The clock struck Twelve pm.The ringing echoing across ponyville, rainbow dash sat up in her bed, wincing as she looked at the date.' Seven more days, and I haven't even started my holiday shopping yet' she thought to herself as she fell back on her bed. Before to long there was a knocking at her door, he got up and walked across the cloud floor, she noticed a slight purple hue under the door when she opened it.
"Hey rainbow!!" Twilight squeeked happily
"Zzzmrphsuy"
"Uh what?"
"Oh heh, sorry, just woke up, so what can I do for you?"
"Well besides loaning me the new daring do book, I noticed you haven't done any shopping yet..."
"Well... Uh... Um.." Rainbow dash thought aloud as she searched for an excuse, she took in the morn-- afternoon as she thought, the entire town and forest was covered in a small fresh layer of snow.
"Dash? Equestria to dash? Dash?" Twilight said nudging her friend
"Well... To be honest I don't have an excuse this time... It just doesn't feel right..."
"I understand, but at the least you accompany me?"
"Sure I guess, I'll look with you, might try to get a slight sense of what My options are..."
Twilight let out a short squeal and then grabbed dash as they roar off into the sky.
"Whoa!!! Slow down there twilight, I might be equestrias top flyer but if you keep flying this way you are going to get us killed!!"
Twilight's cheeks got slightly rosey, "heh, sorry, I just thought we should get there before the rush starts."
Rainbow sighed it was understandable, she fell in pace with twilight break neck speeds and they got to the strip mall in no time.

They hit many shops, rainbow dash purchased a set of wonder bolts toy goggles for scootaloo, and a book for twilight... They had met up with the rest of their friends and made it a wonderful outing, they now sat eating lunch in a restaurant.
"Twilight dear, why do you never wear your crown, I know you don't like it and all, but at least try to show your authority.."
"No, rarity we've gone through this before, I dont like every pony bowing down to me as I walk by, it's completely unessisary attention... And I don't like it."
Twilight and rarity exchanged many volleys of comments on the subject while they finished lunch, most of it a blur to rainbow dash. They finished shoppingaround 5, they all went their seperate ways, to each of their own houses, because y'know what else are they supposed to do.
Rainbow dash set her bags down in the entry of her cloud house, she began working on dinner when there was a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Rainbow dash yelled at her door
"Are you sure this is the right house scootaloo?"
"I'm positive dad!"
"Okay..."
Rainbow rushed to the door hearing the voices of scootaloo and scootaloos father, she opened the door and let them in. An orange and violet filly bounced through the door followed by a gray ginger Pegasus he was wearing a bow tie because how ties are cool.
"What can I do for you guys?"
"Me and the misses are out of town this weekend and we were wondering if you could watch scoots for us?"
"I'd be delighted, when should you get back by?"
"12 Sunday"
"Sure, works for me, scoot why don't you go up stairs and unpack, and I'll finish dinner?"
The young Fillys head shook in agreement as she roared upstairs.
"See you Sunday dash" he said as he turned and walked away
"See you then" rainbow replied
Scootaloo unpacked and was helping with dinner fairly soon, rainbow dash was finishing up when there was another knock at the door.
"Scootaloo... You didn't invite any friends over again did you? Don't you remember last time??"
Scootaloo giggled as rainbow dash nuugied her. Dash went to the door, she grabbed a pair of scissors as she walked to it. She hasn't been expecting anyone.
She opened the door to see a stallion in regal military blues.
"Now dash... You weren't just thinking of killing your old friend with a pair of scissors were you?"
