1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10...
"You sure you'll be alright collecting these things Fluttershy?" asked Rainbow Dash in a concerned voice.
"Oh yes I basically live on the border of the Everfree Forest silly! I'll be fine!" Said Fluttershy in her usual soft spoken voice.
"Alright sugarcube! We'll be waiting for ya!" said Apple Jack.
And with that, Fluttershy was off to the Everfree Forest to retrieve the herbs she needed for her animals. The rest of the mares were having a picnic and Fluttershy took that as a 'This is my chance to slip away' signal. She enjoyed walks through the outer section of the forest due to the fact that its not that dangerous there. Just got to watch out for snakes, spiders, vines, poison joke, and other things like that.
Fluttershy reached the forest in mere seconds due to the quick pace she was making. She thought of many things while trotting along, though the one thing on her mind was the herbs. Some of her animals had been sick and she needed to treat them with the herbs on her list.
"Let's see here." She thought out loud and pulled out a list reading:
Two Bittersweet Leaves
One Bangler's Bane
Five Midnight pedals
three pints of spring water
one bunch of olives
"Okay, lets head for the Bittersweet Leaves first." She agreed with herself.
After what felt like hours, she finally came by the Bittersweet leaves and plucked only what she needed. The name implied to the taste due to the fact that the bittersweet taste flooded her mouth which nearly made her gag. She disliked that taste. She turned around and a sharp pain plunged through her chest. She looked down. There was a spiky vine sticking into her side and blood seeping out of the entry way. How did she not notice this before, did it happen when she turned around?
Fluttershy gasped, and fell to the ground. She tried calling for someone but all that came out was a gurgle. The vine had punctured her lung. She looked up. All she could see were tree tops and a blinding white light that she presumed to be the sun. This was wrong, so very wrong. This wasn't supposed to happen. It never was.
Fluttershy closed her eyes and realized that this was where her life will come to an end. Tears formed into her eyes as she began to do the only thing that she could possibly think off. Count:
ONE
Memories of her mother flooded into her mind as she thought. She was a single mother and they weren't very financially gifted so she never really got much. But what she did have, she was very thankful for.
TWO
Memories began to seep in her brain about school. The day she met Rainbow Dash and received her cutie mark. But with the good memories came the bad ones as well. Memories of the other foals destroying any confidence she had left. She could even remember the mocking of the other foals, 'Fluttershy! Fluttershy! Fluttershy can hardly fly!". But no matter what, Rainbow Dash stuck with her like a magnet and gave her confidence. She was the reason Fluttershy even could fly.
THREE
She remembered first meeting Angel. Her cute pet was stuck under a tree and was extremely malnourished when she found him. She used all of her strength and wing power to pull the fallen tree off of the bunny and they immediately attached to one another. Since then they had good moments and bad moments but everything between them always worked out.
FOUR
She remembered finding Rainbow Dash in Ponyville. Fluttershy originally moved to Ponyville because of her special talent and most of the animals lived there. She found Rainbow Dash while teaching a bird how to fly. They were best friends forever after that, or at least it would have been forever.
FIVE
Meeting Twilight for the first time scared her. The stranger walked up to her while she was trying to teach some birds how to sing for an upcoming event when the purple unicorn came out of no where and started asking different things, like her name, if she was the one coordinating the music. All she felt like doing was balling up into a little ball and hiding. The unicorn began to walk away when something caught her eye. A baby dragon. In truth, Fluttershy was afraid of dragons but in her eyes a baby one wasn't that bad. In fact it was rare. Especially a talking one!
SIX
Fluttershy's memories began streaming from her eyes as the memory of how the Elements of Harmony came to them that faithful night they defeated Nightmare Moon. The excitement in the air was stealing her breath as her element clung to neck as a gorgeous choker. That day all of them realized that their destinies were aligned forever.
SEVEN
Defeating Discord was hard. Especially when Fluttershy's mind was boggled and full of hateful thoughts about her friends. This caused her to become extremely mean and cruel. But in the end all of the mares managed to break free from there 'curses' as you may call them and defeated Discord.
EIGHT
When Discord came back Fluttershy was put in charge of turning him into a reformed state. It was again, hard work but in the end Discord realized that friendship is better than doing whatever he wants and stopped terrorizing Ponyville. Though he still has tendencies to do so sometimes. From that point on though he remains a loyal friend to them all, especially Fluttershy.
NINE
She remembered the wedding of Shining Armor and Cadence. The wedding was very eventful, especially since Cadence wasn't actually Cadence and changelings were attacking Canterlot and the only thing that could stop them was Cadence's love for Shining Armor. She always wanted a wedding, but the mare she was in love with wouldn't feel the same.
Ten
This was it, Fluttershy felt every bit of air escape her lungs, and a swirling light was forming around her. She managed to get out one thing before being sucked into the abyss and getting launched into free fall. "I love you all..." Then with that she woke up.
