Destiny of a Teenage Knight

Today was going to be a long day for James. He was going to have to explain to his father why he was not home last night, why he skipped school, and why he was covered in cuts and bruises. The first of the Three was going to be easy to explain, the other Two, not so much.
James got out of bed, put on some clothes, walked down the stairs only to see his father standing at the door wait for James to get down stairs.
"Why weren't you here last night, when I got home, you worry me to death son." James could tell he was only acting like he cared, he never cared about him, hell he could come home with a broken arm and then his dad would beat the shit out of him for hurting himself.
"Hey are you listening to me? James asked you a question."
"Well, it looks like someone has finally grew a heart, ether that or we have company over for the day, so which is it, old man." he hatted it when James would call him that, it got under his skin and would really piss him off.
"What have I told you about calling me that, you know I don't like it James.
"Yep there must be someone else here, other wise you would have beat the shit out of me by now. Oh and I was out with a few friends last night, and don't worry we just hung out and talked all night, no drugs or drinking was done by me or my friends.
"Did you have fun?" his father was never this nice to him, it must be something special for him not to hit me today.
"Um.... yeah we all had fun, why did you want to know?" James asked a little confused at why his dad was so caring towards him.
"Can't a dad ask his son how his day was every now and then?"
"Well I guess you can, but you never ask about how my day is to often."
"Well I'm glad you and your friends had fun last night son." his dad said with a bit more glee then normal
"Um, ok sorry I worried you dad, i just thought you wouldn't mind me hanging out with my friends." James stated only to be hugged by his dad who said
"I don't mind you seeing them, but give me a heads up from now on ok?"
"Ok dad I will."
~~~~~~One Month later ~~~~~~~~~~~
James walks up to a newly dug grave and looks at the head stone. it says
"Here lies Jason Fultz, Loving father of James Fultz and husband to Sierra Fultz 1965-2013"
James was just standing there in tears as he stood above his fathers grave, which was near his mothers grave. James no longer had anyone left in his life, he was alone with no one else to help him in his times of need, but he won't let that stop him, even though his father died with out telling him he had brain cancer that was killing him, no he didn't care about that he was just glad he was able to say goodbye to him before he left this world and passed on, no this was going to make him a stronger man, he wouldn't let this stop him. Nothing every will stop him from his path of justice for those who have not gotten it. For all the lost loved ones out there.
~~~~~~ Later that Night ~~~~~~~~~~
"Looks like the streets are clear, I guess I'll have an easy night." James said as he was sat on the top of a motel in the slums of New York City.
"HELP" there was a scream that made James jump into action and throw on his hood to hide his face, then he jump from the building, he landed in the street near the alley
"HELP" he heard the scream again, but this time you could tell some details in the voice, like it was a higher pitch, (It might be a woman being attacked by some thug again like always.) James thought as he turned the corner to the alley only to be meet by pure darkness ( maybe I took a wrong tur)
"HELP" he heard the voice again, it was coming from this alley. with that last cry for help he charged head first into the alley until he saw a faint light coming from the end, he speed up. He saw the person who was being attacked, it was a young woman. When he saw a woman in trouble it always ticked him off, just thinking about why a man would attack a poor defenseless woman, the thought always made him sick.
"Stop right there criminal scum." James stated as he tackled the attacker to the ground and then proceeding to beat the shit out of him until he knocked him out cooled. After he was done beating this criminal scum he walked over to the woman who was sitting in the dark part of the alley
"Are you alright ma'am?" he asked as he held out a hand to her, she took his hand and stood up and looked at the stallion who helped her, when James helped her up off the ground he looked at her and saw that she had big ears, a sort of snout, then he looked at her legs and instead of feet, he saw hooves, his eyes went into the back of his head when he saw that she had a tail and fainted.
~~~~~~Unknowns amount of time ~~~~~~
James shot up out of the bed he did not remember getting in. He grabbed his head in an attempt to stop the pounding in it
"Ugh where am I?" he asked him self as he looked around, then he spotted his hoodie laying on a near by chair when he realized that he only had a his boxers on and on of the weird robes the doctors give you when you go to the hospital. He was freaking out about how he got here, in fact he was wondering where here was. He got out of his bed and walked towards the window to see if he can tell where he was, when he got to it he was left breathless as he saw more of the things that he saved last night.
'Knock, Knock, Knock' James quickly turned and ran to the bed and made it look like he was still unconscious, the door opened to show one of those things in a nurses outfit leading in the woman he saved, he remembers those sapphire blue eyes and that purple hair
"Here's the thing that saved you Rarity, you can wait here for him to wake up if you want."
"Its quite alright darling, I don't mind wait, after all I never thanked him for saving me, so it will be worth the wait Nurse."
"Ok Rarity, when he wakes up come get me, some other ponies would like to speak to him."
"Of course darling, what friend would I be if I didn't tell the nurse when there patient woke up?" (so that's what there called, ponies, weird name but it fits with there hooves and all) James thought as the nurse closed the door behind her as she left the room. James sat up and said
"So your the one I saved, and then made me faint, so who are you, what are you, and where am I, cause I might seem calm to you but i'm about to freak out here if I don't get some answers." James got off the bed a walk over to the frightened pony, seeing that he scared her he said
"No need to be scared ma'am, for I'm the Modern Knight." he held his hand up and continued to rant about who he was
"I'm the man who no one can catch, and the man who catches those that have done wrong, like the man who assaulted you." she still had a terrified expression on her face, so he thought it would be best to go back and sit on the bed with his head low in shame for scaring a young lady like herself. She saw this and realized it was the face she was making so she quickly went up to him and said
"What are you sad for, you saved my life and for that I am grateful" she pulled him into a hug, which he accepted and returned the favor and said
"Well, the people where I come from act like Im some criminal, and not the hero I am." she could hear the hurt in his voice so she held him tight and said
"What, why would anypony ever do that to somepony like you, well let me tell you this, here in Ponyville we give credit where credit is do and you darling deserve more than you get back where you came from."
"No, why do I deserve anything I get, first I was given some weird powers that I can't control half the time, next my dad dies, and now look at me, and now I'm talking to a horse/human crossbreed, God I hate my life sometimes." James was getting upset about not knowing where on earth he was, or even if he was still on earth, that's when he realizes he's talking to a female horse thing
"Yep its official, I'm nuttier than a bag of trail mix." James sighed as he laid down in the hospital bed and then said
"This is all a dream, it's not real, just a figment of my imagination, hell I could be on drugs." James was no longer feeling so good as he came to realize that he was no longer in Kansas anymore let alone New York City, then a thought struck him, how was he going to protect his home town, how was he going to save the innocent.
"Um, your names Rarity right?" James asked Rarity which she replied with a nod
"Ok, good, um i have a question for you Miss Rarity."
"Well ask away darling."
"What planet is this?"
"Well Eques of course, why do you ask darling."
"Well, to answer your question with another question, where is this planet located in the solar system?"
"In between the sun and the moon."
"Great, just great." James got off the bed and walked over to get is gear from the chair on the other side of the room
"What are you doing darling?" Rarity asked wondering why was he getting his dreadful clothing from the chair, then an idea sprang into her head as she rushed over to tell him what she had just thought of
"Oh um darling I just got an amazing idea on how to repay you for your actions, I can make you some new clothing since yours is um, not meaning to sound rude here, but you clothes are awful."
"Sorry miss but I don't take repayments all I need is a 'thank you' and I'm good, because as a hero I must put others ahead of myself, even if it's life or death, I would gladly give my life to save someone else."
" I don't take no for an answer, um what's your name?"
"James, and if you want to make me some clothes, then fine." he stated with a hint of anger in his voice
"Well then, James, let me tell the nurse your up and ready to get out of here, and get the release form." James knew this was going to be a long day and he is still freaked out about all of this. A thought struck James, where was his cell? That's all James could think about as he waited to be cleared from the hospital
"Hey Rarity, do you know where my phone is?" He ask Rarity, she stood there in thought and the said
"Oh yes, I nearly forgot, I found you phone in the alley after you saved me. she handed him his phone and they left to go to her shop.
