Ace Kombat: Rise Of A Nation. (Continued by Warbirds.)

     Just in case you skipped the description read the stories: Ace Kombat: Rise Of A Nation, Gutterloo, and The Order.

     Scootaloo was riding her scooter to her possibly new friend Rumble’s house.  During the trip she kept wondering what he could have been trying to make.  ‘Maybe it’s some kind of toy.’  Scootaloo thought before she came to a halt when she reached Rumble’s home.  For some reason Thunderlane and Rumble decided to live on the ground rather in the air.  Scootaloo thought it was strange but at least she wouldn’t have to wait in a field.

Scootaloo went to the front door and nocked on it a few times and then the door opened to reveal a dark stallion with a white and cyan color mane.  He looked around till he saw Scootaloo below him.  Scootaloo was a little afraid of what he would do, she lost her best friends because of their sisters and she might lose Rumble because of his brother.  But those thoughts went away when Thunderlane held out a hoof and greeted her.

“Why hello, what’s your name?”

“Umm.”

“Well nice to meet you Umm.”  Thunderlane joked.  “Mine’s Thunderlane.”

“What?  No, my name is Scootaloo.”

“Alright Scootaloo, Rumble told me that one of his friends were coming by.”  Thunderlane said.  “Is that right girls?”

“Oh so true Thunder.”

Then two light purple mare pegasi trotted to the door, each stopped beside Thunderlane and introduced them selves.

“My name is Flitter.”

“Mine’s Cloudchaser.”

“We’re twins.”  They said in unison.

Scootaloo was both thankful and confused at the same time.  She was glad that despite her reputation lately that Thunderlane would allow her in his home.  But she didn’t get why there are two mares in Thunderlane’s house; she thought only Rumble and his brother lived here.  Thunderlane and his two mares went back inside the house.

Thunderlane turned his head to Scootaloo and asked.  “Well, what are you waiting for?”  He then pointed his hoof up stairs.  “Rumble’s room is up stairs in the first door on your left.”  Scootaloo nodded and trotted up stairs till Thunderlane spoke again.  “Oh and what ever you do.  Do not come down here till Rumble said so.”

Scootaloo nodded again and wonder why he wouldn’t let her go down stairs.  She got to Rumble’s door and nocked on it till Rumble opened door and said.

“Oh hey Scoots, glad your finally here.”

Scootaloo smiled and said.  “Of course I would be here, I’m your friend.”  Scootaloo then entered in his room but then her ears drop and her smile gone.   “We are friends right?”

“Well da, why wouldn’t I have invited a pretty filly like you in my house.”  Rumble said.

Scootaloo blushed when he called her pretty and thought.  ‘No pony ever called me that before.’  When she was homeless no pony ever complimented about her looks because she was always dirty.

Rumble, seeing Scoots blush realized what he just said and screamed in his head.  ‘Why the buck did I just say that!’  He was about to apologize for what he said but Scootaloo spoke first trying to go to another topic.

“So… what is your invention?”

Rumble that also didn’t want to make things more awkward as it is already, answered Scoots question.  “Oh ah right over here.”  Rumble escorted Scoots to a table with blue prints until Scoots heard a pounding noise down stairs and asked.

“What the hay is all of that noise?”

Rumble sighed and answered.  “That’s my brother and his two mares.”  Rumble saw that Scootaloo still didn’t understand, so he gave a hint to her.  “He’s down stairs alone with two mares that REALLY like him.”  Scootaloo thought for a second, and realize that his brother is doing it with his marefriends.  Scoots cheeks turned crimson red learning that that stallion she just met is a hound dog.  “Yep, and they do it everyday and night.”

Scootaloo desperately wanted the topic gone, she quickly spoke.

“Ummm weren’t you going to… show me your project?”

“Oh yeah, let me show you.”  Rumble responded.

Rumble brought her to his desk and showed her some of his blueprints.  She looked at them and saw that his project looks like a heavily armored Pegasus pony and she finally asked.

“What is it?”

Rumble smiled and answered.  “It’s a kind of exo-suit a Pegasus can wear that can make him or her fly much faster then normal.”

“Well probably not as fast as Rainbow Dash.”  Scootaloo said defending her idol's reputation.

“Well only if Rainbow is in a suit like this, but without it, even she wouldn’t be fast enough.”

“How?”  Scootaloo asked with a raised eyebrow.

Rumble then picked a blueprint up from his desk, and held it up to Scoots and asked.  “You see this tube thing here.”  Scootaloo nodded.  “Well it’s actually a new type of engine that could make any pegasi to move fast.  Depends on how powerful that pegasi is.”  Scoots looked interested but saw Rumble sigh.  “But that’s the problem.  When going fast at this speed it would kill them because of all of the G-force.”  Rumble then pointed to the entire body of the suit.  “And this is why I decided to cover the entire body of a Pegasus for he or she wouldn’t get affected by the G-forces.”

“Wow that’s really cool Rumble!”  Scootaloo complimented Rumble, even though that only the ‘flying really fast’ got her interested.  She then looked out of Rumble’s window and saw that it was getting dark.  “Well I better get going.”  Scootaloo trotted to the door and was about to open it till Rumble stop her.  That’s when Scoots remembered what is happening down stairs.  “I’ll just climb down from your window.”

“Alright Scoots, see you tomorrow.”  Rumble said seeing Scoots climbing down.

“I will.”

She got to the ground and went to the front door to get her scooter.  As she grabbed her scooter she could hear some moans inside, Scoots immediately hopped on her scooter and Scooted away before she heard something else that would haunt her.

As she scooted away, Scootaloo had a smile on her face and quietly said to her self.

“Things are finally looking up for me.”
