Derpy's Derpy Life

It was a beautiful day in Cloudsdale. The birds were chirping, the sky was clear, and......

“Derpy, what are you doing?" said Rainbow Dash.

The light blue, rainbow-maned pegasus pony was enjoying bathing in the sunlight, until Derpy came along. She was dropping her mail everywhere! Derpy flew down and landed on the cloud next to Rainbow clumsily, scattering more mail all over the clouds.

“I just don't know what went wrong!" said Derpy.

Rainbow Dash had heard this before. She just rolled her eyes and continued reading the newspaper.  Derpy nosed through the mail, and then her eyes lit up as she found a small package.

“Delivery for Raaaaaiiiiinnnbooow Daaaaaash!" the grey mare called out.

Derpy, I'm right here, Rainbow thought, but kept the words to herself.

Derpy trotted over to RD, and placed the package next to her. Rainbow picked the package up eagerly, and looked inside.

“Sweeet! The next Daring Do book!" she said excitedly. “Thanks, Derpy. You're okay."

Derpy wasn't listening, though. She was busy gathering her scattered mail.  She then flew off, actually remembering to close her pouch.

Rainbow gazed after her. “Oh, Derpy..."

She then shrugged and flipped open to the first page of her new book.

Derpy went on with her daily routine- Dropping boxes on ponies, scattering mail, and -Oh, yeah...- delivering some too.  When she finally came home, she was sweating, and her family was waiting for her.

"Dinky!" said an exhausted Derpy.  The light purple unicorn filly and the grey pegasus hugged.

Derpy loved Dinky with all of her heart. She would do anything for her.

Then her husband, Doctor Whooves, came to the door.

“Hey, sweetie.  Have a nice day at work?"

“Yeah, the usual."
