Lighting’s Point Of View: An Mlp Fanficton
“ Slow, Down!” RainbowDash cried out after me.
“You’re Tired? Seriously?”
“YES!!!!”
“Fine, we’ll stop. I just can’t believe you're tired.”
“ Believe it, Sky.”
“ Well I’m going to go for a flight around PonyVille, see ya later Dash. “
“ See ya! “
I start to fly to PonyVille, but there was nopony in the streets.
“ Hello? Anypony down there?” I flew down, but saw nopony anywhere. There wasn't anyone anywhere, I land and look around. Suddenly a cloud of black smoke starts twirling around my hooves.
“What the,” the cloud starts to form into a shape, a shape of a mare. It plumes up and becomes a mare standing right in front of me. She grins and her mouth is filled with sharp jagged teeth. Her mane was a blood red and black. It waved out wards but looked chopped up and was messy. She had an evil gracefulness to her that I couldn't understand. The rest of her body was a deep blue and her cutiemark was a mask. On her back was a black saddle bag. She looked at me and smiled that eerie grin that lit my insides on fire.
I felt a surge of anger toward her, a pull to hate her with every ounce of my body. I had no idea why I felt this way. She smiled again and spoke “SkyCrackle, just who I needed to see.”
"H-how do you know my name?" I asked , taking a step back.
"Oh, I know everything about you! It is my duty to figure everything out about my victims, particularly you. "
"Why me?" I shake myself and step forward, able to muster up my usual brave self.
"Because of your dreadful species."
"Pegasi?"
"No you idiot, the Lights."
"I'm pretty sure I'm not a light bulb."
"Lights aren't light bulbs! They are the complete enemy of my species, Darks."
I laugh and say, "Darks? Oh, so Lights and Darks are enemies. Of course they are! I mean they are opposites. Wow your head is in the clouds. Those things don't even exist." I laugh harder and the pony gives me an annoyed look.
"Your mother never told you? About who you really are?" the pony asks menacingly.
I stiffen, "My mother is dead."
"Oh that's right. Did anyone even tell you how she died? "
"She died fighting in a war."
"That's what they wanted you to think. She really got killed by one of my race. The killer's name is DarkShadow. "
"Y-you're lying." I stammer a bit, not sure to believe her or not. It had to be a lie. All of this was.
"Oh, the funny thing is, I'm not." she smiled and continued, "And now you get to die after hearing the truth."
With that, she suddenly leapt on top of me and threw me to the ground with surprising strength. I tried to throw her off, but her grip was like iron. She pinned me down and grabbed a knife out of her saddle bag. She turned the knife around in her hooves and placed it on my neck.
"The great SkyCrackle, last of the Lights, and who I've been searching for all my life. I forgot to mention something important by the way," she leaned down with a wicked grin and whispered into my ear "I'm DarkShadow." It all crashed into me, oddly, and I realized, I am going to die in moments. And everything she said, it had to be true, it fit together like a puzzle. I was faster than Dash, was it a Light thing? Why hadn't anyone told me? And after I learn this, now I'm about to die. Great ,I thought miserably. DarkShadow snapped me out of my thoughts as she pressed the knife harder. I shrieked in pain as she drew blood. She smiled that wicked grin again, and I wanted to hurt her back. The only problem was that I am stuck under her grip. She pressed harder, bit by bit, harder and harder. " Don't worry Sky," she used the nickname that all my friends called me mockingly, " this will go nice and slow.. " After that, several things happened at once. Something black barreled into DarkShadow and it took me a moment to realize that it was Lina, my best friend. Lina was a black alicorn that had white hair that waved out in front of her and ended with three little chops on the end. Lina looked at me and smiled,
"Hey Sky looked like you needed a little help."
"Sorta." I grinned at her. My gaze traveled past her and landed on the pony who just tried to kill me. DarkShadow was recovering from her blow and stood up. She glared at me and did something I personally thought awfully stupid. She leapt at me and I simply kicked her hard in the gut as soon as she came close. I expected her to do it, and the anger was still bubbling inside me. Plus she killed my mother, that adds a lot of hate. After she fell to the ground Lina used her magic to put her in a metal cage. I laughed a little at the sight of her locked up, and she glowered at me and spoke her voice full of hate,
"Don't think this as a victory. I will kill you, and my people will come to this wretched place and take it over, remake it in their own image, and kill anypony who objects or rebels. " I shuddered a little at her words but stood up and said, " How are you going to kill me in that little cage of yours?" I asked mockingly. She opened her mouth to speak, but just then Lina released her. DarkShadow closed her mouth and flew away, mustering up the dignity she could. "What did you do that for? " I turned to Lina confused and slightly angry.
"She was of no harm anymore. She wouldn't try to hurt you again. She was done and ready to fly off."
"How do you know that? Plus she could come back." Lina looked at me and shrugged.
" True, but if she does we'll be ready for her."
