The cough: an unofficial sequel

In the darkness, some pony coughed

''Oh Celestia, who is it this time?'' Twilight asked, her horn lighting up the room once more. She could see Fluttershy's mangled corpse, She looked away.

Rainbow Dash was shaking and mumbled ''...Er...''

''Rainbow Dash did you?...''

''N-no!'' The Pegasus cut her off.

''She must just be disturbed, I mean she did just kill her best friend right?'' Twilight said.

''More than that.'' Rainbow stated, her voice was broken, shattered, destroyed.

''...Yes Rainbow, more than that.'' Twilight said with a grim tone to her voice.

''Well...who did it?'' Applejack broke the silence.

''I did.'' A 25 something man walked up. Not a pony, a man.

''Dan, no!'' Twilight said, Almost filling the room with tears.

Dan wore jeans, a black T-shirt that said 'Jerk' on it, and black shoes. He had a soul-patch, green eyes, And black hair.

''Dan....no...'' Twilight repeated, her voice now a whisper.

''I'm so sorry Twilight, but I was the one who coughed. And you know the rules.'' Dan said.

''Put your head up against the wall sugarcube. Just...like...Flutter...shy...'' Applejack started to choke on her own words.

Dan did as he was told.

''I'm so sorry Dan'' Twilight said through tears. ''I'll use my magic to crush your head up against the wall. It will be as quick as I can make it.''

''I cant believe how much I hate everyone...except you Twilight...'' Dan said.

''I love you Twilight, so much.'' Dan said.

''I..love..you..too..'' Twilight said, pausing after each and every word.

Twilight's magic began to flare up, Dan could feel his head pressing up against the wall. Slowly at first, but soon the pain was excruciating. Dan started to scream.

And the more Dan screamed, the more Twilight cried. And the harder she pressed, the louder Dan screamed.

Dan uttered one last ''goodbye.'' and then, there was a loud crunch, and then, nothing...

Every pony cried silent tears, except twilight, whose tears weren’t so silent...

In the darkness...some pony coughed...

No pony said anything...until applejack spoke up ''It was me, just kill me and get it over with...''

''No...that wasn’t your cough, your cough is very different from the rest of us.'' Twilight stated through tears. ''But I do know who it is, its....Spike.'' She said crying more than ever.

''Its true'' spike piped up ''I guess its my turn huh?''

Twilight nodded through more tears than ever. ''I cant believe I lost my best friend...and now I'm going to lose my brother...'' Twilight said still crying. ''No...I cant do it.'' Twilight said.

''Its okay Twilight, I forgive you...So who is going to...Kill me?'' Spike shuddered.

''I...will'' Rarity said.

''Rarity?'' Spike said in surprise.

''Yes my dear spike, it must be me.'' Rarity said.

Spike nodded. '' So how are you going to...You know?'' Spike made a throat slicing gesture with his claw.

''Exactly that'' Rarity said grimly.

Spike's eyes grew wide. '' By cutting my throat!?'' Spike said in disbelief.

Rarity nodded.

Twilight intervened. ''I won't let you Rarity. Come on, what a horrible way to...die'' Twilight choked up on the last part.

''Come on Twilight! Think realistically here, we don’t have much of a choice.''

Twilight grimaced at the sudden realization that...She was right! Oh how she wishes she was wrong, but Twilight knew that was the only combat spell Rarity knew.

Rarity was sitting on the edge of a bed with a pose very similar to a pony named Lyra. Rarity patted her leg signaling spike to jump onto her leg.

So Spike did just that. ''So...i guess this is it.'' Spike said.

Rarity nodded. And a sharp knife materialized out of thin air. Rarity put the knife to Spike's throat, and cut.

Spike was than squirming around gasping for breath, blood spewing everywhere. Rarity was hugging him tightly while singing a nursery rhyme.

The other ponies all sung in unison until Spike stopped squirming. except Rainbow dash, who was still cowering in the corner.

Than they all started crying, not even trying to keep it quiet this time.

In the darkness....some pony coughed....

''Who was it this time?'' Twilight said, more annoyed than sad at this point.

''I-it was me.'' Derpy spoke up.

''Lets get this over with.'' Twilight said. Twilight was very annoyed and mad at this point. Twilight forced Derpy's head up against the wall.

''I'm scared.'' Derpy said.

''No pony cares.'' almost all of the room said, except Applejack who ran over and bucked Twilight.

''What was that for!?'' Twilight angrily asked.

''For ya treating poor Derpy here like trash!'' Applejack said.

Applejack took Derpy into her hooves and started stroking her mane.

''Thank...you.'' Derpy said.

Applejack shushed Derpy and said ''Its okay Derpy, everything will be over soon.''

Applejack very gently put Derpy's head up against the wall and said ''I'm sorry Derpy.''

''Its okay.'' Derpy said. ''I'm not scared anymore.''

Applejack smiled and bucked Derpy as hard as she could. There was a crunch, and then it was over.

Applejack was still smiling, but was crying at the same time.

''Derpy, no!'' Doctor Whooves ran in. ''You killed Derpy! You monsters!'' Doctor Whooves yelled in his normal British accent.

''If yer gonna blame any pony its gonna be me. Ah killed Derpy, I'm sorry.'' Applejack apologized.

Doctor Whooves had a somber look on his face. ''She was the only one that truly understood me...''

Pinkie pie hopped up. ''Come on, cheer up silly billy!''

Doctor Whooves gave her a glare. ''Get away from me.'' he said in a grim tone of voice.

Applejack also gave pinkie a hateful glare ''You were one that said she doesn’t care about Derpy's feelings.

Doctor Whooves had his eyes shut, not anymore. He sprang into Pinkies face and said ''You said what!?''

Pinkie backed up ''Oh come on, its like a game, right?''

Doctor Whooves was edging closer to pinkie. ''Hows this for a game!?'' He punched pinkie right in the stomach, Pinkie puked all over the floor.

Then Pinkie bucked Doctor Whooves across the room. Pinkie Then ran over to Doctor Whooves and started to buck him to death.

Just before the final buck, he said ''I'll see you in hell'' And then there was a crunch, and then, nothing.
