The Night Fight
For the first time in their lives Thunderbolt and Firestorm where accually happy to be together. That was due to two ponies they met just before he flew in. Scootaloo had berated them about fighting, because they where sisters. "Scootaloo said at least you have each other, i have me..well and my friends." She was really mad at the twins. "if i was bigger I'd' knock your heads together, i never has a sister! you should be happy!" With that Scootaloo hopped on her scooter and sped off toward Ponyville.
Firestorm looked at the filly . "Wow she's Touchy, sheesh how dare she, what does she know about us? " Thunderbolt was always quick to respond. "Oh hush up, she sees us fighting, and thinks she's helping, lay off her. " The red striped Pegaus scowled at her twin. " Oh quit being such a tail kisser! You aren't gonna impress Rainbow Dash that way!" With that insult the golden colored pegasus jumped on her and started kicking at her "I'm no Tail Kisser! I hate Dash, she's nothing more than a lazy lump of pegasus!". Firestorm slammed her head into Thundebolt's side. " She IS NOT a Nothing! she's my best friend, and you ARE a tail kisser! " It was night time and the moon's glow was tainted with whatt looked like flashes of fire and lightning and everypony was getting scared.
It was then the newly returned Princess Luna headed into the fray, more angry than anyone had seen her since she was Nightmare Moon. Her anger scared the populace of Ponyville back inside their homes, doors and windows where locked up tightly yet no one slept that night. A loud booming voice resounded through the area. "THUNDERBOLT and FIRESTORM, do you dare ruin my peaceful night?" The twins kept fighting wildly, infuriating Princess Luna even more and she soon flew right into the fight. The moon princess was swept up in the melee and took a few strong kicks, one landed near her left eye and she growled. " ENOUGH!! You DARE strike a princess? With that her horn glowed and the green magic aura crackled towards the two pegasus twins. Soon they where floating in green bubbles. Luna's eyes glowed a bright green and she spoke forcefully. " You two weak little ponies don't know what you have!" She growled. " So I'll show you...MY WAY" Luna would shrink the bubbles around the now terrified twins. " Hey wait! I'm not that mad at her..she just irritated me, please don't clip my wings." Thundebolt pleaded. Firestorm looked at her trying to look brave " Easy princess, i did it, i started the fight, please leave my Sister alone, look at her she's terrified, please stop hurting her."
Luna spun the two together into a single Bubble. " Firestorm, you know one thing at least." She took awhile to calm down but she soon spoke to her two "prisoners" "Look at you two, insulting each other, yelling, and fighting." She Paused remembering the fights with Celestia and I. " You see those ponies down there" She'd point toward the ground " They USED to be asleep..now you woke them up..be glad that I'm not my sister. " The moon princess warned sternly looking at the twins encased in their bubble seeing a strange look in their eyes. " Regret. That's what we see in you..this is good you know that you did wrong, but there's much more than knowing you're wrong." Luna became gentle, kind and remorseful. "You two are sisters, but yet even more you are twins, two that are one. " Twins have a deeper and stronger bond that any two ponies could ever have." The twins looked at each other. Thunderbolt's eyes looked glassy as she was sad for what had happened. Firestorm just smiled quietly and wiped a tear aside. " Sorry i think I'm a little allergic to this bubble stuff" Luna giggled " Well if that's the case I'll release you IF you listen to me for once." Thunder was smiling " of course Princess whatever you say, we're on it" Fire rolled her eyes and whispered "Tail Kisser" Luna did hear this and looked at fire sternly "FIRESTORM!" " Oh umm yeah, sorry i'll listen" The red one corrected herself. " Excellant, now that i have your undivided attention, here's what you need to do " The deep Blue Alicorn spoke. "First; know you are twins, you'll never be alone." "Second; enough with the insults, they will hurt you even more than if you crashed to the ground and lived." "Third; if you MUST fight, make sure it's for a TRUE cause." " Fourth; Thundebolt, learn to defend your sister, because you know she will defend you." "Fifth; work on your kicks, you barely tickled me when you hit me ." Luna chuckled at that last one than got serious. " Finally and most importantly NEVER EVER let anything or anypony get between you two, you will need to save each other's lives soon." Luna's dark warning shocked the twins, who looked at each other " I'll try to be better toward you Firestorm" Fire finished thunder's thought " I'll try not to insult you as much as i do Thunderbolt."
The twins then had something dawn on them, and they made what they called a "Sisterhooves Pledge" .

"Sounds really good doesn't it?" The storyteller looked around and paused. " Well we'll see just how things go."
It wasn't too long ago they where best friends,and closest pair of twin sisters you'd ever meet. I'm Princess Sparkle Sky.
I met Thunderbolt and Firestorm through my husband, Draco Flare's, friend. Night Streak was a blind, ground bound alicorn, and had a weird way to him. The two young mares really fell hard in love. Best thing i can do is start from when i first saw them as a team. It was the day of the huge spring storm and all the pegasi where moving fast to keep it on schedule, as it was the most important storm in the year. Normally Rainbow Dash would be leading this storm, but this year the burden fell on Thunderbolt's wings. When i saw them working i didn't know how wild they where. Thunderbolt was flying through ponyville making sure all the safety precautions where in place. Firestorm was moving with a flame trail behind wrangling the heavy grey couds into huge stacks. we where most impressed by this. Course my year went a wildly different way, i had to earn my wings again, and become an alicorn, then maybe i'd be concidered a princess, though i really doubted that was going to happen. That's another story for another time.
I think a year had passed since i had started out to re learn everything i was. The night i finally learned my final lesson, i met my husband, i was married a month later, and that's where this story truly Starts.
