Memories that Curse Usby MidnightBlinkChaptersChapter 01Chapter 02Chapter 03Chapter 01[1] The school bell at Blake's high school rang loudly, signaling the end of Blake's Spanish class, and the start of the lunch period. Blake got up from his seat, taking his school bag with him. Fortunately, his locker was on the same floor as his classroom. Arriving at his locker, Blake opened his locker to put away his bag and take out his lunch money. When he closed his locker, he was confronted by a very annoying James. "What do you want James?" Asked Blake. James leaned on the locker beside Blake, grinning as he did so. "What? I can't visit little Blakey Wakey?" Teased James. He playfully nudged Blake's shoulder. "Can you not?" Blake was now getting annoyed. "Not what?" Asked James, who continued to push Blake. Luckily for Blake, the hallways quickly cleared, leaving the two to themselves. "Quit pushing me. You seem to like touching other men don't you?" Asked Blake. James' grin now became a blank expression. James simply laughed and pushed Blake more. "You know what? You can continue that with someone else. I'm going to go eat some lunch," Blake said. As Blake turned to walk away, he felt a hard shove from James, causing him to fall on the floor. Blake grew red with anger as James laughed. Blake got to his feet and gave James a harder shove, sending James crashing into some lockers and then falling to the floor. James got back to his feet, now angry. "So you finally gonna fight back? Thought you were too much of a pussy," James angrily said. Blake simply responded with a fist straight to the stomach of James. James groaned in pain as he now threw his fist at Blake, striking across the face. Blake fell to the floor while his cheek grew red from the fist. James walked to Blake, spitting at him as he tried to get up. "You're not worth sweating over bitch. Tell you what, when you can stop being a pussy and a freak, come back to me so we can settle this like men," James stated. He spit at Blake, who was holding his face in pain, once more and quietly walked away. Blake stood back up on his feet, still clenching his face in pain. The emotional pain hurt even worse. Fighting off some tears, he failed as a single tear spread across his face. He wiped it off and headed to lunch. Blake sat by himself at an empty table. He set down his lunch tray on the table and ate his lunch. As Blake quietly ate his lunch, he was approached by 4 guys. "What's up fag?" Asked a young boy. The rest of the boy's friends laughed at his remark. The boy sat next to Blake, taking the water bottle that lay on his tray. Blake made an attempt to take back his water bottle, but was quickly put off from doing so by a hand on his chest from the bully's friend. "Want your water back? Well here!" Said the boy. He opened the stolen water bottle and sprayed water on Blake. The others laughed at Blake as he quickly became soaked with water. Blake was now soaked in water. Growing tired of being bullied, he simply pushed the person holding him out of the way, and left the lunchroom. He made another attempt to hold back tears. He lost the battle once again. However, this time, many tears began to fall as he sobbed to himself. He slowly walked to the bathroom on the same floor as his locker. He tried his hardest to take out most of the water that soaked his clothes. Blake may have taken out most of the water, but he was still covered in water. At least it was an attempt. He walked out of the bathroom and to his locker, where he sat alone by it. As he sobbed quietly to himself, he heard footsteps coming towards him. He quickly wiped away his tears. "Too late, already saw you tear up," said the voice of Mr. Jackson, Blake's guidance counselor. "Now, would you care to explain why you're covered in water, crying, and at your locker when its time for lunch?" Blake stayed silent with his head on his knees. "Doesn't matter," Blake finally said. "Oh well it does to me," Mr Jackson responded. "I don't want to talk about it." "Why not?" "Because I said so." "*sigh* It looks like you're having a bad day." "Oh, nice observation." "Blake, I don't usually do this but, I want you to go home. You look like you want some alone time. You can pack your stuff and leave. I'll make sure your marked present in all your classes." "Really? You would do that for me?" "Yes now go on before the lunch period ends." Blake's frown turned into a smile. Mr. Jackson did the same thing and walked away. Blake quickly packed his stuff and left the school. Blake opened the door of his home and stepped inside to dead silence. Blake dropped his bag and changed his clothes in his room. Now dry, Blake lay on his bed. He didn't want to do it, but for some reason, he was forced by his mind to recall the events of the day. His neutral grin slowly turned into a frown. Blake got up to use the bathroom. When he got in, he saw his own reflection through a mirror located in the bathroom. He stared at his reflection, as if he saw a monster. Blake did his business in the bathroom and left as soon as possible. Blake walked to his room and lay on his bed. He reached for the remote next to him and turned his TV to an on demand channel. After that, he put on an episode of My Little Pony. That show had always calmed him down when he was angry. It always made him happy when he was sad.Too bad it wasn't a show that was exactly "acceptable" for a teenage boy like Blake in the eyes of others. Blake laid on his bed, watching My Little Pony for a long time. Just when he thought he heard the sound of his front door opening from his bedroom, Blake fell asleep. Blake woke up to the taste of dirt in his mouth. He quickly spit it out and rose to his feet, dusting himself off as he did so. Looking around, he noticed that he was in a dark forest. He could also see a swamp, whose water was a sickly yellow. It reeked of garbage. "Where am I?" Asked Blake. Perhaps someone decided to pull a prank on him. Maybe he sleepwalked. Whatever it was, he didn't like it. Not one bit. After an hour of wandering without a sense for direction, Blake spotted a small cottage. "Ha! That kind of looks like...no no Blake it isn't what you think it is," Blake said. He proceeded to the cottage, hoping to find someone who can help him. Had someone been there, they wouldn't exactly see the best Blake had ever been. His clothes reeked of a sickening smell, definitely from the swamp since he was there for so long. Not only that, his clothes were dirty and were stained with mud and grime. But at that moment, Blake didn't care. He just wanted to find someone and get out of there. An idea finally popped into Blake's head. "My phone!" Blake said. He quickly pulled his iPhone out, fumbling with it as he did so. He unlocked his phone and looked with horror as he found out there was no service. "Stupid Verizon not having any service here!" He put phone away and felt something else in his pocket. "Wait what's this?" Blake said, pulling the suspicious object from within his pocket. The "mysterious" object was his compact solar phone charger. Just wonderful. He has a charger for something that won't even work. Very stupid situation. Blake shook his head angrily, putting back everything into his pocket. Blake now proceeded to walk to the cottage, which he was distracted from doing with the whole phone situation. Getting closer to the cottage, he heard a voice chanting words he had never heard before. Hesitantly, Blake knocked on the door. "Just a minute my friend, for I have things to attend," said a voice from within. Blake chuckled. "Now this is really looking like what I thought it was," Blake said. He chuckled at his thought. He heard the rattling of stuff from within the home. The door opened. "AHHHH!" Screamed both Blake and a zebra in unison. "What are you for I have never see anything like you!" Said the zebra. "I would like to ask the same question!" Blake said. Blake now knew his suspicions were correct. This was Zecora. But if Zecora lived in the Everfree Forest, the that means he his in the land of Equestria. The two gazed at each other for what seemed like 4 hours, which was actually 4 minutes, trying their hardest to make sense of the situation. Finally, Zecora broke the silence. "So mysterious creature what are you for I say again have never seen you," Zecora said. Blake finally grew the courage to speak. "Well, my name is Blake and I am a human. No need to explain yourself, I already know who you are. Don't ask how but I just do," Said Blake. "Very strange I say but hurt me not I pray." Said Zecora. "Hurt you? I would never! I'm a nice guy. Well this has been fun but can you point me in the direction of Ponyville please?" "So Ponyville is what you seek, but don't be mad if the townsfolk call you a freak." "Ha! If you knew were I came from..." Said Blake. Blake waved goodbye and headed in the direction that Zecora pointed towards. All sorts of thoughts went through his mind. Should he just flat out say he knew everything about everyone like he did with Zecora? Should he lie and keep the show My Little Pony a secret? Would they even accept him for being a human? Whatever would happen, Blake was sure this wouldn't be easy. After about a half hour, Blake began to grow impatient. That is, until he saw some familiar faces on a nearby hill. Off into the distance, Blake saw a figure moving around the hill. "Twilight Sparkle," Blake whispered. He watched as Twilight Sparkle was observing the sky as if she was expecting something to come out from it. Blake ignored this and kept walking. It was not until he was a couple meters from her, that he spoke up. "Umm hello?" Blake asked. Twilight, who was facing another direction, turned around to see the human. "Oh Celestia! What the hay are you?" Asked Twilight. Blake merely stood with a nonchalant stance. "I'm Blake, a human." "A human? But those are merely myths. An old mares tale. How can you possibly exist?" "Um, because I do?" "Well how did you get here?" "That's the thing. I don't know. I woke up and here I am, in the land of Equestria." "Wait a minute, you just said you weren't from here. How did you know you were in Equestria?" "Oh...crap. I guess I'm just gonna have to spill the beans." "What do you mean?" "Look, where I come from, this whole world is widely known." "But how?" "Well we have a device that plays different...err...worlds and can show what is happening in all of them," Blake said. Blake tried his best to make this not sound THAT creepy. "So you can see other worlds through a device you humans built?" Asked Twilight. "Basically. So I already know everything about you and your other friends. Sorry if it sounds creepy, but that's the truth." "Wow...I didn't even know that was possible! This is such a huge discovery! First we have a mythological creature and now we know they are capable of seeing other worlds! This will make an excellent report to the Princess!" Blake stood there as Twilight talked to herself, asking questions to herself on what she may discover. "Twilight?" Blake interrupted. Twilight faced back at Blake. "Yes?" "As much as I like this world and all, you think you might have an idea on how I can get back to my world?" Blake said. As much as he really wanted to stay here, this was not his world. He doesn't belong in Equestria. "Well I'm not even sure how you got here. We can figure this out but its getting kind of late. Would you like to come stay with me?" "Oh wow. You would do that for me?" "Of course. Now just follow me." "Alright. Also, thank you." Blake said. Twilight smiled and led Blake to her home. It took a while to get to Twilight's place. However, when they did, it was already nighttime. Entering Twilight's home, Blake could see Spike, who was happily baking a cake with some gems in it. "Hi Spike, we have a visitor. His name is Blake." Said Twilight. "Oh okay. Lemme just...what is that thing?" Asked Spike, pointing at Blake. "His name is Blake." Said Twilight. "He's Blake? Well this isn't the weirdest thing I've been through. Hi Blake!" Said Spike. "Whats up?" Uttered Blake. Spike, shocked that this creature can talk, raised his hand to shake the creature's hand. Blake happily returned the gesture. "Blake what are you?" Asked Spike. "Oh well I'm a human," Blake responded. Spike turned his head in wonder. This human was nothing Spike had ever seen before. "Well I need to go now. I'm getting really tired. I'll see you tomorrow," said Spike. "Bye Spike," Said both Twilight and Blake. Spike made his way upstairs, leaving the two alone. "Well you can sleep in the guest room upstairs. It already has everything you need so don't worry about it. You should get some rest because tomorrow I'll see if I can introduce you to my friends. Good night," said Twilight. "Good night and thank you. For everything," said Blake. Blake headed upstairs and made his way to the guest room. When he had found it, he laid in his bed, pondering his thoughts to see what his next course of action would be. What would he do? Would it even be possible for him to get back home? Does he even want to go back home? The world he came from was terrible. However, it just didn't feel right to Blake to come to a world of peace and friendship with a background of having come from a world of hate and tragedy and suffering. All these thoughts went through Blake's mind as he slowly drifted off into a deep sleep. The next day, Blake awoke to 6 ponies staring at him. These 6 ponies were Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle. They were all staring at him as he rose to his feet. He then decided to break the silence. "What's with the awkward silence?" Asked Blake. Everyone except for Twilight gasped. "It can talk?!" Asked the 5 ponies in unison. "It? Mind referring to me as Blake?" Responded Blake. Twilight walked forward. "Girls I thought I already told you. I already said HE can talk," said Twilight. "What exactly are you?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "I'm a human," responded Blake. "Twilight also mentioned something 'bout you knowing every bit about us? Is that true friend?" Asked Applejack. "Yes it is true Applejack, Element of Honesty," said Blake. Applejack took a step back in shock. It was obvious that the others were just as shocked as Applejack was. "So let me get this straight, your a human from another world that somehow knows everything about us, but you don't know how you got here?" Asked Rainbow Dash. It was clear the 5 ponies would not stop until all their questions have been answered. "Pretty much. Well if you need me, I'll be looking for somewhere to stay while I am living in Ponyville," said Blake. "Wait, why don't you just stay here with me in the library?" Asked Twilight. "Because I'm not a free-loader. It's alright I can find some place to sleep." "I can always tell Princess Celestia about your presence and see what I can do to help you get a home," Twilight said, now turning to Spike, "Spike, take a letter," Spike drew a quill and paper and nodded when he was ready to take a note. While Twilight was stating her letter to Spike, who was writing every word of it, The rest of the ponies continued talking. "Oh oh oh! We should have a welcoming party for Blake! It'll be super duper awesome!" Said Pinkie Pie. "Wait a minute, how can we even trust you now? We just met you! I can't trust somepony we just met!" Said Rainbow Dash. She crossed her arms while in midair. "Rainbow Dash, you mustn't forget what happened with Zecora. We 'judged a book by its cover' and almost missed the opportunity to make a new friend. This is the exact situation. Give him a chance," Rarity protested. Rainbow simply huffed and looked the other direction. She faced back at Blake. "I'm keeping my eye on you buster! You try anything and I'll give you the pounding of your life!" Rainbow Dash shook her hoof at Blake. If she had fingers, she would most likely flip Blake off. Blake shook his head. So this is how his favorite pony was going to treat him. Blake had always been a fan of Rainbow Dash based on the show. However, it seemed she was being a jerk in real life. "Whatever you say," Blake said. The other 4 ponies shook their heads in disappointment at Rainbow Dash. Finally, Twilight came back. "Alright I just sent a letter to Princess Celestia about your arrival and I should be getting a reply any minute-" Twilight was interrupted. "TWILIGHT! You got a letter from the Princess," Spike interrupted. Twilight grabbed the letter with her magic and personally read it. "My faithful student Twilight, since you have told that the human is not hostile, I will allow him to stay in Equestria. I have made arrangements for him to stay in a vacant home around Ponyville. I will come by in 3 days to see this human for myself. Please accommodate the human, as I am very busy at the moment." Dictated Twilight. "So that's whats gonna happen. You now have a home here in Ponyville." "Wow! Thank you Twilight!" Blake thanked everyone...everypony? Everypony smiled, except for Rainbow Dash. "I'm going to plan the super duper best welcome party ever!" Pinkie Pie said as she dashed for who knows where. "Blake darling, you must let me make you some new clothes. Those look so terrible!" Rarity said. Blake nodded in agreement. Rarity smiled and left as well. "I'll see you later at the welcoming party. I need to go do some more chores," Applejack said, leaving as well. "I need to go check on my animals, if you don't mind. I'll see you later Blake," Fluttershy said, also leaving. Rainbow didn't bother to say anything before she flew away. Suddenly, Spike burped up a new letter. "Oh! This is the deed for your new home," Spike said. "I guess I'll leave then. I should go make myself at home. I'll see you guys later," Blake took the deed, folding it and putting it in his pocket. He waved goodbye and went to the address on the deed. It took a while for Blake to get to his home. On his way to Ponyville, it seemed as though the residents already heard of the strange new creature. Perhaps Pinkie Pie had already given the party invitations. If so, then Pinkie must be really fast. Finally, Blake had made his way to his home. It was a rather big home, looking more like a mansion then a regular home. Stepping inside, he could see a living room and kitchen combined. There was a staircase near the back. Going up the stairs, he saw 2 rooms. One was a master bedroom and the other a guest room. There were connected with a hallway. Everything in his home was already complete. It already had furniture and was well stocked with food. They sure did know how to accommodate new arrivals. Blake spent the next hour rearranging things in his home so it was more comfortable. After he did so, he sat on his couch. "Now where is the damn TV remote?" Blake asked. He wasted 5 minutes of his time trying to find a remote. Finally, reality hit him. "Oh wait. No TV here. Oh...right..." Blake grunted in disapproval. He was now obligated to go outside and find something to do. During Blake's little dilemma, a pink card slipped from the bottom of his front door. Followed by it was the sound of hooves moving away from his door. Blake opened his door, but saw nothing. He then looked down to see an invitation to a "Welcome the Human!" party. Opening up the invitation, confetti popped and made a mess of the floor. Blake could tell by the invitation that his party would be in 30 minutes at Twilight's library. Blake could hear the sound of music roaring from Twilight's library. Ponies were scattered throughout the perimeter. There was probably even more inside the library. As Blake got closer to the library, he could see ponies waving their hooves at him in delight. They were very trusting. Blake happily waved back and made his way in the library. "Shout out to the newcomer that just walked in! Let me hear you scream!" Screamed Vinyl from behind a DJ table near the back of the library. Everypony immediately began to scream and stomp their hooves as music roared from 2 enormous speakers. Blake felt weird being in the spotlight, and he liked it. Everypony started to dance, following them was Blake. This continued for the next half hour. Everything seemed to be going well, that is, until a pegasus stomped into the room. "Everypony stop!" Screamed Rainbow Dash at the top of her lungs. The music scratched to a stop and everything turned quiet. Coming from Applejack, Rarity, Twilight, Pinkie pie, and Fluttershy were the whispers of "uh-oh". "Why are you all willing to trust him so easily? Don't you see what he is trying to do? He's trying to get our trust so that he can do evil things afterwards! He's playing all of you like fools!" The whole library grew silent. Blake could feel everypony's eyes shifting a cold glare at him. It was bad enough everyone in his world hated him, now everypony in this world was going to hate him and it would all be because of Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash, why are you saying these things?! Why do you hate me so much? You know none of that is true!" Screamed Blake. "Don't play stupid with me Blake, if that even is your real name!" Responded Rainbow Dash. "It is my real name! Why do you keep on thinking I'm evil!? Why can't you just stop saying stuff like this?!" "Because you're evil! You're just a freak who wants to come into our world to invade!" Said Rainbow Dash. Blake had heard enough. Tears began to form in his eyes. Battling against his own tears was too hard to do as everypony now saw Blake crying. No sound formed from Blake, but a lot of tears started falling from his eyes. "So that's what you think of me?" Asked Blake. Rainbow Dash nodded. "I thought I wasn't going to have to deal with bullies in this world. Guess I was wrong," Blake started to sob heavily as he ran out of the library, leaving everypony glaring at Rainbow Dash. Everypony seemed to shake their head in disappointment at Rainbow Dash, knowing she made the newcomer cry. They left slowly, making sure to give Rainbow Dash a glare of disgust. Rainbow Dash didn't mind. She was sure she was right. It wouldn't matter to her if all of Equestria hated her, as long as she was sure no human would harm her friends. The library was now cleared. All that was left were the decorations and 5 angry ponies. "Rainbow Dash! What the hay was that?! Why in the name of Celestia did you do that?! You ruined the welcoming party and made poor Blake cry!" Stated Applejack. "Oh come on! You can totally see that Blake is evil!" Said Rainbow Dash. "No Rainbow Dash! The only one I see that is being evil is you!" Stated Twilight. Rainbow Dash glared in surprise at her friend. "I simply cannot believe you would do something like this! For you stoop so low as to ruin Blake at his own welcoming party...it's just disgusting," said Rarity. "Rainbow Dash how could you be such a bully?" Said an angry Fluttershy. "Super duper mean!" Said Pinkie Pie. After leaving some more choice words, the five ponies left the library. Rainbow Dash looked back at her friends statements. Were her friends possibly right? Could she have been wrong? Was Blake...actually not evil? It took a while for Rainbow Dash to snap out of her childish form and now regretted what she had done. She had lost the chance to lose a friend and was now going to lose more. As much as she hates to admit she's wrong, there is no no choice but to say sorry to Blake, who ran off to who knows where. She was determined to find Blake and say sorry. Blake ran in a random direction. He knew he wouldn't be welcomed into Ponyville without one pony protesting. First, he couldn't have nothing but enemies in his own world and now he has one here. Could nothing go right? Thoughts circled through his mind as he ran and ran. After a while Blake found himself in a forest. It was extremely dark, but the moon offered some light, allowing Blake to see. This did not stop Blake though. He continued on his path. Mud sticked to Blake's shoes at every step. It smelled horrid. Blake knew he was in the Everfree forest. He didn't care what ponies said about it. He just continued walking. After 10 minutes Blake finally stopped his journey. He was getting tired if just wandering pointlessly. He sat on a nearby tree stump. He figured he could take a break and then get back to running. He listened quietly for the sound of anything. He could not hear anything. Suddenly however, he heard the cracking of twigs behind him. He turned to the sound to reveal a small white cat. "Aww it's so cute!" Exclaimed Blake. The cat glared blankly at Blake. Out of nowhere, a black aurora surrounded it and its shape turned from a cat, to a creepy looking tiger. "Okay so maybe not so cute. AHH!" *ROAR* "Blake please open the door. I'm sorry for what happened. I need to talk with you face to face," said Rainbow Dash, who was knocking the door of Blake's home. No response. Rainbow Dash figured Blake just didn't want to talk with her. For 10 minutes, Rainbow Dash banged on Blake's door. Finally, she got tired of waiting. "That's it, I'm coming in!" Said Rainbow Dash. She bucked the door open and went inside. "Wow this is a nice place," whispered Rainbow Dash. She searched the home for any sign of Blake. Unfortunately, she could find anything. When all hope was lost, Rainbow Dash heard a roar coming from the Everfree forest. It was very hard to catch but it was audible. Rainbow Dash hoped she would find Blake near the sound. However, it would mean finding out what that roaring sound was. It didn't matter, she had a friendship to patch. She dashed out of Blake's home and headed in the direction of the roar. "Kitty no!" Blake screamed as the tiger pounced at it. Blake dodged it with a dive to the right. He got to his feet and ran. Unfortunately, the tiger was faster. Blake attempted to lose it by turning and jumping, but it was futile. He ran and ran and for a minute, it seemed as though it was Temple Run. Unfortunately, Blake turned into a dead end. "Oh no damn it!" Blake said as he searched for a way out. There was no way out. He was now pursued slowly by the tiger. A wall of rocks blocked Blake from backing away any longer. He was now paralyzed with fear as the tiger continued to slowly walk towards him. It seemed as though he was going to die. "Hey, leave him alone!" Said a voice. Blake and the tiger turned to the voice to reveal Rainbow Dash, standing on top of a stack of rocks. The tiger roared once again. It would not stop. Rainbow Dash flew at the tiger at an astonishing speed, hitting the tiger and forcing it to be thrown a couple of feet to the right. "Rainbow Dash what are you doing here?" Asked Blake, who did not forget what happened. "No time to explain, hop on my back so we can get out of here!" Said Rainbow Dash. It was going to be awkward, but there was no choice for Blake. The tiger was getting up, stumbling as it did so due to Rainbow Dash's punch. When Blake finally got on, Rainbow Dash flew away, leaving the tiger. When he coast was clear and they were out of the Everfree forest, Rainbow Dash landed on a hill. Blake got off Rainbow Dash and stepped on the hill, thankful that he was not holding on for his life. Blake turned away from Rainbow Dash. "Uh...thanks..." Said Blake. "Your welcome," responded Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash wanted badly to say sorry, but it was hard for her to say it. Blake turned to walk away. This was now or never for Rainbow Dash. "Wait," said Rainbow Dash. "What?" Asked Blake. "I-I'm sorry for what I did at the party." "..." "It was wrong of me to do what I did, especially at your party. And I'm also sorry for being a jerk to you since you got here. You probably will hate me still but I just want to let you know, I'm sorry," Rainbow Dash said. Blake was shocked at this. As Rainbow Dash turned to fly off, Blake stopped her, with a hug. Rainbow Dash was caught off guard with the hug, but did not hesitate to return the friendly gesture. "Thank you," Blake said. He continued to hug Rainbow Dash. "Now, there is a party that never finished. Let's see if Pinkie Pie can get everypony back." Rainbow Dash nodded and they walked the whole way to Ponyville. Music roared in the library as ponies danced to the music Vinyl was playing through her two enormous speakers. Pinkie Pie had managed to gather everypony back to the party. Everypony forgave Rainbow Dash for what she did. They partied hard for a long time. Blake had continued to sit on the couch, talking it up with the ponies that conversed with him. Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack danced while Pinkie Pie served snacks. Rainbow Dash was helping Vinyl with the music. Spike laid on the floor passed out with diamonds in his hand. All was good in Ponyville. Blake's first day was good in Equestria. Chapter 02[2] Blake woke up the next day with a severe headache. He couldn't recall any alcoholic drinks being served though. He rose from his bed and proceeded to his door, tempted to have a stroll around Ponyville. Although by the time he reached his door, somepony was already knocking. "Blake you in there?" Asked a voice which sounded like Twilight. More knocking could be heard. "I'm coming," replied Blake. Blake opened his door. "What's up?" "Well I was wondering that now that you've settled in Ponyville, I could interview you for research," replied Twilight. "Well I was about to go outside for a stroll but sure," said Blake. Blake invited Twilight in his home. They sat around the living room. "Ask away," said Blake. Twilight nodded in response. "Okay so first, what is the name of the place you live in?" Asked Twilight. "Well I live in New York. The country is called the United States of America." "How old are you?" "17." "Does your world use any magic or do they fly?" "No, but our technological innovations make up for that." "What kind of technology do you use?" Asked Twilight. Blake went into his pockets to pull out his iPhone and showed it to Twilight. Twilight lifted it with her magic and studied it. "That's my cell-phone. It lets me talk with anyone anywhere and anytime. It let's me use the internet, which is sort of like a huge database of information that can be accessed at anytime. I can play games, take photos, and a whole lot of other things," said Blake. "Can I see how it works?" Asked Twilight. Blake nodded. Twilight handed the phone back to Blake. He then turned on his phone, revealing a wallpaper that he didn't remember putting on. "What the hell? I don't remember setting a photo of the group and I as my lock-screen," said Blake. "Look at the photo, that must have been taken yesterday at the party!" Said Twilight. "Makes sense. Anyway so this screen is known as the lock-screen. It protects anyone else from using my iPhone." "How?" "Because when I swipe the screen, it does this. See? It asks for a passcode. Only I know the passcode." "What's the code?" "0-1-0-8. I have no trouble telling you ponies because I know you won't steal my stuff." "What's the significance of the code?" "It's my birthday. January 8." "So after you enter the code what happens?" "Oh well lemme enter it...alright so now this is the home screen. I can access applications from here." "Ooh click on Music." "Sure. Alright now from here I can access songs I put on my phone. Wanna hear one?" "Sure," replied Twilight. Blake clicked on a song called Headstrong by Trapt. "Do all humans listen to this kind of music?" "Not every human listens to it," replied Blake. Blake went further on into details about his phone and its capabilities. It took a while for Twilight to understand all of its capabilities. But in time, she understood. Afterwards, Blake went into further detail about economics, politics, culture, and social aspects of his world. Twilight was taken aback by everything. This was all so new to her. Both civilizations had many differences. However, she was also surprised by how many similarities here were. After all was said and done, it was five in the afternoon. The two had wasted the morning and a good part of the afternoon talking. By the time they were done, Twilight had dozens of pages worth of information. "And that's all I know about crystal meth," said Blake. They had been discussing the harmful drugs people put into their bodies. "This'll be a good report to the Princess. By the way, how do you know about crystal meth?" Asked Twilight. She was shocked about Blake's knowledge of the chemical composition of crystal meth and how it was made. "Well when you live in the worst part of New York, you hear a lot of crazy shit. That and theres a show called Breaking Bad that covers some things about it," replied Blake. "Have you ever-" "No. I would never put that crap into my body," Blake interrupted. "Your knowledge of it still shocks me," said Twilight. Blake nodded. "Well anyway, we are done with this interview." "Finally! How long have we...we've been here 9 hours?!" Said Blake. "I know it was short," said Twilight. "9 hours is short for you? Holy hell you would have loved to meet Dr. Kakashi," said Blake. He chuckled at his doctor's name. As cool as his last name was, Dr. Kakashi talked forever and went on and on with pointless stuff. Blake remembered how he would practically sleep with his eyes open in front of him while Dr. Kakashi rambled on. "Whose that?" "Oh uh don't worry about it. He was just my doctor," said Blake. As Twilight and Blake stood to leave, the two heard a scream. "Look out!" Said a familiar voice. Following it was a crashing sound through Blake's door. "The hell was that?" Asked Blake. The two raced towards the crash site and followed the path of destruction that led to none other than Rainbow Dash. She quickly rose to the ground and met up with Blake and Twilight. Blake simply said,"Well thanks for making a mess of the place." "Heh-heh sorry. I was practicing some moves while flying here and I guess I lost control," said Rainbow Dash. "You guess? Whatever it is, why were you coming here in the first place?" Asked Twilight. Rainbow Dash reached into her saddlebag and took out a newspaper with her mouth. She walked up to Blake, who took the newspaper from her mouth. "Read it," said Rainbow Dash. Blake gazed at the newspaper and began saying it out loud. "What was thought to be nothing but a mere myth has now been spotted in Ponyville. A human by the name Blake has appeared in Equestria. A picture of the human shows that this creature is extremely different from anything anypony has seen. Princess Celestia says she will be visiting the human tomorrow," said Blake. Blake glanced at the picture that was included with the article. It must have been a picture taken at the party because the atmosphere of the picture looked so familiar. In the picture, Blake was dancing with Rarity while Spike was on a couch eating gems. "So? It's a newspaper article with me in it. This was bound to happen." "Well either way I thought you should know. Hey, you doing anything? Also, why haven't I seen you all day?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Well I'm free right now and I was busy the whole day with Twilight. She wanted to interview me," replied Blake. "And we are done. I have to go home and start writing my report. I'll see you two later," said Twilight. Rainbow Dash and Blake waved Twilight goodbye as she left. "So now I'm free," said Blake. Blake began to clean up what Rainbow Dash messed up. "Heh-heh lemme help you with that," said Rainbow Dash. It took about 5 minutes of cleaning up. "Welp, looks like we're done. Thanks for the help by the way," said Blake. Rainbow Dash nodded. "So what do you want to do?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Well I kinda just want to walk around," said Blake. "I'll join you," said Rainbow Dash. Blake nodded as they both exited the home. They wandered around Ponyville for a bit. It was quiet the whole time. None had decided to talk, that is, until Rainbow Dash broke the silence. "So what is that thing around your neck?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Oh this thing?" Asked Blake. He nearly forgot that he even wore it, as he has had it on for a long time. It was merely a pendant with two wings wrapped around a black star. "Yeah, it looks cool!" Said Rainbow Dash. "Oh well uhm, I got this a while back when I was uh..." "When you were what?" "It's sort of a personal thing," said Blake. Blake took off his necklace and gazed at it. Images of painful memories crossed his mind, making him clench his pendant in his fist tightly. "Uh Blake?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Blake's mind stopped wandering and came back to reality. "Oh sorry. I sorta zoned out," said Blake. "It's fine if you don't wanna talk about it," said Rainbow Dash. Blake nodded and put his necklace back on. They continued to walk. "So what do you do for fun?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Well I would usually played video games," said Blake. "What are those?" "Oh well how about I just show you?" Asked Blake. Blake took out his iPhone. "Ooh is that the thing you took out during the party?" Asked Rainbow Dash. She must have been referring to when Blake took the picture that was now his lock screen. He nodded in response, unlocking the phone and clicking on Temple Run. Rainbow Dash watched intensely as Blake avoided obstacles and ran. "This game is called Temple Run, the point is to just dodge obstacles and avoid being eaten by monsters," said Blake. "That looks like what I would imagine a Daring Do book to be like!" Said Rainbow Dash. Of course she would say something like that. "Well other video games are much better than this," said Blake. "Compared to this, other video games are—Damn it!" Blake ran into a tree. "What's wrong?" "I lost," Blake said. He turned off his phone and put it back in his pocket. "So what's next?" "I have no idea," said Rainbow Dash. A second later both stomachs rumbled. "I guess we know where we're going next," said Blake. The two wandered around Ponyville, scouting a good place to eat. They finally found somewhere good and walked into the restaurant. "Well this place looks fancy," said Blake. All around the restaurant, there were ponies in fancy get-ups. "I'm not sure I'm gonna like it here. I hate fancy shmancy places," said Rainbow Dash. Blake couldn't agree more. "Let's book it then. I saw someplace back that we could—" "Rainbow Dash? Blake? What are you two doing here?" Asked a voice. Blake and Rainbow Dash looked around until they spotted the source of the voice. It was Rarity. Sitting with her was an unrecognized stallion. "Oh hey Rarity. What's up?" Asked Rainbow Dash. They walked towards Rarity and the stallion. "What are you two doing here?" Asked Rarity. "You realize this is a couples restaurant, right?" "What?!" Said Rainbow Dash and Blake in unison. "There was a sign at the front door," said Rarity. The stallion did not talk the entire time. He just watched what was going down. "I had no idea," said the two in unison. "Why are you copying what I am saying?" They said again. "No, you're copying me!" They said again. "Stop copying me!" They said once again. They looked at each others eyes and started laughing. Rarity giggled at the sight. "Well we'll be on our way. Wait, Rarity, when you have some spare time, you think you could make me some new clothes?" Asked Blake. "Well of course Blake. I was going to make some anyway," said Rarity. "Simply stop by anytime and I'll take your measurements." "Alright thanks. We'll see you later!" Said Blake. Rainbow Dash and Blake walked out of the restaurant and proceeded going through Ponyville. "So where do we eat?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "I have no idea, how about that place over there?" Asked Blake. Blake pointed a finger at a restaurant that looked nice. "Oh yeah, I missed that one," said Rainbow Dash. The two headed towards the restaurant. Going inside, they were greeted by a waiter who happily sat them down. Blake looked at the menu and desperately tried to find something that he could eat. "What are you eating?" Asked Blake. "I'm having the hay fries. You?" Replied Rainbow Dash. "Well I can't exactly eat anything here," Blake said. Blake shrugged his shoulders. "Oh what the hell, I'll just try the hay fries. Who knows, I might be able to digest it." "You sure? We can always try other restaurants until we find one that has something you can eat," responded Rainbow Dash. Blake shook his head. "It's fine. Let's just test this out," said Blake. The waiter appeared a couple seconds later. "What will you two be ordering?" The waiter asked. "We'll have the hay fries," said Blake. The waiter nodded and used his magic to levitate a pencil and mini-notebook and scribbled on it. He left afterwards. The two talked about random things until the food came back. "Your food," said the waiter, who held the plates of food with his magic. The two thanked the waiter and began to eat. Rainbow Dash ate normally as Blake took a hay fry and examined it. "You going to experiment with it or eat it?" Asked Rainbow Dash, who recently swallowed some food. Blake looked at Rainbow Dash then glared back at the fry. "*Gulp* Here goes nothing," said Blake. Blake took the fry and put it in his mouth. As he chewed, he immediately spit it out. "Damn it, guess I can't eat what you ponies eat." "That sucks, now if you aren't gonna eat those fries..." Said Rainbow Dash. Blake pushed his plate towards Rainbow Dash, who gladly took it. Blake watched as Rainbow Dash ate both meals. For an athlete, Rainbow Dash sure ate freely. After a couple of minutes of eating and talking, the two paid for their meal and left the restaurant. Blake's stomach grumbled, but he could deal with that later. "So now what do we do?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Blake shrugged and kept walking in a random direction. Rainbow Dash followed and they both walked in the random direction. The two walked for what seemed like an hour, pretty much because it was an hour. They talked more in depth about what they did for fun. "Roller-coasters sound awesome!" Said Rainbow Dash. Blake had gotten done explaining what roller-coasters were. "They are. It's fun to be on 'em. The best ones are at a place called Six Flags. They go fast and they are really big. I remember my first time on one. I ended up vomiting, partly because I ate beforehand," said Blake. "Nice job," responded Rainbow Dash. "It's getting pretty late now, I should head home. I'll see you tomorrow." "Alright then. See you later," replied Blake. Rainbow Dash flew off into the distance leaving Blake to himself. He made his way back home. Chapter 03[3] “Blake wake up,” said a familiar voice. Blake groaned and opened his eyes to see Twilight. “Twilight, what in the world are you doing here?” Asked Blake. Blake rubbed his eyes some more and sat on his bed. “Well we're here to interview you some more,” said Twilight. "We?” Asked Blake. With this, Blake paid more attention to the ponies in his room to see Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Blake immediately got up from his bed and bowed to the Princesses. “Hello Blake, no need for formalities,” said Princess Celestia. “Indeed. You may rise,” said Princess Luna. Blake rose up. "So first things first, how did you guys get in my house?" Asked Blake. "Well we knocked for a while but you didn't answer, so I just thought I would teleport us in here," said Twilight. Blake put on a good poker face. “Fair enough. So you‘re going to interview me?” Blake asked Twilight. Twilight nodded. “But I thought we already did an interview," said Blake. “We are aware that Twilight Sparkle interviewed you before. However, we interviewed you about your species, not about you specifically,” said Luna. This was true. Twilight had only interviewed Blake about the humans as a whole, never asking much about Blake himself. “So you’re going to interview me, about me?” Asked Blake. Twilight and the Princesses nodded their heads in unison. “Alright then. Come with me and we can talk in the living room.” The group entered the living room and sat. The three turned their heads towards Blake. “So tell us about yourself,” said Twilight. “There isn’t much to say about me. I’m a 17 year old guy that lives in New York. Nothing special about that,” said Blake. The Princesses and Twilight looked at each other in confusion, but then quickly switched their gaze back at Blake. “Well can you go more in depth?” Asked Luna. “You sure you wanna hear this? This is going to be kind of pointless and short," Blake said. The three nodded in response. Blake sighed and continued. "Well for starters, my full name is Blake Connors. I live in a place called the United States of America. More specifically, New York, the Big Apple. Don't ask me how New York got that nickname though, because I don't know. Anyways I was raised by only my mom until she remarried when I was 12. Uh, I've been pretty much a nerd my entire life. I'll skip the bullying part yada yada yada. Now I'm in this world." The three mares looked at each others, as if they were expecting something more. "What? You were expecting something more? I'm not that interesting," said Blake. The only reason Blake made his bio so boring was to hide things. Blake intended to keep his past a secret. "Well I guess you could say something like that," said Celestia. "Well my past wasn't that interesting," said Blake. Silence filled the room for what seemed like hours, but in actuality was a couple of minutes. "So I now have two pieces of information for you," said Celestia. "What is it?" Asked Blake. Celestia turned to Luna, who stepped forward. "First off, we are close to having something done in order to send you back home," said Luna. Blake blinked in astonishment. Do I really want to go home? I-I mean I know I don't belong here but...I don't know. "That's...great," said Blake with a gloomy tone. "Is something wrong?" Asked Celestia. "N-no everything's fine. What is the second piece of information?" Blake lied. "The second part is that we have managed to find something to help you fit in more while you are in Equestria," said Luna. Blake turned his head in confusion. "What she means is that we have found a spell to allow you to transform into a pony. This will not eliminate your human form but give you the ability to have a second you, if you will. It's complicated," said Twilight. Blake dropped his jaw. A pony? I can turn into one of them?! W-wow, this is going to be weird. "I'll do it. I have one question though," said Blake. "What is it?" Asked Celestia. "Do I get to choose what kind of pony I can be?" Asked Blake. "Unfortunately, no. The spell allows you to become a pony, but your personality defines what kind," said Luna. "Okay then, let's do this," said Blake. Blake watched as Celestia and Luna's horns were enveloped in their personal auroras. In a matter of seconds, a triangle was formed by a gray aurora connecting from Luna's horn to Celestia's horn to Blake's head. Soon after, Blake's body was shrouded by the gray aurora. From there, the gray aurora turned into a dark and sinister red and covered Blake's body in a circle. Twilight simply watched and stood, as the aurora blinded everypony's vision. What happened next shocked all. A loud screeching sound grew louder until an explosion occurred, causing Blake to pass out and the rest to be knocked backwards into the walls. Blake's world was shrouded in darkness soon after. "Oh good. You're waking up!" Said a voice. Opening his eyes, Blake saw himself in a hospital bed. In front of him was Twilight. "Oh hey Twilight. What happened? How did I get here?" Blake asked. He was trying to remember what happened. "You passed out after the transformation spell exploded," replied Twilight. "So did it work?" Asked Blake. "Why don't you take a look at yourself?" Asked Twilight. Blake switched his eyes from Twilight to his hands, or better yet, his hooves. His hands were replaced by hooves. From the looks of it, he had a light blue coat. Unfortunately, he would need a mirror to see anything else. He got off from his bed and stood on his hooves. "This feels strange," said Blake. Twilight giggled as Blake tried his hardest to walk forward. To her, it looked as if Blake were a foal. "Wait a minute I forgot one thing!" Said Blake. Blake touched the front of his head to check if he was a unicorn or not. When he reached for his head, he didn't feel anything. So I'm not a unicorn. Blake checked his sides and found that he wasn't a unicorn, but a pegasus. Oh cool I have wings. "Nice I'm a pegasus," said Blake. Twilight stared at Blake as he was flapping his wings, making an attempt to fly. "I can't seem to get this right," said Blake. "Maybe Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy can teach you to fly," replied Twilight. "Oh you're right. Anyways, do the others know about my little transformation?" Asked Blake. "No. I was thinking that once you're checked out we can go meet up with the others and show them," said Twilight. "When can I leave?" "Actually, the doctor said you can leave as soon as you woke up. So let's go," said Twilight. Twilight went out the door, leaving Blake to walk terribly on his own. Twilight noticed that Blake wasn't behind her, so she checked back at Blake. "Aren't you coming?" Asked Twilight. "I'm trying to walk here. Uh...can you lend a hand–I mean hoof?" Asked Blake. Twilight nodded and went over to Blake. "Here, put this hoof around me so it'll be easier to walk. Celestia, you have the walking skill of a foal," said Twilight. "Yeah-yeah-yeah laugh it up there Sparkle," said Blake. "Sparkle?" "I don't know. Don't ask," said Blake. Blake put a hoof around Twilight. It did make things a lot easier when it came to walking. Twilight and Blake went through Ponyville in search of Applejack, considering she had a little stand where she sold apples that was relatively close to the hospital. It took a while considering Blake's inability to walk properly, to reach Applejack's stand. They made it though, in about 10 minutes. "Hey Applejack," said Twilight and Blake in unison. Applejack turned her head to Twilight and Blake, not recognizing that the stallion was Blake. "Hey Twilight and whose your coltfriend? He sure does look handsome," Applejack said. Blake immediately took his hoof off of Twilight and blushed. "I'm not her coltfriend, she was just helping me walk," said Blake. Blake's deep voice was very distinguishable. "Blake? Is that you?" Asked Applejack. She gazed at Blake. "Yeah it's me. By the way thanks for calling me handsome," said Blake, who chuckled. Applejack blushed and gave a friendly punch to Blake. Blake laughed. "Yeah-yeah laugh it up there ya varmit. So how did you manage to become a pony?" Asked Applejack. "Well Princess Celestia and Princess Luna came to me today in the morning, along with Twi here to interview me some more. The Princesses gave me the chance to be able to turn into a pony, while still keeping my human form," said Blake. Blake demonstrated by turning from pony to human and back. Applejack's jaw dropped. "Well I'll be...that's amazing!" Said Applejack. Twilight and Blake nodded. "Yeah. Well it was nice seeing you again and all but I've been meaning to see the rest of the girls to show them my pony form," said Blake. Applejack nodded and Twilight and Blake waved goodbye. "Blake, do you think you can walk now?" Asked Twilight. "Well I think I can handle it," said Blake. Blake, without any help, walked on all four hooves. He smiled at his achievement and followed Twilight to Sugarcube Corner. Blake and Twilight entered Sugarcube Corner, where they found Pinkie at the counter. "Hey Pinkie!" Twilight and Blake said in unison. Pinkie smiled and waved her hoof at the two. "Hey Twilight, hey Blake!" Said Pinkie. Blake and Twilight looked at each other in confusion. "How'd you know it was me?" Asked Blake. "Well how would I not know silly? Midnight Blink re-wrote this chapter like 3 times!" Said Pinkie Pie. Blake turned his head in confusion. Pinkie Pie shush! "What?" Asked Twilight and Blake at the same time. "Well I have to go check up on the cupcakes! Bye Blake and Twilight," said Pinkie Pie. She happily bounced away, leaving Blake and Twilight to gaze at each other in confusion. Both of them shrugged and left. They made their way to Rarity's Boutique. At this point, Blake and Twilight had reached Rarity's place. Knocking the door, they waited a couple of seconds before getting a response. "Just a second, I'll be there," said what sounded like Rarity. It took a while for her to open up. "Okay I'm here. Oh Twilight who is this?" Asked Rarity. "Hi Rarity, its Blake," said Blake. Rarity stepped back in shock. "What? How can that be you? You were a human before," said Rarity. "Oh well Princess Celestia and Princess Luna put a spell on me that lets me become a pony while keeping my human form," said Blake. Blake demonstrated by turning from human to pony and back. "Well now I can design clothes easier for you," said Rarity. "Alright then I guess I–" Blake was interrupted by a crashing sound. Following it was the sound of a cat. "Oh my, I must go see what happened. I'll talk with you two another time, bye!" Said Rarity. She closed the door. However, it did not conceal the sounds of a cat screeching and Rarity screaming and more things crashing. "Okay then...that just happened," said Blake. "Well all that's left is Rainbow Dash and–" Now it was Twilight's turn to be interrupted. "Look out below!" Said a voice. Following it was the sound of Blake and Rainbow Dash crashing into each other at a high speed. The two crashed into a nearby tree. "Oh my! Blake and Rainbow, are you two okay?!" Said Twilight. "I'm good Twilight. Wait, did you just say Blake? I could have sworn I crashed into a pony," said Rainbow Dash. Blake, underneath Rainbow Dash, pushed her off. "Well it's nice to know you can recognize where and who you crash into before you crash," said Blake while getting up on his hooves. "Oh, wait a minute. Blake is that you?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Blake got up and said, "Yeah, it's me." "No way! Lemme guess the Princesses used their magic to turn you from human to pony?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Thank you for being the first one I don't have to explain that too," said Blake. "And better yet, you're a pegasus! This is so cool! I could train you to be at least half as good as me," Rainbow Dash gloated. "So this means you'll teach me to fly?" Asked Blake. "Yeah!" Said Rainbow Dash. She stuck her hoof out towards Blake. 'A brohoof?' Blake bumped hooves with Rainbow Dash, and with that, she flew off into the distance. "So I guess we gotta go to Fluttershy now," said Twilight. Arriving at Fluttershy's cottage, Twilight and Blake saw Fluttershy at the front. She was feeding some animals. "Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight. Fluttershy gasped in fright. "Oh Twilight, you startled me. So what are you-eep!" Fluttershy said as she saw Blake. She buried her face in her mane. "Fluttershy it's okay it's me Blake," said Blake. "Blake? W-what happened?" Asked Fluttershy. She was obviously shocked at Blake's transformation, as were the others. "The Princesses used a spell to let me become a pony while keeping my human form," said Blake. "Now you can fit in better," said Fluttershy. "Exactly," said Blake. "So how's everything Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight. Finally she says something. "I-I'm fine. I was just taking care of this cute bird here," said Fluttershy. The bird chirped in agreement. "But Twilight, can I ask you for some help? I-If that's okay..." "Of course I'll help, Fluttershy. Blake, if you want, you can leave," said Twilight. Blake simply nodded. "Alright then. Flutters and Twi, I'll be seeing you sometime," said Blake. Blake waved to the two mares as he walked away. Blake walked home slowly. He decided to savor the walk. Something about walking in Ponyville felt different. It was more natural. Had Blake been walking in New York, he would have not been able to take in the beauty of nature. The cars and streetlights of New York made sure of that. However, here in Ponyville, everything was natural. Just for the feeling, Blake decided to turn from pony to human. It took a while, but instead of going directly home, Blake decided to lay on top of a nearby hill. He remained there for at least an hour until somepony confronted him. "Ah the human, Blake. How nice to meet you," said a voice behind Blake. He turned to see a dark colored unicorn. His cutie mark was extremely steampunk and hard to describe. His mane consisted of a dark blue stripe in the center of a black mane. He seemed very mysterious. "Oh...hi there guy I've never met," said Blake. The stallion merely grinned. "Call me, Haze," said Haze. "So how is Ponyville treating you?" "Oh it's been good thank you," said Blake. "Tell me something here. Isn't this life better than your life back in New York?" Asked Haze. What? How could he know about that?! "How did you–" Blake was cut off. "Don't ask how I know. All I have to say for now is...enjoy your new life while it lasts, Blake," said Haze. "For now, I must go. Farewell." "Wait but I want–" Blake was interrupted yet again by the sound of Haze teleporting away, leaving Blake to ponder his thoughts. "What the fuck was that?" Asked Blake. He scratched his head, thinking for a while about what just happened. I think it's too early to say this but, I think shit just got real...
Chapter 01[1] The school bell at Blake's high school rang loudly, signaling the end of Blake's Spanish class, and the start of the lunch period.
