Cross-Pollination
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIn the end I won the contest. My poem had been a big hit with the judges. They’d said it carried with a tone of intense longing and desire. It warmed my belly knowing there were ponies aside from Lily who liked my poems. The prize was one thousand bits, which was a large sum for me, and a few of my poems would be put in newspapers and art magazines. There was a party afterwards which Lily made me attend.
The party took places on the stage, it was for all the poets, writers, and judges to hang out and chat about literature. Almost immediately I slunk to one corner and stood there nervously with a drink, biting my lip. Low music was playing, which made me feel a little better about the whole thing, as it was calming. You could just hear it over the murmurs of the assembled crowd.
“You shouldn’t sit in the corner, Rose,” Lily said to me. “I’m sure there’s many ponies who’d like to talk to an award winning pony such as yourself.” I shook my head.
“I couldn’t answer anything they ask me. I don’t read a lot of poetry, I just write it sometimes.” Lily sighed at me. She looked peeved, and I wish she wasn’t. I didn’t like it when she was grumpy at me. “Oh come on, I didn’t go to school for fancy writing.” She wasn’t impressed with my answer. “I don’t think I should have even won,” I added under my breath. It was just my luck that she heard me too.
“Rose, I swear you beat yourself up more than anypony ever has.” She made her way behind me and started to push me by my flank towards the crowd of ponies. Almost instantly one of the judges came up to speak.
“Mrs Rose,” he said, “That was some marvelous work.” He was an older stallion, sagging skin and white mane and tail. He had glasses low on his nose through which he peered at me. “Where did you come up with those words?”
“I’m not sure,” I mumbled, shaking my head along with the words. “Sometimes they just come to me.” Lily nudged my hind leg with her, out of sight of the stallion. “Uhm, I guess it was just love.”
“Just love, Rose?” Lily asked. She had one eyebrow raised over the other, her lips pursed tightly. “I would have thought from the words that it was some incredible love, but I guess if it’s just ‘okay’ love then...”
“Well I meant to say incredible,” I said to them both hurriedly. “It wasn’t a normal love that inspired me, I should say.” The words came easier the more I spoke, but I could tell Lily had something in mind for that ‘normal love’ comment.
“Ah, I see,” the stallion agreed wisely, “I hope to feel that sort of love one day.” With a smile on his face he walked back into the crowd, mingling with others. Lily and I were just a paltry distance away from the rest of the ponies, still I felt nervous. Inside I knew I had to buck up and talk to the them, but inside of all that I still felt like I was a little filly. But before I could take a step of my own another pony came to talk to me, this time a mare that had taken second place. She was a cool mint color with slightly darker mane. It was styled elegantly, like Rarity’s had been. She had a lot of makeup on around her eyes.
“I see you know a thing or two about love,” she said. I thought I could detect a hint of seductivity, like how Lily would talk when we snuggled together, but I had never heard it from another mare before. “Maybe you could show me some of those things.” I couldn’t help but blush profusely at the boldness of the mare in front of me. She hadn’t even asked if I was into mares!
“I don’t know about that,” I said shyly, “I just write poetry...”
“Oh, I know,” she said. “But I’m thinking maybe there are some other things you and I both do.” I saw that Lily was glaring at the mare.
“She said no,” Lily stated. “No means no.” The other mare scoffed.
“She didn’t say anything like that to me.” She was being catty towards Lily, and I didn’t like that one bit. I had to put my hoof down for once, especially for Lily.
“I’m just a poet,” I said, firmer than before, “And I’m in a relationship.”
“So?” Lily looked furious. but instead of getting violent she took a deep breath and pulled me aside, talking quickly.
“Let’s just get out of here, Rose,” she whispered. I nodded, wanting to leave since it started. Lily and I both ducked away from the loose mare. One the way out we got my award and grabbed a drink each. I hadn’t seen from which table we’d grabbed them from, but there had been alcoholic and non-alcoholic. So I sipped it casually.
But I should have been more careful, because once we got started walking down the dark streets of Canterlot I could tell the drink had more than just juice in it. I don’t drink often, and when I do it hits me pretty hard. I could feel all the usual symptoms, tiredness, warmth, and I couldn’t quite walk straight. It was two blocks to the train station when I felt myself leaning on Lily for support. She was looking at me worried.
“Are you alright, Rose?” she asked tenderly. I blinked once, there seemed to have been more than one Lily looking at me.
“‘m fine,” I muttered. Lily didn’t seem as sure as I was. I was fine to get home.
“Let’s just get a place for the night,” she suggested. “Look, there’s one down the street there, across from the station. The place was open and had plenty of room, I guess the poetry contest wasn’t a popular tourist attraction after all. The place was named “The End of the Rail” and looked nice for being on the outskirts of Canterlot. It had light blue walls and black and white tile floors. I didn’t see much else, as I had to keep my eyes on the ground to not trip myself.
Whatever Lily said to the pony at the counter I barely paid attention to. All I knew was that after a couple moments Lily was leading me down the hallway and into a posh room. There was a single bed, a table for writing, and a few candles candles, lit by magic. Lily led me to the bed and sat me down on the edge.
“How drunk are you?” she asked. She was staring intently at me, I didn’t get what her problem was. Didn’t she know how awesome it was that I’d won a prize?
“Jus’ the one,” I said, trying to be coy. Lily was not in the mood to be coy.
“Let me get you some water.” With that she went to the bathroom sink and filled up two glasses. She brought them back and put them on the nightstand closest to me. “Now try to sleep and drink the water.” I reached over for one of the glasses, but my hooves slipped and sent it rolling onto the carpeted floor. “Maybe you should just sleep.” I lay down on the bed, still over the covers, and Lily crawled in next to me. “Do you need...?” she offered.
“N-no,” I said calmly, “I can do it on my own.” With the grace of a fish on land I wormed my way under the covers by first lying across the pillows and slipping my legs and tail under the covers before sliding my body down. “Eas’.” Lily rolled her eyes and reached over to a switch that would extinguish the candles.
In the dark I could still see her outlines under the blanket. Her wide flank like another pillow I wanted to lie on. Without a second or even a first thought I reached over to embrace her in a deep hug. With my head resting on her neck I felt great. She was warmer and softer than usual and I could feel myself stirring down below, partially because I couldn’t help but remember the time we’d gone further than cuddling.
Maybe it was the drink acting for me but I felt a little more courageous than I ever had. So it seemed natural to me to start moving my hoof down her back the same way she had to me.
“Are you doing what I think you’re doing?” she asked, her voice muffled through a pillow.
“Shhhh,” I cooed, “I’m just trying something.” I trailed my hoof around what I assumed where her hips, hopefully circling the cutie mark. Lily turned herself around and push my hoof to my side.
“You’re really out of it, Rose,” she said sternly. “You can’t really-” I stopped her, placing my other hoof in front of her lips.
“But I want to...” I said, my voice breaking into a childish cry. For some reason my actions hadn’t come across like I’d meant them to. Lily pushed both my hooves back and wrapped me in a hug.
“I’ll tell you what,” she whispered into my ear, “If you still want to do whatever was in your mind in the morning, we’ll keep the room for the whole day.” My heart leapt at the thought of doing it all day. I could hardly wait for morning to come, and when I fell asleep in Lily’s embrace I felt so sure I was going to return the favor she’d done to me so long ago.
Morning had a different plan for me. When I opened my eyes I had to shut them because the light of the room seemed to burn my eyes. Slowly but surely I was able to open them to the world. Worst of all was the feeling in my head. It was almost like someone had taken everything in my head and mixed it all together. I was sick as a dog. Lily was sitting up in bed and reading a book she’d found somewhere.
“How are you feeling?” she asked. I grunted something in response. She put the book down across her belly, and stared into my eyes. Her expression carried a feeling that she was riding the high horse right now, and I had to agree. “Are you ready to give me all the pleasures in the world?” I buried my head in the pillow, letting only the ache in my head touch me. I mumbled another thing to her and felt awfully embarrassed. Lily pulled me into a hug, but thankfully my head was still cushioned by the pillow. It felt a lot better having her hug me.
“Don’t feel too good?” Her mouth was right next to my ear, her words sending tingles through my spine for some reason as her warm breath pooled around my ear. “I can think of something that might make you better.” She snuggled up closer, and I loved it when she did that. Being close to Lily was one of the best things ever. “You know how when I ate you out... it made you feel good?” I started blushing profusely. Lily pulled my head out of the pillow and gave me a once over. “Oh come on, Rose, we can use those words! We’re together now. I can talk about eating your pussy.” I shuddered when she spoke like that. Maybe it made sense to think about it like that. You did those kind of things with a... ‘pussy’, and not a marehood.
“I dunno...” I grumbled. Talking made the ache worse, so I decided against doing any more of it. Lily propped my head up so I was looking stuck looking at her face. Her normally joyful face was pouting and I could feel in the air that she was going to cry.
“I mean... you said last night that you wanted to... I got so excited, you don’t even know.” Even I could tell that she was pushing it on to me, and I didn’t see any way out of it either. One reason being I couldn’t ever say no to Lily, she meant too much for me for that. I’d help her in any way I could. A second because she was right, I had said I’d wanted to. With that the strangeness in my head seemed to ebb away and disappear for the moment, allowing me to talk.
“I don’t know how,” I said, trying to be calm. In all honesty my heart was racing and she’d know it too. “What if I can’t make you...”
“You’ll make me cum, Rose. And please feel free to talk as dirty as you want. I like it.”
“Talking like that makes me feel funny,” I admitted. Lily giggled, her expression now wildly different and back to being one of happiness. Why couldn’t I keep track of how she looked sometimes. I probably just get too focused in my head.
“Well I know there’s good and bad funny feelings, dear. I hope it’s a good one.” She talked seductively and danced around subjects like she knew what I was going to say before I did.
“I think so...” I was wondering when it was going to happen, I realized. Lily was going to have me... eat her out.
And I was going to enjoy it. That struck me hardest, I hadn’t ever really imagined doing it, aside from being a little drunk, it hadn’t crossed my minds. I cleared my throat and began to speak.
“S-so how do w-we begin?” Lily got up and out of the cuddle. She looked at me one last time.
“Only if you’re really sure you want to.” I nodded, there wasn’t any going back. If I could do this, I thought, I could do anything. She turned around on the bed, so her posterior was to me and took a step forward, so I’d have to move to her. Then she lay down on the bed, back legs out and to the side at a right angle. From beneath her flicking tail I could see the darker pink of her lips, starting to glisten from droplets of excitement. “You just go to town, Rose.” I swallowed my inhibitions and moved closer to Lily’s waiting marehood, or as she’d say ‘pussy’
Looking at her... pussy brought a strange feeling over me. I wanted so desperately to please her, but how could I know what to do? When I got closer to it, it felt like I’d never seen on in my entire life, even having had one of my own. I was stunned looking at it. The deep pink color, a darker shade than her coat, covered the outside lips, but through them I could see hints of a light pink. Even staring made my own nethers start to crawl. I moved even closer still, so that my nose was just barely avoiding it.
“You can take all the time you want,” Lily said, “and feel free to move me if you need to.” But I didn’t want to move her, I could probably do it like this. Her scent was intoxicating. A musky smell that made me feel a craving that I hadn’t known before. Tentatively I reached a hoof out and placed it on the folds. They were warm. squishy, and moved to my whims easily.
With that I could see all of her pussy, even now getting shinier. Her juices slowly flowed over my hoof, sticking to it. I pulled it back, curious. What did she... taste like? There wasn’t anything else to do, so I braced myself and did something I never thought I’d do.
I slid my tongue between the folds of her marehood, taking in the juices that were so plentiful inside of her. The only thing that struck me was the taste. A salty sweetness that reminded me of nothing else and left me craving all that she could give me. I found myself taking two, then three more swipes. Everytime Lily would moan and groan just a little louder. She had no problem with being heard, I realized, doubtful that anypony would hear us. She let herself fall into the moment like I never had. Lily turned over so she was on her back, legs up to her chest.
“Sorry,” she said through pants, “Just wanted a better position for myself. I decided I had to be more like her, and it was time to give her what she probably wanted. I put my lips to her and started to feel deeper and deeper with my tongue, probing all around. The muscular walls giving way to my wandering tongue.
All of a sudden Lily’s legs were wrapped around my head, pushing my muzzle in deeper. She was moaning loudly and I could just barely see the rest of her. One hoof was digging into the bed beside her, the other was right above my head, massaging part of her. I slapped myself mentally, how could I have forgotten? But it was too late for that now, Lily was taking care of it, I just had to do my best.
I kept on exploring her more deeply than I could have ever imagined. The mixture of taste, smell, and texture blew my mind away. I was so turned on it was more of blind passion than anything else that drove me on. It was mind blowing, exotic, wrong, and right at all times. Lily was moaning, working furiously on her clit while I did my best to use my mouth and tongue. I had no idea if what I was doing was working, or if it was all her.
All I know was that it worked, and I felt the muscle tighten on my tongue and muzzle while hot liquid poured down my throat. It was a much different taste, almost impossible to describe. The words that describe it best came to be Lily, it was Lily pure and simple. Lily unlocked her legs and let me up.
I pulled my muzzle away, cum dripping from my mouth, and looked longingly at Lily. She was lying on the bed, content, happy. I crawled over to snuggle her and she accepted me with openly. I closed my eyes, for some reason exhausted. Even the own heat in my marehood seemed distant to just wanting to cuddle Lily. Lily started licking my muzzle, getting it nice and clean. My hair bristled. What would she want to do next?
