Red Faction PonyVille

Celestia was sitting in her Throne room staring at the strange rock that came from the mirror portal. She didn't know where it came from nor why it was there in the first place. She studied the rock further, it was a dusty rust color and it was surprisingly light for it's decent size and shape. It came from the portal, but the thing is, the portal doesn't open for another 3 moons! Celestia was concerned. What if this threatens equestria?! What if this is too powerful to handle?! Celestia knew what she must do, she looked at the rock, then back at the portal. It's time to investigate.

Twilight was reading a book on anthropology when she heard an inflamed burp and in her peripheral vision she saw a green light fade in and fade out. No sooner a chubby purple dragon called her name.

"Twilight, you have a letter from Princess Celestia!" He cried out of breath as he was if he was running, but he wasn't.

"Everything alright Spike?" Twilight questioned him, concerned for his health.

"Yeah, it-it's just, I don't know! Here's your letter Twilight." He gasped, while handing her a neatly wrapped scroll with the usual red wax seal and red ribbon.

Twilight read out loud: "To my most faithful student Twilight Sparkle, I request you and your friends bring the Elements of Harmony and meet me in the throne room at the castle by tonight by Dusk."

Twilight rolled the scroll to its original state and put it with the others in the archive. She sighed, she was still exhausted from the last task the mares had to do, which was stop Discord from causing chaos that would damage Equestria forever. Twilight levitated the chest which contained the elements and and gathered all of her friends.

"So what are we doing Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked at the Train station.

"We're going to see Celestia about an important matter." Twilight reminded.

Pinkie Pie began bouncing around Twilight asking a million questions falling under the same category. 'when are we leaving?' 'what does Celestia want?' 'How many buttons are in an automobile' you know, Pinkie stuff. They stood there chatting for a good long while until the Canterlot Express arrived. By the time the Canterlot Express arrived, the mane 6 were well beyond tired and slept the whole ride, except for Twilight, who brought the anthropology she was previously studying with.

When the girls arrived they went straight to the castle gates.A Royal guard approached the six mares "Halt, who goes there?!" The guard immediately recognized Twilight and the rest of them. "Oh...My apologies, you my enter." The guard then signaled another one in a watch tower, who then disappeared for a good minute or so. Not long after the guard disappeared he came back and the elegant gates flew open. Twilight, AJ, RD, Fluttershy, Pinky Pie, and Rarity approached the throne room in an orderly fashion.

By the time they reached the throne room, Celestia was waiting for them. She sat in the Sun throne staring at a reddish rock.

"You summoned us Princess?" Twilight asked.

"Yes I did, Twilight I have a very important task for you." Celestia told Twilight. "Today, a stone came through the mirror portal, but the thing is, the mirror pool doesn't open for another three moons. Now I studied this material, I've never seen anything like it." The Princess looked at Twilight. "Now I know this is a lot to take in at such short notice, but I need you and your friends to go through the portal and see what's on the other side, but I warn you once you enter you won't be able to come back for a long time."

Twilight thought long and hard about this. Her and her friends whisked off into the unknown, possibly never coming back. She looked at the girls and was about to say something before speaking, Rainbow Dash beat her to it.

"If you go, I go!" Rainbow Dash said with the usual confidence in her voice. The rest of the girls agreed except for Fluttershy.

"Bu-but what if there are dragon's there?!" Fluttershy cried.

AppleJack reassured Fluttershy "Sugar cube, even if there wus, ah don't think they would be in our way!"

Celestia intervened the discussion. "The choice is entirely up to you."

Twilight looked at Rarity, who hasn't said a thing for the whole conversation. "What about you Rarity?"

Rarity looked down and smiled "Where ever you go darling, I go!"

Celestia walked them over toward the mirror portal. Twilight took a deep breath and looked at Celestia. Celestia gave a reassuring nod and with that the girls walked single-filed into the mirror portal. Celestia sighed and thought out loud. "I hope you make it out Twilight." She then walked to the giant window which was left from her throne and began lowering the sun.

Mason sat back in his chair twiddling his thumbs. He was bored and hasn't had much action since the EDF were overthrown. He looked over at Sam. Sam was the love of his life, when he first joined the Red Faction, he was out for revenge. In the old days of Mars, the EDF were heroes, then all this crazy shit happened and it turned from 'Sunshine and Rainbows to Dictatorship'. He really didn't mind the EDF until they gunned his brother down right in front of him. After that the Commander was killed and he became the new commander after liberating Mars. Now all he does everyday is mine ore and help out with petty jobs like a few EDF rats still left on Mars or a drunken brawl. He missed the golden age when he would raid EDF supply lines or liberate whole towns for a cause.

"Alec, Twitch said we have a wierd reading on the radar, near Oasis, do you want to go check things out?" Called a familiar voice, it was Sam.

Mason sat up. "Yeah sure, I need some practice" He agreed, stretching. He got up, put his gear on, tied the red cloth around his left forearm that his brother gave him, and grabbed his Nano-Rifle. After gearing up he hopped in a buggy and started driving. Mason had time to think, after all he was in Parker Sector and Oasis was a ways away. He arrived in Oasis and carried on foot. His scanners eventually led him to a small crater. But what shocked him was the fact that there was a shattered, regal themed mirror and six technicolor ponies laying unconscious.
