Twilight Sparkle Eats a Peach
No one cares if you scream
Twilight bent her forehooves down, allowing her a easier view at that which lay ever so still on her dining room table.
"A peach you say? I'm afraid I've never had the pleasure to eat its flesh."
Her nostrils flared every so slightly as they dipped in closer to get a whiff of the soft, ever so slightly fuzzy, flesh of the fruit.
"I have heard they are quite the succulent little treat, but they are not a native species to the area," Twilight drew back slightly, musing, "Come to think of it I'm not even sure I know of the proper method in which to eat one."
Turning to gather her surroundings the knowledgeable pony consider this particular conundrum. To lack a piece of information to her seemed as important as lacking a limb to a lesser pony. And she was simply not going to let it stand.
With the library's kitchen being the only logical place to start her quest Twilight adjourned from her thoughts to that of a more practical searching method. This was, of course, Twilight's fallback method, and one that Spike quite despised.
In short this method consisted of Twilight pulling out all the drawers in the kitchen, emptying out the contents of the fridge, and veritably throwing things straight out of her pantry. She was not going to let a single thing be left untouched in her quest.
Knives, forks, lemon juice all of these passed her careful consideration. Apple peelers, chopsticks and granulated sugar too made it by her scrutiny. So many various utensils clinked together in complaint as the steadily growing tower accepted their brethren. And complain they did. That, you see, is what drove Twilight away from digging through various sauce pots and braising pans. With a crash like thunder the whole pile found its self collapsing inwards, seemingly finding itself in a micro black hole of its very own.
Looking across the scattered mess that once was known as her floor Twilight couldn't help but sigh at the dismal sight. Here and there certain items stood out to her, almost glistening in her eyes. Over there an apple peeler, its handle a carved decorative piece painted with bright hues, and there a cheese knife with its blade sharp and the tip pronged. Items more curious to her mind stood out too; the lemon juice and something else she did not even recall grabbing, a crystal clear bottle of soy sauce. A hoofful of other items got caught up in Twilight's magical snare too, items that beyond their call to Twilight's core Twilight did not even notice.
With the items of the trade now safely secured in her magenta miasma of magic Twilight went back to where she left the fruit. Like a picture it was, the stillness of it all. Twilight remembered the fond days that she spent with her mother as she looked at this sight, thinking of the art museums that they would occasionally frequent. That was the first place she ever encountered fruit quite like this...
Shaking clear the clouded thoughts of childhood memories Twilight smile, looking forward to what shepresumed would be a juicy mouthful of pure delight. To sink her equine teeth in, dull thought they were, into the tender flesh...Well to say Twilight was always excited to try new things was an understatement.
Running a hoof over the fuzz Twilight contemplated this feeling, each blistery hair of her own fur running across the soft, foal-like fur. That fur would simply not suffice, imaging it sliding down her throat left Twilight shivering in disgust. The apple peeler, it would seem, would come in handy quite quickly.
Giggling at the sight of the first few drops of the peach's juice appeared, Twilight dug the peeler in deeper, trying hard to get enough for it to bead up and pool off.
A piercing scream broke the concentration.
"Oh, good! You're awake," Twilight's slightest of frowns quickly shifted gears into that of a smile, "I was just starting."
The peach colored stallion's eyes rolled back in fright at the sight of the flayed skin.
"You see, I've never tasted a peach before. In my studies I always aim to try new things and well, that happened to be you I suppose," Noting the lack of response from the stallion, "If you need anything just ask. I'd be happy to get you some water to drink if you'd like."
As the lack of response continued Twilight turned back to her work. However right as the tip slid past the now blood stained fur an ear splitting shriek broke her concentration once more.
"For Celestia's sake," She growled, "Don't you know how incredibly rude it is to interrupt somepony that way while they are working? Especially with sharp objects! I could have slipped ," Twilight dug the knife in, heedless of the jarring wound or the obvious pain it caused, " accidentally and sliced you wide open!"
