You Can Let Go Now

Poniesdale hospital, rain pattering on the roof of the room. Tears flowing down a young light blue alicorn stallion's face. A high aged darkish blue pegasus mare laying on the hospital bed. Her eyes closed after having a serious attack.

"Rainbow." the alicorn stallion cried.

The alicorn stallion seemed to be thinking, thinking deeply about thoughts.

Come on Conner, you can do it! a voice in his head called.

I'm not sure, I don't think it'll work. a unicorn colt answered.

If you can't levitate yourself off the ground, I'll catch you! Trust me!

The colt swallowed, as he casts the spell and levitated off the cliff. He opened his eyes and started falling.

RAINBOW! the colt screamed.

The pegasus flew quickly down to catch him. She snatched him up bringing him up to the top again.

See I told ya, you could trust me.

Thanks Rainbow, you're the best big sister ever!

The young alicorn smiled at the memory. The darkish blue mare started to open her eyes.

"Rainbow?" Conner asked.

"Hey buddy, *Cough* What are you doing here? Don't you have to be with the princesses?" Rainbow asked.

"I wanted to spend time with my sister for the last time."

"What do you mean?"

"It's time for you to go. Joining the others that were once around."

"I figured it had to be sometime."

The alicorn stallion's eyes started filling up with tears. His beautiful eyes hurting from the thought of losing his sister. Using his magic to peacefully take her to the land above Heavensville.

"Will you be okay with me using my magic to let you go?" Conner asked.

"It will be great. *Cough* I would love it." Rainbow answered.

Silence.

"Do you remember the time when you first said my name?" Rainbow asked.

"Vaguely." Conner answered.

" Well, when you were born, mom held you in her hooves and said, ' Meet your little brother Conner.' I thought you would be a pegasus like me, instead you turned out to be a unicorn. I didn't think you would be as awesome as me, as you are now. But, when I was forced to babysit you for the first time, you drove me up the wall! I started to cry. You realized what you had done; you laid down next to me. I put you in bed and you fell asleep. Mom and dad came home and looked in your room. When we walked in, seeing you asleep. Mom and dad were so proud of me, but then you said my name. That was the first word you had ever spoke. I was so happy. Then I began to take you in as my little brother. I didn't care anymore that you were a unicorn, I wanted you to go far beyond what a pegasus could do, and seeing you now, you did it. thanks to me. I knew you needed me, and I needed you. When I you left me here, it was the hardest thing I could do, you are more than a brother to me, you're like my son."

"From that day I saw you for the first time, I felt that you were like my mother. When I left you, it was hard. But I really wanted to go somewhere, like you had encouraged me. I love you more than any pony else."

Rainbow started to cough harder. Like she was trying to cough something up. The darkish blue in her fur was turning pale. She truly was dying. Tears came to Conner's eyes, the time had come.

"I think it is time Rainbow. I just wanted to say, I love you more than anything in this whole world. I... I just wanted you to have that in your mind. As the last words you heard from me. I love you." Conner cried.

He used his power to cast the spell. Tears sprinting down is face. Within seconds, the blue pegasus was gone. He stopped the spell, looking at her lifeless body. Hugging her for the last time, the lifeless body, that was once his sister.
