I stand there about to head out into the night as I put my fedora on.
“Yes dad I will be back soon I am just going for a walk in the fields.”
“You better be you know how dangerous it can be out there at night.” I roll my eyes.
“Dad I’ll be fine the moons full and I have my phone on for plenty of light.” He scoffs.
“You should just turn that thing off your mother is only going to keep sending those messages Kyle.” He had a point she was trying to manipulate me again like she did when I was younger.
“Dad trust me I can handle mom” he laughs.
“Yea right…Explain why you burst out cursing again?” I smiled faintly.
“Bitch said that she was coming to get me and slap me and she insulted Anthony’s heritage I had the right!” he frowns again.
“Kyle you need to start watching your language. You could even make a sailor cringe from all your violent outburst.” He was right I cursed more than anybody could.
“I’ll work on it.” I step out the door and close it. I breathe in the cold air of the country and smile to myself. Two years ago I would have killed to be away from this place. But now im glad I moved. I stepped down the steps and made my way towards the fields.
My phone began going off like crazy. My dad told me to just ignore my mom and that she feeds off it but dammit I just wanna cuss her out and show her what she really is. I calm down a little looking at the sky. It was a starry night with a full moon out needless to say it was beautiful. I reach into my pocket and grab my phone and turn it off.
I can’t just keep avoiding her one day she is going to confront me but I’ll be ready I think. I sigh and sit down and slide in my headphones and scroll through my other phone looking for some music. I have two phones one is a stupid minute phone and the other is a Samsung galaxy but it’s turned off so I just use it for music.
I put random on because I couldn’t choose a song. Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz came on. I smiled a bit to myself and looked up at the sky. I say a light shoot across the sky. A shooting star! Im such a little kid sometimes but I guess I will try and make a wish. I close my eyes and mumble.
“I wish to go somewhere better than this.” I reopened my eyes and frowned. Still in the fields. There is not escape from this place. I sighed and layed back in the field closing my eyes drifting off to sleep trying to have happy thoughts.
I wake up to a bright son and a throbbing headache and hurting back. I clutch my head as I sit up from where I was laying. I readjust my glasses and look around. Where in the hell was I? This was not the fields. I panicked and got to my feet and looked around.
“Oh god oh god where am I!” I shouted to nobody in particular.
Calm yourself Kyle calm it and breathe. Okay this is weirder than that one time I was at a party with my cousin Joey and he passed out while driving the limo that I don't even remember where we got. Good times…
I glance around at my surrounding. Bright colorful and it hurts my eyes. I defiantly stood out in this place wearing nothing but black and grey with my white pasty pale skin. Okay Kyle you’ve seen the hangover enough to know what to do first check your pockets. I stuck my hand in my pockets and yanked out both my phones.
I quickly turned on my minute phone to see if I had any service. Nope. FUCK! I held my head again and fell on my butt. Okay calm down….I remember wishing to s shooting star. No way. Did it actually. THAT CANT BE POSSIBLE! It actually worked. I smiled to myself I was free! I was so happy I was going to start jumping with joy but that would seem really out of character for me.
But where was I? I still needed that to be answered. I just shrugged to myself and got to my feet. Alright find a nearby home are town whatever and get a sammich! Oh god yes a sammich! I began walking to I don't even know where with my head held high with my fedora on.
30 minutes later
I was clawing at the ground. Walking and exercise is not my kind of thing. I could see a town in the distance. SAMMICH HERE I COME! I get to my feet tired of crawling. I begin walking and I stick my headphones and begin humming closing my eyes as I walk. I near the town and I open my eyes and nearly have a heart attack. TO COLORFUL FOR ME!
I hated colorful I preferred gray black and purple. After recovering from my near death of colorfulness I enter the town and gasp. FRIKKIN TINY HORSES! HOAW MAH GAWD TINY HORSES! Ellis would love it here. But still there are tiny horses everywhere. They all stare at me with eyes full of fear.
I take off my headphones and stare at the colorful horses.
“Sup?” I say. They all just flip shit and run around screaming. Wait screaming!? THEY CAN TALK WHAT KIND OF WORLD HAVE I BEEN SENT TO! All of the horses are now gone. Wow am I tripping again…Maybe I had some magic mushrooms with some LSD. Most likely not but wow. This really sucks. First I wake up in the middle of nowhere now I find a town full of talking horses and I still don't have my sammich! I raise my fist to the sky and yell.
“WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME TO THIS WORLD OF NO SAMMICHS!” I fall to my knees dramatically and smash the ground. Okay maybe I took that a little too far but eh I don't care new world I have my excuses and reasons.
“Are ya okay?” a sweet soothing southern voice asked. I open my eyes to see a even smaller horse looking at me with worried eyes.
“No” I mumble.
“Why not?” she ask
“Because im forsaken here and I haven’t had any sammichs!” she raised an eyebrow. I get to my feet and look at the horse.
“What ar ya?” I smile faintly maybe I can pretend to be some alien. Wait I am one to these horses. AWW YEEAAHHH
EXTRATERESTIAL KYLE HAS CAME FOR YOUR SAMMCIHS!
“Im a human. And my name is Kyle.”
“Mah names Applebloom!” she shouts with glee. I smile. Why are these horses so cute!?
“Can you take me somewhere to get some help?” she nods her head.
“I can take you to Twilight!” I snicker a little. That must suck to have a name like that.
“Alright please lead the way Applebloom.” I say gently.
5 minutes later
More and more of these horses began appearing but disappearing as they seen me. Was I that intimidating?! I’m like what 5”10 and 130 pounds.
“Were here!” I look up at the home. Wow a tree home. Applebloom walks up to the door and knocks.
“Coming!” a voice says coming from the inside. The door opened and a lavender unicorn horse thing stood in front of us.
“Yes app—“she stopped as soon as she saw me and her eyes widened in fear.
“W-what are you!” she stutters. I smile.
“Im a human and my name is Kyle.” I say calmly not trying to freak out how there is a unicorn in front of me.
“Im Twilight Sparkle.” She says. Twilight Sparkle oh god that must really suck!
“Well its nice meeting you Twilight.” She seems calmed down a bit.
“Kyle can you tell me how you got here?” she will think im crazy if I do tell her but eh whatever it’s the truth and the truth can really suck sometimes.
“Last night I was sitting in some fields and I saw a shooting star and I wished to go someplace better.” She had a look on her face like “Are you kidding me?” I gulped.
“Interesting. Please come in. And Applebloom tell your sister to gather are friends and to meet us here please?” Applebloom nods and dashes off to who knows where. I entered her home and took off my gray and black striped jacket and tossed it beside the door. Twilight turned around and gasped.
“Kyle what’s wrong with your arms?!” she ask. I look at my arms to see all the scars from cutting myself.
“I used to cut myself.” I regret cutting myself I go by a motto I made up “Scars leave memories and memories are bitches and who wants to remember them if there bitches?”
“But why?” I think for a moment if should tell her are not. I shouldn’t I just met her.
“It’s a rough subject. Maybe when I get to know you better.” She simply nods her head. I look around and all’s I see are books. Wow and I thought I was no life reader guess not.
“Come over here Kyle and sit down I have some more questions.” I sigh I hated answering questions and telling people stuff. That’s why I always hated to go to therapy. I sit down in a chair as does Twilight.
“Now first question.” A quill rises with a purple glow around it.
“Wow…” she looks at the quill.
“What have you not seen magic before?” I shake my head
“Humans don't have magic.” She begins writing something down with the magic.
“Okay first question again. What gender are you?”
“Male.”
“Your full name?”
“Kyle Andrew Rech.”
“Reech?” I get aggravated when people ask that.
“No it’s R-E-C-H” she nods her head and begins writing some more things down. This goes on for about another hour and god was it boring.
“Okay that’s all I needed to ask you.” I could hear a door open and out of the corner of my eye I could see more tiny horses. Oh what fun two of them have wings!
