//-------------------------------------------------------// Peacekeeper -by Eternal Aviator- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// >10-15< //-------------------------------------------------------// 10-15< 10-15< The loud thundering sound of the 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 filled my mind. I felt relaxed, then focused, then determined. It was this kind of sound and this kind of sound only that could sooth me in such a way. Every time it revved I felt empowered, every shift making me feel like I can go further. My car. The mighty Koenigsegg Agera R, modified to it's fullest extent with the best and the latest pursuit technology, and customized to blend into our enemy. Every time I sat in the seat I felt like one with the vehicle. I felt like I had more power than ever. I felt like I could bring down our nemesis. The racers don't stand a chance, for we are their rivals. "Seeker 1-1 here, Seeker 1-2 radio check." I said as the large door of the RCPD car trailer began to open up, revealing a mid-morning sky and the cement barricades that protected the command post equipment and trucks.   "Seeker 1-2, signal's good. How we doing this morning?" Asked Carlos Tess, my wingman, as the door finished it's slow decent and I drove out into the driveway in my undercover Koenigsegg Agera R interceptor, followed by Carlos in his undercover Hennessey Venom GT.   "Ready to rock." I said with a smile, the two of us sitting idol at the edge of the driveway. "Check your map for the patrol route I set for us." I said as I opened up the map of Redview County on the car's touchscreen. A cyan blue line highlighted a single route throughout all of Redview that eventually led back to the outpost, confirming my order. Not that it would be that easy; trouble would pop up sooner or later.   "I see it. Northeast along West Ridge Drive, continuing North to Lagoon trail and East past Sunset tunnel to the post?" Asked Carlos.   "Yep." I replied simply as I pulled out onto the road. Once we had gotten onto West Ridge, I checked in with dispatch.   "Dispatch, 10-86 (Officer/operator on duty). Seeker is beginning patrol sweep along West Ridge Drive." I stated calmly. Reporting a patrol was never something to expect a response to, so I didn't wait for one. After about ten minutes we started heading east along the green landscapes of Lagoon Trail.   "Nice morning today, isn't it?" Carlos said quietly.   "Sure is." I replied, looking up at the sun, which was dimmed by a fine layer of clouds that covered the sky. After another minute or so, dispatch called in over all channels.   "Be advised, a speedtrap near Southeast Sunset Tunnel just snared a possible street racer Westbound. Any units in the vicinity please respond." Immediately I replied.   "10-4 on that, Seeker units are en route. Code 1, standby, dispatch." I said firmly as I applied a bit more gas. "You get that, Carlos?"   "Copy that, on your six." Replied the officer as he sped up too. Less than a minute later a silver Ferrari Enzo Ferrari rocketed past us in the opposite direction. In an instant we were turned around and heading a near full speed to catch up with him, lights and sirens blaring.   "Dispatch, 10-99! 10-99 (Wanted vehicle spotted)! We're showing lights but he's not stoppin', this could be our guy. Going code 3!" I shouted as me and Carlos roared after him at near breakneck speeds.   "Copy that, officers on scene have engaged the suspect. 10-80 (Chase in progress) confirmed." Announced dispatch to the rest of the channels. When the Ferrari was finally seen again, we both closed in on either side of him. Before we could get beside him though, a large, flat, and blue plate dropped from the back of the car, surging with electricity.   "Mine! Watch out!" Cried Carlos as he and I swerved to avoid the pursuit breaker.   "Dispatch, suspect is trying to beat us off!" I said as I quickly closed the gap and rear-ended the car, making it swivel but keep going.   "Copy that; officer reports suspect is trying to run them off the road." Said dispatch. Once we were on either side of the car, I jerked hard to the left, forcefully side-slamming the racer and causing him to hit Carlos with decent force. Just as Carlos was probably about to do the same, a massive shock wave pulsed from the racer, forcing both of us into the side rails extremely hard.   "Agh! Dispatch, suspect is using force! We need to take this up a notch!" Yelled Carlos as the Ferrari started pulling away.   "Copy that, Seeker. Vehicle weapons are now online. Proceed with caution." Replied dispatch. Soon me and Carlos were closing in on him again as he turned right onto Lagoon Trail.   "Dispatch, suspect is heading North on Lagoon Trail. We're gonna need a roadblock to get this guy." I said in a near yell.   "Copy that. R.E.Z.A. (Redview Enforcement and Zoning Authority) units are taking position ahead of your heading, standby." Said dispatch.   "You okay, Carlos?" I asked as we drove side by side at high speed.   "Just a bit shaken." Replied the officer. "Let's get this guy." The roadblock was less then 0.2 miles away and the racer was in sight, so to deal a good blow I triggered the E.M.P. launcher and locked on to the back of the car.   "Be advised, I am locking on with E.M.P." I said as the crossair on my H.U.D. narrowed down on the rear vent on the car. Almost there... By now the R.E.Z.A. Marussia B2's were visible on the next turn, and the racer was about to go through the gap when... A large series of blue sparks emitted from the back of the racer as the taillights flickered and it swerved madly, ramming the front of one of the Marussia's and catching it's left tires on the layed out spike strip.   "Good hit in target, moving in for the arrest." I said as I rolled up behind him while Carlos went around the block and took position in front of him. Just before I could call in that the racer had been dealt with, the Ferrari's back tires started spinning in a burnout before it started rocketing forward.   "Negative! Negative on that bust, suspect is still mobile!" I shouted, switching to the private channel. "Carlos, hit him with E.S.F. (Electrostatic Field)!" The Hennessy turned and blasted after him and after a few seconds,   "E.S.F. activated!" He said before a loud static-y sound of a powerful collision sounded. "Suspect is disabled, I say again, 10-44 is busted. He's not going anywhere." I breathed a sigh of relief as dispatch spoke to him and I pulled away from the roadblock, heading towards him. "Roger that. Dispatch we're gonna need a 10-51 and cleanup. Lot of debris over here." Carlos said in a proud voice as I pulled up next to him.   "Nice job, bud." I said with a laugh. "You good?"   "Yep," He replied with a sigh. "sure get's the blood pumping, doesn't it?"   "No kidding." After the knocked out driver had been loaded into a Carbon Motor's E7, we continued down the road to the nearest command post for repairs and a commendation dispatch had said we'll receive for teamwork. Close to fifteen minutes of casual driving went by as the two of us talked and cracked a joke every now and then.   "That was a hell of a way to start the day, now wasn't it?" Commented Carlos as he rounded a turn. By now we weren't far from our command post, about a mile away heading south on Gullwing Drive. I was about to reply when I saw something moving in the left corner of my eye, running into the street.   "Rick look out!!" Cried Carlos as I jammed on the brakes, stopping just in front of six young adult girls who bee-lined it into the thick vegetation heading West, not bothering to stop or acknowledging the fact that they were completely naked. I honked the cop horn twice as I pulled over to the side of the road, followed by Carlos.   "What the hell?!" I said half to myself as I stepped out of the car and looked in the direction the six girls had disappeared off to. "Dispatch, I have a 10-15 (Civil disturbance) at my location, moving to deal with subjects." I said as Carlos and I climbed the rail and cautiously followed them. Looking through to a small clearing I saw them edging along the side of it. They would've been harder to see if two of them didn't have hot pink hair, one a prismatic pattern, one a brilliant blue-ish purple, and the last one solid lavender.   "Hey!!" I shouted at them, making them all stop in their tracks. "Come here now!!" I said before turning to Carlos. "Go get some blankets from the cars." He complied and ran back to the cars, leaving me to deal with the ladies, who were looking behind them at me, but not moving.   "I said come here! This is the police!" I yelled, causing them to look at each other and say something, before turning and walking carefully towards me. Any normal person would've caught themselves staring immensely at their privates, but I've had my fare share of 10-15's, so it wasn't anything new. Once they came to me, Carlos returned with the blankets and handed them to the girls.   "Here, put these on." He said flatly. The girls each took one and fumbled with them for a moment before wrapping themselves in them. The one with the rainbow hair didn't seem to keen on it, but she did it anyway.   "W-who are you?" The one with the lavender hair asked.   "My name is Rick, and this is my partner Carlos." I replied, crossing my arms. "Can you girls tell what your names are so I can address you properly?" I asked.   "Well," The lavender haired one said before pausing, an unsure look on her face. "That's Applejack, this is Rainbow Dash, this is Rarity, this is Fluttershy, this is Pinkie Pie, and I'm Twilight Sparkle." She said pointing to each one individually. //-------------------------------------------------------// >10-26< //-------------------------------------------------------// 10-26< 10-26< As a police officer you can expect a lot to happen just about anywhere, especially in Redview County. There can be anything from a rampaging dumbtruck, (long story short, someone decided to go on a joy ride in you-know-what) to a highjacked car carrier semi truck, (you can guess why) even to a police firefight (this happened only twice since I was transferred from ol' Seacrest County, both were results of failed criminal getaways). Going back to a misused 911 dial, to protesters in the street, aaaand then streakers. Don't get me wrong, I've seen streakers before, probably more than a cop really needs to see, but almost right off the bat I could tell something was off about these six girls. They didn't have the weird happy look that actual streakers have when running around, they had more a look of curiosity and fear. "Are those gang names or something?" I asked, unaware of the fact I was looking at them like they were speaking another language.   "N-no, they're our real names." Replied Twilight Sparkle. I paused as I ran my hand through my hair before turning to Carlos.   "Go look up the names in the system, see if these six are for real." I said flatly. He responded with nod and quietly walked off to his Hennessy, leaving me with the girls who I turned to face. I would've asked them to step into our cars but since we were both driving only two-seaters, it'd be a little hard fitting all six of them.   "So what were you six doing, running around naked on the street?" Asked with a sigh as I folded my arms.   "Well..." Twilight Sparkle started. "the six of us were getting ready to test a spell on the Elements of Harmony when--" she faltered at I waved her off.   "Hang on, hang on, hang on. Spells? Elements or Harmony? Let me ask you something, how much have you girls had to drink?" I said.   "We haven't been drinking anything! And I think you oughta' show Twilight some respect and let her finish!" Rainbow Dash snapped. I didn't necessarily sigh, but I took a deep breath as I put out my hand in a "please continue" and gave a single nod.   "So we were about to test a spell on the Elements of Harmony when something went seriously wrong..." Twilight continued.   "And everything went boom! And then there was noting and then we were here almost like magic it was so weird." The one called Pinkie Pie ranted almost to fast for me to wrap my head around. I was about to go on about why I should believe them and what not when Carlos hollered to me.   "Rick, you gotta see this!" I quickly turned and jogged over to the Hennessy with the girls behind me. When I got to the car Carlos gave me a look of curiosity and concern.   "What is it?" I asked, leaning into the passenger side of the car.   "So I looked up each of these girls and got a few related names, but they don't look anything like these ones." The wingman replied, pointing at our newcomers.   "Try searching everyone, record or not." I ordered.   "I did." Carlos said. "It's like they don't even exist." I stood up and looked down the road before running my hand through my hair.   "Seeker units, report. You're silent." Dispatch suddenly called over the car's built in radio.   "Seeker 1-2 here, we're just dealing with this 10-15. Nothing to worry about." Carlos replied quickly.   "These girls have no history? That's impossible though! I've never dealt with this kind of thing before, what will happen to them if we take them back to the station?" I thought briefly before turning back to them. I was about to speak when I saw the baffled looks on all of their faces.   "That thing can talk?" Asked the one... Rarity was her name. I shook my head in response.   "This thing uses a radio that links me and Carlos directly to our dispatcher, so we can communicate over long distances." I replied simply, but before any of them could talk I continued. "Now, you have fifteen seconds to explain to me why you technically don't exist." I said. To be honest, I was getting a little annoyed by now so I wanted to speed things up. After I said that I quickly turned to Carlos.   "Go back to the post and get the SUV. Meet me back here ASAP." I said, pointing down the road.   "Roger." He replied before pulling down the road and speeding up quickly. Turning back to the girls I saw they were all looking in the direction of Carlos with awe. The girl with the smooth pink hair was receding behind Rarity.   "Hey!" I said, snapping them out of their trans to remind them of what I had asked. They seemed a little clueless on how to respond until Twilight Sparkle stepped forward, her face lit up.   "Let me try something." She said as she closed her eyes and looked slightly downward.   "What are you doing?" Asked me and the one I recalled being Applejack said at the same time before glancing at her.   "Just give me a second... This may hurt a little." Twilight continued after a moments hesitation.   "Now hang on just--" I started, but what happened next was something I would remember my whole life. My vision was obstructed by a bright flash and then... what looked like brain neurons started flying by me. I couldn't look around, I couldn't feel my body, it was like I was just a weightless pair of eyes flying through the network of a brain. Them almost as if my mind was telling me, I could tell this was my brain I was flying through. I was amazed and frightened at the same time. I didn't know what was going on, but this... place was absolutely astounding. Then just as quickly as it started, it ended, and I found myself looking over a small village. It looked like just some small collection of buildings but something was very off. There weren't people walking the streets, but instead brightly colored creatures that resembled an equine.   "This is our native region, Equestria." A ghostly feminine voice spoke, seeming to come from every direction at once. "We are lost and confused now. We only wish to return home. We are not like your kind. Please, help us." Instantly afterwards, I felt myself zooming back through the depths of my own brain before another bright flash obscured my vision. I opened my eyes to see I was kneeling on the ground trembling like a leaf. My breaths were short gasps and I had trouble focusing on anything for a few seconds. Then the whiplash hit me as my head felt ready to split in half. I groaned as I put a hand to my right temple and slowly stood up. I glanced over to see five of the girls helping up Twilight, who was also rubbing her head. Unfortunately, their blankets had fallen from their bodies when the went to help her so they were all pretty much naked again. I didn't mind as I locked eyes with twilight, who looked at me hopefully as she stood up. After I regained my bearings I nodded slowly.   "Okay... Okay, I believe you." I said, making all of them smile at me weakly. "But you six cannot tell any other people like me about this other than my partner. You'll be hauled away before you even realize it." They all nodded in understanding.   "So you'll help us?" Asked the only girl who hadn't spoken yet. Crap, I forgot her name, the one who had recoiled as Carlos pulled away. I hesitated for a moment before nodding.   "Yes, I will. Carlos should be back within a minute or so and we'll take you back to our command post." I said, looking back at the street. "What was your name again?" I asked, glancing at the girl. She recoiled a tiny bit before replying quietly.   "Fluttershy." The next half minute or so went in silence (yes, I told them to put on their blankets again...) before I could hear the distinctive sound of a V8 engine around the nearest turn, and a black Ford Excursion rolled up and stopped next to my Koenigsegg. I was already leading the girls down to the truck as Carlos rolled down the passenger window and looked at me.   "We good to go?" He asked.   "Yep, we're taking them back to the post though." I replied as I opened the back right door for the girls, who reluctantly (especially Fluttershy, who had to be pulled in by Rainbow Dash) filed into the extra seats.   "What? Why?" He inquired with a cocked eyebrow.   "I'll explain everything once we get there, just please don't ask now." I said firmly. Carlos replied with a quick nod before I closed the door and he rolled up the window. I watched as the large truck rolled down the street for a minute before slowly walking towards my anti-racer car. Opening the exotic door I seated myself and started the car, but I didn't go anywhere. Instead I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that me and Carlos were now harboring aliens. Extra emphasis on "trying". I shook my head and put my hands on the steering wheel and rolled away, slowly gaining speed until I was cruising at around seventy miles per hour.   "Seeker 1-2 here, 10-22 on that situation, Dispatch. Returning to duties." Carlos said over the radio. I slowed down to about fourty when I caught up with Carlos and rolled calmly behind him. I was so stressed by that time I noticed my hands were shaking slightly so I decided some music was in order to calm me down. Opening up the music playlist on the car's touch screen console I scanned through them until I found one song I loved. Tapping it I leaned back in my seat as Joker and the Thief (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Je84VupqD58) started playing through the high-quality speakers all around the car. The rest of the drive was quiet until we reached the command post where I opened the car trailer and backed into it in front of Carlos's Hennessey Venom GT. I hopped off the ramp as I was closing and walked over to the truck, which was parked in the small driveway, to help with getting the girls inside.   "T-that thing was s-scary..." Commented Fluttershy, who was visibly shaking as Applejack wrapped an arm around her.   "It's okay, Shy. It ain't gonna hurt you." Applejack said softly. I didn't pay much heed to them though as I walked up to Carlos.   "Alright, we're here. Now what the hell are we going to do with these people?" He demanded.   "I'll tell you inside, I promise you'll understand. I'm gonna have them stay in my trailer until we can sort everything out." I informed him quietly.   "What do you mean, Rick!?" He said at a near shout.   "Just hang on!" I said at the same volume as I walked back to the girls, who were standing on the opposite side of the driveway from the truck. Walking back to them I shook my head to myself and sighed.   "Okay, here's what gonna happen. You six are gonna stay in my trailer under my supervision until we can get this whole thing figured out."I said, pointing to one of the two RCPD mobile-homes. "I'll provide food and clothing as necessary, so don't worry about that." After my briefing I led them to the trailer and opened up the heavy door and folded down the step. One-by-one they filed into the small home.   "Make yourselves comfortable but don't touch anything yet. I'll be right back." I said before shutting the door and locking it. Between finding and harboring six lost human aliens, and now having to tell Carlos what my ridiculous plan of action was and convincing him to go along with it, I could tell this was going to be a long day...
