“Princess a letter for you.” Glass hoof said softly placing the rolled up parchment on her desk

“Whoever could this be from? Most of my letters are magically sent.”

“It’s from your sister Mam.”

“My sister? But she lives in the castle. Why would she send a messenger?”

“She was too tired after yesterday’s events; lowering the moon almost made her faint.”

“Curious. You are dismissed Glass.”

Glass saluted and placed another letter on her desk “I almost forgot, here is your report on the human’s progress.”

“Glass! You were read in to that operation?”

“Yes mam, they exhausted the unicorn guard and called in some of the members of the earth pony guard to cover for them.”

“On whose authority?”

“Princess Luna’s.”

“I’m reassigning you. For today you will guard my door until I am done responding to these letters. Is that clear?”

“Yes your majesty.” Glass said shutting the door behind him

Human operation #2 Codename: Retrieval

The human has continued to engage his consciousness’s counterparts and has recovered part of his soul from the monster. His instability is still too high for a direct teleportation but the former dragon king Dygon has discovered a solution to the magical barrier. The survivability projections have risen to eighty-five percent. However the likelihood of the fake pony Colgate also making the journey has also increased to eighty-five percent. Recommendations have been updated to account for these changes. The human’s name has not been retrieved.

Pacification option with highest probability of success: Hold the fake pony Colgate hostage in the castle.

Termination option: disintegration not recommended due to the projected decrease in governmental efficiency under Luna’s rule.

Observer’s notes: This human is unlike any other I’ve observed, his negative manifestation claims he would have wielded great power if his world had not been destroyed. I advise extreme caution in all dealings with him. I overheard a conversation between Luna and Dygon involving some type of ‘Creation Magic’ which I understood to be the ability to create matter that can break the accepted rules of magic. If this magic does exist I highly recommend retrieval over destruction.

“Now what could be so important that Luna had to send me a letter?”

Dearest sister

That worm Michael believes he can free Dygon of our magic. I have spent the night doing all I can to prevent it but I need you to strengthen the binding. Tomorrow I will bring the human to the castle personally; don’t worry about my absence if the word of a worm is to be believed I might have a chance to retrieve some creation magic. If our luck holds we might have enough to stabilize the elements and be rid of the need for the sacrificial ponies.

P.S. Don’t worry about the unicorn guard; they will be fine after a trip to the medical ward.

Celestia pulled out a vial of dragon blood and a vial of concentrated yellow dragon fire from under her mattress.

“This better be worth it sister.” Celestia thought out loud as she started to draw the pentagrams needed for the binding to be renewed.
