"What a wonderful day!" The Doctor exclaimed as he stepped out of the TARDIS. "What do you think Ky?" A changeling with short orange hair stepped out.
"It's okay I guess." The Doctor rolled his eyes.
"I know will cheer you up!" It was her turn to roll her eyes. The Doctor sighed. "You can be so difficult! No matter. Say, what's your favorite princess Ky?"
"Um, Princess Luna I guess." Ky replied. "And call me Kylie!"
"Okay. Anyway, let's go to Princess Luna's past! I honestly thought you were going to say Celestia."
"Really? Funny." Kylie followed The Doctor into the TARDIS. "Never ceases to amaze me." Kylie said as she walked in.
"I don't know." The Doctor said. "Kinda gets old." Kylie laughed.
"No wonder." The Doctor smiled and rolled his eyes. The room started shaking.
"Now that never gets old." The Doctor said as the room started to calm down. The pony and the changeling both ran to the door. Outside was a beautiful sight. "Where are all the ponies?" The Doctor asked.
"Hmm." Kylie thought. She gasped. "Come on!" She grabbed The Doctor's hoof.
"Where are we going!?" He yelled as they ran. He suddenly stopped. "Oh." Kylie stopped and smiled at him. "This is going to be a exciting day isn't it?"
"Now you get it! Princess Luna's birth!" Kylie shouted. They continued running. A crowd of ponies were in front of a castle. A orange alicorn with a white horn and yellow feathers was on the main balcony.
"Welcome fillies and gentlecolts, to the birth of my new daughter, Princess Luna!" All the ponies cheered. The Doctor and Kylie out of breath, walked over.
"Phew. We didn't miss it." The Doctor said in short breaths. "Also, Ky, you might want to change to a different form."
"Oh. I probably do want to." She changed to a blue pegasus pony with yellow hair.
"You should change your hair color to orange." The Doctor said.
"Nah, orange might be my natural mane color, but it's not exactly my favorite hair color." Kylie replied as Celestia and Luna's mother walked back inside the castle. The crowd broke into several pieces as the cheered died down.
"How about we go in the castle, eh? Check out wittle Woona?" The Doctor pulled out his psychic paper. The two ponies smiled.
"Halt! Who goes there?" The guard asked when they got to the big castle doors. The Doctor held up the psychic paper.
"Time Turner and Kylie Change. Royal Filly, uh, Protectors." The Doctor and Kylie smiled. The guard looked at the paper and read it twice.
"You may go in." The pony and the disguised changeling walked in.
"This place is huge!" Kylie said, her eyes wide.
"That's the castle for you." The Doctor said with a wide smile. They wondered around a bit until they found the queen's room. Kylie knocked on the door.
"Yes?" A soft voice called.
"Royal Filly Protectors!" The Doctor replied. The same alicorn from the balcony opened the door.
"Come in." The room was painted with stars and a moon in the middle of the ceiling. "It used to be the sun in the center, but that was Celestia's room when she was a little filly." She picked up a blue filly with a light blue mane and tail. Princess Luna.
"Look how cute she is." Kylie whispered to The Doctor.
"Have you seen her magic aura? It's like Princess Twilight's." Kylie rolled her eyes.
"Regular ponies can't see 'magic aura'. Unlike you, who is from a different world, we can't see it. That or it's just you're a 'Time Lord'. Whatever that is."
"If you two are done." The queen spoke up. "And also, I would like to know your names please."
"Time Turner and Kylie Change. And yours? Um, sorry, we're from a different place." The Doctor replied to the slightly confused alicorn.
"Hmm. Queen Nova. And I must say, you two are very queer."
"You too Nova." The Doctor said with a smile. Kylie nudged him hard. "Oops. Uh, sorry." Nova laughed, smiled and put down Luna.
"You are very funny Doctor." Queen Nova laughed again. "I wish I had more friends like you. All the guards are, well, boring."
"And strict." Kylie added. Queen Nova smiled
"Very. Come over here to see and protect Luna." And with that, she walked out of the room.
Queen Nova sighed as she stepped out of her newborn filly's room. She walked down the long corridor and into her room. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her rainbow mane was droopy, her orange coat dull, her once white horn was gray, and her yellow feathers were frazzled and falling off. She didn't have bouncy hair anymore. Her beautiful magenta eyes had lost their spark. She had bags under her eyes. She was relieved when she didn't have to watch Luna anymore. Luna was tiresome, she had many royal duties, and the threats to Canterlot from her sister's kingdom was no help at all. Nova sighed and laid down on her bed. She closed her eyes and smiled. Then, since the first time ever since Luna was born, she slept.
"Mommy," a voice called outside Nova's bedroom. "wake up. Auntie Eclipse wants to see you." Nova looked at her clock. She had slept nine hours. Nova smiled.
"Celly, tell Auntie Eclipse I'll be a moment." Nova said to her daughter.
"Okay mommy." Celly replied. Nova got and grabbed her brush with her magic. She combed her frazzled mane and tail, straightened up her feathers. There were still bags under her eyes, but not a lot. She smiled, then frowned. It was time to see her sister. The sister who was sending threats. Nova put on her best smile, then headed out the door.
