“I wish I could touch those colorful images…” I mutter staring at the computer screen “Oh wait, I can!” looking both ways, I pull out my D4 and shout under my breath “DIGI-PORT OPEN!” with a bright flash, I disappear, leaving a holo-disc on the chair.
When I come to, I make sure I have all of my appendages, turning around, I trip over a pony.
A mint green pony. A mint green pony with gold eyes. And a lyre as her cutie mark. THE gold eyed, lyre marked, mint green pony. I instinctually stuff my hands into my pockets; but the damage has been done. She faints, due to my kind nature I transform into an alicorn, and fly her home.

Opening the door with telekinesis, I lay the unconscious pony on a very hard- looking couch and turn to leave when I bump into every (ponies’) bodies’ favorite pink party pony. She goes to open her mouth when I cast a spell, causing her mouth to melt like in “the matrix”.
She opens her mouth as I remember that she is immune to most spells. “Why did you do that?! Hey you’re an alicorn! Are you royalty? I’m pinkie pie! I like parties! What about you?!” she rambles. I hear the sound of dishes clattering and bonbon comes out with a broom “Out! Get out pinkie pie!” to this the pony dons a ninja headband and says “confetti smoke bomb!” and disappears in a flash.
Turning around to speak with bonbon, she does something contrary to her character, leans down and kisses Lyra on the head and beckons for me to follow.
I comply, hovering up the stairs. As we enter her room, she nods towards a chair across from her. She sighs and points to me, “you can drop the act cat, I know it’s you”
With a shrug, my disguise warps to reveal my usual form. With a disappointed look “Well! I bring your mare friend back to you, at my own expense and the kindness I have where my heart should be, and you dismiss me like a common street urchin!” unfazed, she blinks as if to say “are you done?”
“Anyways, what happened?” she asks, tossing a candy my way
“I came through a computer, wishing to converse with ditzy doo, but instead I land right in front of Lyra, she faints, I transform into an equine, and brought her here”
“Well! This is nice! Because I finally convinced her that humans aren’t real”
“But you know their real; why not show her the proof? If you do, it will make her happier than a foal in a toy store. The longer you keep the truth hidden, the harder-“
“I know what will happen!!” she yells, then starts to weep “But if I tell her, she’ll leave! I can’t be alone! You know what happened the last time somepony left me behind! The first time was not my fault, what do you think will happen if I caused it?! You have no idea how it feels to be left behind and lonely!!” she grabs the bed sheets
(SLAP!)
“‘No idea’ huh? Do you know how many times my loved ones have died and left me behind? Holding their broken, dead bodies? Unlike you, I have the worst curse of all; IMMORTALITY! I. CAN’T. DIE. What makes life so grand is that it ends! You can make every moment count! But I can’t! All those I touch die! But so long as I am needed, so long as there are children crying, I will be there to save lives!” I yell, tears rolling down my face. “I came to this world because of its simplicity, to become awashed with the colors, but as always, some prude wants to ruin it!” I sigh, sitting back down.
“I–I-“she stammers
Opening the window, my wings unfurling, “Always about you; isn’t it ms.bon?” I jump out, heading to the mail mare’s cottage.
The next day I return to check-up on lyra when the pony in question shoots out the door, knocking me onto my back. She grabs my wrist but notices it has a hoof attached to it, and attached to that is a black alicorn. “Well, I see you’re okay. Do you always rut on the second date? If so, I must say I misjudged your character. As a side note, we really need to stop running into each other like this, it is wreaking havoc on my lower back! If I slip a disk in my spine, my chiropractor will bolster his rates, which means no book shopping spree… but I digress, my name is Midnight Felinus Mare, but you may call me ‘Midnight’ ‘Nightmare’ or as most ponies call me, ‘kitty’. I gathered from your friend that you have a very strong belief in the species ‘homo erectus’. Not many ponies believe in the existence of such a race, but I’m not one of them. Most believe such ideas and delusions are best left to little foals and cryptozoologists. I would love to work with you; may I see your notes?” I ask, looking the shocked pony in the eyes.
Then a shadow falls over me. “Well good morning ms.bon! Looking like an uptight fuddy-duddy as usual. I was just talking to Ms. Heartstrings about –“she grabs my tail “FORCEFULL! I LIKE IT! Though could you be a dear and drag me by my wings? My horn is very sensitive! And not in a good way! By the hoof would be CRACKERS! Watch out for that mud puddle! (Blub blub) well THAT was rude! Oh! Look! Stairs! Let me stand up and then… Ow! Ow! Ow! … Head… bleeding… we’re going up MORE stairs? Wonderful! Now maybe I can stand – Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! ... Several… contusions… can’t… feel… hooves…”
In her room, she flings me into a chair; I look at her with unfocused, mud covered eyes. THAT was smashing! We should rut more often! Cheerio! Eh, wot?” I ramble, falling face first out of the chair.
“You are as random as discord, of course being the multi-dimensional envoy of chaos, I suppose you would be. Why are you here?! Do you get off on making every pony’s lives harder?” she yells, pointing at me with a hoof.
Floating back to my seat, I say “I came to erase her memories, including those regarding humans. That is why I said I wanted to see her notes, so that I may collect / destroy the research. Her memories will be replaced. Is that not what you wanted? If I remember correctly, you wanted her to stay, not to leave you behind to search for humans. If you want, I can erase your memories of humanity as well. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a job to do.”
I find the green unicorn levitating the materials with a gold aura, “her power must come from her eyes” I remark to myself.
“Here are the things you asked for!” she chirps.
It hurts me to do this… “Let’s go into your study, the light is better” I suggest, taking the materials from her. As we enter, I do psychic sonar to find any materials she was hiding. Nothing. I approach her, having put the materials down and touch her horn with mine, wrapping us in my wings, I enter her mind.
It is the same green as her fur, approaching her memories; I am greeted by a giant iodized iron gate. I search for any cracks in the gate, noticing the detail, it has several figures of humans jumping out of it, some feet, hands, tops of heads, but what is most striking is the small journal there, upon a dais in front of the gate. With further inspection, it has several simple drawings of humans and ponies in forests, homes, most of them are without a background.
As I go to turn the page, the gate and dais morph into a human with gold eyes, pale skin, stardust wings, a lyre in her hand, long green hair flowing down until the small of the back, undisturbed except for a single white streak.
Floating to her level I ask “so, I guess you are her psyche?” she responds with a melody that knocks me back, shattering my disguise. Shaking it off, I fly back over and look at her with a manic grin.
“Why did you do that? That hurt!” to this she answers “you will not harm her memories! She is me, and I her! She has done nothing wrong! Why do you do this?”
This gives me pause. Why was I doing this, hurting a friendly being? “I-I was angry, angry at the humans she admires. I was petty and childish” I crouch, holding my head in my hands
“Forgive me lyra” with a sweet melody, I am back in her study, in my humanoid form. “Oh bu-“I manage before I am cut off by a happy green blur knocks me down, her horn piercing my solar plexus. I promptly pass out.
I wake up on a very stiff couch with a heavy, warm lump under my jacket. Looking down my collar, I see a sleeping lyra curled up on my chest. Not wanting to wake her (for more reasons than one) I pull out my fore arm mounted D4 and open the digi-port by using a TV. As I traverse the data stream, I notice that I am cold. Looking over my shoulder, I see that it is on the couch, with a squirming lump under it. I press a button and I am back in my jacket, with lyra creating psychic arms hands and wraps them around my chest. She looks up at me with wide eyes, as if attempting to commit every detail to memory. She extends a soft hoof, and starts to trace my jawline. One of the arms runs up my arm, pressing on my bones, lingering to trace a circle on my inner elbow. The hand runs up my arm, rubbing the inside as she kneads my hand; then I see it, an open sketch book with 5 pencils drawing what she felt. She moves both fore hooves along my chest, the magic fingers tracing the fine details, especially my scars. The hands wrap around my back and runs down my spine. As she moves one lower, I say to her “stop. Now.” She flinches, the magic disappearing. She collapses on my chest, breathing softly. I unzip my jacket and open my shirt. Lift her off of me, and walk out the door.
I approach a radio store and buy some parts. From a hardware store I purchase a window, some light bulbs, some bread boards, a soldering iron, and a spool if solder. My final stop is to a type writer store and I buy a type writer, some quills, ink, and a package of parchment.
Teleporting all of the materials to where I came from, I start to make the very first portable computer with a hammer space infused briefcase for easy storage. As I test the processing, I remember that I have a sonic multi-tool which provides the energy. I open the portal and I am enveloped by a white light and land on a very uncomfortable chair.
Except the “chair” is a couch, with a sleeping pony on it. I remember that I never closed the portal here. “Third times the charm” I say, opening the portal.
As I land in the library, I regret the chair I chose being a roller, which skids back and tips over, my head hitting the floor. After sitting for a few seconds, waiting for the world to stop spinning, I hear the sound of an e-mail being received. Looking at the computer, I see that it was genei. Opening it, it says that something came with me
“Wow! So this is the human world!” comes a voice from my jacket
“It’s not all that great, well, to me anyways” I reply, righting the chair
“How can you say that?! Humans are majestic creatures! Hey, pull your hood back! I can’t breathe!”
“Sorry”
… Wait…
“LYRA! What are you doing here?!” I yell, her head popping out of my jacket.
“To see real live humans!” she cheers, nuzzling my cheek
“Great, just great, now I have a green pony with a human fetish, and school starts next week! I’m screwed!” I yell, putting my head in my hands.
“It could be worse, it could have been derpy” she says
“Honestly, I would have preferred ditzy”

it is a very windy day in the city, a lone walker steps up to the local library, his home and safe haven, where that morning's horrible events won't affect him
i am this walker, hello...
i log into DA and start looking at pictures of ponies, listening to techno on youtube, and just lounging around and being a layabout
"sometimes i wish that i was in the world of TV or whatever, what do you think?" i ask my conscience
"first off, you are aware you are talking to a figment of your imagination right?" it replies, sitting on the top of the computer
"i am very well aware, i have no friends in the immediate area and all i have to do is listen to music, look at pictures, and talk to you, so, i might as well do all three" i reason "if you aren't going to be helpful, just say so"
"i would if i were real, i am only telling you what you want me to say, while yes in a way i am a psychic construct of your lonliness, i cannot think for myself except if you beleive i-" "i get it, and please... wait... thanks!"
"what did i-" he asks before i pull my sketch book out, "imagination, the ultimate key to ideas! here we are!" i open up to a drawing of a D4 i made the week before and focus on it
with an audible pop, the drawing becomes real "heehee! i love how reality is subjuctive!"

i scroll on the page loking for inspiration when i see lyra in a comic
"i wish i could enter the colorful world of ponies" i say when the idea hits me, i pull out the newly real D4 and point it to the screen
