His childhood, wasn't what you would call, spoiled. This particular pegasus pony was rather shy and often had combed his glorious mane with gel that had found out that it's job was to grease this little filly's mane. The gel never did get the little tyke dirty. Nor did his hair rub against his lovely light green and white scarf, and leave stains. He was perfectly clean. Day in, and day out. He never played with the other filly's in school, nor did he jump-rope, hop scotch, or build dirt cakes. But he was the perfect one to sit inside and drink a nice warm tea with the teachers. Ms. Improper to be particular was his favorite. Oh, how she would give him wonderful baby carrots with an apple or two, and they would sit, talk about the other children. They would mostly talk about the real housewives of ManeHatten. Boy oh boy. How feisty.
Harmonic was the star of the party though. It was simply amazing how she kept herself young by drinking juiced carrots, but the important part was that she didn't need to cause much harm to the camera once more.
Now, this child was strange. He loved fish, and so did his mother and father before his mother became an alcoholic, as well as his father which caused him his death, but his favorite type of fish was Cat-fish. He absolutally hated Salmon, but of course....that was the color of his coat, and the name of the pegasi.
Now that Salmon is all grown up, so is his childish mother and everyone else that was a young tyke back then, he has found his specialty. Cooking Salmon. Yes, cooking salmon. The food critiques simply adore his salmon, but he shall not be able to feel what they are to feel. Because he hates Salmon.
"Eh, Salmon. Ya mind scraping the crusty skin off of this here piece of fish?"
"No can do William. I have other hungry customers 'ere, and I can't just stop the whole cooking process like last time. Nearly set the whole building on fire,"
"Did you now?"
"I sure did. Can't let another bottle of scotch near the cooking station now these days. Why don't you ask Scallop to help you out. About time she helped out the elderly for once,"
"Oh Salmon. What would I ever do without you. I come here, sit down, eat a few skillets of fish, and now here I am talking to you while you have more hungry customers to serve. And remember Pupo, don't leave that kitchen once more, or, or heck! Who knows what could happen. I do. You'll burn the whole buildin' down. Now get back there so I can shovel some corn into my mouth!" And so William did. He shoveled that corn into his mouth like any other toothless elderly, and was proud of it. Just like the good old days when his ma would reward him with a moonpie him and his sister would share. Day by day the youngsters would take a bite, and by the fourth, the whole cake would be gone. They would wait for mother to go to the store, and during those long three hours to the store, they would hang out with the dogs, hand them their carrots, and they would be gone upstairs playing battleship.
"Oh Scallop honey! William needs another moonpie!" William yelled out with a slight chuckle. He banged on the table, and even his nails would bang down and would strike back. He would end up with broken nails right after a healthy manicure.
"I'm coming, I'm coming you old coot!"
"Oh Scallop. I remember when you were just a foal with a dream to live in a condo, but instead, your here serving me a vanilla moonpie when I asked for chocolate...." William did not shout in rage that she had gotten his order wrong once again, but he politely smiled and added yet another chuckle for humor.
"I know, I know. Can't wait to get out of this dump,"
"For what deary?"
"So I can get away from you. That's what!" Scallop had given William his chocolate moonpie, and now she had waited patiently in front of him with a quite unpleasant look, and fixed her vintage apron.
"My my Scallop. What color is that on your apron? Is it a red, a green, white, blue or black? Or is it simply crimson. Boy...I remember the days when the all the colors were simple. One red, green, blue, yellow, and not a single orange in sight!"
"William you coot. May I remind you that your color blind? I doubt that you even got to know the good old fashioned colors. And of course orange was in sight. You just don't remember cause your face was in moonpie's all day,"
"Indeed. Now why don't you go take a break in the back darling?" Although William had annoyed Scallop day after day, he still enjoyed to give her a small tip of five dollars, which gave her thirty five dollars after a week, but if he was terribly sick every other month, than the money could wait.
"Ey, Scallop, mind cleaning the tables instead of curving your fingernails for goodness sake!"
"Why can't you do it!"
"Because I'm back here scrapping the slabs of Salmon skin attached to the plate. Not much time for cleaning tables darling. Just get your work done and you can be down at the strip club in any minute now," Salmon teased while he shoveled the salmon into the trash like every other morning.
"Oh Salmon....I can't even imagine why your so stressed day after day!" Scallop was now chin to chin with Salmon. Her legs were stretched out, as she held herself up on the counter with one hand, the other on Salmon's chin. She crossed her legs, still stretched out, and puckered her lips up for a sweet kiss like usual.
"I have no time for kissing you ol' slut! I need to get this scotch down to ma!"
"Your always delivery for your sweet granny fish darling. Why not take a break for once and get yourself fired from this joint!"
"I don't think you understand Scallop. I need this job. I need to pay for ma's scotch and brandy, and as you can see, pa can't get it to her at the moment,"
"Well my brother never could feed the dogs when he was upstairs tearing apart Colta, but he managed!"
"Well I'm sorry to say this Scallop, but I don't have a brother who dominated everything he touches," Scallop laughed with a long chuckled, and undid her bun. She shook her head around, watching her green hair flow, while Salmon ignored her for she was rather irritating and annoying.
"God dammit Scallop! Just leave!"
"As you wish."
