It was late at night at the mann.co fort dubbed double cross
One was a direct hit, the other rolled to the far end of the room and exploded harmlessly against the far wall.
Both rockets missed, the soly scolded himself for not taking time to aim in the panic as a sticky bomb landed at his feet with a thud.
Blu Soldier banged open the door to his room, “MAGGOTS!” He yelled to,..well,..no one
He won a new weapon and lost a best friend...soldier walked over to a o.d green wooden box marked “Mann.co armaments”. He opened it and took out his spoils of war.
Solder scolded at the boots and yelled “BOOTS!?? I KILL MY BEST FRIEND FOR BOOTS!!?? What kind of sane person would rather have a pair of boots than a shotgun in the middle of a battle!?”
He then chucked them out of the window, his room at Double Cross was high up overlooking a cliff he watched the boots fall against the rocky walls and disappear in the darkness below.
Soly crossed his arms and leaned on the windowsill and sat there with tears slowly flowing from under the rim of his bright blue helmet.
Then during the middle of night he heard something bump against crate that double as a night stand.
Soldier’s war sown instincts drove him to shoot up out of bed he pulled his shotgun out from under his pillow and fired, he waited to hear a body hit the floor but no sound came, instead a faint purple light formed where he aimed his shotgun. Soldier slowly reach over to a lamp near his bed turned it on and found the source of the light.
“Mmph!” the pony cleared its throat, "My name it Twilight Sparkle and..its my understanding you have a friendship problem."

spelling and grammer are gonna be terribble. im mainly aiming for a good story here as long as a advrage hs freshman can read it.

two horrible friends go on a vacation
The blu soldier could only stare with this mouth agap, he was so distracted he didnt notice the unicorns reactivate its magic and gently pull his shotgun from his hands and lean it agaist the wall.
"Hello?..anypony home in there?'the unicorn said.
Soldier snapped from his stupor and pointed at the pony. "H..h..how?" soldier studdered.
"aug! I was hoping you would cooperate that way we would get started on the right hoof" the unicorn said
the soldier knew that didnt mean he was going to like what ever happened next so he put up his fists and prepared to fight the unicorn. The unicorn was a bit shocked and activated her horn. Magic encased the soldier as he struggeled against the power that was suspending him into the air. "Celestia warned me about how quick to violence you creatures are, and not to be afraid to use my magic to subdue you" the unicorn said in a nagging tone and started walking the magic orb outside.
The soldier rolled and tumbled through the air spouting insults and curses at the unicorn "No wonder Celestia sensed how much you need freindship around here, you are the most hate filled thing i've met!" the unicorn said with a bit of disgust.
The soldier and the unicorn came to a shed located outside the fort, the unicorn with Soldier in tow sat down, and waited. then suddenly the loudest collection of comotion to ever hit the blu man's ear (which is saying alot for this man has seen war.) erupted through the door of the red base just a few yards on the opposite side of the shed. giggling and shouting in many diffrend speech patterns assulted the midnight calm.
"stant still! you brute!" "hehehehe!..this is FUN!", "HOLD 'IM DOWN GIRLS, don't let this varmit git away!", "oooh! please don't be mad mr. human where just goning to take you on a trip you'll love it", "hold it buddy were not gonna hurt ya!"
HHEEEELP!! WEE LITTLE PONY LASS'ES ARE TRYING TO MAKE OFF WITH ME!!! shouted
the Red Demoman was struggleing against and onslaught of technicolor that covered his body, pink had covered his head, a orange covered his back, a light blu light held his elbows and knees forcing him to move forward, a marshmellow white trodded beside him and a butter yellow mixed with a cyan blue held his shoulders to make shure he didnt fall forward.
The group eventully got to the shed and look at what eachother brought. "Twilight darling, i know you did warn me about how theses..things would react to going to equestria and not to be afraid to use my magic to encouage them, what im trying to say twilight is i apologize about my method lacking..finess?" the little white pony said to the Soldiers captor."perfectly alright Rarity, Celestia and I froze time in this world except for these two so their co workers didn't hear a thing." the purple unicorn replied.
"Well then" the white unicorn said trodding up to the shed and opening the door, opening it revealing a brightly rainbow colored portal..."shall we?" she said in a manner reminding the soldier of
The magical bonds on the demoman's limbs became ropes and he fell to the ground like a log, he landed on the backs of a pink pony and a orange pony wearing a stetson, then as a group everyone climbed through the portal unto a world unkown to the red and blu man.

The flash was the last thing either mercinary remembered. soldier was the first to come to as he awoke on what appeared to be a stage. Getting up he noticed a very large white horse that possesed both a horn and a set of wings. A collected gasp from the crowd before him signaled the alicorn to turn around.
"do not fear my little ponies! this is a human ,yes they are a dangerous and violence loving race
"Damn it! did scout cause this?! the last time he sneaked some bonk! into my daily chow i had a weired dream about a pet shop full of talking animals!! next time i see him ill strangle him with his hippie haircut!!! Solder roared with rage.
The crowed was taked back by such violent imagery and looked to their monarch for comfort.
"I assure you what you are experiencing is very real." the alicorn said now adressing Soldier directly, then noticing the demoman getting to his feet. "You two where brought here to be studied" the alicorn said to both parties.
"soly i dont like you or what you did ta me but i dont like these ponys are starting ta tick me off even more
"for the first time in a long time you have said somthing in that drunkan drawl i like demo, lets get
The crowd watched in horror as shotgun pellets and explosions riddled their beloved princess.
When the smoke cleared and both parties took time to reload, ready to tear through the crowd below
OCH!! Demoman uddered, his one eye wide in disbelief.
Nnooooooo!!!! Solder said, mouth agape under his helmit.
to the side six ponies that captured the mercs sat, watching the scene fold out. "how!?" the purple one yelled "i took away there weapons like Celestia instructed me to!" "twilight!" the alicorn boomed with rage."its not your fault they attacked me, their weapons are encanted with magic from their world, it is impossible to remove their weapons from their persons for very long, so i encanted them so they can do no harm to any living breathing creature"
both Demoman and Soldier sought to test this theroy, Demo fired a sticky into the crowd, ponies scattered to get away from the stange object, the Demoman dedonated it and all the surronding ponies felt was the rush of wind on their coats. the ground was burned and kicked up from the explosion but the ponies remained unharmed.
then the solder took aim at the nearest pony and fired his shotgun into it's face, the poor pony just froze with fear as the pellets bounce off its cheeks and even it's wide open fearful eyes as if the pony was made of solid steel.
"Oy it looks like where licked then" Demo said defeated
"yeah looks that way then, do your worst ponies you can throw me into your worst prison!! i'll never talk!" soldier said waiting for the armed gaurds to take him away.
"what!?" said the alicorn "where not going to throw you in prison! as long as you obey the laws of ponyville that is, now if your quite finished we can get started! the alicorn said happily.
"what started?" asked Soldier.
"yourwelcometoponyvilleparty!!!!" a energetic pinke pony yelled flashed inches from Soldiers face
"what makes you say that?" the annoyed Soldier said
"cuz youre a baker just like meee!!!" replied the pink pony.
"what!? i don't bake!" Soldier yelled.
"of course you do silly!! why else would you keep a mixing bowl on your head if not in case of a baking emergency!!??
Demoman roared with laughter at the crazy mares statment.
"ohmygosh you like to laugh tooo!!!" the pink pony said bouncing to Demomans side.
"where all gonna be the best of friends!!" the pinke mare exclamed.
then in that embrace both Demo and Soldier thought the same thing, that what one did to the other was unforgivable and nothing was going to change that. the two mercs exganged looks of hatred with one another. the fact and frustration that they where trapped in a bright new world without firepower fueling their hatred.

Throughout the party at the confectinary shop all the Red Demoman and Blu Soldier did was share glances while occasonaly having one of the many sweets provided by the owners of the shop dubbed Sugar Cube Courner.
"Well!..my name is Soldier and we'll keep it that way, that drunken maggot over there is named trever degutless!" the soldier said to the crowd of ponies, pointing his thumb at Demoman.
"Oi!!! its TRAVIS DEGROOT!!! but to keep it simple yall might as well call me Demo" the demoman said agitated at the rocket jumping nutcase.
"Well HI! my name is pinkie pie! with two p's and three I's!" pinkie pie said jumping around the mercs. the soldier looked at her with the same expression he donned when examinine a certain mute coworker.
"Howday mah names applejack!" the orange and blonde colored pony said in a southren drawl, reminding Demo of a college educated colleague of his.
"My names rainbow dash! hey! how fast can you "humans" run!? ive been looking for some compition, not that you guys have any hope." the cyan and rainbow colored one exclamed. the soldier gimaced at how close she sounded to a certain "funny man" he fought with back home both his and the enemys team.
"i belive we havent met before, my name is twilight sparkle" the two tone purple mare said to Demo. the demo avoided eye contact when he saw the same analizing stare in her eyes as used by a big game hunter he knew on this team.
"hello gentlecolts err..gentle humans i mean? my name is rarity and im charmed to meet you acquaintance." a white mare with a swirly mane said then looked the two with a gentle smile, seeing that smile made Soly feel and itch in his back.
Then the two mercenarys looked down at the last pony with confusion, she shivered her butter yellow body with fear while peeking from behind her bright pink mane at the two towering aliens with explosives strapped to their chests.
"Thats fluttershy" rainbow dash blurted "don't worry she'll warm up yo you..eventully"
Once the party had died down the two warriors had wondered where they where going to sleep for the night, they approached twilight with this proplem. "don't worry guys your going to stay at my library so i can keep you under surveillance, can you share a room?" the mercs looked at eachother "ma'm id rather spend another night back in nazi occupied france than with this skirt twirling drunk!" the demoman scoulded at opened his mouth to retaliate "well! that ok we can put you in separate rooms, i'll just have to move some books, just wait here for about an hour" twilight interupted.
As twilight went to prepare thier rooms the two decided to mingle a bit, they quickly found this impossible
"look girls! even the aliens have thier cutiemarks!" the redish brown filly said.
The filly rasied and eyebrow at him "you know the mark that tell everyone what youre good at! you each have one on your arms.
Both Demo and Soly looked down at their shoulders and saw what the children had been talking about, a patch on thier uniforms signaling their class, a rocket for the soldier and a sticky bomb for the demoman
"what are they even sapossta mean? asked the yellow filly with a pink bow done up in her red mane.
Rather than argue that they where just patches both decided to humor the young ones.
"maggots? ya mean like the little worms that live in the dirt?" the yellow filly asked
"the very same! aceppt these maggots are event smaller and more fithy and anyother you can come across!" the soldier yelled, mocking the action of firing a rocket launcher while yelling "MAGGOTS!" under his breath..
"so ya fight maggots?"
"yes indeed i do little missy"
"that sounds real easy!"
"like you wouldn't belive!"
"huh! the redish brown pegasus said "so what does yours mean demo?"
"well ya see lass" the demo began "I tipically just lay me skicky bombs somwhere and have a nice drink of me scumpy while i wait for somthing to come along"
"And what do you do when somthing comes along? asked the pegasus filly asked.
"Well then i dedonate the bombs to get rid of it" said the demoman attempting to leave out the more gory parts of his job.
"That also sounds real easy!" the filly said.
Both Soldier and Demoman looked at eachother and agreed with the children.
Then twilight came through the door and announced that their rooms had been prepared.
When the mercs left, the three fillies huddled togeather and wispered to eachother.
"Come on applebloom mabe the reason we haven't found our cutiemarks is cuz its somthing that dosen't happen in our world yet! it may sound weired getting our cutiemarks in fighting maggots but it worked for him!" the pegisis filly said.
"ya and what they do sounds easy enough, so what do we do scootaloo?" applebloom asked.
"tonight we sneak into their rooms and stea...borrow! their tools for thier jobs!" said scootaloo
"but woun"t they be angry?" applebloom asked.
"How angry can they get angry when no matter what their weapons will return to them? Plus remember the enchantment Celestia put on their weapons? They can't hurt us and thats all that matters, now go, the both of you, we'll meet in front of twilights library at the break of dawn so we can see what where doing. CMC Mercenarys GO!" all three filles bumped hooves as they all went to there respected homes to get some sleep.

1 yeah i know sweetie belle didn't say much i couldnt think of anything! besides shes by far the quietest cmc.
i swear this is is the last chapter until i get some feedback. i might be lying i have no life what so ever

The next day after the whole party fiasco the two mercs that slept in their seprate rooms both where to tired from yesterdays excitment and had to much on thier minds to notice the sound of thier doors opening, wispers of bickering and the sounds on one weapon from each merc sliding across the floor.
Scootaloo and Applebloom sat outside twilight's librairy,"well we got'em now where the hay is sweetiebelle?"
"What the hay is that?" applebloom asked reffering to the bowl in sweetie's mouth.
"Well, a while ago i asked my sister rarity how to be more like heroes like daring do or maredowell, and she told me that firsts things first you got to look the part, so i found these" sweetiebelle answered dropping the bowl and a wool cap that was hidden inside.
Applebloom removed her bow and doned the wool cap while scootaloo put on the blue mixing bowl.
The three fillies decided to go to a valley on the outskirts of ponyville near the edge of the everfree forest.
"Aright Girls let's get our Cutiemarks in being Mercenarys!!" applebloom said taking the stickybomb launcher in her hooves, being designed for use with hands this was impossible so she resorted to just kicking the weapon until somthing happened.
"poonk!" the stickybomb launcher fired, the bomb landed on a nearby tree.
Not being around when the mercenarys woke up in equestria the three fillies had no idea what the mysterious
"Beeb-beeb" BOOM! the sticky dedonated causing the tree to explode in a hail of wood splinters, the spell Celestia put on the weapons still stood so the splinters and shrapnel from the bomb bounced harmlessly of the frightened cmc's, however somthing did splash all over the three fillies somthing the spell deemed unlethal
"Tree sap,.... AGAIN!" Scootaloo groaned, thankful for the mixing bowl on her head that protected her mane.
"What is with us and this stuff!" Applebloom said thankful for her wool cap for the same reason as scootaloo was thankful for her bowl.
SweetieBelle just sniffed holding back tears at the thought of returning home with her mane full of sap and wood. After the shock of what just happened Appleblooms face lid up with an idea.
"Hey Sweetie, after seeing how much buck this weapons got, i got a idea on how to get our cutie marks and preform a service to Ponyville!" Applebloom said grabbing sweetiebelle's hoof and the launcher and running towards the Everfree.
"Hey girls, what im i supposed to do?!" scootaloo yelled.
"Do what you came here for and try being a Soldier out, me and sweetie will be back before you know it with two brand spanking new cutiemarks!" Applebloom yelled in response before she and Sweetiebelle disapeared into the Everfree.
Reminded of her quest Scootaloo started to dig around at the ground...in a few minutes she found what she was looking for.
"Maggots!" scootaloo exclaimed with exitment, she went over to the Solders Rocket launcher and tried to figure out how it worked. after some guesses she positioned the end of the barrel over the maggots wiggling in the dirt. then she took the launcher on her forehooves and kicked it exparimently trying to get it to work.
"You maggots don't put up much of a fight." scootaloo said to the small annelids in the dirt. she still kicked at the rocket launcher akwardly until her hoof came to rest in the finger guard pushing the trigger back. a deafining explosion riped through the area ripping apart scoots ears, the explosion rattled the whole valley waking a certain cyan pony from her early mid morning nap.
When Scoots gathered herself she looked down to see the ground moving very fast away from her, then she saw that her rear hooves where on fire!! Even so, the fire did not hurt nor did the explosion, the only pain she felt was the ringing in her ears but that didn't stop her from realising one thing...she was flying! somthing she wanted to do her whole life but couldnt without help, she loved it, the awsome sight, the morning sun lighting the valley below her and the wind in her mane when she got full grip on the situation she relilised another thing, she had stopped.
She had stopped, and gravity was slowly taking back over and she then reached terminal velocity speeding towards back earth, she relesed her grip on the rocket launcher and screamed flailing her hooves in the air and flapping her wings in vain the last tought that went through her head was what would the other cmc's think when the found her spattered remains on the ground.
The last though left her head when she slipped into unconsciousness out of shock, a blue streak rocketed across the sky catching young scootaloo seconds before she hit the ground, then turned towards twilights library in case she needed medical help.
"She looks fine rainbow dash" twilight said floating a small flashlight into each of scootaloo's eyes.
"What in equestria did you do!" rainbow dash said in a slightly angry tone.
"So you stole from our guests from another world? we are trying to leave a good impression on them! what are going to think when thay find there tools gone!?" Twilight interjected.
"Remember what Celestia said! their enchanted so they return to them no matter what!" Scootaloo said defensively.
"Still its wrong to steal, besides their from another world! they could be contaminated or radioactive! you didnt know how to use them you where almost killed!" twilight answered back.
"Listen im sorry, i'll never do it again! i'am just glad the fastest pony in equestria saved me!" scoots said beaming up at rainbow dash.
"Ooh no you're not getting out of this with flattery, no matter how true it is"! rainbow dash retorted.
Then a booming roar resonated from the Everfree coupled with the faint screams of two fillies that could be heard through the open window of the library. so loudly in fact, it awoke two warriors from their sleep. good thing to, because a couple of warriors is just what ponyville needs right now.

The Stars at Night are big and bright!!!
(About and half hour before the ending events of my last chapter)
Sweetiebelle was pulled quickly through the underbrush of the Everfree forest by apple bloom who hung on to the stickybomb launcher in her mouth and still wore the wool cap and eyepatch given to her earlier that day.
"What in the hay are we doing way out here?" SweetieBelle asked. "don't you know that the Everfree forest is dangerous?"
Applebloom dropped the stickybomb launcher and answered Sweetiebelle. "Well thats why where here! to make the Everfree a whole lot less dangerous! Applebloom looked behined some bushes then turned back to sweetiebelle. "where here!" Applebloom exclamed.
Applebloom kicked at the stickybomb launcher's trigger guard repeatively firing the launcher seven times until it stopped, having no knowledge that you had to reload the weapon concluded that was all it could fire.
"Here's the plan i'll go in and lure it out, when it steps on those, push this button" Applebloom said pointing to the red button on the launcher, then turned and ran into the cave before Sweetiebelle could say anything.
"Lure WHAT OUT!!!!" Sweetiebelle yelled, but heeded no answer from Applebloom.
Then she heard Applebloom scream..and kept screaming..she could hear it getting closer and closer until she witnessed Applebloom sprinting out of the mouth of the cave jumping into the bush with Sweetiebelle. "what in the hay was that about?"Sweetie said confused with her shivering fellow cmc.
She didn't have to wait long as a gigantic dark violet paw came from the mouth of the cave and land on the stickys. Sweetie slamed her hoof on the red buttom as a muffled "boom!" came from under the paw. both cmc's looked at eachother and yelled in unison.
"CELESTIAS SPELL!!" as Sweetie's eyes (and Appleblooms one exposed eye) dialaded with fear.
(directly after the events of my last chapter)
Shaken by the large noise outside both Demoman and Soldier ran from their room's and entered the main room of the library with Rainbow dash, scooaloo and twilight sparkle.
"What in the name of President John f. Patton was that?" Soldier asked
"Its..and ursa major..one of the most dangerous beasts of the Everfree forest..and it looks like Applebloom and Sweetiebelle lead it here to Ponyville." twilight said in a hopeless tone.
Soldier and Demoman when to the window and looked and saw a gigantic bear that was made of stars and violet light emerging from the treecover of the forest at the edge of ponyville. looking a bit of ahead of the ursa major
Being used to taking charge Soldier turned to Twilight and said "Go into town and evac the civies, ive got an idea on how to take this thing down but first we have to save the kids", he turned to Demo "Demo youre with me."
"Eye" Demoman said reaching into his spytech bag and noticing his sticky launcher was gone.
both Twilight and Rainbow turned to scootaloo, she looked up with fear at the mercs "Me, Applebloom and Sweetiebelle took them cuz we wanted cutiemarks like yours!" scootaloo said cringing with fear at the savage beating she was going to get from the two mercs.
Soly sort of chuckeled, and Demo smiled at how cute he tought that was. "None of that matters now come'on i gave you jobs lets go! HUTTA!!!" Soldier yelled snapping back to his serious state of mind running out the door with Demo following and twilight coming out behind them, rainbow dash and scootaloo looked out the window nervously at the two aliens running to save the children.
It would be a lie to say the two mercs did not grow nervous as the ran towards the monster, it was about twenty five feet tall while on all fours bounding towards them and the children.
When the mercs got to the children Demo picked up Applebloom and Soldier picked up Sweetiebelle they both turned and ran back towards Ponyville..but it was no use soon the ursa was on top of them and dipped its head down toward Demo.
"Soly!" Demo yelled as soldier turned to see Demo throw Applebloom into Soldiers arms and the ursa major come down and closed his jaw on demo's left arm and the back of his flak jacket "AAAH!!!, MMEEEEEEEDIC!!!" Demo yelled out of pure instinct as he was being lifted in the ursa's jaw.
"Demo!" Soly yellled as a paw from the ursa swiped him, the powerful strike sent him flying through the air so far he landed on this back with a skid in the center of Ponyville.
Soldier realesed his grip on the two fillies who ran off to find cover, and and Got up to relise two things, the flight left him very injured and twilight was next to him trying to direct a pack of panicking ponies out of the otherside of ponyville.
"Twilight!, do you think you can lift the spell on any of my weapons we need firepower to take this thing down!" Soldier yelled, twilight turned and answered "yes but only one at a time the spell is very powerful!" Twilight said full of panic giving the current situation.
Soldiers mind raced, then he got an idea and searched through his non-stock weapons, he pulled out two and equiped them, he held out one as a purple light surrounded it.
Demo was hanging from the ursa's mouth compleatly sure he was going to die, and their was no respawn to save him. then he heared a voice that a day a go would have not caused him to smile.
"ATTAAAAACK!!!!" Soldier yelled in a indimidating voice, his feet pounding the grass very heavily and his standard rocket launcher in his hands. Soldier jumped into the air, fired his launcher and the resulting explosin catapulted him into the air, at his current condtion that normally would have killed him.
If he didnt have the gunboats equipped that is.
flying through the air he put his rocket launcher back in this inventory and pulled out his market gardener
"TIME TO INFORM YOUR NEXT OF KIN!!" Soldier yelled as he lander on the ursa majors fore head and brought down his market gardener on the big bright star on the ursa's forehead.
Both Solys and Demomans ears exploded with the booming death rattle the ursa uddered and the critical energy arced all through the monsters body, the ursa had some sort of vuarability to in being made of light and stars, the star on its forhead shattered blowing Soldier away and the ursa opened it's mouth in shock dropping the Demo as well.
Both Demo and Soly where saved feet from the ground by twilights magic and landed softly on the grass in the valley below.
Soldier stood up and watched as the the ursa condinued to roar as light left both of it's eyes and mouth escaping to the sky above, until at lasted the ursa exploded and shattered into a million pieces of twinkling star glass that dissapeared as it fell gently to the ground.
Soldier turned to see Demo barely breathing on the grass next to him. panic when through Solys body as he checked over Demo's arm, the bite had caused bleeding damage!!!!. twilight trodded up to the two mercs.
"Oh Celestia! what magic was that! Ive never seen a ursa major being taken down with a single spell, why most wizards would saay such powerful magic would be cheating!" Twilight said with astonishment
"listen missy!!, my friend here hasen't got much time left i need you to send me back home NOW!!"
"You're friend?" twilight asked
Soly then relised what he just said "YES MA"AM MY FREIND!!, i don't care what he did anymore i just wanted to live!"
Twilight smiled gently at the lesson Soldier had learned and opened the portal to Solys world.
Soldier ran to his base and sprinted three flights of stairs two medics rooms, he busted down the door and yelled "MEDIC!!!" he looked to see medic still sleeping soundly in his bed, then he went up to his and slapped him, it was like he was slapping solid rock, frustated he took out his shovel and smaked the medic right on the nose, a "PANG!" rang through the the room but the medic didnt even stir.
Then he remembered the stop time Spell twilight and Celestia put on his world, "Right!" Soldier thought as he rummaged through medics equipment, grabbing a few medicpacks, using them on himself, then slung a pack on his back and grabbed the gun that went with it and ran down the stairs, out of the base and into the shed dissapearing in a flash of light.

the WAR! is over now what?
The Soldier dived through the portal into the main room of Twilight's library where she and her five friends lay huddeled over the broken scottsman.
"How's he doing"? Soldier asked Twilight who had the Demo's chest surrounded in her magic.
"i'am afraid not so well..his vitals are fading..and i just don't posses spells powerful enough to.....what is that? Twilight said pointing a hoof at the gun with a backpack attached to it reminding her of a sceiance fiction movie of her youth..Ghostbuckers.
"this is a magic we posses called...techmallogie!" Soldier said pointing the gun at the Demoman letting the glowing heal beam attach to his broken friends body.
"Here somebody hold this lever back" Soldier said calmly putting the medigun down on a nearby chair letting fluttershy hold the leaver back with her mouth.
Soldier feld a pit in his stomach as he nelt but the Demos makshift bed, a spare mattress ripped from the closet, and started choking up.
"Demo..you skirt whrilling drunk...you one eyed crossdresser...you englishman with a dress....for years i wanted you dead..and now that it might happen....i miss when we where freinds...i would give anything for things to go back...back to what they where well...Demoman....im sorry..im sorry for ever agreeing to kill you...i should have made them drag me out to the gravel pit and shoot me...heck..i should make them do it now..powers that be knows i derserve it..its just...why did you tell them?...my secret...i was so angry....and after i won the WAR! for the first time...i was sad, and i questioned what i did, for the first time in my life, Demo.... im sorry" Solder took off his helmit and laid it beside Demo..stood at attention...and gave Demo a salute..then doubled over and tried to hide his sobbing.
Demo's hand lifted and landed on Soldiers gunboats, all the ponys gasped in suprise, Soldier failed to noticed through his light sobbing.
"Quit yer blubbering ya wee little girl, i ain't going nowhere!" Demo uddered in a strained voice.
Solder's face lit up and he lifted Demo in a hug, "OOOOWwwwWW!!" Demo issued in pain, then out of instinct Soldier dropped Demo who issued another cry of pain as he crashed back on the mattress followed by some stomach churning nosies issued by the now further broken arm.
"Sorry about that, Soldier" Soldier said embarrased scratching the back of his head, then donning his hemit.
"Thats okay, ya blasted ijet!! as long as ya ment all those sweet things about me" Demo said
"I did, every word, i don't know what it is but ever since we where taken here and stoped fighting, i can't help remembering what it was like when we where friends...and how much fun we had, you where the only friend i ever had Demo, and i missed that" Soldier said in a sorrowful tone.
"Alright then, so what was this aboot me tell'n yer secret? Demo asked
"Well that how this all started, the adminstrators goons showed me footage of you telling my secret to them.. i was so mad, thats why i agreed to kill you, but none of that matters now! i forgave you so we could be freinds again" Soldier answered.
"Ach! What? i never told them yer secret! i was thinking, maybe the Admistraitor pulled one over on us!! cuz i always questioned what they told me, that you just "agreed to kill me" i always took you for more integity that that, but when you started attacken me, i thought ms. pauling was telling the truth, but NOW yer tellin me YOU where attacking me cuz i spilt the beans on yer big secret, i think we've been tricked" Demo said standing up now that all of his wounds where healed, Fluttershy let the medigun drop to the floor.
Soldier thought over Demos speech for a long time "Demo i belive you are right!" Soly said with a hint of anger. "So that means" Soldier said, voice with a hint of happiness
"Nobody betrayed Nobody, we've been freinds this whole time!" Demo said reaching out his hand.
Soldier looked down, a balloon of happiness rising in his chest, and grabbed Demos hand and shook it, both beaming proudly.
Twilight and Rarity both gasped in shock, the two mercs turned to see both Twilight's and Rarity's horn fizzing with raw magic energy arcing all over the place then a blinding light appeared blinding all who where in the room.
"Well, it seems the powerful friendship that i sensed die so long ago has been restored" Princess Celestia said with a proud tone, "you two humans, from a world filled with war and violence, stand before me as friends, the most powerful magic anywhere."
"Yes ma'am" Soldier said snapping to attention
"Eye lass, we relised we where always friends, we where duped into giving up the best thing that ever happened to us" Demo said in a respectful tone.
"Who whould make two good freinds seprate? and for what reason?" Celestia asked.
"the Admistrator, bet the lass would be worried we would betray her, dona worry princess we got an idea for when we return so this dosen't ever happen again" Demo answered.
"Well, thats good to hear, now not only did you restore your freindship, you also saved all of ponyville from the ursa major, its late now but tomarrow we can get started.
"get started on what?" Demo asked.
"Onyourthanksforsavingourbaconfromthebigscarymonsterwhichisgoodbecausewereallylikeourbacon!!!" a pink pony yelled with excitement.
The next morning Celestia called all of ponyville to honor their guests.
"My little ponies! the first time you saw these creatures they attacked me, and displayed high amounts of violence. however they proved to be friends to ponykind my saving two young fillies and vanquishing the horrible ursa major to the skies forever, also these two have reforged one of the strongest friendships i've seen in all of history and for all this, i am proud to bestow equestrias highest honor! the equetrian medal of honor!. Celestia annocened to the crown below the stage, all the ponies stomped their hooves in celibration as Twilight used magic to sling medals over both of the merc's necks. a gold medal with a sun on the front and a moon's on the sling of the medal.
After the honor cerimony the merc's rode through town in Celestia's royal cart with the princess sitting behind them waving at the inhabidents of ponyville while fireworks exploded in the sky while pegisi threw glitter and ticker tape everywhere, on the street little fillies and colts ran through the streets wearing painted mixing bowls and wool caps and eye patches, and outfit combonation that would mean friendship for genrations to come.
The parade ended back at the center of town, both merc's got back on stage as Celestia said it was time to return them to thier world, then she opened the portal and both merc's turned and walked backwards. waving and saying their goodbyes at the cheering crowd of ponyville while the crowd shouted back thier own cries of graditude and thanks of thier own.
In a flash the cheering ended and the two friends looked at eachother, both where covered in ticker tape and glitter with a big gold medal around thier neck.
"Well? be seeing tomarrow lad!" the Demo man said happily streaching out his hand.
"Can't wait!" the soldier said backed returning Demo's handshake
Both mercs left the shed, it was still night out just like it when they left and both entered the respected bases.
Soldier opened the door to his base with a gigantic smile under his helmit, that quicky dissapeared when he heard a angry voice shout at him.
"Dummkopf!!!!" a disgruntuled medic yelled.
Soldier turned to see medic tapping his foot while wearing a bath robe with a big bruise on his cheek and blood flowing from his nose, the look on his face matched the one he had that one day when he ubercharged heavy but the enemy pyro airblasted him off a cliff, pure anger and frustation.
"vould you please tell me vere my medigun has skampered off to? Medic asked in a very calm, unnerving tone. "zen while you're at it tell me, vhot happened to my face??!! the medic yelled, fuming with anger.
"Well its like this doc" Soldier started with the events of two nights before.
the next day
The Admistraitor sat in her seat, luming over the many monitors of fort doublecross. "the enemy has our intelligence!!" she would shout to the BLU team while pluging her mic into the RED team and yelling "we have the enemy intelligence!!" then she notice a particulair monitor with an image of the BLU Soldier with his foot on the corpse of a freshly killed RED Demoman yelling "Scotland is not a real country!!, you are a englishman with a dress!!"
The Admistraitor lit a cigrette and grew a devilish smile, proud that the plan for the WAR! went off with out a hitch.
The BLU engineer dropped his PDA letting it hang from the wires connecting it to the survellance camera in the BLU base, "well Soly that should about do it! i looped feed from footage from all of our previous battles i dowloaded from the TF indistries database, to her it should look like where fighting like normal.
"Thanks Engie!" soldier said with appreciation.
"Now if you dont mind i gotta help Medic build a new medigun, funny i found him in out courtyard with a nasty bump on his head" Engie said with wonderment, "He dosent remember a thing from last night."
"He was probabbly sleepwalking, it happens to doctors i hear." soldier said back.
'Yeah well im just glad we have a day off, hope RED teams having fun, not a bunch a bad folks when there not shooting at us" Engie said walking up the stairs to Medics room.
"I compleatly agree" soldier said with agreement has his best friend rounded the courner.
"So Demo what are we going to do tonight?" Soldier asked.
Demo held up to tickets to todays badlands brawlers game and smiled.
"what ye wait'n around here for? lets go!" Demo said with enusiasim.
Both friends walked towards the secret exit out of the base while Soldier put his hand around Demos sholders.
"theirs one thing i don't understant though" Soldier said with concern.
"What?" Demo inquired.
"If you didn't tell the Admistaitor about my secret, who did?" Soldier asked.
Demo rolled his eyes, their was only one person to blame to avoid a argument.
"Oi wasen't in dem squrirrels that you say is always plotten agaist ya?" Demo answered
"OF COURSE!!! those monsters are always against me!! gasp! i told my heads to watch out for them!! those lazy severed heads!! i'll boot them right out of my training program for this!!!" Soldier yelled to the heavens.

Well i guess thats it, it war fun writing this to celibrate the WAR! update anniversiry (Dec 9 2009) well my first fanfic. what did you think? i liked it but how IAM I going to hate it? i wrote it! so that why i need your likes and comments thanx of all of those who read this.
