Dygon’s chambers

“It can’t be.”

Dygon ran to his nest and pulled out an old worn spell book.

“It is! That’s why I couldn’t retrieve him! Michael knew he couldn’t win in a strait fight between us, so he split the human’s soul from his consciousness! That also explains the instability of the human’s current body!”

He flipped through the pages quickly using his future sight to read faster than anypony could normally.

“Damn all these spells are for souls! No wonder I couldn’t influence anypony in that fake Equestria, He didn’t give souls to any of them!”

A unicorn guardspony walked into the room

“Is everything all right in here? I heard shouting.”

“Sorry about this.”

“What?”

Dygon reached down and syphoned all the guards’ power he could without killing him.

“New spells take so much more energy than existing one.”

He then set about creating a new magic, not one for bridging worlds, one to destroy them.
