Worlds Apart, Yet Now We Touch
Misery. Niara knows what this is. Stuck in a place simply called the Asylum since she was a little girl, Niara lives life in horrible conditions. She doesn't know why she is there. No one does, but the doctors don't care. They mistreat her, torture her. Her screams of suffering and longing only fade into the countless others that echo down the Asylum's grim hallways. All she wants is a chance to escape, to be free from all of it.
She has no friends except the walls of her cell, who talk to her in her loneliness. They tell her that one day, freedom will come to her. They promise her a better future, with real friends, and a good life. Niara is impatient for this day to come, but when it does, she is not prepared. She is not prepared for the price she has to pay in order to get her freedom. The walls she once called her friends now have turned against her, and will stop at nothing to keep her from escaping. Just when things seem hopeless, some old friends show up and help lead Niara to the light of day, but is their help enough to get Niara out of the Asylum, or will the dark corridors and haunting rooms claim them all?
