I looked at the clock. 11:59 PM. Everypony would be asleep. My hoofs started to tremble. Could I get away with it? Is it worth the risk? For Fluttershy, it is. I opened the door, slowly, so it won't creek, and stepped outside. It was as cold as could be. As silently as possible, I closed the door, and flew off to Fluttershys cottage.

As I landed on the doorstep of the cottage, I began to wonder. How would I get in? I should've thought of this sooner! With a silent sigh, I walked around the cottage. Surely there had to be something! As I began to gave up, it hit me: Teleport! With a magic blast, I'm inside. Good. Now to search for evidence. As I read earlier, killers aren't as smart as you think. They leave something behind, whether its a letter or a string of hair. I looked inside and out of the house, but nothing showed up to prove Fluttershy innocent. Oh please oh please let there be evidence! Wait - the living room! I haven't checked it! With a flicker of hope, I went to the living room. As I entered, I saw a flash of movement. I hid behind the nearest furniture, which was a couch, out of fright and natural instinct. I peeked from behind the safety of the couch.
It was Lucas. Fluttershys old friend. He must've done it! But why?! They were such close friends! Ugh! I can't be-
''Hold the hoofs up nice n' slow, Lucas.'' a deep voice spoke.
Lucas froze. A male leg was sprung over the window cell, followed by a male body. I had no idea who he was. Whats going on?! Lucas is a unicorn, the mysterous male one was earth. Lucas must've been apart of it too, then. ''You search the kitchen, I'll search this one.'' With a smug face, the earth one trotted to the kitchen. I went back to the safety of the back of the couch. Maybe I could use magic to do something... one by one, I checked off my options.
Teleportion? He would surely hear me, and most likely come after me. besides, I coudn't teleport anyway, my energy is wary...
Distraction? I could distract him with a lamp or something, but it was far too risky. Too many possibilities. Too many endings...
My thoughts were interrupted by a loud clang. ''What happened?!'' the deep voice called out from the kitchen. ''Just a roach. House is full of em'.'' I went back to thinking, and narrowed it down to one choice. I peeked out again, and, with magic, I levitated a unplugged lamp, and, slowly, lured it to me. I silently took a deep breath. Here it goes. I slowly stepped out of safety, and, slowly, headed toward Lucas. His back was turned to me. Perfect. With a struck of movement, I bashed the lamp directly on his head. With a crack from the lamp, I yanked the cord out. I put the lamp down, and tied his hoofs up with the disconnected cord. I didn't wanna hurt him, but what choice did I have? ''Ya thought that desperate act was gonna save ya?'' With a jump, I was soon face - to -face with the deep voiced stallion. he had black eyes, grey hair, and a white body, which was followed by red peircings on his ear and snout. I was frozen in the state of shock. I coudn't move. He frowned. ''A dud? I usually don't make mistakes like that. Well, time to join your friend on the floor. With a smug grin, he pointed a gun at me.

And shot.
