//-------------------------------------------------------// FireShine -by FireShine- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting FireShine //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting FireShine     Twilight stood there in shock, knees shaky staring straight at Celestia. The 5 behind her were giving straight on worried looks as Twilight was about to burst with confusion. Princess Celestia sat tall and proud on her velvety throne, her warm kind eyes weren't shown right now, for her eyes were cold and bold.     "H-How could you not tell me," Twilight said with a mixture of surprise and frustration.      "We can't let the secret out to anybody," Celestia responded.       Twilight felt betrayed. How could Princess Celestia not tell her she had been keeping a child in secrecy for the past years?!     "I-I don't understand," Twilight said, starting to fiddle with her hooves. "Why keep your daughter secret like that? Why is she so...different?"     Princess Celestia gave off a stern look and got up from her throne. She walked over to the glass walls with all the stained drawings that had the light shining through them. The mane six's eyes followed her.     "She is dangerous. If we let her out the fate of Equestria could be ruined. She is like no daughter. She is a monster." Princess Celestia shot a serious look at Twilight, one she had never gone before. Twilight had a horrendous look on her face. She wondered to herself, how horrible can she be?     The majestic princess pony pursed her lips. "Would you like to meet her?"     Twilight wasn't so sure, but she was curious. So she simply nodded her head, sending her purple and pink locks flying a bit.    Using the magic of her long horn, Celestia opened the large wooden doors of the room. A pegasus slowly walked in,not making eye contact with anypony. Her appearance was quite stunning. Her coat was a bright yellow. Her mane was orange with the Pinkamena hairstyle. Her eyes were a dark ruby. Absolutely stunning. But that wasn't what caught Twilights eye the most...what caught her eyes was the cutie mark. It was a fire...a ball of fire. A hot, bright, ball of fire.     "This is a monster?" Rainbowdash sneered. "She looks like us!"     With that said, the Pegasus's mane turned into pure fire and curled around Rainbowdash's neck and choked her mildly. In shock, the ponies took a few steps back. Rainbowdash was coughing a little bit but was alright after a few seconds, she slowly trotted back to her friends in fear.    "This is FireShine, my adopted daughter. Rainbowdash, be more careful with who you mess around with. You're not the toughest pony in Equestria," Princess Celestia said. She slowly leaned to Twilight and whispered, "When she gets upset, her hair may flame up, I'm not sure how but it's extremely dangerous which is why we've had to keep her here for her entire life."     Twilight nodded but the other ponies were still in shock by FireShine's fiery mane. FireShine had a cold look and seemed as if she was annoyed in a school, slowly waiting for the bell to ring so she could get out like she was trapped. Twilight felt sorry, she felt as if she had to let her free.  Celestia beckoned the guards to take FireShine back to wherever she stays. As the doors shut, Celestia turned to the ponies. Rainbowdash was at her knees, trying to rub the pain of he burns she received by the fire. Celestia sighed and healed her with a wave of her horn.     "Look ponies, this is a secret that can't be told. If it is somehow leaked...there will be consequences. Do you hear me?" The mane six nodded surely of themselves, while Twilight gave off an unsure nod.  "Good. You may go home." Applejack, Rainbowdash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rairty all ran out as fast as they could. Twilight stayed.     "Princess Celestia...you don't just leave her locked up all day and night, do you?" Princess Celestia sighed.     "Twilight...I wish I could say no, but I can't. We can't have Equestria have any more danger."     Twilight, disappointed, left the room. She knew it wasn't over yet though, it would never be over. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Destruction Begins //-------------------------------------------------------// The Destruction Begins     The sun rose up in the sky, and everypony were waking up and beginning their work. FireShine was standing in the middle of Canterlot, standing lost as the cool morning breeze blew through her orange locks. She spread her wings apart and evilly smiled. With one flap, she was miles in the sky. She put her hooves infront of herself and flew as fast as she could, leaving a trail of fire behind her as she soared around. The ponies back on earth were gasping in fear when they saw some strange object in the sky. she was flying in zigzags, circles, and curves around in the sky. And her speed, oh, her speed. She was faster than any Wonderbolt Equestria had ever seen. The ponies began to panic and alarming the Princess of this strange "thing" and sent Celestia also flying in the sky. Princess Celestia was very graceful like a swan with her feathery wings absorbing the air. She saw the fire in the sky and was very concerned, she slowly flew closer and saw what it was.     "FireShine?! How did you escape the castle," Princess Celestia called from several feet away. FireShine ignored Celestia and moved closer to her.     She laughed and said, "I have never flew like this before, and this time you will not be here to tell me not to." FireShine's mane turned into flames once again and made the princess sweat. FireShine turned and soared away south, heading to Ponyville. As she flew she gazed down at the ground, all the ponies doing their work and happy. FireShine was disgusted by that. With her speed, she got to Ponyville in seconds. She was right in front of the apple farm of Ponyville.     FireShine crept over to the farm. She peeked over the fence to see Applejack, Big Macintosh, and Applebloom at work. FireShine grinned. With a wave of her flaming tail, she slapped the fence and caused it to set on fire. Applejack turned her big green eyes to notice the whole fence covered in flames. The fire spread to the grass and trees very quickly. Applejack scooped up AppleBloom and ran toward the non buring area. Big Macintosh followed them. The fire was inches away from them now, when all of a sudden a group of pegasai flew over them. They were rescuers, a neighbor must've called them over when they noticed the flames. FireShine growled and flicked her tail, sending a fireball at the pegasai, hitting one and fell on the ground. The rescuer pegasai flew as quick as they could and scooped the ponies on their backs and carried them to safety. FireShine frowned, but then turned her head to see the whole farm in flames. Her mane turned back into regular hair as she smiled at her work. She trotted away from the fire and into the plaza.     "Now the fun begins," FireShine said to herself. //-------------------------------------------------------// Applejack's Injuries //-------------------------------------------------------// Applejack's Injuries     Twilight panted and heaved as she was flying, her giant feathery wings getting cramps. She was panicked, very panicked. She had just received a call fro the pony hospital stating about the apple family's injuries. Big Macintosh's lungs were mildly injured from the smoke, Applebloom got a mild concussion from falling debris, and Applejack was covered in severe burns. Twilight was worried about AJ, hoping that she'd be alright. But what really worried Twilight was much worse. Who did it? Who set the Apple Farm on fire? Twilight bit her lip, hoping that it wasn't what she thought it was.     Twilight Sparkle was 2 feet away from the door. She took a nice deep breath and walked in. The waiting room was quite small and cramped up. It had sailboats for wallpaper and a nice grassy rug. Black leathery couches lined all the corners as well as one in the center. Ponies of all kinds were sitting in the many cushions of the couches. Elders, grown-ups, children, and babies. Unicorns, pegasai, and earth ponies. Twilight trotted over to the front desk where a green pony was sitting there, adjusting her eye-liner.     "Excuse me, I'm here to see Applejack."     "Who exactly are you?"     "Twilight Sparkle."     The green pony sighed and turned over to the list of ponies that were scheduled to come in.     "Oh, Twilight Sparkle, here you are. Right this way." The green pony beckoned Twilight to follow her and led her to a room that said 809. Twilight galloped in and the green pony slammed the door. Twilight walked over to Applejack who was covered in blankets. She stared at the orange pony for a moment. Her face was covered in bruises and cuts and burns. Twilight teared up and started to sob. Applejack on the other hand was unconscious.    Suddenly a unicorn walked in. He had a square shaped head and wore a white shiny coat. He of course was the doctor.     "Excuse me," the doctor warned. "Who are you?"     Twilight glanced up to see the doctor. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, a friend of Applejack."     "Ah, well I guess you're looking for an update," said the doctor.     "Well, I, um-"     "Applejack has severe burns of course and is on antibiotics for the moment which have a side effect of sleeping. She is injured badly but will not die. She just must be kept here for a few months for her bruns to recover, then she'll be ready to go. Her siblings on the other hand will be let out in a week."     Twilight was very relieved. She would not be able to take her dying because of she messed up. Twilight couldn't help but smile.     "Thanks, doc," she said and headed out of the room. With that off her chest, she headed out the door into the clouds. She was still quite worried that FireShine will cause more mischief. Twilight thought about it for a moment and then it hit her. Why not gather all her friends (Minus Applejack.) and make a secret search team? Her friends will definitely be in on it, she hoped. She zoomed back to her house and began dialing numbers. //-------------------------------------------------------// Shimmery Bloom //-------------------------------------------------------// Shimmery Bloom     "Alright everypony," Twilight said. "I bet you're wondering why I gathered you here.     "To throw a party?"     "To get makeovers?"     "To have a race?"     "To nurture animals?"     "No, no, no, no! Remember that fire pegasus that is Princess Celstia's secret adopted daughter?" The 4 nodded. "Well, um, I kind of set her free, and now we have to find her and well, I haven't really thought about what to do when we find her."     "You set her free?!" Rainbowdash exclaimed. She flew over to Twilight and put her hooves on her head. "Are you NUTS?!"     "I have to agree, and believe me, I know nuts," Pinkie Pie couldn't help but to say.     "I have to say, it was a mistake to set FireShine free from the castle but I'll help you find her. We all make mistakes," Fluttershy heartedly said.    Twilight shook her head in annoyance. "You guys! You have to help me, we cannot have Princess Celestia finding out what I did, my life will practically be over and Celestia won't think of me as her best student anymore!"    "Fine I'll help you dear," Rarity said with a flip of her purple mane.     "I will too, I guess." Dash added.     "Me three!" Pinkie yelled.     "Me four," Fluttershy shyly said.     "Well then lets go find this pony!"     The 5 ponies ran out the door and began their search. * * *     Shimmery Bloom skipped down the street that was lined with carts of ponies selling things and pedestrians. Shimmery Bloom's deep purple mane was flapping as she skipped with her head up high.     "Good morning, Shimmery Bloom!"     "Good afternoon, Shimmer!"     "What a wonderful evening, Bloomy!"     All ponies greeted the dark blue unicorn as she trotted back and fourth around the same street for every day and night. Shimmery Bloom almost tripped with the heavy hay stack on her back but regained her balance. She was very likeable and liked by every pony in sight. When a pony was in need, she helped them at all times. She was known for that. I mean, yeah she was also known as the hay deliverer but she was more than that. She was kind.     FireShine smirked and walked creepily around the plaza, eyeing and making faces at all the unseen ponies around her. She crossed by a loud seller that was  selling oranges. She crossed by a quiet seller selling jewelry. So many people, so many faces, just how she liked it. She could easily cause mischief around here. Shimmery Bloom was on selling duty today, at a stand selling hay stacks to the nearby pedestrians. FireShine did like all the people, but only because she hated them. She could do bad things to them. She was unstoppable. She glanced at the hay stacks that were being sold. She chuckled because she knew that hay can be flammable.     "Excuse me, are these hay stacks for sale?" FireShine asked.     "Yes they are, would you like to make a purchase?" Shimmery Bloom had kind blue eyes that were staring straight at the fire pony. Her smile was kind and gentle until the fire pony's mane and tail burst into pure flames. Shimmery Bloom gasped and leaped back but FireShine acted as if she didn't notice her burning mane.     "Hmmm...is this one available?" FireShine said as she hovered her mane over the hay and set it on fire. "Or is this one available?" the flaming pony said as she walked over to another and set it on fire. The fire spread quickly so Shimmer Bloom leaped out of her seat which was behind the hay.     "Hey! You can't set my hay on fire!" Shimmery Bloom said as if she was fearless. By now everypony were staring at the two, backing away.     "Hmmm well I just did, and soon the whole plaza will be set on fire as well." As Shimmery Bloom was being distracted by her emotions, the fire was spreading to other stands.     "Everyone! RUN!" Shimmery Bloom warned everyone as the fire was spreading. FireShine cackled and flew up into the clouds where no one could see her. Most ponies were able to escape but some were trapped. Shimmery Bloom, one of the ponies able to escape had to save everypony. She teleported herself back into the flames.     She ran to a circle of trapped ponies and started to put them on her back and teleporting them to safety with her magic. She suddenly heard a horn and glanced up. There, the same rescue ponies that saved the apple family were ready to, well, rescue!  They again scooped up the trapped ponies including Shimmery Bloom and guarded them to safety. Everypony was safe thanks to Shimmery Bloom. She sighed in relief and collapsed to her knees.     "Wow, you're a hero," said a rescue pony as she found Shimmery Bloom through the crowd of ponies.     "Oh, it was nothing," Shimmery Bloom hacked. She was violently coughing of the smoke that caught in her lungs.     "Why don't we clean you up," said the rescue pony. She huddled Shimmery Bloom onto her back and flew to a hospital. By then Shimmery Bloom was passed out. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pony Olympics //-------------------------------------------------------// Pony Olympics     Princess Celestia paced around the castle floors nervously, mumbling to herself to make some decisions. It was now time for the Pony Olympics, everypony had been practicing for it and it happens once in every thousand moons. Princess Celestia was struggling to host it because she feared that FireShine would intrude and cause more mischief around. The princess banged her head against the colorful windows of the throne room.     "Luna!" Princess Celestia called. She needed some help on her decision making. Suddenly the smaller alicorn walked in. Princess Luna truly was a gorgeous pony. Her coat was a stunning dark blue as well as her flowing sparkling mane. She flapped her dark feathery wings to sit next to her sister.     "What is it, sister?"     "I'm trying to make a decision," Celestia said.     "What kind of decision," Luna questioned.     "Well, I'm wondering if I should host the Pony Olympics this year. I know everypony worked hard and busy but with FireShine on the loose, I'm not sure if I should. No traces of her have been found yet."     Princess Luna rolled her teal eyes. "Celestia, everypony had been waiting for this. There dreams are finally coming true to actually be in a Pony Olympics. Some ponies haven't even lived long enough to experience or see one. Imagine how upset they'd all be. Celestia, I know how caring you are but this is more important. You know how much the Pony Olympics mean to some ponies."     The Princess knew her sister was right. "Well, alright. You're right, Luna. We can't be crushing anypony's dreams like this." Princess Celestia nodded feeling confident to herself. Luna wasn't exactly still sane considering she had been locked on the moon for 1000 years but she had to be right on this one.     Princess Luna nodded at her sister and trotted out the throne room doors. * * *     Princess Celestia stood on the large wooden stage with the blue-violet curtain behind her. On the curtain was the official Pony Olympic banner. The Princess stood behind a microphone getting ready to speak at the millions of ponies ahead of her. Camera ponies were filming in every direction.     "Attention everypony!" The Princess had called out. FireShine was strolling along the Canterlot roads when she heard this. Startled, she flapped her wings over to the cluster of ponies.     As she approached the area, she hid behind a yellow-green pony with a funky hat so Celestia wouldn't notice her.     "Despite some unfortunate events in Ponyville recently, I am proud to present you the official Pony Olympics! You all have been waiting for it and it takes place tonight! All the training will finally pay off for you trainers, so be prepared!"     Everypony had cheered when Celestia finished her statement. The 5 ponies were in the front of the area, also cheering.     "Oh yeah! I can't wait! I've been practicing sooo hard and now I can finally be in a Pony Olympics!" Rainbowdash cheered as she floated above her friends' heads.     "Yeah, I am going to be so excited to watch you zoom across the sky while I'm sitting in the crowd, Rainbow," said Fluttershy.     "It's just a shame that Applejack isn't going to be here, I think she was really looking forward to the running section of the Pony Olympics," Pinkie Pie said with a sad tone to her voice. "I hope she's doing alright."     Rarity fixed her mane and sighed. "Now, lets just all pray that she'll be recovered by tonight." Pinkie, Dash, and Fluttershy cheered in agreement as Rarity finished. Twilight on the other hand was facing away from them and toward the stage. Her mind was racing, she was extremely worried at the fact that something may go wrong. Twilight clamped her hooves and bang her head on the rim of the stage. Princess Celestia saw the frustrated pony and walked over to her. Since Celestia was on the stage and Twilight was in fornt of it but on the ground, the Princess knelt over so she could face the purple alicorn.     "What is wrong, Twilight Sparkle?"     Twilight glanced up at the powerful princess. "I-I don't know. I'm just worried that-that with FireShine escaped....the Olympics...in flames..."     Princess Celestia raised a hoof to silence Twilight. "Now I know it is nerve racking to have her escaped like this but think of the ponies. They have been training their whole lives for a moment like this, some ponies don't even get to live to experience an Olympic event like this. Why don't we just all put this behind us and look up to the bright side."     "Bu-but what if I'm next? What if my family or friends is next? What if I turn my back and the whole  Equestria is in flames? The whole world is seeing this event, and if the Olympics is in flames, what will they think? They could be next! I could be next! Don't you see? We could all die," Twilight said as a tear streamed down her furry cheek.     Celestia thought about worrying but she knew she couldn't. "Twilight," she said calmly as she raised Twilight's head with her hoof so she could look her in the eyes. "There is always a bright side. You just have to stay positive and forget about this. All we can do is pray nothing bad will happen, I will send guards to protect the arena just do not worry."     Twilight sniffled and cracked a slight smile. "Please, do all the protecting that you can, because, um," Twilight was about to burst. "This was all my fault!" She screamed and began crying.     Celestia looked at her sadly but then boldly. "What do you mean?"     Twilight looked up to the Princess and narrowed her purple eyes. "I....set...FireShine....free." She said that s if Celestia was some mentally challenged idiot. Princess Celestia's eyes narrowed tight.     "You..." Princess Celestia's tone turned evil. Twilight gasped as Princess Celestia's body grew larger with magic. The white pony with multi colored hair was hovering over the small purple alicorn. The Princess's eyes turned pure red and then turned back to normal in an instant as well as her body. She got up and turned around depressingly and started to walk away.     "Princess Celestia...I-"     "Get out."     Twilight opened her small mouth about to explain but then turned around. What have I done? She thought. I should've just kept my mouth shut. Twilight jumped and flapped her wings, hovering over the ponies around her.     "Hey, Twilight. What just happened?-" Ranbowdash said but Twilight just flew slowly away from her as if the blue pony wasn't even there. Twilight flew over the ponies of all kinds and colors around her. She finally reached the end of rhe crowd and flew over them. Tears fell off of the purple pony's face again.     "I have failed her," Twilight said as she flew away in the sunset to her home, away form Canterlot. At the hospital...     ShimmeryBloom sat in her white bed. She stared at the static filled TV, but was able to make out the events. She saw Princess Celestia's announcement and was ecstatic to watch the Pony Olympics. She sighed and was getting ready to leave the hospital. All she needed was rest.     "Hopefully I am able to experience the Pony Olympics, watching it on TV is boring. I want to see live action," Shimmery Bloom thought excitedly to herself. She tried her best to wipe FireShine away from her mind. Suddenly a pony nurse entered the room.     "Here are your test results, Miss Bloom."     Shimmery Bloom sat up immediately.      "Your lungs were just a little clogged from the smoke and the heat can make you light headed and dizzy. No other serious harm was done to your body. Good thing, isn't it? We never meant to keep so here so long we've just been really busy lately. No worries though, we took care of your lungs when you were asleep."     Shimmery Bloom sighed in great relief. "Thank you, now I have to get going, back to my job."     The nurse giggled and rolled her green eyes. "What job? The plaza you were working at is destroyed. You're going to be out of business for the next couple months. You won't be working until that plaza is repaired."     "What? How will I buy food and pay the bills to my home? That job is all I have!" Shimmery Bloom began breathing heavily. All the nurse did was chuckle once more.     "Silly. The government will take care of that. Of course that would be unfair to everybody who is currently unemployed," The nurse calmly replied as if this whole thing wasn't a big deal.     "I-I have to go." The dark blue pony was miserably sweating but had no idea why. She just felt the urge to get out of the hospital immediately.     "Haha, alright sweety. You're free to leave whenever you like." With that said, the nurse walked out the door. Shimmery Bloom trotted out behind her. She went down a flight of stairs to go back into the waiting room, or lobby. She checked out of the hospital and ran out the door. //-------------------------------------------------------// Applejack is Back //-------------------------------------------------------// Applejack is Back     At about a couple hours before the official Pony Olympics were going to begin, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbowdash, and Pinkie Pie all gathered at Twilight's house and discussed their plans.     "Alright guys, we will first walk into the arena minus Rainbow or Applejack, if she can come. It is important that we stick together, I don't want any of us getting lost incase something bad may happen."    The ponies nodded their big heads.    Rarity glanced up at Twilight and said confusedly, "Now hold up, dear. What do you mean as in something bad may happen? Princess Celestia did indeed state that the security will be perfect, so I don't see how any robbery or-"     "She means FireShine, Rarity. That stupid pegasus that ruined Applejack's home," Rainbowdash snapped.     "Oh," Rarity replied.     "Look, we're not certain that a moment like that would happen, we just want to be prepared in case it does," Twilight said.     "Yeah? Now how're we gonna prepare for something like that? I mean I have wings and all so I can just fly away but what about Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity? They can't just wear fire fighter suits, y'know." Rainbowdash sighed and scooted back on Twilight's peach colored couch.     "Well Rainbow, I can cast a spell on you guys and make you all fire-proof. It's just really high level, can be very difficult to perform. Let me try on you first." Twilight stated as if she was some scientist.     Rainbowdash sighed and walked in front of Twilight. "Fine. Try it out."     Twilight's horn started to shimmer, and then her recognizable sparkling pink aura appeared around it. The aura was first wobbly and then turned into a larger sphere. The sphere lifted off of Twilight's purple horn and landed on Dash. Well, to be clear and went around Dash, putting her into the pink sphere. Twilight was sweating uncontrollably as the pink sphere exploded around the blue pegasus.     "All.....d..d..done," Twilight Sparkle heaved. She was panting very hardly.     "I don't feel much differenet," Rainbowdash spoke to Twilight.     "You....You're-You're not supposed to. You're j...just fire proof now. Whoo. I need a glass of water." The small purple alicrn headed toward her kitchen to get a glass of water, leaving the others.    Fluttershy turned to Rainbowdash suddenly.  "I can't wait to see you perform your stunts, Rainbowdash. Will you try to do a sonic rainboom while you're racing?"     Rainbowdash, stunned at the fact someone asked her about her performances spoke back to the concerned yellow pegasus. "Why, yes I will of course try to! I want to show off...erm, I mean, stun people. I just love people cheering me on and being amazed by me. I mean, who wouldn't?"     "Nobody of course," Fluttershy kindly replied.     "I just can't wait to see all the yummy deserts they'll be selling!" Pinkie Pie said, jumping up and down.     Rarity flipped her curled purple mane. "Oh, Pinkie. Try to dial down on the deserts, they'll make you-" DING DONG!     "I'LL GET IT!" Pinkie Pie screamed. The pink pony hopped over to Twilight's door and opened it with her teethy smile. When she saw who was at the door her ears came down and her smile turned to a gasp.     "APPLEJACK! YOU'RE BACK!" Pinkie Pie hugged her tightly and pulled her into the house.     "Applejack! What a pleasant surprise! How are you feeling," Rarity said as the crazy Pinkie Pie shoved her inside.     Applejack fixed her foreleg cast and swirled her big green eyes to the unicorn who just questioned her. "Oh, I'm feelin' alright. Doc said my injuries weren't quite as bad as they thought they were. I am free to do whatever I like now, just this cast and-"     "Hold up! A cast? I'm pretty sure they don't allow ponies with broken legs to compete in the Pony Olympics," Rainbowdash interrupted Applejack.     Applejack' neutral expression exchanged into a worried one. "The Pony Olympics?! That's tonight? I haven't even trained! And-and I must've fallen asleep when they announced it on TV!"     Fluttershy asked, "Didn't you know it was coming up soon? They announced it online and on Television quite often."     "Granny Smith accidently ruined our wires, so we were stripped of our TV and internet." Applejack stared own at her white cast on her foreleg. She felt really disappointed that she couldn't compete. suddenly Twilight entered the room.     "Applejack! You're back! How are you feeling?!" Twilight nearly tackled Applejack as she said this.     "I'm good, just got a broken leg from the pressure back at the barn. I can't compete in the Olympics now though 'cause of this dang cast and I had no idea the Olympics were comin'."     "Oh, Applejack, I'm sorry. We have some news to catch you up on though." Twilight guided the freckled orange horse to her peach soft couch.      After the 5 other ponies discussed all the events that had just happened, AJ was stunned. "So y'all are tellin' me that my barn got caught on fire 'cause of that fire pegasus we met at Princess Celestia's castle?"      The other ponies nodded. Applejack would normally believe that this is silly, but she knew she couldn't. Her friends would never lie about something like this. Applejack simply nodded back to her friends and began a new convo.      "So...um..'bout that fire proof spell of yours." //-------------------------------------------------------// A Seventh Pony //-------------------------------------------------------// A Seventh Pony     Shimmery Bloom is a lucky unicorn. Since she is unemployed, she managed to get a quick job for selling products at the Pony Olympics to earn some extra cash and lucky for her, she didn't need to buy a ticket. Shimmery Bloom was preparing for the Olympics, gathering her beverages and snacks she'd be selling when Rose suddenly flew down from the sun setting sky.     "Hey, sport. Ya selling some food and drinks at the Olympics? Awesome. How much are they?"     Shimmery Bloom felt like Rose was secretly on a phone conversation with someone else. "2 dollars for a snack or beverage."     "Alright." Rose held out a hoof full of coins to Shimmery Bloom.     "Uhm, I'm not selling yet. If you want to get a snack you'll have to buy them there. It's only fair to everyone else."     Rose groaned. "Shimmer Bloom..-"     "Shimmery Bloom."     "Yeah, whatever. Shimmery Bloom, I saved your life and you're really refusing to let me buy one drink and beverage before the show starts? Hay, I should be given that whole cart!"     Shimmery Bloom pursed her lips and thought it over a second. I mean, Rose did save her life so she does deserve something in return. "Alright," Shimmery Bloom said. "You can go buy some before the event begins."     "Sweet." Rose pulled out her coins again and handed them to the dark blue unicorn that appeared to be glistening in the setting sun. Shimmery Bloom handed the food and drink to Rose. Rose chugged down the whole apple cider can and shoved the popcorn ball in her mouth. "Tasty," she said. Shimmery Bloom nodded.     "So," Shimmery Boom began. "Any luck with that fire Pegasus lately?"     "Nah, we've been searchin' for the little brat but no progress has been made. Wherever she is, she's a pretty good hider." Shimmery Bloom's eyes widened a bit in worry. She can't risk any moment like this anymore.     "Well, I, erm, hope you find her eventually," Shimmery Bloom tried rubbing the anxiety off her right away, "what's a litte Pegasus to do any harm, right? It isn't like she's an immortal alicorn."     Rose snickered. "Yeah, what's the harm she can do anyway?"     Shimmery Bloom appreciated Rose's honesty and confidence, but it's beginning to rub off a little bit as obnoxious in Shimmery Bloom's point of view.     "Now, uh, listen. I gotta go fly and get ready for the Olympics. I ain't competing, due to all the risks of getting injured since I'm a rescue pony but yeah. Don't want to be late."     Shimmery Bloom nodded as if she was saying, You can leave now. Rose was suddenly zooming away. Shimmery Bloom stared at the sunset, watching the setting sun carefully. The clouds surrounding the big ball of fire were pink, purple, orange, and blue all mixed together. Shimmery Bloom is definitely no psychic, but she just had a feeling, a feeling deep down inside of the pit of her stomach that something bad would happen. Shimmery Bloom wanted to shake her head and think that it's probably nothing but something was keeping her. She quickly turned her eyes away from the blazing view and pushed her cart of snacks toward the arena.     Rose was now in the sky, high and soaring through the air. She was flying right above the path to the arena where the Pony Olympics would take place. She was right above a group of 6 ponies who were taking the walk by foot. She couldn't exactly make out what they were saying, but she heard quite enough.     "Guys, I'm really not sure about this. That fire pegasus can attack any second! Princess Celestia probably already hates my guts for letting FireShine out of the castle, and now what if she terrorizes the whole Equestria?"     "Ehh, lighten up, Twilight. Sure the Princess is mad cause, heh, I would be too but she can't be that mad right?"     "You're not making anything better, Rainbo...."     The speech suddenly got cut off due to Rose realizing she wasn't following the path. She slammed right into a tree. When she slid down to the bottom and regained her consciousness (which was only lost for a few seconds) she spotted the 6 ponies staring at her.     "Are you alright, missy?" Applejack said to Rose. Rose rubbed her head and ran a hoof across her velvety mane. She churned her purple eyes to the ponies that were staring straight at her.     "Uhm, I'm fine. Thanks for asking. So I uhm heard you guys were talkin' to eachother when you were walking to the arena about some....FireShine you speak of?"     Twilight's face crinkled. "Who are you and what business do you have with it?"     Rose regained her balance and stood up confidentially. "I am Rose, a local rescue Pegasus. It is totally by business because my group is searching for this "FireShine" you're speaking of so please tell me what you mean by that!" Rose stamped her hooves on the ground angrily.     "Woah, calm down. It was only a question," Rainbowdash said.     "Sorry, I have a temper."     "Oh, that's alright silly goose. I'm Pinkie Pie, that's Rainbowdash, that's Twilight, that's Fluttershy, and that's Applejack!"     Rose smiled nervously. "You're pretty energetic, aren't ya."     Pinkie Pie smiled innocently. "Yup!"     "Oh, well in that case, um. Princess Celestia secretly had an adopted daughter all these years named FireShine. Princess Celestia was unsure of her power but she knew she could be a threat to others so she kept FireShine locked away in the castle her whole life. I, uhm, may have, accidentally let her out cause I felt bad her. I didn't mean to, but it's just she seemed so innocent and that she didn't deserve what had happened to her," Twilight said.     Rose scratched her chin in interest. "Have you seen her since then?"     Twilight shook her head. "That was the last I saw her, but I can guarantee you that was FireShine who set the barn on fire and the plaza on fire."     "But we've been searching for her as well," Fluttershy added quietly.     "Oh, yes, that is true, we have", Rarity also added.     Rose sighed. "Well I guess if any of us had any signs we should all report to each other?"     "Yeah," Applejack said. "That'd be great."     The 7 ponies chatted and headed toward the arena all together in a group. If only they knew they were being followed... //-------------------------------------------------------// Who Are You? //-------------------------------------------------------// Who Are You?      The sky was now deep, dark, and blue. The arena was filled with chattering ponies, screaming ponies, and cheering ponies. The Olympics would start any second now. Rose and the mane 6 were all sitting in a row together, chattering nonstop about nonsense. Millions of ponies were there, and if one pony wasn't there they'd be watching it on television.     "Alright everypony! The official Pony Olympics are starting!" The crowd roared and screamed when the host spoke. "We will begin our games after a few performances will be made! Give it up for Jewelerina for starting our show off with a few songs!" The crowed clapped violently as the pony pop-star Jewelerina entered the arena and began performing her music.     Shimmery Bloom was in the back, about to push her cart down the stairs when something caught her eye. About ten feet away, a pony was propped up against the wall wearing a sombrero that covered her face. Shimmery Bloom let go of her cart and nervously headed toward the pony. As she got closer and closer....she yanked off the pony's hat. What was under the hat was a yellow Pegasus with straight orange hair and ruby red eyes. FireShine.     "It's you!" Shimmery Bloom hissed.     "Yeah, and?"     "You set my haystack on fire!"     Suddenly FireShine smirked mischievously. "Oh, it's you. Hah, that was pretty funny, wasn't it?"     Shimmery Bloom narrowed kind blue eyes into something angry. "No! You could've killed someone!"     "That's kind of what I was hoping for," FireShine responded.     "Well that's evil. That's cruel. I will go right over to Rose and report you and get you killed for all the danger you've caused!" Shimmery Bloom's hoof was across FireShine's chest dramatically as if she was threatening her. Shimmery Bloom was a good, kind pony but when it came to this kind of stuff she wasn't one to mess with.     FireShine rolled her eyes. "Ha, you're cute. If you even choke a word out to anyone about me, I'll kill you first."     Shimmery Bloom took a step back. "You can't kill me..."     "Pffft, watch me. The barn and that plaza wasn't even me trying," FireShine snickered and gave that "your move" expression.     On the other hand, Shimmery Bloom gasped. "So it was you who set the apple family barn and the plaza on fire!"     "Good job on putting the puzzle pieces together. You got a name?"     Shimmery Bloom nervously said, "Shimmery Bloom."     "The names FireShine. I don't go by Fire or Shine just FireShine. But you hear me clear cause I'm only going to  say it once, you can try your absolute best to hurt me or get me caught but it will never happen. You hear me?"     Shimmery Bloom nodded anxiously. FireShine was clearly the boss in this situation, and Shimmery Bloom didn't want anything of hers to catch on fire. "A-Alright well FireShine, why do you do it?"     FireShine turned her head to the questioning pony. "Do what?"     "You know...set things on fire. Hurt ponies."     FireShine's mischievous sly attitude turned into a fierce and horrifying one. "That is none of your business!" Her hair flamed up once more. Shimmery Bloom backed away, knowing that she probably shouldn't have asked that.     "You're right, I'm sorry..."     "You should be. Now it looks like ponies are stealing from your cart. I'd get my butt over there if I were you," FireShine snickered delightfully. Shimmery Bloom gasped and ran to her cart.     "What are you doing?!" Shimmery Bloom said as she witnessed two teenage ponies chewing on almost all the popcorn balls from her cart.     "Uhm....taste testing?" One of the boys said. Shimmery Bloom growled.     "Hmph", she said as she pushed her cart down the steps.     "Alright everpony give it up for Jewelerina one last time!" The host started speaking again. everypony clapped for the performer. "We will now be starting the games. The first competition we have is the running competition! Where local ponies have trained and entered the contest." A group of a ton of ponies of all kinds, unicorns, pegasai, and earth ponies lined up in a line to start their first lap out of 50 they must complete.     "Ugh, I wish I could be there," Applejack moaned as she stared down at the white cast hugged around her left foreleg. Twilight put a hand on AJ's shoulder.     "It's alright, Applejack. Accomplishing this won't really do anything to your life. Just a stupid medal." Applejack knew this didn't really help put she just turned her head away.     "Ready....set......GO!" With that said by the host, the ponies all galloped to begin their laps. They were all fierce runners, very fast and hardcore. Shimmery Bloom was earning some cash by selling food and drinks and the mane 6 plus Rose were all having a good time. But out of that entire arena someone wasn't having a good time. Someone hated that event more than anypony ever. Soon those camera ponies would regret filming this event. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Escape of FireShine //-------------------------------------------------------// The Escape of FireShine     Twilight Sparkle was jittery, wondering if she was doing the right thing. Her horn started to shimmer, and POP! She teleported straight into Princess Celestia's castle, right behind the guards. She began panting and worrying that is the princess finds out what she's doing, she'll be dead meat. She began galloping quietly away from the guards and turned a few corners until she came to a dungeon area of the castle that Twilight had never seen before. There were many doors, but one of them was large. It was made of stone, so Twilight used her X-Ray vision spell to take a peek through the stone. The room had no furniture, it was very cramped up and was dull and dark. Twiight saw Fireshine sleeping on this small rock bed that appeared quite uncomfortable. Twilight was extremely surprised. Why would Princess Celestia do this? Twilight knew what she had to do.  While sweating miserably, Twilight's horn glowed a bit. Then more. Then more. Then more. Until it was a giant purple ball, it exploded, breaking the stone walls and leaving a huge hole into the outside world. FireShine woke up instantly. At first she looked innocently surprised, but then her eyes narrowed and her frown turned into a smirk.     "Well, well, well. Isn't it Twilight Sparkle. What in the world are you doing?" FireShine knew she was being set free, but wanted a clarification. Her voice was surprisingly normal. Not at all demonic like Twilight expected.     "I'm-I'm setting you free," Twilight said. "I don't know what horrible things you did, but nopony deserves to be locked up in here their whole life."     FireShine smirked and chuckled, "Twilight Sparkle, you're making a big mistake!" And with that said, FireShine soared away into the night sky. Twilight gulped. Hopefully she was doing the right thing. //-------------------------------------------------------// Who Did It? //-------------------------------------------------------// Who Did It?     Nopony found FireShine. The 5 ponies have been searching forever but no traces. They all met up at Twilight's house at midnight.     "Did you find her?" Twilight questioned. All had shooken their heads.     "I searched all the clouds and I didn't find anything."     "I searched all the houses and plazas but the only out of the ordinary thing was a plaza set on fire," Pinkie said.     "WHAT?!" Twilight screamed. She tackled Pinkie immediately. "Tell me all about it!" Twilight said.     "Sheesh you must me into some twisted stuff," Pinkie said before beginning. "I was searching for that FireShine pony and I came by a few plazas but one was covered in flames. A bunch of rescue ponies were there and it seemed as if everypony was saved. Maybe that pegasus had something to do with it?"     "Well duh she did!" Twilight snapped. "It's just a good thing nopony died.," Twilight said relieved. But first the apple farm, then a plaza? What would that mischief causer do next? Twilight yawned and nearly fell asleep on the spot. She headed to bed and the ponies went home.     The next day, Shimmery bloom awoke in a hospital. Beside her was a red pegasus with a short messy mane that was red-violet. Her eyes were purple like Shimmery Bloom's.     "Wake up, sleepy head," said the pegasus in a recognizable voice.     "Wh-who are you?" Shimmery Bloom asked as she sat up. The pegasus laughed.     "I'm the pony that rescued you, you probably can't recognize me because I'm not in my uniform, but that sucks how you don't remember me," The rescue pony joked. "The names' Rose. And you are?" Before Shimmery Bloom could speak, Rose just chuckled. "Just kidding, I know exactly who you are. The reason I'm here is to ask, do ya know or have an idea who caused this mess? We are trying to track down who did it." Shimmery Bloom couldn't remember much, but she suddenly had a flash back.    "Th-the fire pegasus," Shimmery Bloom said. "Sh-she was at my stand, my hay stand. She asked to purchase a stack of hay and then her mane! It turned into fire! She walked over to one hay stack and set it on fire with her hair! she then walked to another one and set it on fire with her hair again! The fire somehow spread to the whole plaza and I-I warned everyone to run." Shimmery Bloom waving her arms like a maniac as she said this. Rose was giving her a doubtful look.     "Uh-uh. Maybe ya need a little more rest, um. I'm not sure if the ol' noggin is working correctly up there," she chuckled and exited the room.     "She thinks I'm crazy," Shimmery Bloom said, talking to herself. "Maybe I am crazy, I don't even know if I'm going crazy!" She slapped herself with her hooves. "I have to find that fire pegasus and find out what the heck she did and why she would do it!" Shimmery Bloom rose up out of the hospital bed but collapsed back in and coughed.     "A-after the nurse comes in and gives me some medicine," Shimmery Bloom concluded.
