That clump, a blob as soft as butter, so fragile and mallable and so easily destroyed—that clump holds all my memories, all my thoughts, all my dreams and aspirations. And it’s sitting there, surrounded by arcane machines, some powered by magic, some by electricity (in part thanks to research performed by yours truly.). It is keeping me alive. Well, not me. Me is pretty much gone. It is keeping my mind alive, more accurately. What a terrifying thought. And to think, when I was first waking up, if it can even be called that when one is trapped within ones mind, that was what it looked like, with alicorns and unicorns beaming their thoughts into my head and reading my own. Quite a trip I tell you.

Welcome to the Inner Workings of My MindView OnlineGalateaWelcome to the Inner Workings of My MindThree weeks, four days, seventeen hours, twenty three minutes, and about forty-five seconds after I slam into the ground at twenty celestes per hour, I begin to at last permanently float back into the world of consciousness. But I do not understand this. My world is an abstract painting of indeterminate sensations, qualia floating around my mind. Occasionally I feel Celestia or Luna or some other pony's voice in my head, but i lack the wherewithal to even attempt to respond. I vaguely wonder if I am dead, but do not yet have the cognizance to properly formulate this thought. I appologize for the abstractness of these descriptions, but my mind has become looser, so to speak, since the accident. For several days I float in a sea of dreams, mad visualizations of chaos (as dreams tend to be). Slowly these become more clear, until (I am told) at 3:19, after dreaming of eating cheese-zaps with Cadance, I regain my self-awareness. I try to blink, but nothing happens. I cannot, I realize, feel my body. In fact I cannot feel anything. I am trapped in my mind, and I suddenly feel very, very alone. "Hello?" I ask. "Oh my gosh! She's awake! The princess is awake!" a voice bursts out into my awareness, and I am confused. Why is there a voice in my head, I wonder, my thoughts reduced to infantile musings. I wait for the voice again, but it does not come. Instead, I feel a strange sensation of my conscious expanding, of my mind being stretched. "Hello?" I ask. "Hello Twilight." I recognize the voice. It is Princess Celestia. I don't know who she is, but I recognize the name, and know she is my friend. "Hello Princess," I say, except I don't say it. I think it. And then I think what has been on my mind for days, if not entirely formed until this moment. "Am I dead?" I appologize for the abstractness of these descriptions, but my mind has become looser, so to speak, since the accident. Twilight blinked. Well, she tried to, but nothing happened. Infact, a, "I'm sorry Twilight, but I'm not sure you'll ever be able to use your magic again."
