The Elements of Harmony and The Princesses

Together Celestia and Luna embarked on a quest to find the white Alicorn that hid in the forest. The days and nights went by quickly due to Discord's magic. The Regal Mother continued calling to them while they slept. Due to Aeolus' kidnapping most Pegasi were unable to fly, but The Regal Mother's magic still gave the sisters the power to do so. After searching for several weeks they finally found themselves standing by the edge of a cliff in the middle of the Everfree Forest. A stone staircase led to the bottom of the Chasm, and the path led to a small cave. As Celestia and Luna got closer to the cave The Regal Mother appeared to them, but to this day is it not known what exactly she said.

Celestia stopped reading for a moment, looking towards Twilight who stared out her window. Her mind was racing.

"Princess... what did she say to you?"

The Sun Princess sighed. "I have never told anypony what she said... for over a thousand years I kept it a close guarded secret of my own. She told me that we were the world's last hope. With the other Spirits trapped by Sombra in The Celestial Plane and Starlight been banished for eternity Discord's power was soon cause the Earth to break apart and kill everypony. She explained to us how in each Spirit lies the six Elements of Harmony and Friendship. She said mortal ponies can learn how to live by the elements but could never truly represent them... But we are descendants of Nocturnal and Sol. We have ancient Spirit blood running through our veins with some help could utilize all six Elements. She used the last of her magic, to create the Tree of Harmony. Right before us a beautiful tree grew. You've seen it Twilight. As soon as it was fully grown however The Regal Mother disappeared. Her magic and life force was spent... she sacrificed herself to give us... mortal ponies the six elements, but also to transform Luna and I, We became immortal Spirits. Spirits of Night, and Day."

Twilight's whole idea on the world and what inhabited it was destroyed. She would have to start all over. Look up all the Spirits, their roles, where they came from, and where they were now!

Celestia continued reading, hoping Twilight could collect her thoughts and tell her what she was thinking.

Celestia and Luna were given six jewels of immense power. Physical forms of the Elements of Harmony. Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty, Generosity, Honesty, and Magic contained inside of six multicolored jewels, waiting to be used by ponies who could successfully represent these elements. Now armed with new power and purpose Celestia and Luna confronted Discord and with the Elements of Harmony were able to encase him in a stone prison for eternity.

Fear and Darkness, Typhoon and Sombra now without a leader fled from the world. Allowing Celestia and Luna to travel to The Celestial Plane and free Terra, Tidal, and Hex. Aeolus however was not found right away, they searched for years.

Eventually Aeolus was able to escape his prison in the Crystal Caverns since Typhoon left him unguarded. Aeolus' freedom brought allowed Pegasi to fly again as well. Ponies all over Equestria were eternally grateful to the Alicorn sisters. The Spirit sages realized these were the ponies Clover the Clever prophesied about. The Spirits of Nature and the ponies of Equestria were eager to appoint Celestia and Luna as Princesses of Equestria. They established their Castle right above the Tree of Harmony, and locked the elements away. Only to be used when the time was right. There were still two Spirits out there that needed to be stopped.

Sombra would be the first to strike. Terra soon made a discovery in the Frozen North of Equestria that only worsened Sombra's lust for power and control.

That discovery was The Crystal Empire.

Celestia shut the book and raised herself from Twilight's bed. She slowly trotted up to her window and looked out at Canterlot.

"Princess? Are you alright?" Twilight asked her.

"Yes Twilight. I just haven't thought back about the last thousand years for so long... So much happened... I met so many ponies that just are gone now. Being immortal is not an easy thing Twilight. Which is why it is not a fate I bestowed upon you, or even Cadence when I made you both Princesses." She noticed off towards the east of the Castle, a large storm cloud was brewing.

"Twilight, I must leave immediately. Continue reading, soon we will need to get together and talk more about what you have learned. Don't worry my dear, all your questions will be answered in that book." With that, Princess Celestia teleported away.

Twilight looked at the old book laying on her covers, annoying leaving a crease on the perfectly folded sheets. She lifted the book up and was about to open it again to continue reading, when the entire house started to shake under the force of intensely loud music.

"SPIIIIIIKE!!!!" Twilight yelled over the music. She got up from her bed, and marched down the stairs. She needed no distractions when she was gonna start reading the book again.
