The unknown

I awoke in the cold freezing snow nothing on me but my horn I tried to remember where I was or who I was but I couldn’t remember anything not even my name. Who was I What was I these thoughts raced through my mind but I didn’t have time to think about it I had to find shelter and food and drinkable water or I would perish in this wasteland. I must of trotted through the snow for hours till I found the cave of ice no one was inside just my luck even if I found someone did I know how to speak how to even communicate with whatever I found out here more and more thoughts but I just curled up into a ball on to the ground of ice and went to sleep.

I awoke to a calm quiet and some sort of strange sound coming from the other side of that snowy wasteland I started to run to it a loud sound of metal scraping metal how did I know this sound I didn’t care I knew it meant ponies and that maybe they knew me or whatever I was it was dark but I didn’t care I just kept running towards the sound when I ran into what seemed to be a giant invisible wall but I couldn’t get through when suddenly a blizzard came again I ran to the side of the shield where the snow couldn’t hit me when suddenly chuckling. I looked out and saw some sort of shadow chasing ponies no idea what was going on I stood up ready to attack the shadow. But why, when I was ready to attack my horn lit and shot a beam of light towards the shadow and the ponies looked at me. “What was that silly foal doing?” I heard them say the shadow then moved towards me I kept firing the beam at it while I ran around it the ponies ran into the shield and went through it another one who looked like me was standing his ground but I drew the shadow away and he went inside. I saw one of them wave to me as the shadow grabbed me by my hooves I saw them and smiled as the shadow covered me I then was in nothing but darkness.

I looked at the ponies in tears through what I saw through that handsome pony like me horn I assume because I couldn’t see his muzzle. “What was he thinking?” the purple one said. The one I was looking through said something unexpected “He protected us we should be thankful and go to Cadence immediately.” The ponies who were all girls except maybe the rainbow coated one were girls but she hugged them and flew off. “To fly can I do that?” I thought to myself and a strange voice from then darkness came to me and said “No you can’t little foal but I can give you that power if you serve me. I am the rightful king of the beautiful land you see there. You can go through it can’t you?” I nodded he told me “Then I will grant you wings forever.” I sat there floating thinking “Am I a good guy or a bad guy if I am good why does this feel just so right?” When I landed near the shield again a pony saw me and yelled to some sort of other ponies I recognized it was that colt I saw with the girls he gasped and tried to open the shield but the shadow was close. I looked up with sad eyes and still smiled at him. I shot at the shadow fighting it off I felt so tired and passed out.

I awoke in a shiny room surrounded by ponies they looked at me with a surprised look when I opened my eyes. “Foal where are you from? Why are you here?” question after question when finally a new pink pony with wings and a horn told them to let me talk. I tried to say something but nothing came out she gave me a quill and parchment but I didn’t know how to pick it up. They looked at me “What’s your name?” I nodded but then the pink pony fell asleep I then felt it the evilness of the shadow it disgusted me I touched the pink ones horn my eyes turned dark and I shot a beam upward to the sky and a dark evilness spread over the city and the purple one gasped and pulled out a sword. I shot at her nodding but the shadow didn’t come towards us I sat at the window wondering how I knew such dark things I felt every time the king hit my shield I was guarded by two ponies they looked worried about me but I decided it was time I left. I needed to find whatever made that sound to get out of here I jumped on the window shattering it the ponies looked at me I turned around and smiled then just fell backwards as the rest entered the room. My wings came out and I flew towards the shield and the king came through he turned into a pony just like that pink one me and him were shooting magic at each other in the sky we destroyed the outer lying village huts.

He then summoned dark ponies and I was trying to avoid them but one of them had hit my flank with some sort of spell I stood up fighting the evil ponies as the king headed towards the city I then fought with the ponies who wore dark hoods and eyes were the only thing to shine through. I stared at a magical light emanating from the castle the dark king perished but his magic of giving me wings and power stayed I felt it weaken but just barely. Those ponies who were they I thought why did they target me why am I like this what is happening to me. When I flew in the sky that stupid pony with his rainbow tail chased me tackling me into the snow I shot her with my magic when the other ponies teleported towards me I had to run or I would fall here without knowing who I was. But my legs wouldn’t move so I took to the sky where the pink one stood for some reason I could not fire at her.

The pink one in a gentle voice said “Sleep little prince.” My eyes heavy my wings giving way I started to fall the princess tried to catch me but couldn’t reach me it was the stallion that caught me I smiled at him and teleported to the cave. Thankfully all I had to do was think of it but when I awoke I heard the sound again a long metal thing in my mind I heard the word train I flew to it laying down on top of it I saw the sun and the moon it was all so great but I got up and started moving on top of the train when some purple green critter stood on top I smiled and waved at him he gasped and called out “Twilight!” before I knew it that purple and rainbow colored pony appeared. I sighed I said to them without thinking in a soft voice “Why can’t I be alone to find myself in the name of Gerard.”

The purple one casted a binding spell I couldn’t move I was brought inside the train where those stupid ponies interrogated me I said nothing but a orange pony without wings or a horn looked at me in a strange hat “Al ’right now little sir what in tarnation are you?” I stared at her eye to eye and told her “You tell me because I don’t know who or where I am.” The ponies looked at each other with suspicion then the purple one said “So you are alone where is your family?” the word it’s self (Family) I hated it; it filled my heart with sadness. I replied with “I don’t have any I awoke last night for the first time ever.” The ponies gasped the purple one then said “How do you know such evil magic it destroyed part of the crystal kingdom.” That name (Crystal Kingdom) it shot back memories my eyes grew white I was no longer in control of my body I could only watch.
