Chapter 1View OnlineNyx and the Night PoniesChapter 1Nyx and the Night Ponies. Its three months since Nyx came back from summer camp. In that time the news reporters started to harass the royal family in Everfree. It all started with a picture of Nyx playing at school with other students. The headline read “Nightmare Moon or Nightmare Woon.” They laughed it off as a stupid news article. But it started a flood of News Reporters. So much so that now when Nyx and Crystal leave the Castle they have to have guards with them at all the times. Cheerily don’t mind it what much anymore. Her class is more than three time larger since they because the capital. Firefly also gave her permission to do as she like with the guards. So she had them help her with her Class. Nyx could no longer participate in most of the CMC activates. And the CMC Clubhouse is no longer a tree house; now it is a fort on the outskirts of town. The CMC doesn’t mind. They had room to get more members and they sure got them. Most of the young ponies in town became members of the CMC. Our story started one day when Nurse’s Corners went to pick up Nyx and Crystal from school. Nyx, Crystal, and founding member of the CMC came out of School and they saw Nurse’s Corners standing there waiting for them. The group of fillies ran over to Nurse’s Corners. Sweetie Belle was the first to say something. “Hello Nurse’s Corner, how are you today?” Then all the ponies started to walk toward the castle. “I am doing great, Miss Sweetie Belle. Do you have a singing lesson today? ” “Yes and after Nyx and Crystal are done with their Royal Duties We will head to the fort.” “Is that so Princess Nyx?” “Yes it is. I wanted to help some of the younger unicorns learn to use some magic. And please stop calling me a princess when we are not in the Castle.” “Sorry I can’t, you are always a Princess to me.” Nurse’s Corner smiled. “When we get to the Castle I would make the arrangements so you can go to the Fort.” Sweetie Belle leaned close to Nurse’s Corner. “So any juicy gossip today?” “Oh yes, do you know Parry?” Nurse’s Corners smiled slyly Nyx ears perked. “What about him?” “Well, Medley and him been secretly dating, and he asked her to marry him.” Nurse’s Corners laughed. All the fillies squealed and laughed. “Well, that isn’t all you know how Lighten Hooves is Medley’s Brother?” Nurse’s Corners asked Nyx smiled “yes?..” “Lighten hooves been teasing Perry ever since he find out.” Crystal frowned. “Poor Parry, I guess I have to step in and put a stop that.” “Little Misses, Sir Bright Eyes just got back for the Crystal Empire.” Sweetie belle smiled because she has a crush on Bright Eyes. Nyx was happy she always enjoy her time with Bright Eyes “Good, I missed him.” Apple Bloom smiled “Sweetie Belle, aren’t you also glad he is back? Wink wink.” “Stop it, Apple Bloom it isn’t like that.” Sweetie Belle protest. But everypony else knew she liked him a lot. When they got to the Castle gates Apple Bloom saw AJ waiting there. “There is my Sister. I should get going. Bye.” Then Apple Bloom walked away. The rest of ponies waved and said good bye. Scootaloo who had been quite until now said “I should get going too I have a meeting with the Jr. Wonder Bolts. Rainbow Dash doesn’t like when we are late. Bye” with that Scootaloo Flew off. That left Nyx, Crystal, Sweetie Belle, and Nurse’s Corners; they went into the Castle and found Shooting Star talking to two Fairy ponies that Nyx have ever seen before. They bowed and left. Shooting Star walked over. “Hello there my beautiful Fillies, how was School?” Nyx smiled. “It was wonderful Bright light from the high Unicorns came and taught us about the history of the High Unicorns.” “You are Twilight’s daughter. That is for sure.” Shooting star said amazed how they were alike. “Well, Sweetie Belle the Love Birds are at the fort so there is no singing lesson for today. So what are you going to do?” Sweetie Belle started to think it over when Nyx interrupted. “She will help us with our Royal duties.” “I will?” Sweetie Belle was confused. Nyx and Crystal put their Wings over their friend “this way it will go by much faster and we will get to the fort sooner." "And you know you would do anything for your friends.” Then Crystal batted her eyes. Sweetie Belle laughed. “Alright, I will help you.” Then Twilight walked over after she just got out of Royal Court. “So what is going on here?” “Nothing, Well we have to start their Royal Duties, see you later mom.” Then Nyx and Crystal took Sweetie Belle away. “What was that all about?” Twilight wondered. Shooting Star smiled “Aren’t they just being fillies? So how was Court?” “Shooting Star, next time it will be me that leaves and you stay.” Shooting Star didn’t like where this was going so. “So what is next on the list?” Twilight looked at the list of things to do. “We have to go to Canterlot for a trade agreement meeting.” “Didn’t we already have a trade agreement with Canterlot?” Twilight rolled up the list. “Yes we did, but not one with the Iron guild or the stone guild.” “I am so glade Rarity handled the Fashion Guild.” Twilight nodded. “She saved us a lot of trouble.” “You know what I just had a wonderful idea, you should go alone to this meeting, I trust you to do what is best for us there.” Twilight wrapped Shooting Star in her magic and lifted him and walked toward the throne room. “No you don’t Shooting star. You have to come too.” “But it will be boring! And nothing will be agreed on for the next three meeting. Then we have to write it down. Then the attorneys have to have their little argument over it. Then we have to read it over and if it is still what we want. Then we sign it. It will take at least a month.” Shooting Star tried to get out of Twilight’s magic. Twilight put him down, and then she walked in front of Shooting star and stood so he can see how beautiful she was. “Would you please go with me? You are so brave and handsome. I would feel so much better with you by my side.” Shooting star sighed “alright I will go. You learn my weaknesses too quickly.” Twilight flicked her tail in his face “it isn’t hard to find out. Your biggest weakness is me.” Shooting Star laughed and opened the portal. And they walked through. Nyx’s and Crystal first royal duty is to get their final dress fitting with Rarity. The Nightmare Night Ball is in two days and they needed to look her best. While that happened Sweetie Belle did her home work. After they were done they went to the Ballroom to check on the preparations for the ball. You see, last year Luna hosted the ball, so this year it was Nyx’s turn. Since this will be Nyx’s first Ball she hosted. She was trying to make it the best one Equestria ever saw. Sweetie belle said “everything look wonderful in here.” “Yes it does, I have to make this ball better than Luna’s. I went over the guest list and the food with Pinkie. I also try to make the Hunted Home the scariest Equestria have ever seen. I’d talked some of the night guards to play Vamponies. I got Zecora to walk around and do some of her spooky magic.” Nyx Said with an evil grin. Sweetie looked Confused “but last year you were against Scaring ponies.” “I was until I talked to some ponies at school and they told me the haunted house was their favorite part of the Ball last year.” “I see, so are we done here?” Sweetie belle was getting bored. Nyx Smiled “not yet.” Then Nyx walked over to a table with baked goods from all over Equestria. “How would you like to some of those” Sweetie Belle smile “are you sure it is alright?” “Yes, I already picked what I will be serving, the rest would go to waste.” Crystal got an idea “why don’t we take them to the fort for the CMC members to eat.” Nyx smiled “we should do just that, you always have good ideas.” Then a diamond Dog walked over the whispered something in Nyx’s ear. “Thank you Rover,” Nyx then scratch Rover behind the Ear. “Who is the good dog?” Rover rolled over and wagged his tail. Nyx waved a maid over. “Would you make sure Rover here gets the gems he earned.” The maid bowed and led Rover away. “Sweetie Belle, want to see something cool?” Nyx lead Sweetie Belle to the dungeon and over to an opening to a tunnel. “This Tunnel goes to the dungeon of CMC Fort.” “The fort has a Dungeon?” “Oh yeah, the guards block anypony from going down there.” Crystal said. “Well let’s grab the food and use the tunnel.” They went and got some maids and they took the baked goods to the Fort. At the fort Medley and Parry have been getting whispered about behind their backs. “how long do you think this will last?” “They all act like this until they get use to seeing us together.” Then Medley formed an Evil grin on her face and leaned closer to Parry. “Medley, What are you doing?” Medley kissed him hard and long then she said “that” All the fillies laughed and ran out of the room. Parry stood there in a dazed. “Parry, this has been fun but I have to get back to work. Bye honey.” Then Medley walked away. About a minute later Nyx showed up with the treats. “Parry, are you alright?” Nyx then waved her hoof in front of his face. No reaction. Nyx looked at the guard in the room and asked “what happen to him?” The Guard blushed “Medley kissed him, and now he is in shock.” Nyx remembered how Fluttershy told her how to snap somepony to out of shock. She ran and got a bucket of warm water and put his front hoof in it. Then she remembered that isn’t how to snap somepony out of shock, it is how Rainbow Dash made somepony... “Oh no.” Nyx said. She looked at the guard and he was trying not to laugh. “I didn’t do anything and I wasn’t here remember that. Ok” He nodded. And Nyx ran away. Some hours later Parry finally snapped out of it. “what am I standing in?” The guard said “Sir, it is um you know.” Parry smelled it and got embarrassed “I won’t tell any pony.” “make sure you don’t.” Parry went to look for something to clean it up with and he ran into Nyx. Nyx ran away and laughed. Parry Shook his head and went on to get something to clean it up the mess. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Shooting Star and Twilight just got out of their meeting. “you are right that was boring and nothing got done.” “So anything else on the list for today?” Twilight looked over the list. “Nothing that can’t wait for tomorrow. After going through that I want to take a long bath. Then read a good book. I now understand Celestia a little better now.” “Well, that’s good. Let’s go” then Shooting Star opened a portal to their Castle. When they got back Firefly and Nyx are laughing hard. Firefly said “you didn’t do that.” “Yes I did, I thought it would help but you know what happened.” Firefly laughed some more “I can’t look at Parry the same ever again.” Twilight asked “should I know what happened?” They both shook their heads. “Then make sure I don’t find out. I am taking a long bath. Then read a good book.” Twilight walked off. Shooting Star smiled at them and went to his magic laboratory. Later on after dinner Nyx got a magic lesson for Twilight. Nyx’s magic power is getting stronger in the past year. She is stronger than she was when Twilight found her. After they were done they went to bed.
chapter 2View OnlineNyx and the Night Ponieschapter 2The next day Nyx woke around 4:00 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. So she decided to get some warm milk and honey. Rarity said it helped her sleep. On the way to the kitchen she passed the library and she heard Twilight’s and shooting star’s voices. So she looked through the partly open door. As she looked in she saw Twilight and Shooting Star sitting at the table and with a fairy pony from the day before. she sitting on the table. Twilight was pacing “it is too soon for Nyx to go to the night ponies’ village.” Shooting Star agreed “I know it is too soon but we should get her ready for it still the same.” Shooting Star picked up a folder and handed it to Twilight. “I think Archaic Knowledge is the best pony to teach her the ways of the Night Ponies.” Looked at the folder “I like Archaic Knowledge she is very smart and would do well teaching Nyx.” Twilight said “but what will we tell Nyx so you wouldn’t be suspicious?” Twilight Worried. Shooting Star Smile “we both know Nyx love to learn and I think it is time for Nyx to lean to use more of her Alicorn magic.” “you’re right.” Twilight looked Worried. “I still don’t know about this prophecy.” Shooting Star got up and walked over to Twilight. “I think they are up for the challenge.” Twilight nodded “I hope your right. Well we should get breakfast.” She put the folder down then looked at the fairy pony. “Casablanca Lily, inform Night bloom we agree upon Archaic Knowledge as a teacher for Nyx.” With that the fairy pony got up and flew to the door. Nyx hurried to hide on one of the rooms nearby. She watched the Fairy Fly by and a little later she saw her mom and Shooting star walked off with the folders in their saddlebags. Then Nyx went back to her room and think over what she heard. Later that day Nyx was sat at in the courtyard with Rose. “Rose, what could you tell me about the Night Ponies?” Rose thought for a bit. “They live in the dark forest and they keep to themselves. That is all I think you should know.” “Why is that” Nyx pleaded. “Because I don’t think your mom would like me to tell you more.” Rosebud stood up. “I will be going now. Oh and we never talked about this. Ok?” she flew off “You got it Rose.” Nyx said. Nyx walked to the CMC Fort. And went up into a tower that out looked on Everfree and sit on a pillow tried to think of a pony that would know something and would tell her. “There is pinkie but she would pinkie promise, Rarity wouldn’t tell or AJ or RD. there is Fluttershy, but I don’t want to trouble her.” Nyx wracked her brain. “I would just have to confront my mom.” Nyx said to herself then she marched down to the dungeon and through the tunnel and right into the throne room. Before Nyx could speak twilight said something “Nyx, I am glad you’re here. Later today a mare from a clan of Unicorns would come here and teach you some magic.” “Is she from the Night ponies?” Nyx said expecting Twilight and Shooting Star to be surprised, but they just smile. “That is right, they are amazing ponies.” Twilight Said with a big smile. “But, But this morning when you were talking you acted like you were trying to hiding it from me and Rose told me that you don’t want her to tell me about them.” Nyx was very confused. Twilight looked mad “young Filly you shouldn’t eavesdrop on other ponies’ conversations.” Shooting Star Stop Twilight “Nyx what do you think we were hiding from you?” “I don’t know but it has to do with Night Pony village and a prophecy.” Nyx said. Twilight and Shooting Star laughed. “Ok, let’s start with the prophecy, a filly born of darkness that chooses the path of the light and a corrupted light that shines bright once more will protect the tree of life.” Then Shooting star point at Nyx. “The night ponies and the high unicorns believe you are the filly born of Darkness that chooses the path of the light, and Crystal is the Corrupted light that shines bright once more.” “We don’t want you to go to the Night Pony Village because things are not ready” Twilight walked over to her daughter and pulled Nyx next to her side. “Don’t worry you two will be going there soon.” “Why was all of this a secret from me?” Twilight thought it over “we didn’t keep it a secret, we just didn’t tell you. I am sure there are things that happen in your day you don’t tell us. We didn’t hide it nor did we tell anyone not to tell you.” “I have question that been bothering me.” “What is it sweetie?” “When will you two get married?” Twilight blushed and Puff of steam came for her heard. Shooting Star laughed “did Cadance put you up to asking that?” “No, I was wondering that. You two live together, spend long hour doing nothing but talking and flirting. Doesn’t it sound like your married?” Nyx pointed out. Twilight then said “the relationship between two ponies could be difficult to understand.” “What is so difficult to understand, do you love each other?” Nyx asked Shooting Star put Nyx on the throne so they are at eye level. “There are different types of love ponies feel for each other. There is the type of love you feel for a family member or friend. There is the love to feel for something that give you enjoyment, then there is the love you feel for some pony that make it so you can’t imagine you life without them. We are not sure what type of love we feel for one another yet. Does that answered you question?” Nyx nodded and hoped down. “So, you are saying that you love each other.” both Twilight and shooting Star blushed. And Nyx laughed as she run out of the room. Shooting Star said “she is too smart for our own good.” Twilight laughed and she looked up at Shooting Star. They both looked in each other in the eyes then looked away. “I have a dress fitting with Rarity.” with that Twilight run from the. She entered the sewing room “I am so stupid, so stupid” Rarity walked over “honey you are not stupid, you are Beautiful and smart” “Oh Rarity, well you listen to what I have to say?” Rarity agreed and Twilight shared all that just happen. Rarity smiled “Twilight Dear, you are in love.” “I know, I been fighting it because I didn’t want Cadance to be right. Earlier today Shooting star was reading a book on a cushion and he invited me to join him. I wanted to join him so bad.” Twilight confessed. “Why didn’t you join him?” “Because, he was messing with me.” Rarity shook her head “I will never understand your relationship. I know one thing for sure; you two are crazy for each other.” For the rest of the Fitting they talk about their plans for the Ball tomorrow. After they were done Twilight had dinner in her suite and then went to bed.
Chapter 3View OnlineNyx and the Night PoniesChapter 3It was the day of the Ball and Nyx was pacing when Pinkie walked in to the castle. “What’s wrong Nyxie?” “Nothing is wrong pinkie. Soft Soup is going to do a nightmare night special on my family.” Archaic Knowledge walked in from the hall way. She got to the castle sometime yesterday. “Who is Soft Soap?” “Well, over a year ago he did a story on Nyx, and after that he because the hottest celebrity reporter.” Then one of the butlers walked in with a pale yellow Pegasus with a brown mane. “Mister Soft Soup to see Princess Nyx.” “Thank you Stiff Upper Lip.” Nyx said. The butler bow and walked out. “Soft Soap, thank you for doing this, how was your trip?” Nyx asked Soft Soap smiled. “What happen to the Nyx that was a little filly. All I see is Princess Nyx of Equestria.” he teased her. Nyx’s face turned sour then spoke in a cold tone “we are not pleased.” Then Nyx smile. “Shouldn’t we get the interview over with?” Twilight walked out. “Look at you Nyx acting like such a Princess, but only seconds before he showed up you were pacing.” She teased. Nyx ignored the teasing “I think we should do the interview in the Parlor. This way please.” Soft Soap laughed “it is nice to see you Princess Twilight; I will interview you after we are done.” He walked after Nyx. Twilight saw Pinkie “what are you doing here Pinkie?” “Medley asked me to show Archaic Knowledge around Everfree.” Pinkie said. She turned and looked at Archaic Knowledge “Are you Archaic Knowledge. I am Pinkie Pie and I am your new best friend.” “Nice to meet you Ms. Pie.” Pinkie looked Archaic Knowledge in the eye. “Time is money and I don’t have much money. So we have to go.” With that Pinkie pulled Archaic Knowledge out the door. Shooting Star which was standing in the door to the throne room walked in. “is it just me or is Pinkie being more pinkie today.” “I might have let it slipped that Archaic Knowledge is from a lost tribe of ponies.” “Twilight, you know that Pinkie will be now on ultra super hipper Pinkie mode.” “You don’t say.” Twilight grinned. “So you planned this out with Medley?” “So what if I did. Who are the night ponies to think I am not good enough to teach my daughter magic?” “We went over this already. It isn’t that you are not good enough. It is that you don’t know much night magic and about the dark forces that fight within her heart.” “It isn’t like I couldn’t learn about all that.” “Twilight, you are spreading yourself too thin already.” “It is just so maddening that I can’t do all that I need to for my Daughter.” “You let the Quartet give Nyx baths and put her to bed.” “That is different that it is their job.” “Archaic Knowledge’s Job is to teach Nyx Magic.” “But magic have always been the thing I did with Nyx. Matter how busy I get I always spend some time teaching Nyx.” “You can still do that. Archaic Knowledge doesn’t know all the magic you know.” “it wouldn’t be the same.” Twilight calmed down. “I am doing this for Nyx. But would you let me be upset about it.” “I will but remember Luna couldn’t teach her this magic and she is the princess of the night. Imagine how much is eating her up. ” “why doesn’t Luna know this magic?” “Our parents died before she could get taught.” “if you don’t mind me asking. What happen to your parents?” “I don’t know I was too young to remember. And Celestia and Luna only tell me that they died protecting us all.” “That does sound like Celestia. she Give you information but not enough to be useful.” “Yes that is how she is.” Shooting star looked around. “So how is our little hostess doing?” “Nyx is doing fine. She is in parlor doing an interview right now with soft soap.” “Ready.” Shooting Star walked toward the parlor. “What are you doing?” “You know full well what I am doing.” Twilight sighed. The parlor is a large room modestly decorated. On one side of the room had large windows that look out into one of the many gardens. On the other side of the room was some bookshelves overflowing with books a sign of the Castle’s owners’ love of books. They are two couches at an angle to each other with a large oak coffee table in front of them. Crystal was sitting on one of the couches reading a book. Soft Soap and Nyx walked over and sat on the couches. Crystal look up from her book. “Nyx, did you need this room for something?” Soft Soap looked at the White filly. “Are you Princess Crystal?” “Well, Yea I am. who might you be?” “Sorry I am Soft Soap. What do you think of Nyx?” “What do you mean, as a Princess, as a friend, or as a pushy sister that wouldn’t let me help her with the Ball.” Soft Soap smiled “Let start with as a princess.” “She could be a great leader someday; she can direct many groups of ponies at once and know the value of listening to other ponies views.” “How about as your friend?” “She is fun to be around and have a good sense of humor. And she is very intelligent.” “And now a sister” “She is not letting me help her. So I am not very happy with her as a sister.” “But you do like her as a sister?” “I Love her, but it isn’t fair that she got to plan a ball and have it all to herself. It is true that Celestia told me that I get to plan the summer sun festival Ball. But that will take forever to get here.” Soft Soap smiled. “Nyx, could I interview you two together. This piece is on your whole family so it would make it easier for me.” “Sure, I don’t mind. Crystal needs to learn how to be interviewed anyways.” Crystal looked horrified. “Interview like in reporters; he is a reporter. I thought reporters are our enemies.” “We are, but you shouldn’t show fear around us; we can smell fear. It smells like corn chips.” Nyx gave Soft Soap a dirty look. “You really need to work on your jokes. Fear smells like corn chips” Nyx look at Crystal. “Soft Soap did a piece on me over a year ago. And clear up some misunderstandings.” “He is a good reporter?” “He seems to be liked. He is the hottest celebrity Report right now.” “I try to share with my reader something of the Celebrity life; like Sapphire Shores dolphin themed room, and how it is her lucky animal.” Crystal was amazed “that was you. A read that. So why are you interviewing us.” “Crystal, we are royalty. We have tea with Celestia at least once a week. I tell you what happen the last time Sapphire Shores had tea me. She came here all nervous. She hardly had any tea or tea cake, and it was princess this and your highness that. It was a night mare. That remind me Soft Soap do you care for some tea.” “No thank you I am fine. Sapphire Shores told me about her tea with you. She thought you acted like the perfect little princess. You even pour the tea for her.” “I also made the tea and I bagged Medley to make her famous Tea Cakes. I was disappointed that she didn’t have much of my tea or cake. after sapphire shore left Celestia came and had tea with me. And she told me why Sapphire Shore was nervous because she doesn’t know how to act around Royalty.” Crystal looked confused. “Why isn’t Soft soap nervous?” “The piece I did after Nyx’s was one of Celestia and Luna after last Nightmare night event. After doing a piece on the two high Princesses of east Kingdom of Equestria I had nothing to worry about.” “Please don’t bring up last Nightmare Night, what happen was very painful.” “What happened last Nightmare Night?” “I was pony napped and had all my magic forcefully removed from me.” Crystal eyes got wide and a tear roll back her cheek. “I am so sorry, I couldn’t imagine the pain you must have gone through. And you wanted to host that ball after what happened.” “yes, it wasn’t the ball’s fault it was a group of misguided ponies. They thought I was nothing but magic blob in the shape of a pony. But shouldn’t we get to the interview?” “Oh yes, before starting the Interview. I want to ask you one question off the record.” “Ok ask away.” “Is Shooting Star and Twilight dating?” Crystal and Nyx sighed. “We wish they would. They are always flirting and we know that like each other but they won’t take it as far as dating.” “Yeah we hinted and plain out told them to start dating. But they will not. It is because of that happen shortly before coming here.” “Yes that is a sad story. I couldn’t imagine what I would do if that happening to me. “ Soft Soap being a reporter can smell a juicy story and his mouth is watering “so what happened?” Nyx Smiled “do you really want to hear that story?” Soft Soap nodded. Crystal smiled. “Well I don’t know.” Crystal acted like she is thinking. “Sorry, it isn’t our story to tell.” Soft Soap knew he been played by two little Fillies. He pulled out a notepad and pencil “Fine, let’s start the interview.” For awhile they answered very easy questions. Like what is your favorite color? Then Soft Soap put down the pencil and notepad “that should do it. Now I just need the two ponies that are listening at the door to give me an interview.” Crystal and Nyx laughed and walked out of the room as Twilight and Shooting Star walked in. Nyx looked at the clock. “Crystal, you could get your costume on the others will be here soon.” “Oh no.” Crystal ran up the stairs and to the Quartet. “Do we still have enough time?” Snowcap smiled “you are cutting it close but I think we can do it.” With that the Quartet took Crystal into the bathroom and did their magic. The CMC showed up as Nyx was doing the final touches for the Ball. Sweetie Belle walked up to Nyx. “Nyx, you are not in your costume?” “Sorry I am not going out with you this year. But crystal is.” Then a filly sized Celestia walked down the stairs. As she got to the bottom of the stairs Celestia and Luna walked from the hallway. Celestia looked at the filly, turn to the side the filly mirrored Celestia. Every move Celestia did so do the filly. After a minute Luna walked up to the filly. “Come sister we don’t have time to play around we need to get our costumes on.” And she walked off with the filly. Celestia stood there for a sec then look at the CMC. “It looks like I am going trick or treating with you.” From the hallway they saw Crystal running back and she slidden to a stop between Celestia and her friends. “No you don’t this is my first year and I want to go.” Celestia frowned “you know I have haven’t gone once in all thousand years of this holiday.” Luna walked back. “Yes you did, last year before you got the candy you were a firepony. Soft Soap smile and took out a camera. “Can I get a picture of all the young ponies together?” They all got together and posed for the picture. But in the picture there were two Fillies with Celestia’s mane color, and one had a Pirate Costume on. Then the young Ponies left. Then Luna notice Celestia was missing. “She did it again.” Nyx pat Luna on the leg. “We don’t need her here to start the Ball. And I’ll take all her candy when she gets back. I am Nightmare Moon after all.” “Nyx, shouldn’t you get into your costume.” “yes I do.” with that Nyx ran up the stairs and to the Quartet. They smile and just took he in to the bathroom. A little time later Nyx walked into the Ballroom with her hair up in a beehive hairdo with an upside down visor and white high waters and orange blouse. Twilight laughed “you are Rarity’s mother for Nightmare night.” Cadence smile “you look very cute Nyx.” Nyx Smiled. “thank you, look very pregnant.” “Thanks, where is aunty Celestia?” “She is out trick or treating.” “I should have known, she said she started with me because she was afeard of me doing it alone but the castle Staff told me that she have been doing it as long as any of them worked there.” “I know it, I guess I will overlook it but why not tell the truth about it. It isn’t like any of us would care that much.” Luna said. “It is just her little game.” Twilight said. “Well it is time to open the gates for the Ball, good luck Nyxie sticks.” Nyx took a deep breath and have the guards open the gates. The ball started without a hitch. The first to arrive were her grandparents Twilight Velvet and Night light. The Ballroom soon filled up with celebrities and nobles. Then after some time her friends came back and so did Celestia. It was a clear night the stars were shining bright like Luna have polish then for tonight’s ball. It was a great night to go for a blimp ride. Prince blueblood was enjoying doing just that, maybe enjoying it too much. He was at the wheel with a large bottle of hard cider. “my stupid father, because of him we lose our title. Hehe” He saw a sign that said “by Royal decree no pony should enter this cave.” “Who do they think they are telling me what to do?” Prince Blueblood slurred as he turned his ship toward the cave. Then when his ship was facing the cave he went full speed into the cave. At the ball everything was going well; there were enough food, drinks and music. Celestia and Luna were standing next to Crystal enjoy the ball, until that felt the magic of a pony that never wanted to see ever again. They look at each other. “Luna, it can’t be can it?” “Sister we should check, there is no harm in checking is there?” Celestia nodded and they teleported away. What they feared came true. The large crystal was shattered by the force of Prince Blueblood’s blimp crashing into it. Luna found Blueblood leaning against the steering Wheel drinking his cider. “you stupid fool, do you know what you did?” Blueblood smiled “I crashed my blimp. Hehehe.” “leave the fool alone Luna we have more important thing to do now.” “you’re right.” Then Luna and Celestia teleported back to the Ball. Celestia walk to the DJ stage and grab the microphone. She turned off the music. “the party is over please go home.” She walked out of the Ball room and to the Throne room, and paced until other Royal ponies, the Elements of harmony, and the founder of the CMC walked in. Nyx was confused. “Why did you stop my Ball?” Twilight saw I look on Celestia’s face that she have never saw before; Fear. And Luna didn’t look right either. She looks like a she is stuck in a Nightmare. “Where is Medley and Firefly? “ “Princess we are here.” They flew in and landed in front of her Luna said “she is free!” they looked worried. “You know what to do right.” They nodded then Celestia and Luna open a portal each and the Pegasi Flew through one of them each. “Celestia what happen.” Celestia turned and open a another portal “we have to go, now!!” They all follow Celestia through the portal to a beautiful garden that was in front of a castle. The castle was white and sat on top of a huge tree. Nestled in the root of the tree is the Town of the Night Ponies. The castle had gold archaic letters engraved into it from a long forgotten race of ponies; it also has red rose bushes climbing the exterior walls. It all had a Fantasy novel feeling. “I know that place. But from where.” Shooting Star asked. “this was our home before Everfree.” Celestia started to walking into the Castle “Follow me.” As that walked through the majestic hall of white marble they notice hanging tapestry; each telling the story of the ponies that lived there before. Most had Celestia and Luna in them. Celestia lead the group of ponies into a Courtyard. It was a wide and open courtyard full of the ghost of the past. If you stood quietly you would hear the laughter of a Filly Celestia and Luna playing with their parents. The Courtyard has a little gazebo to one side but your eyes were drawn to the white tree in the middle of the Courtyard. It had a magical feeling to it. Celestia turned and face the ponies. “Once all of the Alicorns live in a kingdom out of time and space. There was an Alicorn for each type of magic and every celestial body. We lived happily with our friends and Family. That until one Alicorn wasn’t happy with the magic she was given. And she looked to find a new magic. She looked into forbidden magic. She thought she could master that magic and become a greater Alicorn. But she became twisted and cursed by that magic. Then she started to kill off Alicorns one by one. That was until the masters of Day and night, our parents stepped in and sealed her with their life. By then only three Alicorns were left Luna, Shooting Star and I. This evening a foolish Pony crashed their blimp into the Crystal prison what was holding her and freed her.” “What can we do?” Celestia frowned “We can’t do anything. They can.” She pointed of Crystal and Nyx. “Well not quite yet, but after they are trained.” Luna stepped forward. “Firefly and Medley went off to do a mass forgetfulness spell. Every pony that isn’t in this Castle when it goes off will forget all about Alicorns and everyone that is here.” “So Big Mac and Granny smith will forget about me and Apple Bloom?” “Yes, but only until the spell is reversed.” Luna clarified. “I thought this castle was lost to time like the rest of the Alicorn kingdom.” “Our parents knew that the kingdom will crumble without the Alicorns magic, so they took our castle and lock it in your heart. When you changed Equestria you also unknowing put the castle in Equestria. Thanks to that we have a place to hide Nyx and Crystal until they are ready.” Celestia said. Nyx looked worried. “What if we are never ready?” Luna put her wing over Nyx. “Look around you. You have ponies that believe in you. So trust in yourself like that trust in you.” Medley and Firefly walked into the courtyard. “It is done you have ten minutes before the spell goes off.” “Medley, you have the box right?” “Here it is.” There in Medley’s back is the richly decorated box of the Elements of Harmony. Celestia took the box and opened it and took out the Elements of Harmony and place them in the tree. The tree glow and magic flowed through the castle. Luna walked over to Nyx and Celestia walk over to Crystal. The two older Alicorn touched horns with the two younger Alicorns. Magic flowed from the older to the younger. Then Celestia and Luna walked to the other side of the courtyard. Then turn to face the ponies. “Nyx and Crystal you have to raise the sun and moon from now on, Have Twilight and Shooting Star help you until you can do it on your own.” Then they teleported away.
Chapter 4View OnlineNyx and the Night PoniesChapter 4The scene at the Castle was chaos Fluttershy was crying, everyone else as shell-shocked well everyone but Nyx who was stooping and kicking around. “How dare they do this to us? We can’t, we are too young to handle the Sun and moon by ourselves.” In this scene disorder the castle staff swooped lead by the Quartet and Nurse’s Corner. They set up tea and treats of all types for the ponies. Medley opened her saddlebag and a white little bunny jumped out. “Ok Angel, you know what to do.” The bunny nodded and went over to Fluttershy. Then kicked her head. Fluttershy looked up and saw Angel smiling at her. “Oh Angel.” Fluttershy hugged the bunny and cried. As Angel pet her head. The maids were giving Rarity ice-cream by the 5 gallon bucket. Twilight was given a stack of books to read. Firefly challenge Rainbow Dash to a race around the castle. Applejack was lead to the kitchen to bake something. The Quartet led the CMC and Crystal to the bathroom to give them a long bath. And Nurse’s corner listened to Nyx’s rant and just waited for the anger to dissipate, because when it fades Nyx will cry her little heart out. In an open field somewhere Equestria Celestia and Luna was putting on their battle armor. “Celestia, it is too soon for this.” “Luna Dear Sister, things never happen when we are ready. All we can do is do what we can and trust in our little ponies to do that rest.” Luna put on her helmet and stabbed her great sword of the moon in the ground. “I just wished I spent more time with them.” Celestia pulled out her flaming sword of the sun. “Me too sister, me too.” Celestia took a deep breath. “let’s do this Luna.” Celestia and Luna start to use flashy magic that can be seen from orbit. “You fillies still don’t know what subtlety is do you” Celestia and Luna turn to see an older Alicorn in her own battle armor and her own magic sword. “I see you’re doing well Aunt Andromeda.” Celestia said with a teasing sarcasm. “I am doing quite well thank you. Now where are the rest of the Alicorns?” “You have to beat us to find out.” Luna said lifting her sword. “I was planning to beat you anyways, but now I will forcefully take that knowledge out of your heads also.” Then Andromeda charged at the two younger mares. Luna blocked the struck and Celestia went around the side and cut a searing cut on her flank. She jumped back. “You have learned to fight while I was imprisoned. Good this will be fun.” She healed the cut and she was about to attack again when a wall of magic came she shielded herself. Celestia and Luna smiled “you have lost. When this hit us we will forget all about where the other Alicorns are.” Then they dive into the wall of magic. Andromeda sat helpless as her goal slipped away. Back in the Castle Crystal and the CMC was sitting in the bath as the Quartet gets some more mane gel. Sweetie Belle looked around. “Will Celestia and Luna be alright?” Scootaloo jumped up “of course they will be. They are all powerful Alicorns. They will beat this stupid mare and be back without a stretch.” “I don’t think that is how it will happen. They gave me and Nyx the right to raise the Sun and moon before they left. That is something you do if you don’t plan on coming back.” “Crystal, are you saying there is no hope!” Scootaloo yelled. “There is hope I think. Celestia and Luna left Nyx and me here to train and learn to use our magic.” Sweetie Belle move her hoof around in the water “but if Celestia and Luna couldn’t do it how can you two do.” Apple Bloom was thinking things over until now. “Remember they are not here alone, they have us Twilight, my sister, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Cadence, Shining Armor.” “We get it Apple Bloom. They are a lot of ponies helping them.” “Yeah with all of us ponies working together we can do anything.” The Filly got out of the Bath and left the Bathroom to find the quartet with towels to dry them off. “It is good to see that the bath did some good.” “Yeah, it did. By the way what happen with getting Mane gel?” “You don’t need mane gel, you are perfect the way you are.” The fillies laughed then the Quartet towel them off and took them back to the courtyard where the others were. The scene was not as chaotic. Fluttershy have stopped Crying thanks to Angel. Twilight was holding a puff eyed Nyx. Rarity was sipping tea with Cadence. Shining Armor was having a Pushup contest with Rainbow. Firefly was talking with a guard. And Applejack didn’t feel like baking so she had hoofed made apple cider, and was rolling a barrel of it into the Courtyard. Medley thought it was time to tell them what Celestia told her. “Would everypony come here?” When they go around her, she started. “I think it is about time I tell you what is going on. As most of you have guessed Celestia and Luna went off to fight a foe with no hope of returning. The foe is Andromeda one of the most powerful Alicorns ever known. Her desire is to be the only Alicorn and to rule over all things.” Rarity asked. “Is there any hope of them winning?” Shooting Star answered “no, there isn’t... Celestia and Luna could only control the sun and moon. Andromeda controlled a whole galaxy.” Twilight wondered “if there was no hope is victory why did they go.” “It was protect us.” Shooting Star said looking down. “We are too weak to be of any help to them; like I was always too weak to help them in any fight.” Medley hit Shooting star as hard as she can. “You are still so foolish. They didn’t want you to go to battle with them because they loved you. And it would hurt them more to see you get hurt than if they get hurt themselves.” “You mean it would hurt as much as me seeing them come home with cuts and bruises, and knowing that I was no help to them.” Firefly walked over. “Ok, I didn’t want to see you hurt. Either did Medley and the whole castle stuff. We wanted to know that our Strong Shooting Star is still our strong Prince. Celestia and Luna came back and heal up and you take over the Castle and made everything run smoothly. So when our Princesses were down you were our strength.” “That was because that was all I could do. Celestia and Luna wouldn’t let me protect my kingdom.” Snowcap walked up to Shooting star. “They always did let you to protect the kingdom. When you were left behind it is so they know the kingdom is safe until they come back. Celestia have told me every time she sent Twilight off on a mission how she admired you, because she knows now how hard it was to stay behind. She also told stories of you.” She smile and laughed “I always thought she was just a doting older sister.” “So you’re saying she left me here to protect everyone?” Twilight put a hoof on his shoulder. “Yes and no. we also will protect you.” Sweetie Belle stepped forward. “We were talking in the bath. And we decided that we are stronger together. And that is the only way he have any hope of winning any battle.” Cadence smiled “From the mouths of babes. Celestia told me many times that we should listen to our young ponies. She told me that they see the world sometime more clearly than us older ponies. It is true here. Celestia and Luna fought alone thinking it was the only way. But it isn’t. I think we all should study and learn so we can find a way to win against Andromeda.” All the ponies agreed and went to work. Six months past and in the darkest part of Canterlot Castle Celestia and Luna were chained up. Andromeda casted a spell to try to bring back the memories of them. They lay motionless on the ground. “This would be a lot easier on you if you just tell me how to reverse the Forgetfulness Spell.” Luna lifted her head. “Even if we know, we wouldn’t tell you” “I give it to you; you have spirit, but how long will that spirit last.” Celestia laughed weakly “so far it lasted Six months and I will tell you it will last for the rest of time. I don’t know who we are protecting but I know it is worth it.” Andromeda stormed out. Celestia Shakily got up. “Are you alright sister?” “As alright as I can be I guess.” Luna tried to get up but fell to the ground. “Here Luna, I will help you up.” Celestia let Luna lean against her. Then help her to a her bed. “Thank you. I wonder if the ponies we are helping are doing fine.” “I know they are. Luna, get some sleep. We don’t know when she will be back.” Back at the Castle Nyx was reading a book. She picked it up and throw it across the room onto a pile. “It’s another dead end. When will we find something useful?” Twilight looked up from her book. “You know it wouldn’t come to us over night.” “I know but it been forever. If only we can drain her power like I was drained that nightmare night.” Twilight mused “only if…. Wait Nyx that might be a plan.” Twilight search through the pile of books and found the books she was looking for. “Nyx tell Shooting Star I might have a plan.” Nyx ran off to get everyone. After every pony got there Twilight said “it is still not complete but I might have I way. Scootaloo you were studying Dance magic?” “Yes but I didn’t find much that would help.” “Didn’t you tell me about a dance of harmony?” “Yes but all it does to give power to a spell. And you have to have an Unicorn, a Pegasus and an Earth pony.” “Could you teach it to the others.” “I guess.” “Sweetie Belle, you told me about some Music Magic that amplifies a spell.” “Yes there is a spell like that.” “Can you record it?” “Yes.” Twilight open a book and show a picture. “Apple bloom can you build 14 of these?” Apple bloom looked at the picture and read under it. “It looks like I can.” “Ok if you three can do that we might to able to pull this off.” One Week later Firefly went to Canterlot with a letter of challenge for Andromeda. After accepting the challenge Andromeda ran got Celestia and Luna and Teleported to the Battlefield. She was met by 14 ponies holding crystal spares. “So that is their plan, beat me with numbers. Celestia and Luna watch me kill your little ponies.” Then she threw them like ragdolls. She walked toward the ponies smiling like she has already won. Then she got close enough to talk. “Give up now and I might let some of you live.” Then they ran around her and space themselves in a circle around her. “I like spirit so I will let you have the first attack and I will not even block it.” Twilight smiled. “now!!” all the ponies took the spares and stab it into the ground and a magic circle appeared. And magic vines came up and bind Andromeda. Then each Spare played music and the vines got thinker. “Nyx, Crystal now it is up to you.” Twilight and the rest of the ponies ran over to Celestia and Luna. Celestia looked up and said weakly “you ponies are so beautiful.” “Yes they are sister.” Twilight pulled a crystal digger out of her Saddlebag. And stab in the ground and another magic circle appeared. Then they got in groups of three with one of each type of pony and one group of Alicorns. Then they start to dance. And magic flows into Celestia and Luna. Andromeda smirked “it is no use, even with Celestia and Luna you are no match for me. And anyways I would be out of these binds in a minute.” Nyx smiled. “Really you will be done for is two seconds. One” Crystal and Nyx open their winds. “ and Two.” They lift off and flew backward. When Nyx got drained it was like ribbons of Magic coming from her, but Andromeda it what a pillar of magic that went into space. When the dust cleared a filly Alicorn laid on the ground. Celestia have gotten back most of her strength by then. “What are you going to do with her?” “I don’t know that is as far I planed, it was incomplete. I was hoping you would fill in the pieces I missed.” “For the time being let’s take her back to the Castle.” “Good idea Shooting Star.” Then Shooting Star pick up the unconscious Filly and open a portal. They all walked through and went to the tree. “Celestia, how do we reverse the Forgetfulness Spell?” “I don’t know. Wasn’t it you that cast the spell?” Nyx said “No, it was you who set up a magic bomb with a forgetfulness Spell in it.” Celestia smiled “That was smart of me.” The filly Andromeda stood up “now I know where you were hiding mahahah.” “She isn’t that scary anymore.” Crystal remarked. “yeah, It is kind of sad” Nyx added. “Of course I am scary.” Nyx pointed at a pool of water at the bottom of a fountain. “Look for yourself.” She walked over to the Fountain and look in. “What have you done to me, it has to be a trick. I just need to break the curse.” She tried to use her magic, but nothing happened. “It isn’t a trick or a curse you have no more magic, I know it happen to me once. If you promise to be nice I will give you some magic.” “What if I Promise and go back on my word?” “I guess you would be just a liar.” “Ok give me some magic I will be nice.” Nyx Smile and touch horns with her and give her some magic. “That felt nice.” “I know, when I got my magic drained Cadence give be some magic it was wonderful.” Nurse’s Corner brought out a gallon of Ice cream and sundae makings. And was setting out bowls. Nyx Smiled “come on Andromeda let’s get some Ice Cream.” Andromeda walked over unsure of this “Ice Cream” stuff. The other fillies seem to like it and she took a spoon full and put it in her mouth. It was creamy and sweet and cold. She saw that the others put nuts and other things in theirs. But she couldn’t see why they would do such a thing. It was perfect the way it was. Sweetie belle wondered “now that Adorama is a filly wouldn’t her Galaxy stop working?” Adorama put some ice cream in her mouth and chew. “I am not like those fillies Celestia and Luna. I know how to set an orbit for Celestial bodies. So all I have to do is just keep an eye on them.” Scootaloo said. “Who do you think is the filly now?” “I might be in this Body but I am over 13 billion years old. Celestia is only 4 Billion years old. In other words she is but a filly to me. And Luna and Shooting Star aren’t even a billion years old so they are only foals like the rest of you.” She lifted her bowl to let them know she need more Ice-cream. “This Ice cream is quite satisfying.” Sweetie belle asked “Didn’t they have ice cream back in your time?” Celestia said. “Ice cream only became popular in the last hundred years. Because before that Sugar was hard to process. So cakes and Ice Cream was something you didn’t as much.” “If at all; I guess I would help you as thanks for the Ice cream. If I was them I would give the keys to reverse the forgetfulness spell to one of you. And make it so all you have to do is touch your horn to the tree of harmony. Have it an easy as possible.” Twilight looked at Crystal and Nyx. “It can’t be that easy, can it? Nyx, Crystal, would you touch your horn to the tree.” When they touch their horns to the tree a magic wave came from the tree and went over Equestria. Andromeda took another bite. “See how easy it was.” For the rest of the day Nyx and Crystal dragged Andromeda around the castle showing her the great places for fillies Alicorns to go. Like the balcony on the third floor and on the west side. If you spread your wings you can float in midair. And the west wing on the second floor it makes spooky noises at night. Even though Andromeda has the knowledge of a grown Pony, her child’s mind and body was having fun. The next morning they all went back to their Kingdoms. After six months of absence the adult Ponies have lots of work to catch up on. And the Fillies have six months of homework. Andromeda attended School and was disappointed. First the students don’t know the history of the great Alicorn race, or the relationship between Celestial Bodies. She decided she will never go again, and that Crystal and Nyx need to learn the right way to be an Alicorn. So she started teaching them the ways of the Alicorn, even if someday she might go against them again. She will teach them so if that day comes she will have a good fight. But that wouldn’t happen for another two thousand years if ever. Anyways she has new magic to learn and new foods to try. Author's Note I know I rushed through this story. Someday I might go back rewrite it to have more about the night ponies and how they live. I have all type of notes on them. I just wanted to finish this Story.
