I sighed and put on my empty backpack. I needed supplies, such as quills and ink. Spike coudn't get them for me like usual, because he had a real bad stomach ache after eating all those sweets, even when I told him not too. I wasn't lazy - I was fairly sure - but I've much rather be studying and reading books then getting paper and such. Ok, stay focused. I made a mental checklist of what I needed to do. First was visit Applejacks farm, she promised to get spike a apple tart. I'll start with that. I started trotting toward the direction of the farm, but I noticed something. Everypony was staring at me, some murming things to other ponies. Was something wrong? I guess I should just ignore them,

(Apple acres)
As finally getting to the farm, I sighed, reliefed. Those murming crouds were getting more annoying then strange. I looked around, it was silent. Strange, the apple family was always up. Maybe I came too early..No, it was 8:15 when I left, and it only takes 40 minutes to get here, surely the apple family would be up before then. Ok, now I'm really worried. I took quick steps, up onto the door. I knocked, no answer. I knocked again. Now I was really nervous. A sweat bead appeared on my forehead. Oh no! What if something horrible happ-
My thoughts were cut off by the loud squeak of the old door. Applebloom was there, here eyes a little bit pink. They were swollen, too. She sniffed.
'Ya here to see applejack?' The sniffled filly said.
'Yes! Can you get her? I was so wo-''
I was cut off, again, but this time by applebloom.
'Ya don' know, do ya?'
Oh no! Back to worrying again. Something bad DID happen!
'N-N-N-o, what happened?' I half talked, half squeaked out.
Appleblooms expression quickly turned to sadness.
'Fluttershys mother was killed.'

This is sorta a test. If this gets some positive feedback, I'll continue.
Do you guys like the plotline, though? I'm not really all that good and keeping the character in..well, character.
