My Charcoal Virus - Survival is Magic
Prologue
Load Full Story"What the fuck are you doing soldier?!". That's the last thing I heard before I jumped out of the C-7 helicopter with my flight suit on and with a parachute on my back. As I dove down, I pulled the string hanging out of the middle of the sleeve of my left arm, feeling a sudden rush of wind rush past my face. With my flight suit active, I soared down about 100 yards, before hearing a loud crack. With hesitation, I flip over and see the chaos that caused the crack. A large black missile-shaped object is sticking out of a large shrapnel bit of the helicopter that I was in mere seconds ago. I should have warned them, I should have. I saw it coming, I dove out because I was afraid, and now they're dead, and it's all my fault. Worry about it later, I told myself. Focus on the task at hand, I think to myself as I flip back over and realize all that happened in mere seconds, although I feel like I've been falling for an hour. But then I remember or job and I give myself a full objective to accomplish. All of a sudden, I see a large man with a wing suit like mine approaching fast, but he's not one of us. I tell that he's an enemy by the small part of his skin that is showing. The skin showing on his face and hands are charcoal black, as if he was just through a fire. As he is rapidly approaching, I realize what I must do. I pull the revolver out of my belt buckle and I make sure it is fully loaded. As I wait for the man to approach so I know I won't miss, I see the flag of the United States on the side of it, others would ask why I have it printed on the side of my Mark-5 Executioner, it has no meaning to most, due to the fact that at the beginning if the epidemic, all of the countries put their differences beside them for a common purpose. Yeh, I know, it sounds A LOT like that movie from 2013, Pacific Rim, but whatever, DEAL WITH IT. But it has meaning to me, that meaning is Freedom, I dream of the day when this epidemic is over and we are all free and able to do what we want. Well and because we still use them as symbols for our divisions in the military. Closer... Closer.... Now!!! The man is finally close enough, and I fire my gun, sending a bullet straight through the front of his head and into his possessed brain. When I think it's over, I realize its not. The body of the man collides with me, knocking me off my desired course. Before pushing the body away, I look at the mans arm and realize that he is the Afghanistan division. But I also notice something different, that I have never noticed before. The mans black skin turned grey, then normal Arabian color, and then ghost white. I push his body away, and continue downward on course. Getting near the ground, I open up my parachute and get ready for landing. Touch down. As we say in the military, I am oscar mike on the way to the crash zone. I am oscar mike to save my girlfriend.
