Fire it is the beginning and the end. Fire can scorch the land killing everything it comes across but in its trail comes rebirth. This is how it is maintained. But this isn't true for a scientist named Slade. He along with his partner Test tried to come up with the cure for a deadly magical disease only for the greed of one to over shadow the lives of many. In a fit of rage Test spread lies and slander about Slade. The village rioted and put him to the torch. Left dead and broken Slade performed a ghastly surgery on himself replacing the damaged limbs and saving his life, while costing him it in turn. Now it a facility that his forefathers built he lives alone managing his time between finding the cure and trying to stay alive when he needs electricity to survive. Left alone being part machine part pony he feels decimated and imperfect living in a world surrounded by the perfect.

As of now Chapters 1 and 2 have been re-written. This is the first of many as I go along.
