Chapters After he arrived at Sweet Apple Acres, he knocks on the barn door. Applejack opens it, but seeing Darkened Hallow, she is quick to attempt to close the door.
But Darkened Hallow is quick enough to grab the door.
"Not so fast, lovely Applejack. I need to have a word with you." Said Darkened Hallow with a slick grin.
"Uh, sure, what do you need?" Said Applejack in a nervous manner.
"All I wanted to say… was…"
Darkened Hallow then grabbed Applejack in a harsh manner and threw her to the wall.
"You don't play with me. Unless you want me to personally burn down your precious family farm. I don't care who you are, I don't care if you think you're strong, because you know what? I'm better than you. Hell, my hoof could pierce through you faster than you can say splat. So don't play with me, Applejack. Same goes for Pinkie Pie, Rarity, everyone. I can be nicer than Celestia herself, but get on my bad side, and I'll be your worst nightmare. Keep that in mind."
As Darkened Hallow leaves the barn, he hears Applejack mumble to herself, "Just you wait till Rainbow Dash and the others hear about this."
Hearing Rainbow Dash's name, Darkened Hallow turns back around;
"She won't believe you. I'm a nice 'lil pegasus in her eyes. As for you five, we'll just have to wait and see."
He then spits on the ground and leaves the barn.
As he leaves to find Rainbow Dash, Darkened Hallow has a distant memory of the past. Remembering his little girl; remembering how she was led astray.
Darkened Hallow cringes, and moves along.
"I'll find the ones who hurt you, I swear."
He then hears Rainbow Dash's voice; "Who are you talking to?"
Darkened Hallow quickly turns around and faces her. "Um, nobody."
"Then why are y-"
"Look, I had a troubled past, alright? I had a daughter and things happened. I don't want to talk about it."
"Can you at least tell me her name?" Asked Rainbow Dash
"Her name was Night Rose." Answered Darkened Hallow
"She was pure white. She had a long, gracious blue mane and tail. Her eyes were a darkish orange. She was beautiful. But god knows where she is now," said Darkened Hallow in a depressed manner.
"How come?" Asked the very curious Rainbow Dash.
"There were two others involved in this. White Flame and Shadow Fang. White Flame was a unicorn like Night Rose, and Shadow Fang was a pegasus like both of us. Night Rose really really liked White Flame. But White Flame and Shadow Fang already had a thing going on. Now if there's something you should know about Night Rose, she is very emotional. This caused her to go through a period of hysteria. You don't want to know what she did. Anyway, she escaped here and is in hiding. My beloved wife, before she died, told me that White Flame followed her. And I want to find him and make him pay."
"How did your wife d-" began Rainbow Dash. "Night Rose?"
Darkened Hallow nodded, but not without shedding a tear.
Rainbow Dash noticed his sadness, and sighed. She then unexpectedly rubbed her nose gently against his, and smiles.
Darkened Hallow blushes, and smiles.
"Thanks for that. It really made me feel better."
He then moves closer and closer to Rainbow Dash, just a few inches away from kissing eachother, when he suddenly remembers a similar memory with his wife.
He pulls back, and frowns.
"I uh… I'm sorry… I'm not exactly ready for one of these things again, you know?"
Rainbow Dash blushes deeply and says, "I um.. yeah that's okay. I understand."
They walk the rest of their little trip in awkward silence, when they suddenly bump into the rest of the Mane Six.
"Look, sugarcubes! It's him!" Applejack exclaimed.
"Hey! I don't know what you think you're doing threatening my friend like that, but you better stop!" yelled Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash quickly intervened; "I don't know what's going on, but don't ever talk to him like that! He's an amazing friend, so if you don't like him then go screw around somewhere else!"
The group just stared at Rainbow Dash in silence.
"Alright girls, you heard her. Let's go somewhere else," Twilight Sparkle said.
As they all left, Darkened Hallow just stood there. "Rainbow Dash..."
"No it's okay. They aren't real friends if they treat some pony like that. Especially a sweet one like you," Rainbow Dash interjected.
"Well, I'm not exactly as sweet as you say I am…" Darkened Hallow trailed off.
"Don't be stupid. You're one of the sweetest ponies I know." Rainbow Dash said, smiling.
Then she leaned over, kissed Darkened Hallow on the cheek, and then walked away, saying; "We should hang out together more, I'd really enjoy your company."
Darkened Hallow slightly grinned and whispered to himself;
"I think White Flame and Night Rose can wait."

Finally the hiatus is over. Thanks for being patient.
Daddy's Girl
It was a rather dark day and a thick blanket of clouds were in the sky as Darkened Hallow was walking through the forest, to once again, spend some time with Rainbow Dash. On this day they were planning to have a picnic together in the Everfree Forest, to escape being made fun of by Applejack. But as he walked through the shady forest, he heard an extremely faint voice. It was barely audible, but it was still there. If Darkened Hallow was correct, this voice could belong to no other than "Rosey", the name by which he used to call his daughter before they were separated. There was only one way to find out if it was in fact her, so he began walking toward the voice, and he eventually saw her, lying in the shade of a tall tree, looking an awful lot less twisted than she did when she left him and his wife all that time ago. Had she finally gotten over White Flame? It didn't matter to him anyway, all that truly mattered to him was that his little girl was okay. As gradually crept towards her, her ear suddenly twitched and she turned around and instantly trotted as fast as she could towards her daddy, and hugged him as tightly as possible.
Now, Darkened Hallow wasn't a stallion who cried very often, he usually held in his tears no matter how cheerful or depressed he was. But for this special reunion with Night Rose, he burst into a downpour of tears. "Night Rose, you're alright!" he exclaimed as he sobbed, still trying to contain his tears.
Night Rose continued to hug her father, and eventually let go. "Yes daddy, I'm alright! It's been so long!" She began, "But... I'm really sorry for what I did to mom..." and with that, the mood quickly shifted from happy to mournful.
Darkened Hallow let out a long sigh, but he brushed his daughter's mane with his hoof. "I forgive you, Rosey. Don't feel bad, your mother is in a better place now." As he said this, a tear went down Night Rose's cheek.
"It's all my fault..." she said softly in a shaky voice.
"No, it isn't, it was White Flame and Shadow Fang that caused this," stated Darkened Hallow.
Hearing the name "White Flame", Rosey blushed. Seeing her do so, Darkened Hallow squinted his eyes. "Oh for fuck's sake, don't tell me that you still have feelings for him. Even after all that he's put you through?" he groaned.
"I do... but it's okay, he's changed!" admitted Night Rose.
"I doubt it," Darkened Hallow said with a scowl.
But before they could start arguing, Rainbow Dash came trotting through the leaves. "Oh, hey Hallow! I was looking for you- wait, is that Night Rose?" asked Rainbow Dash.
Darkened Hallow grinned happily and walked over to his friend and gave her a hug, but just as he was about to answer her question, Darkened Hallow's ear began twitching furiously. Not far off from where they were he could hear a voice that sounded like White Flame’s, calling out for Night Rose. "Dashie, go hide over there," he ordered, pointed his hoof over to a group of bushes. "I have some business I want to settle." Dash nodded her head and quickly leapt into a nearby bush.
"Dad, please don't hurt him..." begged Night Rose.
"Quiet. I'll do exactly what he deserves," he answered, and then suddenly shot up above the tops of the trees.
"Rosey! I was looking for you!" White Flame said cheerfully as he came out of a patch of bushes and saw Night Rose, and he then proceeded to kiss her on the cheek. But as he did so, Darkened Hallow dove from the sky directly towards White Flame as quickly as he could possibly go, crashing into him and knocking him to the ground, he then began to punch White Flame’s face furiously with both hooves.
Night Rose quickly ran up and struggled to pull her father away from her lover. "Dad, stop!" she yelled. Since he didn't listen the first time, she screamed the next, "I said STOP!"
Darkened Hallow slowed his assault until he halted completely, and then glared at White Flame and spat in his eye. Pulling himself closer, he warned White Flame, "If you ever dare to hurt my little girl again, I swear to god, I'll rip off your cock and shove it right up your ass, alright?"
Frightened enough, White Flame stuttered, "Y-yeah, o-okay. I won't do anything to her. I promise," he then quickly squirmed over to Night Rose and whimpered.
"You always were a pussy, mate," teased Darkened Hallow. "You can come out now, Dashie!" he yelled.
A blue ear poked out of the bush, and Rainbow Dash asked, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure," he responded.
"You sure you're sure?" said Rainbow Dash playfully.
"Yes, yes, I'm sure, you can come out now."
Little by little, Rainbow Dash came out of the bush. Then, she pounced over next to Darkened Hallow.
"So who’s this?" asked White Flame.
"I'm Rainbow Dash, I'm Hallow's pal! And you're White Flame, right? Well, it's nice to meet you." she responded, introducing herself. She then grabbed her basket full of food and goodies, poked Darkened Hallow, and gestured to a nearby tree. The two walked over to the shady part of the tree and settled down.
"Um, Dad? Would you mind if White Flame and I joined the picnic?" asked Night Rose.
Darkened Hallow smiled. "Yeah, sure."
White Flame and Night Rose lay down beside each other, much to Darkened Hallow's repulsion. The two ate their food elegantly, while in contrast, Darkened Hallow and Rainbow Dash pigged out in a food eating contest, laughing and throwing left-over food, genuinely having a good time.
Later, while Darkened Hallow was taking a nap in the shade of a tree, out of nowhere Night Rose came up to Rainbow Dash and asked an awkward question. "Hey Dash, are you and my dad, you know, dating or something? You guys seem really into each other."
Rainbow Dash laughed a little bit, and then replied gleefully, "No, we actually aren’t. I'm not exactly into him that much to be honest. Maybe a teeny tiny crush, cuz he is kinda cute, but really we're just friends."
Night Rose looked at Rainbow Dash, then over to her father. "Are you sure you don't have a big crush on him?" she teased.
"Look, if I did, I would've told him by now."
Night Rose sighed, "Okay... but I was just hoping that maybe you could be his special somepony, especially since he's been so lonely ever since I killed mom..."
Rainbow Dash looked at Darkened Hallow, and then lifted Night Rose's spirits with a little jab with her hoof. "Don't worry, I'll find someone for him, I promise. Just give me some time."
A few hours later, Darkened Hallow woke up from his nap, he nudged Rainbow Dash, and she looked at him and grinned. "I think we should call it a day, come on, I'll take you home," he said.
"Alright, let's go!" she exclaimed.
Darkened Hallow looked over to Night Rose, "Bye, kid." He then of course looked over to White Flame and sneered, "Good riddance."
Rainbow Dash frowned when he said this, but she kept it to herself. She then pressed her flank against Darkened Hallow's and together they walked away from the two.
As Darkened Hallow and Rainbow Dash were leaving their recent picnic with Night Rose and White Flame, Dash had a very uncertain look on her face. “Why is he so judgmental towards White Flame?” she thought to herself. She had of course judged plenty of people before, but for some reason she felt as if this new pony hadn't actually done anything wrong, perhaps it was all just a big misunderstanding. But then again, she never really had any time to understand what happened, as Darkened Hallow hadn't given the best of explanations. So it was probably best to keep quiet, it wasn't any of her business anyway.
She couldn't resist though. To understand his hatred towards White Flame, she had to understand what had happened to him one hundred percent. So as they trotted along the winding dirt path that led back to Ponyville, she nudged Darkened Hallow. “Hey um, Hallow? You never really gave that good of an explanation of what happened with White Flame and all that, so could you maybe-“
“No,” interrupted Darkened Hallow before she could finish.
Normally Rainbow Dash would keep quiet by now, but she couldn't resist, the urge to understand her friend was too strong to just shut up like that. “But why not?” she asked.
“Because it’s none of your business,” he snapped.
Dash sighed, and gave up. There was no way he would tell her.
However, as they walked, Darkened Hallow came to halt. “You want to know what happened? Fine, I’ll tell you, and with a better explanation this time.”
It was a calm winter night as Darkened Hallow and his wife sat by a fire. Their daughter, Night Rose, was out with her lover. The two honestly didn't care about her love life, as they believed that she had the right to love anyone she wanted. They just wanted her to be happy, and happy she was, so they were fine with it. They sat together, cuddling in the warmth of the flames beside them, while Darkened Hallow listened to his wife talk about how excited she was for the day that she would have grandchildren. She herself was friends with White Flame, and she knew that he would make a good father. While on the other hand, Darkened Hallow saw him as a traitor and a dishonest savage. However, there was one thing Hallow and his wife could agree on: Shadow Fang, the old marefriend of White Flame, would certainly try to ruin their daughter’s life. And ruin it she did, because while none of them were aware, Shadow Fang and White Flame were having a secret relationship. Night Rose had no knowledge of this either. But one day, in an encounter with Shadow Fang, she found out. It was only that day that she encountered White Flame about it, that day in which peace was shattered. Darkened Hallow and his wife sat together, and after a while Night Rose came weeping to them. She told them what happened. Darkened Hallow was furious, but his wife was not. She thought that maybe he did it for a reason, but she made the mistake of telling that to her daughter. Night Rose, infuriated, ran straight into her mother head first, impaling her with her horn. She then used her magic to shoot through her heart. Realizing what she did, she ran off crying even more. Darkened Hallow tried to help his wife, but it was too late. She was dying. Her last words have stuck with Darkened Hallow to this day: “I love you, Darky. Don’t ever forget that.”
As he finished telling the story, Darkened Hallow couldn't help but to break down into tears. The loneliness he felt ever since his wife’s death was just too much to bear. He dug his head into Rainbow Dash’s fur and sobbed. Stroking his mane, she tried to soothe him. “Don’t cry, don’t cry. Everything will be okay. At least your wife is in a better place now,” Dash said, in an attempt to calm him down, but hearing that only made Darkened Hallow cry even more. Tears soaked Rainbow Dash’s coat. Then Rainbow realized what Night Rose had meant when she said that Darkened Hallow felt terrible after what happened. She saw the depression, the loneliness. He truly was lost, he needed someone who would always stay by his side and someone that would never ever leave. He needed someone who would be there to give him comfort whenever he needed it. He needed someone loyal. Rainbow Dash did love her friend, but not like she’d give her life for him. Only a little crush. But now that changed, she would do everything she could to make him feel whole again. She wanted him to be the best pony he could be. And even if that meant she had to risk everything she had, so be it. Rainbow Dash was ready. No more would his ghosts haunt him, no more would he be scarred by the memories of pain and sorrow. She loved him, and she was tired of hiding it. It was obvious that he needed someone, and Rainbow Dash wanted to be that special someone.
“Darkened Hallow, I don’t know if this will help any, but look at me,” she ordered. Darkened Hallow looked up, and with his tearful eyes he saw those beautiful magenta eyes staring into his. Rainbow Dash drew closer to him, and kissed him on his lips. Darkened Hallow was startled, but he went along with it anyway. They savored it, staying in that position for minutes. Afterward, Rainbow Dash moved her head back to where she could speak. They stared into each other’s eyes and stood there blankly. Finally, Dash smiled, rubbed her head against Darkened Hallow’s neck.
“Um... Rainbow Dash? What was all that?” Darkened Hallow asked as he brushed the dried tears off of his face. All Rainbow Dash did was smile and continue to brush her head on his neck. After a while, she looked back up to his clueless face, and made the statement that would make him love her as much as he did his wife.
“Darky, I love you. Don’t ever forget that.”
A week later, Rainbow Dash and Darkened Hallow were sitting together in Dash’s Cloudsdale home, snuggled up on a couch. They gazed into each other’s eyes for hours upon hours, unable to look away. Ever since she had confessed her love for him, they never left one another’s side. Although there was plenty to worry about, all that they cared about was staying close together. Love had truly changed Darkened Hallow. It showed him who he once was, and while this happened, Rainbow Dash was happy.
“Hey, Darky?” Dash asked in a soothing tone.
“Yeah?”
“It’s funny how everypony else seemed to judge you because you looked “evil” to them. Because I think if they saw you now, they would think you were the coolest and sweetest pony ever. Not as cool as me though.” She giggled.
Darkened Hallow smiled, and kissed Rainbow Dash on the cheek. They then dozed off to sleep in each other’s hooves.
After about an hour of sleeping, Darkened Hallow woke to a sudden warmth in his– area. He opened his eyes and saw his mare friend doing something extremely awkward: she was bouncing up and down on his member as she silently moaned.
He initially freaked out, but he relaxed and began to thrust due to the nice feeling it brought. Rainbow Dash turned around and laughed. “How dare you take advantage of me like that, you monster!” He laughed as well, and kept thrusting in motion, until he eventually moaned loudly and came.
“Darky, you bastard, you feel so amazing!” she cried out.
After they finished, they again snuggled up to sleep, their bodies glistening with sweat. Too exhausted to pay any attention to their surroundings, they failed to notice the hot air balloon that had risen to where it was clearly visible for all to see. But whom may you ask, was in the balloon? None other than Applejack. She picked up a rock that she had kept in the balloon, and hurled it towards the window, shattering it. “Hey Dash, I knew you liked the fella, but that doesn't mean you can start buckin’ him already!”
Hearing Applejack’s voice, and the shatter of the window, Rainbow Dash quickly woke up and saw her orange friend. “What the- AJ, have you been following us this whole time?” she spouted.
“Nah, I just decided to take a stroll ‘round here and I remembered hearin’ about a relationship with you two and I just had to see. You make a fine couple I suppose, but you guys were really quick to buck weren’t y’all?”
“Heh, yeah I guess,” said Dash while rubbing against Darkened Hallow’s fur.
“Well, why don’t you and your buddy come down and hang for a bit?” asked AJ. “But first I think you ought a clean up your mess...”
* * *
Soon, after reaching the ground, Darkened Hallow was surprised to see his daughter, but was annoyed when he noticed White Flame was there as well. He snorted, but then glanced at Rainbow Dash and went back to smiling. “Hello, Rosy. How have you been?” he asked after staring at his mare friend.
“I've been doing well, Dad. I-I have to tell you something though. Applejack didn't really get you two down here to hang out, but really because I had something to say. White Flame and I are getting married! Isn't that great?”
“Great?! No no no, that’s a load of-”
But before he could swear, Dash interrupted and quickly congratulated them. “That’s great! You guys really would make a great family!”
While she congratulated them, Darkened Hallow glared into White Flame’s eyes in a threatening manner. “I’ll let you marry her, but I swear to god if you end up doing what I’m sure you’re going to do, I’ll kill you. And should I ever see Shadow Fang, I’ll kill you. Or better yet, I’ll let Night Rose do it for me. Don’t you fucking dare hurt her, understood?”
This time however, White Flame decided to talk back, “Why do you always think I want to hurt her? Those mistakes were honest ones!”
“Those mistakes cost me my wife, you cunt!” Hallow yelled, silencing both Rainbow Dash and Night Rose. Darkened Hallow turned around, and stomped away from everyone. “Honest mistake my ass,” he muttered to himself.
“Sorry guys, excuse me for a minute…” said Dash.
She flew up to Darkened Hallow and berated him silently so no one else could hear. “What the hell were you thinking? I know you must be mad, but god damn, control your anger!”
“Dashie, I know I need to watch my tongue, but how would you feel if your daughter got engaged without your consent?”
“She probably did that because she knew you would refuse to let him marry her!” she continued.
Darkened Hallow sighed. “You’re right, I’m sorry. Come on, how about we go to Sugarcube Corner and eat some cupcakes or something, huh?”
Dash smiled at him for apologizing, and agreed to go. But as they walk, Darkened Hallow turned around for a brief moment and mouthed “Fuck you” to a staring White Flame.
Author's Note
I wasn't really feeling it for this chapter. That's why it sucks so much ass.
Night Rose and White Flame were sitting together at their home in the Everfree Forest, not very long after the recent confrontation with Darkened Hallow. Night Rose was in her usual cheerful mood, whilst White Flame seemed troubled.
“Is something bothering you, honey?” asked Night Rose, sounding slightly worried.
He glanced over to her for a brief moment and shook his head. “No, no. I’m fine. Thanks for noticing, though.”
But really, in his head, he was frightened. Frightened for himself and Night Rose and even Shadow Fang. It seemed as if everything Darkened Hallow had said weren’t just shallow and meaningless threats, and that it was actually going to happen, that he would actually kill them if Night Rose got hurt. It was a good thing he didn't know…
Night Rose interrupted his thoughts when she nudged him. “Listen, I’m gonna go out and buy some food. Want anything?”
He nodded his head. “Sure, I guess, some apples would be nice,” Night Rose grinned, kissed him on the cheek, and walked over to the door to leave.
But just as she was walking out the door, White Flame asked for her attention, “Rosy, wait a minute, I have a question.”
In the past, that usually meant that something bad was about to happen, so she cautiously turned her head around. “Yeah?”
“What would you do if you ever saw Shadow Fang again?” he asked.
She began to twitch just from hearing that name. “Baby, you know how much I don’t like being asked those kinds of questions… but I guess I would just try to be calm around her.” White Flame let out a sigh of relief. “But I swear to Celestia, if I found out she was with you again, I would rip off her head and- Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to say that… you know how nasty I can get when I start talking about her.”
“I’m just going to leave now, okay? Love you, baby,” she said.
“I love you too,” said a startled White Flame.
Night Rose walked out and closed the door behind her, and as she walked to the Farmer’s Market, she thought about what he had said and asked herself, “I wonder what he meant by that?”
Meanwhile, White Flame, lying on the couch, sighed. “I don’t want to lie to her, but I know how mad she would be if I ever told her…” he thought to himself. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the window.
“You can come in, Fang. She isn’t here.”
At the market, Night Rose already had a cart full of food and goodies to eat at home, but she was still looking for a cake, most of which had already been sold. She didn’t feel like waiting another week to get one, so she kept looking around. As she walked around the store, she stumbled into a white unicorn, like herself, that looked like she might work there. “Excuse me, ma’am, but do you work here?” Night Rose asked.
“Do I really look so out of fashion that I look like I work here? Oh dear, I need to find a changing room…”
Night Rose laughed, “No no, you look fine. I was just wondering if you could help me find any cake.”
“Oh! Well you’ll be happy to know I have two. I don’t need the second one as much, so you can have it.”
“Thanks,” said Night Rose. “What’s your name, anyway?”
“My name is Rarity, yours?”
"I’m Night Rose! Nice to meet you, Rarity, but I have to go. Maybe we’ll see each other again soon,” said Night Rose.
As she was leaving the market, she got a strange feeling. A feeling that White Flame was doing something...
“You should go now, Fang. Night Rose will probably be here soon,” says White Flame.
“Alright, but we need to spend some more time together. I’m getting lonely the more you stay away from me.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get out of here,” he said. But before she left, he gave her a kiss. “Love you.”
After Shadow Fang climbed out the window and flew off, White Flame sighed. “Looks like I did it again...” But as he was saying that, his head started painfully throbbing and he heard a voice. “Liar. I hope Night Rose rips off your dick.” It was Darkened Hallow. White Flame had forgotten that he could read minds. But maybe that’s what he deserved, he thought to himself. All the pain he could get. He was a liar. He knew it.
He just had trouble admitting it. He knew he would have to tell her soon, but he didn't want to. He had already caused her enough pain. But, lying hurt worse.
“Hey honey! How ya doing?” asked Night Rose as she opened the door, and ran over to hug him. “You’re okay, right?”
“Yeah, I’m okay,” he said.
“Good. So what were you up to while I was gone?” she asked.
“Uh… I was just here reading the newspaper, that’s all.”
Night Rose laughed, “You don’t even read the newspaper, silly!”
“I do now,” he responded.
Night Rose plopped down on the floor and started eating her cake with her bare hooves. “Want some?” she asked with her still mouth full.
White Flame smiled slightly, and sat down next to her. They spent about twenty minutes eating the cake, before they began to fall asleep. “Hey Rosy? I probably haven’t said this to you much, but I think you’re the sweetest mare that exists. Love you, Rosy,” he said before kissing her.
“Aww, I love you too,” said Night Rose.
Another sharp pain went through White Flame’s brain.
“You son of a bitch, I knew you were up to something. Mark my words, I’ll drive you insane. You've hurt my baby girl too much. When Night Rose kills Shadow Fang, don’t come to me begging for help.”
White Flame finally snapped. He got up in a sudden movement, accidentally piercing a part of Night Rose’s ear. “Ow!” she yelped.
“Night Rose, I’m sorry. But there's something I need to tell you,” he said.
One day, the sun was out, the birds were singing, and every pony was enjoying the calmness of the afternoon. Twilight Sparkle had decided to have picnic with her friends.
As they all sat and enjoyed the food, they were approached by a strange looking pony. His eyes were red - blood red. His mane was sharp, the colour of fresh winter snow. His body however, was pure black. With the exception of his hooves, which were a darker red. He looked scary to the group. In fact, Rarity was just about ready to run away, for she was completely frightened, but she decided to stay, shaking violently.
The strange pony began to speak. "Well. I see I won't be getting a warm welcome. Anyhow, could someone direct me to Sugarcube Corner? I had a long walk and, I'm simply dying of hunger."
There was just a long silence. Starting to get annoyed, the pony growled. "Are you going to tell me or not?!"
Finally, Pinkie Pie pointed her hoof in the direction of where Sugarcube Corner is, looking scared.
The pony slightly grinned, and with a ticked off voice, he said, "At least some pony has the decency to show me the way. Whatever. Nice to meet you all, I suppose."
As he left, the group finally got back to eating. "He certainly does not have manners if he growls like that!" Rarity said in an annoyed manner.
"You got that right, sugarcube, he has some nerve to yell at us!" Applejack agreed.
While mostly everyone agreed, Rainbow Dash was looking in the direction he had walked, and sighed.
"What's wrong, Rainbow Dash? Don't tell me he didn't seem mean. He yelled at us!" Pinkie asked.
"Well Pinkie, don't you think that we shouldn't be you know, so judgmental of him, I mean we didn't even say anything to him. I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna go see if I can find him," Rainbow Dash retorted.
She began to walk to Sugarcube Corner, when she heard Applejack making a comment, "Hey, y'all think Rainbow Dash has a crush on this new pony?"
Rainbow Dash turned around, picked up a rock, and flung it at Applejack, knocking her hat off.
When Rainbow Dash finally got to Sugarcube Corner, she looked around to see him sitting at a table in a cafe eating some cupcakes. She walked over to him and poked him with her hoof.
He looked over, groaned, and scowled, "Oh great, here to ignore me some more?"
Rainbow Dash laughed. "If I was ignoring you, I wouldn't have come here."
"At least you have some common sense," the pony said.
Rainbow Dash asked, "So what's your name?"
"Uh… well… it's Darkened Hallow. But you can call me um… call me Hal or something, I don't know," he replied.
"Do you not like your name?" asked Rainbow Dash. "No, no, I'm fine with it, it just sounds a bit too strange, you know?" Darkened Hallow answered.
"Strange? It sounds perfect the way it is," Rainbow Dash replied.
"Uh, thanks, I guess," Darkened Hallow responded nervously.
"So, I was thinking that maybe you and I could go hang out in the forest together, you know, just you and me?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
Darkened Hallow stared at her blankly. Did she just say what he thought she did? This was awkward to hear, especially as they had only known eachother for not even a day! "Oh well" he thought. "It couldn't hurt."
So as Rainbow Dash sat there waiting for a response, Darkened Hallow finally answered;
"Erm, sure. Spending some time with you ought to be nice."
"That's great! We can hang out today if you want." Said Rainbow Dash
"Sure. I don't have much to do anyway." Agreed Darkened Hallow.
While Rainbow Dash ate her cookies, Darkened Hallow couldn't help but stare into her magenta eyes. Did he feel attracted to her? Was he in love with her? As he thought to himself, she caught him staring and blushed, in fact, so did Darkened Hallow. They both stared into each other's eyes for a few minutes. Rainbow Dash kind of felt as if she just wanted to lean over and kiss him for some reason, but she stopped herself. She didn't want Darkened Hallow to think she was weird. So they both just sat there, looking at each other in silence for even longer. Finally, Mr. Cake told them that if they were just going to sit there, they had to leave.
"Alright then. I'll see you later, um, Rainbow Dash, right? Yeah, see you," Darkened Hallow said in a rushed manner.
"How did you know my name?" Rainbow Dash asked, suspicious of this fact.
"Well. Let's just say a little birdie told me." Darkened Hallow smiled before getting up and heading for the door. "Oh and by the way, thanks for not being a complete jerk like your friends."
Rainbow Dash smiled warmly. "No problem."
After Darkened Hallow left, Rainbow Dash herself enjoyed some more sweets. Then she heard giggling coming from the open window beside her. She looked out to see Applejack and Pinkie Pie, rolling on the roads from laughter. Rainbow Dash, growing annoyed, grabbed the left over pieces of cake on the table and threw it at them.
Meanwhile, Darkened Hallow walked to the Everfree Forest, where Rainbow Dash and he were to meet. He couldn't stop thinking about his new friend.
"No, stop it. Stop thinking. I'm not going to do this again. This isn't why I came here anyway," he said scornfully. "I came here to find them. And if I don't, then I don't have reason to be here," But, as he finished talking to himself, he turned around. "But I- I can't help it. Before I start looking, I'll stay there for a while." As he arrived back in Ponyville, he remembered seeing Applejack and Pinkie Pie look through a window at Sugarcube Corner to see them as he left.
"I think I'll pay Applejack a nice little visit first."
Author's Note
I am aware that some of the ratings (by ratings I mean 'M' and 'Gore', etc.) do not fit in this certain chapter. However, during chapter three to five is when the really juicy start will finally start rolling in.
