A Thief In The Night

                                                     Chapter 1

                                                            Meet The Thief

The night air was warm and crisp with a faint wind along with clouds threw which moonlight dimly shined. Against the night sky was the silhouette of canterlots newest thief on the rooftop of the castle of the two ruling princesses of the land. I made my way down the wall with a rope that was attached to a pole with the equestrian flag gently waving in the breeze. When I came to a window I peered through to see to see no pony in that room but it was so dark, (I could be wrong but whoever was in here if anypony I could handle it). While I pulled out the suction cup I hooked an ultra thin razor [thief grade] to a circular base, placed the cup on the glass made sure it was airtight then started to cut ( over many errors I finally managed how to master entering a building this way). Inside the castle I pulled out my pda and went over the list of items I was supposed to steal which contained: princess Celestia and Luna's crowns, an ancient book from the archives, and the cloud gem off the throne. Ok I said to myself putting my pda in my pocket "let’s get rolling" I said stretching. For about fifteen minutes I snuck around the castle halls looking for my targets when I remembered I downloaded the castle schematics to my pda, while I was pulling it out I heard a door creak open on my far right then two voices one low and formal, and the other gentle but stern. I quickly realized who they were (oh crap) I said in my head looking for a place to hide. (Knowing Luna is the master of the night and she could) “Who is here” she suddenly asked talking in a higher tone of voice that echoed through the halls (easily sense me) I finished my mental sentence. Now I’m a good thief but how do you avoid something like that “if you do not show yourself the consequences will be greater “Luna continued “Luna, I don’t sense anypony in here” Celestia whispered “sister this pony knows how to hide their presence a great deal, like I he or she can move without being heard or seen and if there really good can even hide in plain sight skills mostly used by assassins and thieves (why’d I take this job) Luna started to move to my hiding spot but * heart starts pounding* (if I get caught I done for) suddenly a loud crash from down the hall sent the two sisters running I took the distraction and slipped away unnoticed. *takes a deep breath* I pulled out my pda back out looking at the schematics “ok so the archives are down the hall to my right” I whispered to myself “best hurry this up”. As I walked I noticed several many colorful paintings and stained windows telling many stories one including six ponies fighting what looked like a dragon mixed with tons of other animals but I wasn't sure whatever it was is beyond me. When I finally reached the archives there was heavy activity near the door, I ran back behind the wall I came around pulled out my dart gun and a magazine with five darts (man I need larger mags) I thought to myself. I held the gun in one hoof and dug around in my pocket with the other for something to throw and found one bit, I peeked around the corner to see seven guards talking by the door. I broke away from the wall and threw the coin as far as I could and when the coin hit the far wall three guards went to investigate, I moved farther away from the wall and took down the remaining guards with a dart in their necks reloaded and waited for the other guards to return when they did I took two out and my gun jammed on the last one, I threw my gun which bounced of is head causing him to stumble then I ran up throwing a powerful hoof that connected with his jaw he hit the ground out cold and I caught my gun putting it back in the holster then the pain from hitting solid gold armor with my hoof kicked in *rolling on the ground holding the hurt hoof* “oh my Luna it hurts so bad” I said still rolling. After the pain in my hoof subsided I hid the unconscious guards and went into the archives, and there was the book very hard to miss on the top shelf “well time to start flapping don’t want to be here when they wake up”. When I got the book I exited the archives and bumped into Luna and her sister “whom do we have here” Luna said with a smile “you gotta be kidding me” I said backing into the closed archive doors “you‘ll be coming with us” Celestia said also cracking a smile “I don’t think so” I said raising an eyebrow “it appears as if you don’t have a choice *starts laughing* the two royals were confused by this action and I took that time to bolt off to the side turned a corner and saw like a bazillion guards *sweat drop appears* I turned back around and walked back to the princesses “so where is it that you want to go” I asked the    nervousness clear in my voice.
