chapter 1View OnlineNever Going Backchapter 1"RAINBOW DASH! Wake up u good for nothing filly" Firefly yelled at her young daughter. Rainbow got up with a groan. she HATED her parents. Rainbow dash is the daughter of Firefly and Storm Cloud, who are VERY abusive. They had been like this ever since Rainbow's older brother disappeared. Luckily, Rainbow would be at flight camp all summer, so she could work on a way to never have to see them again. Rainbow grabbed her saddle bags and left. She didn't bother eating breakfast. She wanted out of that house as soon as possible. Summer Flight Camp, 20 minutes later Arriving at the camp, Rainbow joined her class.She noticed that no pony in her class had a cutie mark, yet. Rainbow would have assumed she was in the class of the, younger, pegasi, if it weren't for 1 pony. She had a long, curly, pink mane, a yellow coat, and looked to be a year older than Rainbow. Just like everypony else, she didn't have a cutie mark. Rainbow was soon acquainted with everypony, including the older filly, who's name is Fluttershy. After meeting the instructors, the fillies were shown to one room and the colts another. Once inside her room for the summer, Rainbow went ahead and chose the bed farthest away from everypony else. Fluttershy found this strange, and despite her shy nature, trotted over to see what was going on. "Rainbow Dash, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked quietly "I'm fine Fluttershy.".Rainbow answered. "I don't think so. Please tell me whats wrong." Fluttershy begged. "I-I don't want to talk about it." Rainbow sighed. "Please! I'll help you with whatever's bothering you!" Fluttershy pleaded. "Are you sure you want to know?" "I'm sure" "Its my parents. Don't get me Wrong, i love it here, but i don't want to go home." "Why not?" "My parents are really abusive. They've been like that since my older brother disappeared last year." Fluttershy gasped."my parents run a foster home. When the weekend comes you can come home with me and we can get your parents arrested and you can live with me!" Fluttershy exclaimed. "That would be great Fluttershy!We should get going.Class is starting soon." Rainbow replied happily. 3 hours later As the girls were walking to the cafeteria to get some lunch, Rainbow bumped into somepony. " Sorry!" Rainbow apologized looking at the pony she just hit. "Its fine." The young colt reassured "I'm Soarin' who are you?" he greeted. "Names Rainbow Dash. It was nice meeting you Soarin', but I've gotta go." Rainbow answered before walking away. 5 days later Over the next 5 days, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Soarin' became best friends.they would hang out every day after class.Soon enough, it was the weekend. on Saturdays and Sundays the fillies and colts would go home to spend time with there families. "Hey Rainbow, you ready to go?" Fluttershy asked. "Yeah. Lets get going." Rainbow responded. Rainbow and Fluttershy walked outside and headed towards Fluttershy's house. "Mom, dad, i'm home." Fluttershy yelled quietly. "Hey Fluttershy!" Sunrise exclaimed."who's this?" She asked."This is Rainbow Dash. She's in my class at camp and her parents are really abusive. I was thinking she could move in with us." Fluttershy explained. This is when Fluttershy's dad, Dream cloud , came into the room. "I think that's a great idea. You can go ahead and show her to her room. Your mom and I will call the police." Dream cloud stated.
chapter 2View OnlineNever Going Backchapter 2"I'm so happy for you Rainbow!"Fluttershy exclaimed as she trotted up the stairs and down the hall with her friend. " Thanks Fluttershy." Rainbow smiled gratefully. "Oh its nothing. I'd do anything for a friend." Fluttershy claimed humbly. 2 days later On Monday, Fluttershy and Rainbow flew back to camp together. it had been a great weekend for the 2 of them. Rainbow's parents were arrested and sentenced to life in jail with a chance of parole after 20 years if they behaved. Abuse is a big deal in Equestria. On the way back to the camp, they ran into Soarin. "Hey Soar'" Rainbow exclaimed using the nickname she had given her friend. "Hey Dash" Soarin replied. The 3 ponies flew back to the camp together and talked along the way. After arriving at camp, the 3 parted ways, Soarin' going to 1 class, Rainbow and Fluttershy to another. 1 month later The first month of flight camp was, well, boring. Rainbow had made a few friends, and was picked on a little, but that was about it. The only exciting thing that happened was when Soarin' got his cutie mark. He had just pulled off and amazing trick, when, suddenly, his cutie mark appeared. Rainbow and Soarin' were hanging out alot more and someponies began to make fun of them for it. It was always Rainbow has a colt friend or Soarin' has a filly friend. They ignored it but what Rainbow could never admit was that she really did love Soarin'. 1 week later A week later, Rainbow saw a couple of colts picking on Fluttershy after she had failed to fly through the cloud rings in the obstacle course.She flew down and landed in between Fluttershy and the colts. "Leave her alone!" Rainbow demanded "OOO what are ya gonna do Rainbow Crash?" "Keep making fun of her and find out!" "You think your such a big shot huh? Why don't you prove it?" "What do you have in mind?" a few minutes later "Your going down!" "In history maybe! See you boys at the finish line!" Seconds later Fluttershy waved the flag, and the race began. After the first turn, one of the colts crashed into a podium. Rainbow was in the lead. She had never flown so fast before. She liked it. Suddenly, the other colt came up behind her and bumped her over, taking the lead. "HEY!" Rainbow exclaimed. Rainbow began flying even faster, retaking the lead. Soon enough, a moch-cone formed around Rainbow. As Rainbow began to fly faster, she broke the sound barrier, performing a Sonic Rainboom. Flying back up to the finish line, Rainbow Dash left a Rainbow behind her. She shot across the finish line and formed a complete rainbow before landing. As she landed, her cutie mark appeared on her flank. Not only had Rainbow won the race, but she had also earned her cutie mark. Upon landing, Everypony began to cheer. In the mixture, Rainbow heard somepony ask "Wait a second, where's Fluttershy?" The cheering stopped and everypony looked over the edge of the cloud. "Oh no." Rainbow and Soarin' whispered as they heard they're friend calling for help from below.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!View OnlineNever Going BackIMPORTANT PLEASE READ!I've been thinking of going back through this story and changing it to be either anthro or human, for it would be easier to write. I think that it might help the writers block I've been happening, especially since I have accounts on other sights(under different names of course :) ) and I haven't been having any trouble writing my other stories at all, and they are all either anthro or human stories. SO what do you all think about that? oh and one thing i wanted to clarify, if it seems like rainbow's dad's name doesn't fit then sorry but I studied genes and that stuff when I was in the 7th grade and you don't have to have a certain physical trait for your kid(s) to have it. There are dominate and recessive traits (blue/green eyes and blonde hair are recessive and brown eyes and brown/black hair are dominate), and because it seems to be very rare for a pony to have the whole spectrum in their mane(fancy talk for having a rainbow mane ^.^), it would be recessive when you really think about it. Sorry about any confusion. Anyways, please comment what you think about me changing this story to either anthro or human. Love you! <3 Bye! Edit: Oh and also, even bigger reason why i haven't been updating....a few weeks after I published chapter 3 I found out I was gonna be a mom....I wasn't too happy at first(wont explain why for any innocent people/kids who just happen to be reading this. Chapter 3View OnlineNever Going BackChapter 3Rainbow immediately took off and flew down towards the ground. She soon saw her friend. "Fluttershy! Are you okay?" rainbow asked as she approached her friend. "oh i'm fine Rainbow. I just need help getting back up to camp. you know i'm a weak flyer." Fluttershy smiled. " Well lets go!" Rainbow exclaimed grabbing Fluttershy's hoof and helping her back up to the flight camp. After the 2 pegasi had landed the cheering began again. Ignoring it this time, Rainbow and Fluttershy trotted towards the cafeteria to get some lunch. They were soon joined by Soarin', which wasn't a big surprise for them. 30 minutes later After lunch, the 3 said they're goodbyes and headed home for the weekend. On the way, Rainbow noticed that Fluttershy had also gotten her cutie mark, but decided not to ask about it. " So, um, you're special talent is the sonic rainboom isn't it?"Fluttershy asked. "Yeah. Whats yours?" Rainbow answered. "I can communicate with animals. I would have never gotten my cutie mark if you hadn't done that Sonic Rainboom." Fluttershy explained. "Well, um, that's, nice." Rainbow lied. Once the two got home, the went up to Rainbows room for no reason in particular. "So Rainbow, I've been wondering, does what everypony says about you and Soarin' mean anything to you?" "Why do you want to know?" Rainbow asked as she started to panic. Luckily, Fluttershy was oblivious to it. "Just wondering. You can tell me if you do. i wont tell anypony, griffin, animal, well you get the point." Fluttershy explained. Knowing her friend was being serious, Rainbow decided it wouldn't hurt to tell Fluttershy about her crush. "Alright. i'll tell you.It does mean something to me. I don't have any idea how Soarin' feels, but I actually do love him." Rainbow sighed and turned away from Fluttershy. "That's great rainbow. I'll see what i can find out about how Soarin' feels if that's alright with you." Fluttershy whispered. "You don't need to do that. I'll handle it." Soarin's P.O.V. I'm so confused. Why do I feel weird whenever I hang out with Dash? Sure she's Awesome, incredibly unique........ beautiful. Wait what am I thinking. No, I cant be in love with her, can I? 20 minutes later Okay, it's official. i love Rainbow Dash. I have to tell her, but what if she doesn't feel the same way? what if she thinks i'm weird? What do i do?
