Perfect Way to End a Story

Previous Chapter

Funny internet videos. That was what Snow had used for the past five months to drown out her boredom while Soul was at the academy for most of the day. Smosh, Tobuscus, and PewdiePie were always the ones that made her laugh and gave her energy and motivation she needed. She was in the middle of watching horror game commentary videos when she heard the door open.

"Snow! I'm home!" She heard Soul say as she quickly walked down the steps. Being pregnant isn't as easy as she thought. She took Soul into a loving embrace.

"I missed you." She told him softly.

"I know you did. Now come on. I want to take you somewhere."

"Really? Where?"

"You'll just have to wait." He said teasingly. After a short walk, they came upon a small field. It was covered in tulips, daisies, violets, and roses as far as the eyes could see. They sat on a bench that was put under a cherry blossom tree. Snow brought a hand to her slightly swollen stomach and rubbed it slowly. Smiling softly, Soul pulled a small black velvet box out of his jacket pocket. Once he knew what to say, he said it.

"Snow, ever since I met you my heart soared. You were everything I wanted in a girl. Smart, funny, loyal, optimistic, and gentle. But at the same time, you were brash, courageous, and you were always willing to try new things. You were always there when I needed you, and you persevered through even the toughest times. You know I love you, and I want you to be happy. What I mean to ask you is..."

Snow was curious now. What was he getting at?

"Snow-Raine Lightran... Will you marry me?" He asked opening the box revealing a ring with a bronze hoop and gold loops embroidered on it. The diamond was small, but noticeable, and in the sunlight, multiple rays of color reflected off of it. Snow gasped and covered her mouth. Tears started forming at her eyes. After a moment of sweet silence, she finally came to a decision.

Snow brought her face to his, smiled, and closed the gap between their lips and closed her eyes. Soul kissed her back and hugged her tightly. They passionately kissed for a few minutes before Snow finally broke it.

"Does that answer your question?" She asked softly.

Soul was overjoyed. The girl he loved was now going to be his future wife. He then took her hand and slipped the ring onto her ring finger.

A perfect fit.
