and chairs.

"What is this place?" Twilight asked, as she looked around she saw a small area kitchen, the rug was colored blue and the wall paper had blue, and white strips that go from the bottom to the top, and a few sofas placed against the wall.

"This is the royal guard's break room," the stallion said as he finished placeing the last chair, Twilight notices another door near the kitchen area.

"What about that door?" Twilight asked

"Thats just the bathroom, don't worry I already checked it out this door is the only way into this room, we'll be safe in here, well for now at least," the stallion explained

"Well thank you very much for saving me Mr. umm?" said Twilight

"Oh thats right, I never really properly introduced myself, my name is 'Honor Blade', but you can just call me Blade if you'd like, or HB I am fine with ethier one," Honor Blade stated

"'Honor Blade', oh thats right he's the other guard that works with 'Wesker', he looks a bit different with out the royal armor, although I guess I should have notice earlier, from his coat and mane color, I guess I was to scared from what happen" "I'd say, your suppose to be a powerful figure that all ponies should look up to and you can't even save yourself from a couple of guards" said Twilights subconscious "Hey I wasn't talking you!" Twilight yelled

"Umm what," Honor Blade said with a stubbed look

"Oh hee, sorry I was, it was, umm well, just forget I said that," "real smooth" "Hey I didn't ask you, besides you never talked about me like that so why now?" "I just say what you think, you know your suppose to be the one that protects other ponies, but if you can't even protect yourself then maybe your not fit to be a princess" "geh," Twilight lowers her head.

"You okay Princess 'Twilight'?" Honor Blade asked

"Ye...yes I am fine, I just, can't believe whats happening," Twilight said try to ignore the voice in her head

"Beats me, a friend of mine said one of the guards was sick and wanted to take him to the hospital, so he woke me up to take his postion, but while he was carring him the guard just attacked him, I was able to get the guard away from him, I took him here but after a while he started coughing out blood, I didn't know what to do, and then he started telling me to...well end his life, at first we just argued about it, but all of a sudden he attcked me, I had no choice, after that I heard a scream and went to go check it out, when I saw those two guards going down the hallway I saw a figure, I didn't know it was you but I still followed, and after I heared you scream, I rushed over and well you know the rest," Honor Blade said

"I am sorry about your friend," Twilight apologized

"No its fine besides we should be worring about whats going on now," stated Honor Blade

"Right, but hey how did you know it was me who screamed?" asked Twilight

"Oh I am just good at remembering ponies voices, hey by the way you didn't happen to see Princess 'Celestia' or 'Luna', have you?" Honor Blade asked

"No, wait do you mean their missing?" exclaimed Twilight

"Not sure, I just haven't seen or heared anything about them since the meeting," responded Honor Blade

"They would probably know what to do, we've got to find them," Twilight proclamied

"Right, besdies as a royal guard its my dutie to protect them," Honor Blade mentioned, Honor Blade started moving everything he stacked up out of the way "Damn I guess it was pointless of me to have done this in the first place" after he cleared the door, they took a peak outside, they didn't see anypony, and continued moving.

"I am also worried about 'Cadence' and 'Shining Armor', do you think we could find them," Twilight asked

"Yeah, if were lucky they could still be in their room, come on I know where it is," Honor Blade followed by Twilight continue going down the hallway until they made it to a spiral stair, "The princess wanted them to have more privacy, so their staying in this tower," Honor Blade explained

"A tall tower with lots of stairs, great," Twilight utter with a frown

"Whats wrong with that?" asked Honor Blade

"Lets just say I am tired of them, all right," responded Twilight

"Okay then?" said Honor Blade confused, as they walk up the stairs they can hear a strange noise outside the walls, the more they continue moving the more louder the noise become.

"What's that sound?!" inquired Twilight

"I have no idea," answered Honor Blade, as both of them got closer to the top, a loud boom shocked the tower, "What the?!"

` "Was that an explosion?!" Twilight yelled

"Damn it! sounds like it came from the room, come on we better hurry!" Honor Blade and Twilight galloped to the top, by the time they get to the door the strange noise is even more louder then ever, they felt as if they were going to run into a small tornado, as they open the door a huge gust of wind hit them, as a reaction they close their eyes, however still wanting to see what is causeing the wind they open their eyes half way and saw a stallion standing in front of a hole in the wall, and with some strange flying machine.

"Ah, Princess 'Twilight' and 'Blade', what a pleasent surprise,came to see me off?" the loud noice the stange machine was making, made it hard for them to hear the stallion

"Who are you?!" Honor Blade shouted

"You mean after all this time, you still can't recognize me?" the stallion started walking towards Twilight and Honor Blade, the stallion had a white coat, and a slicked back blond mane, he is wearing sunglasses and a black leather jacket

"We...'Wesker'?!" Honor Blade uttered

"Well at least you know my name, thats a start, however I am afraid were going to have to go our own sepreate ways from here, I do hope you survive long enough for us to have a 'happy' reunion," Wesker stated as he turned back and began to trot towards the flying machine.

"Wait!" Twilight shouted, "Do you know where the princesses and my brother are?!"

Wesker looks back at Twilight and says, "Lets just say, they're safe from the rain of chaos, under our UMBRELLA," he turns back to the flying machine, a part of the machine slids open and Wesker jumps on it and looks back towards the two, "One last friendly advice, these monsters you've been seeing are attracted to loud noises, they'll probably be swarming the castle within minutes, I'd be best if you two get out before they overwhelm you," the machine starts to fly away, as it gets further away the opening door starts to slide back shut.

Back at the tower the two ponies are left in a castle beginning to be overflowed with monsters.

Day Of Losing

As the strange flying machine disappears from site, Twilight Sparkle and Honor Blade continue to stare into the distance, still unable to comprehend with the situation. It wasn't until Twilight heard noises coming from outside that she snapped back to her senses, shaking her head Twilight trotted over to the hole in the wall, as she looked down she saw Canterlot in chaos, from what she could see every building had their windows and doors broken, and somehow a fire started on a few of the buildings, that's when Twilight looked lower and saw a huge crowd of objects entering the castle, "Are those *gulp* the monsters we've seen?"

Honor Blade blinked a couple of times before heading towards the hole in the wall, "Oh crap," he said as he looked down, "we've got to get out of here, before were trapped in,"

'I'd hate to say it but, we are trapped, those things are coming in from the only exit out of here," Twilight starts to touch her horn, "and I can't use my magic at all, and flying is out of the question since it requires magic, not to mention I am still not used to them, so how are we suppose to get out of here?" Twilight asked, "unless of course, you can cast a teleportation spell".

"No, but I think I know how we can get out of the castle, without having to fight our way threw all those monsters," Honor Blade said

"R-really?!" Twilight quickly turned to Honor Blade

"Yeah but we better hurry, if we stay in this tower for to long, then were really screwed," Honor Blade mentioned, Twilight nodded her head and the two galloped back down the stairs, but as they reached the bottom they were confronted by eight of those monsters, two maids, three royal guards, and three canterlot citizens, "Damn, they made it this far in already?!" Honor Blade's horn began to glow green, he closed his eyes and began to gather his magic, "Magic Bomb!" he shouted launching his head forward, a small ball of fuzz shot out and landed in the middle of the group, a small explosion pushes them a few feet away from each other.

"A small explosion? I was hoping for something more amazing," Twilight said with a frown

Honor Blade frowned and moved his eyes to look at Twilight, "Hey I didn't have enough time to gather more magic miss, I can't even use my own magic," Honor Blade looked forward,"Oh crap," just realizing he mocked a princess, Honor Blade turned to Twilight and apologized "I am sorry princess, I didn't mean to insult you like that," Honor Blade lowered his head.

"Oh, no, no, no," Twilight shook her head, "I should be the one apologizing, please just treat me like any other pony, not that titles matter any more any way," Twilight stated, the group of monsters started to get back up, "we should probably continue this another time".

"Right, come on this way," Honor Blade galloped pass the monsters and Twilight followed, after going threw more hallways, stairs, and fighting threw a few monsters Honor Blade finally stopped in front of a painting on the wall, "Okay we just got a ..." Honor Blade inspected the painting, the painting had three ponies, one of each species, a earth pony, a pegusis, and a unicorn, all smiling and dressed in phru phru clothing, and sitting around a table displaying a lot of food, inside of an old fashion house, a windigos is seen threw a window, Honor Blade shot a beam of magic at the windigos, after a few seconds the windigos disappears and a outline of a heart appears on top of the three ponies, the wall starts to shake and a staircase is shown going down.

"Wow I didn't know this castle had secret passages," Twilight said trying to look how far this staircase goes

"Well of course, their dozens of them around the castle," Honor Blade explained, "why the princess don't use them is beyond me," Honor Blade stood on his hind legs with his hooves bend but keeping them up to his face, and shooking his head.

While going down stairs Twilight asked, "So this passage will take us outside?"

"Yes, but there's another reason why I wanted to take this one,"

"Why this one?"

"You'll see in a while, although to be honest I don't feel right, having to resort to this," Honor Blade sighed

"I wonder what has him upset?" Twilight thought, as they reached the bottom of the stairs they saw a huge wooden door on their left, with torches on both sides of the door. Honor Blade stopped and stared at the door for a couple of minutes, Twilight tilted her head, not knowing why Blade was acting so depressed. Honor Blade finally pushed open the doors and went inside, Twilight followed only to be surrounded by total darkness, as she stepped into the room she felt as if she was standing on ice, Honor Blade pushed a button near the entrance of the door and the room started to light up, Twilight closed her eyes and lifted her left hoof up to her face from the sudden burst of light, "wha... what is this," Twilight asked trying to open her eyes but only to have them half way opened.

Honor Blade lowered his head, "This is a chamber were we keep... weapons," Twilight's hears twitched as she heard the word weapons.

"Weapons?" Twilight's eyes began to adjust to the light, Twilight looked around, the walls and the ground were made out of metal, she also saw long and tall shelf's that carried a large variety of guns, explosives, and swords, "but why would Equestria need such things?! Surely no pony could have thought something like this would have ever happened," Twilight stated as she trotted back a bit, her eyes moving around looking at everything in front of her.

Honor Blade started trotting towards Twilight, "That's true, no pony would have expected something like this not even the princesses," Honor Blade shook his head, "But the princesses weren't the one's who made them, they didn't even existed at the time this things were created".

"But then who made them?" Twilight asked

"These weapons were made eons ago by creatures far different then any thing that lives today," Honor Blade moved closer to a USP pistol with a flash light attached set on one of the shelf's, "only a few books talk about these creatures known as humans," Honor Blade sighed, "humans used to live with all of us ponies, manticores, griffons, and dragons".

Twilight trotted closer to Blade, "Humans were real?" Twilight stopped and thought to herself, "I guess I owe a certain unicorn an apology" and "what happened to them?" Twilight asked as she tilted her head to the left.

"They wanted more land, more power, more everything, and instead of talking it out they just waged war against everything in their way, and even though most creatures had magic, superior strength, and even both; the human's spirit, and courage proofed enough of a challenge, however during this war the humans started to turn on each other, fighting over which color was superior enough to rule their new kingdom, and soon enough the humans started pointing their own weapons against each other, and because of that they lost the war," Honor Blade closed his eyes, "Not taking any chances the rulers of each nation, accept the humans of course, decided to exterminate the human species and succeeded," Honor Blade opened his eyes and looked back at Twilight.

"Then why keep these weapons, and how do you know all of this?" Twilight asked

"This information was passed on to the new rulers, and they passed it on to the next, and so on and so forth, the only reason I know this is because Celestia entrusted some of us royal guards to use this information, in all honesty though I don't really understand how a story like that would have anything to do with us guard," Honor Blade rubs the back of his neck with his right hoof, "the moral seems as clear as day, get to greedy and you end up taking yourself and everyone else down with you, but that sounds more for a ruler to take to heart, and as to why we still have the weapons well, that's beyond me, even Celestia doesn't understand, all she could do is draw a hypothesis that the original rulers had a plan for them".

"Okay but how can they still be in good condition, weren't they around for eons?"

"Not sure maybe the original rulers put a spell on them," Honor Blade responded

"Well I don't see how they can be any use to us since the model of these weapons won't work so well with hooves" Twilight pointed out.

"That would be a problem," Honor Blade said as he rubbed his chin with his right hoof, "hmmm, ah that's right! some scientist remodeled a few so even an earth pony could use it," Honor Blade trotted towards the right wall and started going deeper into the room, Twilight slowly followed and saw Blade opening a cabinet.

"What are you looking for?" Twilight asked, Blade pulled out a black case and set it on top of the cabinet and began to open it, Twilight got closer to see what was in the case, as Blade opened the case four silver horseshoes are seen, "What really horseshoes?"

"Yeah I know, but trust me there useful," Honor Blade grabbed one with his levitation spell and dropped it on the ground near Twilight's front hoofs, "here put this one on"

"umm okay but which hoof?" asked Twilight

"It doesn't matter" Honor Blade answered, Twilight shrugged and placed her right hoof on it, the horseshoe attached its self to Twilight's hoof.

Shocked Twilight tried to shake it off, "HEY! What's it doing! Get it off!" Twilight screamed

"Whoa! Whoa! Twilight calm down its okay," Honor Blade placed his hooves on Twilight to get her to calm down, "It's fine that's just what it was programmed to do!"

"Wa-what?"

"Yeah it attaches it's self to the first pony it has contact with," Honor Blade explained as he pulled his hoofs off

"But how?" Twilight hold her hoof with the strange silver horseshoe to her face and inspected it, "is Equestria really this advanced in technology?"

"Well... no it actually came from another nation," Honor Blade replied

"From another nation? wait you mean other nations have these kinds of weapons too?!" Twilight asked

"Well yeah it's not like all of the weapons were given to Equestria, they were seperated with each ruler, and before you ask these were made recently, but the difference between these and actual guns is that the remodeled versions actually fire a blast of magic, not bullets," Honor Blade explained

"How does it do that?"

"In the instructions we got with them, it said that it was powered by something called the 'Mana Stone' not exactly sure what that is, another thing is that after a while its going to need some time to recharge," Honor Blade closed the case, chanted a spell and the case disappears in a green light.

"Okay then, how do I use it?"

"hmm if I remember correctly you just have to aim it and say fire, you can also set it in other modes, like shotgun, sub-machine gun, and even bazooka, although depending which mode it's on it would probably take a lot of magic," Honor Blade explained

"Alright, but I still have one more question, why isn't any of this in any history book, you know about the war, and the humans extinction, none of this is in any history books I've ever read and I've read nearly every history book about Equestria," Twilight asked

"Not really sure, I am guessing everypony forgot about them because of years of peace, but why this isn't mentioned in any history book is beyond me," Honor Blade shook his head, "now if that's all, I think we should get going," Honor Blade trotted back to the entrance with Twilight close behind, and picked up the USP, Twilight looked at Blade with concern, Honor Blade shook his head and said, "don't worry I won't use this on anypony, I am just going to take it with me just in case we find our self's in a tough situation," Honor Blade also got a settle bag to carry the USP.

"But what about all these other stuff? Not that I'am encouraging you but just wondering," Twilight stated

"No they'll just hold us back, it'll be better if we travel light," Honor Blade responded, Twilight nodded her head and headed out the door, as Honor Blade left he turned off the lights.

"So I am guessing this is what you and 'Wesker' were guarding," Twilight said

Honor Blade smiled and chuckled a little, "You nailed it," but that same smile soon disappeared when they heard a loud crash from up stairs.

"They aren't going to find this place, are they?" Twilight asked

"No, after a couple of minutes the wall reappears and you'll have to do the same process all over again," Honor Blade answered, "any way lets keep going," Twilight nodded her head and they both galloped down the hall.

After a while the floor, walls, and ceiling, began to turn in to a cave tunnel and every thing got more and more darker. Twilight looked to her sides wondering how much more longer it's going to take to make it to the end, until she tripped on a rock, as Twilight hit the ground she sent out a loud groan, Honor Blade stopped and looked back, "Twilight!?" Honor Blade galloped back and helped the purple alicorn back up, "you okay?" Honor Blade asked

"Yeah its just hard to see where I am going," Twilight responded

"Yeah all right here let me try a illumination spell," Honor Blade gathered his magic and a green light flashed and everything from ten feet was covered in light. Honor Blade's horn stayed lite, "better?"

"Much, thanks," said Twilight, Honor Blade nodded and they continued to gallop, "My, my, my what have we here?" "Oh great you again, what do you want now?"Twilight thought to the voice in her head, "Oh nothing really just enjoying that little scene" "What are you talking about?" "Oh come now your starting to like this stallion aren't you," "WHAT! wa-what makes you think that?" "Oh nothing really I am just your subconsciousness, I am part of your brain I can detect emotions you still haven't acknowledged yet," Twilight closed her eyes and scrounge "Shut up! I don't feel anything like that towards him, were just ... very good acquaintances, and I doubt you can see my future," "True, true I guess were just going to have to let things play out," "I hate having a voice in my head," "I heard that," "You were supposed to," Twilight shook her head and continued galloping.

As Twilight and Honor Blade finally make there way out of the cave a very strong odor lingered in the air, "Augh! What is that horrible smell?!" Twilight said as she covered her muzzle with her right hoof, Honor Blade did the same thing.

"I don't know, but this stench is enough to make me vomit" Honor Blade stated as he tries to keep his lunch down, "the longer we stay here the more I want to cut off my muzzle, lets get out of here".

"Right," Twilight agreed, while galloping threw Canterlot the stink became more and more stronger, "Seriously! what is that horrible smell?!" Twilight cried out as she stopped

Honor Blade stopped as well and once again placed his right hoof over his muzzle, looking around for the source of the smell, Honor Blade notice some smoke coming from behind a few buildings, "hey 'Twilight' how do you suppose a fire could start in this town?" Honor Blade asked

"Can't say that I know, why?" Twilight responded

"Look over there," Honor Blade pointed his left hoof to the smoke, Twilight looked at the smoke and hers eyes opened wide

"What's going on over there?" Twilight asked

"Heck if I know," Honor Blade responded

"Lets go check it out," Twilight looked at Blade, he nodded and they both galloped towards the smoke. Twilight and Honor Blade galloped threw an ally, and as they got closer the smell got worse, they started trotting slowly, trying hard not to make to much noise, as they got closer to the corner of the building they looked around and saw some of the locals around a fire. Twilight smiled, finally seeing some normal ponies, as she began to trot closer Honor Blade pulled his hoof in front of her, Twilight stopped and looked at Blade, he closed his eyes and shook his head, confused Twilight blinked and returned her eyes to the locals, and what she saw made her mouth drop, her eyes shrink ten times the size they used to be, and trotted back a bit, Honor Blade opened his eyes and kept his eyes on them as two other locals carried a unconscious pony by his hoofs and tossed him in the fire, it didn't took long for the pony to react and cried in pain, the local ponies all laughed or at least it sounded like laughing it was hard to tell because it sounded like they were groaning as well, the pony set on fire tried to get out but the locals surrounding him kept pushing him back in, some of them got their manes on fire but they seem to not notice it at all, "What are they doing?!" Twilight asked in horror.

"I don't know, but I think it'll be best if we get out of here before they spot us," Honor Blade replied as he began to turn back

"But... what about him," Twilight asked

"Unfortunately I don't think there's much we can do, were out numbered, and even if we do save him he's not going to live long," Honor Blade shut his eyes tightly and tried to ignore the screams as he started to gallop way from the fire, Twilight also shut her eyes tightly, tears started running down her face as she turned and started following Blade. Twilight and Honor Blade made it all the way to the train station, since that horrifying site neither one of them have spoken, "Well," Honor Blade said trying to break the silence, "Let's get this train started," he continued

Twilight looked at Blade, she wanted to say something about what happened but decided to say something else, "Right but where are we going, don't get me wrong, I rather be any where else then here, but..." Twilight looked down thinking about ponyville and her friends, Twilight lowered her head and closed her eyes, hoping that they haven't turned into one of those monsters.

Honor Blade looked at Twilight and asked, "Is there some place where you want to go?" Twilight nodded her head, Honor Blade closed his eyes half way and smiled a bit, and got closer to the purple alicorn and placed his left hoof on her head, "If you want to go check on your friends then I am fine with that," Twilight looked up at Honor Blade, seeing his smile made her cheer up a bit, Honor Blade removed his hoof when Twilight hold her head up again, "good then lets get this train started".

"Alright," Twilight said, Honor Blade and Twilight gallop towards the engine, as they entered the room Twilight stated, "Looks like there's enough coal for a ride to ponyville," Honor Blade walked back outside, Twilight looked back at him, "Hey where are you going?" Twilight asked.

Honor Blade detached the engine from the rest of the carts, after that Honor Blade went back to Twilight, "Just in case there's more of those monsters in the other carts," the blue unicorn explained, Twilight nodded, glad that Blade thought this threw since it would be rather difficult to fight back against those monsters in a tight space, Honor Blade started the train and soon enough the train began to move.

"How do you know how to start a train?" Twilight asked a few minutes after they left Canterlot

"My mom was an engineer, when I was a colt she would let me ride with her in the engine, she took me all over Equestria," Honor Blade closed his eyes and smiled, memories of everyone he ever met came to him, Eeni Meinie, a foal he met in Coltimor, Striker the Griffon made a big impression on him in Fillydelphia, and Las Pegasus he made an unusual friend named Ricky Rat a stallion who tried to sell him his own toy, that he claimed to have 'found'.

Twilight sat next to Honor Blade and stared at him as he chuckled a bit and remembered something from the conversation she had with the voice in her head, "...were just ... very good acquaintances..." Twilight sighed, "Even though he's risking his life to keep me safe, I don't know anything about him, or how to repay him for saving my life," Twilight thought to herself, and then Twilight notice something about Honor Blade that she missed, "his cutie mark" Twilight whispered, it was a sword with a silver blade, a golden guard, with a light brown grip, and attached to the end of the grip is a long red ribbon that drifts along with an invisible wind, "So if your mom is an engineer what made you decide to be a guard?" Twilight asked looking back up.

"hmm?" Honor Blade blinked twice, "Oh sorry I guess I was daydreaming hehe," Honor Blade said as he turned to face Twilight, "well my father was actually a royal guard when he was younger, but when he married my mom and had me he didn't wanted us to worry so he quit, honestly though I thought it was cool to have a father who protects the one who watches over everypony, but what really made me decide to become a royal guard was when I was with my mom during her work, we were transporting some ponies to Canterlot, while the train was going up the mountain, all of a sudden the train started falling off the tracks, my mom tried her best to get them back on the tracks but had no success, as the train began to fall off the mountain, I thought we were going to die, but then the train stopped in mid air, and as it turns out it was Princess Celestia who saved us, she stopped the entire train with her levitation spell from smashing in to the ground, from then I wanted to pay my debt to her for saving me and my mom, that's when I decided I wanted to be a royal guard, when I told my dad about being a royal guard he smiled and trained me, mom was a bit hesitated at first but when she saw how I was doing during training she let me continued, she never told me why she was okay with it, she just said, 'Do what you think is right, and everything will turn out okay,' so I continued to train until I finally became a royal guard, and as if the day couldn't get any better I got my cutie mark on the day I became a royal guard."

"The train that mysteriously fell off the tracks and off the mountain, I remembered that being in the newspaper when I was a foal," Twilight said while she rubbed her left hoof on her chin.

"You read the newspaper as a foal?" Honor Blade asked

"Well no, my father has a habit of reading stuff out loud when he's surprised," Twilight chuckled a bit remembering that day, "that day also made an impression on me too, after hearing how heroic Celestia was I studied even more then ever before to try to get into her school," Twilight said with her eyes closed and a smile on her face.

Honor blade smiled and looked back at the rail road and saw a town up ahead, "I think I can see a town over the horizon!" Honor Blade exclaimed, Twilight opened her eyes and stood up, she looked threw the window and saw ponyville, she didn't see any smoke in sky which gave her hope.

As the train came to a complete stop the two jumped out, but Twilight noticed something she felt before, the same sensation she felt when she first arrived in Canterlot just yesterday, nothing but silence, Honor Blade noticed the eerie silence and looked at Twilight who seemed worried, "I don't understand? Why is it so quite here?" Twilight asked

"I don't know what's going on, but I think we should take a look around," Honor Blade replied, Twilight nodded and they began to galloped in to town, at first they didn't hear anything but their hoofs hitting the ground as they trotted, but then they heard a faint sound, they both stopped to focus their hearing on that faint noise, "I... I think somepony is crying?" Honor Blade stated.

"Yeah, and I think it's coming from..." Twilight looked around and focused on the sound until her eyes passed a building, " well I'am not sure but I think its coming from Sugar Cube Corner," Twilight said, Honor blade nodded and they both began galloping toward's the roof frosted building.

As Twilight and Honor Blade got closer, the sobbing began to sound more like a pony crying uncontrollably, something about it reminded Twilight of a time somepony cried like that, but this time it was for the opposite reason, Twilight and Honor Blade opened the doors and were shocked by the display of blood on the walls, floor, and even the ceiling, and the crying sounded like it settled to a sobbing being muffled, Twilight trotted more into the building, "T...T... Twilight?" a voice was heard behind the counter in front of them, Twilight looked at the side and saw half a face of a pony

"Pa... Pinkie Pie?!" Twilight said narrowing her eyes to the pink pony.

"TWILIGHT!!" Pinkie Pie yelled as she galloped towards her alicorn friend, she jumped at her forcing her to the ground

"GAAH! PINKIE!" Twilight shouted as she hit the floor, Pinkie grabed on to Twilight very tightly and began to cry again, "Pinkie?" Twilight said now confused.

"Twilight!" Pinkie Pie said as she lifted her head to look at Twilight's eyes, "Fluuu... FLUTTERSHYS' DEAD!"

Yeah sorry this one took longer, and no it isn't because this chapter was longer then the past two, I just get distracted by other things and my lazyness, and I can't make much of promise but I'll work more on my stoies from now on
