Chapters My claws play elegantly on the organ keys. My lavender scales shimmer in the dim candlelight of my quarters. My face was bored, and tired of all the notes that I had played. My eyes were like emeralds, shimmering in the flame before me. Ah, how elegant my songs were. If only our castle weren't so Isolated from the rest of our kingdom- scratch that, Her kingdom. If it were OUR kingdom, There would be major changes. I push myself away from the gigantic instrument. My claws were tired from the endless playing. But what else was there to do? I had written stacks of sonatas, and even waltzes, but what else was there? I suppose I could see..Mistress Sparkle.. I step towards the ivory spiral staircase. My claws clack against the stone stairs. "Mistress Sparkle, may I speak to you?" I speak tentatively. She slowly comes into view as she speaks.
"Yes, Spike?" She actually remembered my name. This was a step up from last time. "Well? Speak up! I don't have all day."
I manage to mumble something.
"What's that?"
I speak up. "M-Mistress, It's nearly been a decade since we've seen the others..on something other than royal business, I mean."
She turns to me. Once again, better than last time. "..And?" She stares at me.
"..And I think we should see out old friends from P-Ponyville.." Her eyes look at me, with some form of sincerity. As if she actually cared. She was silent for a whole minute.
"No. There's too much work to do here." My heart sank like a stone.
"B-But we don't have to leave! The others have never even..not even..not even the crusaders? I-I could show them the castle..all by myself.." I turned around, and stashed my claws in my pockets.
"Spike." I turn around. "You can bring the crusaders." My face lit up.
"Really? Oh, thank you, Mistress!" I grab a sheet of parchment, and a quill pen, and run up to my quarters. I quickly write down a note.
Dear Cutie Mark Crusaders,
You are hereby cordially invited to an all-expense-paid trip to the Sunrise empire. Here you will be escorted by the Princesses personal dragon servant! If you choose to accept this, please use the enclosed bits to purchase a train ticket for the three of you.

Applebloom bursts into the treehouse, laughing.
"Hey girls!" Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo look up from their textbooks; to music and races, respectively. "We got a letter from Spike!" Sweetie Belle tramples Scootaloo getting up.
"REALLYREALLYREALLY?" She giggles.
"Wow, Sweetie Belle. You're excited about Spike, huh?" Scootaloo cackles. "Shut up! Let's see what it says..."
I remember the memory vividly. That faithful night that Spike had kissed me. That faithful night that he looked into my eyes, and he said "Your eyes sparkle like the full moon.." I blushed at him saying this. It wasn't that I wasn't used to this, it's just the fact that my sister had always chased away the colts that ever said so. For mares of our stature, She was extremely overprotective. He pulled me in..and we locked lips. We spent the night together. Nothing happened, we just stared at the stars and talked. I wasn't one for talking. I was into action!...wow, That came out wrong. But with him..I felt I could talk forever. I wanted us to stare into eachother's eyes, and just give eachother compliments every moment we could.
Sweetie Belle trotted to the Train Station with the other girls; Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom. "Hey girls, Can you believe that we know a prince?" Sweetie Belle exclaimed, and Applebloom tilts her head.
"What in tarnation are you jabbering about?" "You know, Spike!" Scootaloo stares at Sweetie Belle like everyone looks at Screwball.
"Spike? PRINCE?" Scootaloo exclaims, as Sweetie Belle begins to elaborate.
"Spike is essentially Princess Twilight's son, right?" Applebloom and Scootaloo nod. "So, based on my royalty knowledge, Spike is a Prince!" Sweetie Belle grins, and trots to the ticket station. "Three tickets to the Sunrise Empire, please!" She giggles to the conductor, who scowls.
"I hope you're not there to see the princess." He mutters, as he hands over the tickets, in exchange for ample bits.
"Why's that?"
"Sunrise Castle is sealed off from the public. You'd need a royal letter to get in."
"Well, maybe I have one." Sweetie Belle remarks, and trots to the Train. "Come on, Girls!" She leaps into the first train car, and flashed the tickets to the Ticketmaster. She sat down in a booth, and waved over her friends.
"So, Anyone wondering what Spike would want from us?" Scootaloo asks. "Wow, Scoots, You seem real interested in Spike."
"Shut up, Applebloom!"
"I'm just sayin'..." They begin to rant at eachother, while Sweetie Belle takes everything from the dessert cart.
"Girls, shut your traps and load up!" Sweetie Belle calls out, and Apple Bloom and Scootaloo stare at the miraculous amount of desserts.
"Whoa~ Food!" Scootaloo begins to devour the Sundaes. Applebloom, however, began drinking hot apple cider.
"Uhm, Applebloom.." Sweetie Belle calls out. "That stuff's alcohol." The message fell of deft ears, as Applebloom went from one mug to another. Scootaloo reached for an apple fritter, in an attempt not to provoke Applebloom.
"Hey, Sweet-*hic!*-Cheeks!" Apple Bloom takes the fritter. "If you wanted a fritter, you could have just gotten one from my-*Hic!*-Pants~" Applebloom cackles, and Sweetie Belle just stares in disgust.
"Ugh! So uncouth.." She growls. Scootaloo blushes, and goes back to loading up on the ice creams.
"Hee-Yoo~" Applebloom howls, and loads up on all sorts of apple-treats. They remained untouched, because Applebloom passed out on the floor about three seconds later.
"This is going to be a long Trip.." Sweetie Belle mutters.

My claws tapped against the stone, as I waited for the train to arrive. 15 minutes late. Anxieties filled my mind. The whole scene played out in my head.
"I'm beginning to have second thoughts about going to see spike.." Sweetie Belle thought. "Should we..still go?"
"Why in the hell would I want to go in the first place?" Scootaloo laughs at the thought. "Spike was a whiny little baby!" She stomps about, tramping on the bits.
"Yeah! Spike is a little wuss!" Applebloom yells, and they all cackle at once.
Apparently Diamond Tiara saw my worried expression (Did i forget to mention? she was there too.) and smiled at me. "It'll be alright, cutie pie." I was warming up to her tone. It wasn't that sarcastic tone everyone knew and hated. It was sincere, and almost kind. "I'm sorry I was a bit mean, and a bit coarse, and a bit too refined.." I nodded in agreement. "But I'm way more laid back now." Funny. I never expected that to come out of her mouth. "To be honest, Spikey.." She leaned in close. Oh no.. "I kinda had a crush on you..ever since you stood up for Scootaloo.." She blushes deeply, and kisses me. Just then, a Train pulled into the station, and three mares stepped out, and their jaws dropped one by one.
"What.." Applebloom states.
"The.." Sweetie Belle continues.
The orange mare beside them was too heartbroken to speak. Instead. she yelled.
"S-Spike, you jerk!"

Oh dear celestia what have I done. I do NOT know how to feel about this. Okay, I know exactly how to feel about this.
I'm Pissed. I am pissed beyond belief. At who?
At Scootaloo. Why? Simple. Ever since we-
"Why in the everliving buck are you kissing Diamond Tiara?" Applebloom yells at me. I open my mouth to say something, but Miss Goodie Goodie here spoke up for me.
"He likes me instead of miss tomboy here! Simple as that!" Guess who's baaaack!
"Is that all you wanted us to come here for? Meet your girlfriend Diamond Tiara?" That's it. I'm sick of this. Prepare for the great Spike's fire!
"Yes!" I lash out. "That's all I bucking wanted! For you to meet my girlfriend, who I apparently had for two SECONDS!" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle step back. "You want to jump to conclusions? Fine! Do it! Just don't do it around ME!" At that last word, I realize what had just happened. I had yelled at two out of the only three child friends I had as a dragon-let. I wanted to cry. But Applebloom did the honor, and ran away crying. Sweetie Belle followed suit. My heart raced. Diamond Tiara looked at me, horrified. "This was part of your plan, wasn't it?" She shook her head, and I stared holes into her.
"F-Fine! It was all part of my plan! I couldn't bare seeing you with some other mare! I-I loved you, Spike! I wanted you to get away from them, and I-I.." She broke into tears. That's it. I'm pissed at everyone right now.
"This is not the way to get my heart." I grabbed Diamond Tiara by the throat. "and because of this, I will never love you." I threw her aside, and i stomped off, back to the castle.
"Where are the girls?" Princess Twilight asked me, half-in her notes.
"Change of plans." I swallow that lump in my throat, to realize it isn't there. I tromp up the stairs, and sit at the Piano bench. My claws play against the ivory. It was an angry tune. For Scootaloo, of course.

I look outside the window, searching for the train that had yet to come. It wouldn't be coming for another few hours, and I had nothing to do for the rest of the day. Then I heard the deep voice; yelling out from the town square. "Oh, Spikey Wikey!" It called. I looked out, hoping that somehow the girls had escaped my ever-looking view. "Come down here, honey!" My face lit up, and I scampered down the stairs, and out of the castle. Oh boy, I couldn't wait to see Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo, and-
Diamond Tiara?
There she was, the grown, pink-coated mare, with a light, fluffy purple mane. "Hey, Cutie Pie~" She giggles in my direction. I push a claw up to my chest, as if to ask; "Me?" She simply giggles again, and struts up to me. Well, She did age well, for a bad egg. "I heard you invited the C.M.C. to the empire.."
I swallowed. "Y-Yes.." I stood tall. I didn't trust her quite yet.
She smiles at me. "Oh, Goodie! I'm so relieved. I just hated how I acted around them when we were fillies, so when I heard about them coming, I just couldn't stand by and let my deeds go unfixed!" She wiggles her flank, and smiles innocently at me. Innocent..yet lustful. My tail stood on end.
I swallowed the lump in my throat, that had come up again. "W-Would you like to come with us, when they arrive?" Every time I stopped talking, that lump came back.
"Sure, cutie pie." Diamond Tiara pecks me on the cheek. "See you in two hours?" I blush more than Twilight does whenever she was behind Rarity. /Never did understand that../
I swallow once more. "Sure."
For a brief moment, I could have sworn that lump grew 20 times in size.
