Twilight Sparkle: 500 LP) On Twilight's field was Quickdraw Synchron and Call of the Haunted which brought it back. She had four cards in her hoof. On Rainbow's field she had a TG Hyper Librarian and two set cards on the field. She had two cards in her hoof. "My turn," said Twilight. "Draw. I summon Baby Dragon." A yellow dragon landed in front of Twilight, it then diid a roar which didn't scare her opponent. (ATK: 1200. LV. 3) "Ha," Rainbow said not surprised. "You think that little guy can damage me? My TG has more attack than that little guy." "Uh, sugarcube," Applejack said. "She has a tuner on the field you know." "Uh-oh." Rainbow was shocked about what was going to happen next. "Thats right. I tune my Level 5 Quickdraw Synchron with my Level 3 Baby Dragon to Synchro Summon. Chevalier De Fleur." Flower pedals flew everywhere as a flower bloomed on the back of the warriors head. She then pulled her sword out of her shield and readied herself for battle. (ATK: 2700. LV. 8) "Way to go, Twilight," Pinkie Pie said as she bounced happily. "Thanks to my Quickdraw Synchrons ability, it can be substituted for any "Synchron" tuner monster." "Not so fast. I activate Bottomless Trap Hole. Your Synchro monster is now removed from play." "Effect activate. Once per turn, I can negate a spell or trap card. So your Bottomless Trap Hole has no effect." "Darn it." "Next I activate Goblin Thief. You take 500 Life Points as I gain 500 Life Points." (Twilight Sparkle: LP 500 -> 1000. Rainbow Dash: LP 1000 -> 500.) "Next I activate my spell card Monster Reborn to bring back Baby Dragon." (ATK: 1200. LV. 3) "Chevalier De Fleur, attack her TG Hyper Librarian." The warrior then charged at Rainbow's TG Hyper Librarian and sliced him in half." "Gah!" (Rainbow Dash: LP 500 -> 300) "Now Baby Dragon, finish this duel and attack her directly." "Gah!" Rainbow said as she fell from Baby Dragon's strike. (Rainbow Dash: LP 300 -> 0) "Way to go, Twilight," Rarity said. "That was a good game, Twilight," Rainbow said as she got back up on her hooves. "That Synchro monster was so AWESOME!" "I know, right," Twilight said. "I just got this card yesterday." Their conversation ended when Spike came running to the group carrying a scroll in his hand. He stopped to the group to take a breath. "Letter...from...the...princess," he said as was catching his breath from running. Twilight levitated the scroll and unrolled it. "Princess Celestia cordially invites you to a tournament that is going to be held at the Crystal Empire." Everyone was surprised of what Twilight read on the invitation. "A tournament at the Crystal Empire?" Rarity asked excitedly. "Yeah," Fluttershy said. "And I think that it is the first time we had one." The crystal ponies have been sweeping the streets to make the kingdom shiny and clean for the upcoming tournament. Other ponies that are not crystal focused on polishing the symbol of the crystal kingdom: the Crystal Heart. Up at the balcony of the castle, a red unicorn stallion with a blonde mane and tail and a triforce as a cutie mark, was watching the ponies making preparations for the upcoming event.  He moved to the other side of the railing to get a view what is going on that side. "Charming Thunder," a voice from behind him said. She was a goldish gray earth pony with dark grey mane and tail with a purple treble clef as a cutie mark. "Oh. Hi, Octavia," Charming Thunder said. "What brings you here, old friend?" "I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out at the cafe today?" "Sure. I just need to let my sister Cadence know and we'll be on our way." He then exited the balcony and went to find Cadence and let her know where he is going to be. He then saw her with a checking things off of the checklist. "Hey, Cadence. I'm going to be with Octavia right now." "Okay," Cadence replied. "Just be sure to be back by the time the tournament participants are announced." Charming Thunder and Octavia then left the castle to hang out at the cafe. The cafe was so crowded due to the upcoming event. Octavia and Charming Thunder were at a table in a shade laughing due to a joke Octavia told to Charming Thunder. He then noticed nine figures entering the cafe. Nine of them were ponies and one was a baby dragon with purple scales. "Hey, Octy," he said as he pointed to the group. "Do you recognize any of these nine?" Octavia then took a good look at the group and said, "Yeah I remember them. Six of them were at the Grand Galloping Gala. And that little dragon is the one who saved the Crystal Empire." "Interesting." Twilight and her friends were trying to find a place to sit 'til Rarity noticed a familiar face in the cafe. "Twilight," Rarity said. "Is that Octavia over there?" "It looks like it," Twilight replied. "And...who...is...that stallion." "I don't know," Fluttershy said. "Should we go talk to them? That is if its alright with you." They all nodded in agreement and started to walk over to the table where the two ponies are. "It looks like they noticed us here," Charming Thunder told Octavia. "Quick act natural." They then faced each other as they were about to finish up an conversation. As the conversation ended, the group that was heading their have finally arrived. "Hi there," the little yellow filly with the red bow on her red mane said. "Oh," Octavia said. "Hello. Who might you nine be. I know that I recognize you six." "I'm Applebloom. These are my friends Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Spike, and my sister Applejack." "It is a pleasure to meet you all," Charming Thunder said. "My name is Charming Thunder." He then turned to the dragon and said, "Aren't you the one who saved the Crystal Empire?" "Yes I am," Spike said. "Why?" "Lets just say that my sister has told me a lot about you and Twilight Sparkle." "So you have heard of me?" Twilight asked. "Of course. How could I not forget the time that you were the one who redeemed my aunt, Luna when she returned as Nightmare Moon." "Aunt?" Twilight was then puzzled by what Charming Thunder said. "Yes," Octavia replied. So is Princess Celestia." "And my sister is none other than Princess Cadence herself." "Sister?!" Twilight gasped. "Oh my gosh! I can't believe I am meeting my brother-in-law. Speaking of brother, how is my BBBFF?" "He's well. I bet that he is dying to---" He was interrupted when the sound of trumpets being played. "Looks like its time to announce the participants of the tournament. Shall we be off Octavia?" "Oh yes," Octavia said as they started to trot off to were the Crystal ponies and other ponies were heading until Rarity wanted to ask Charming Thunder one more question. "Wait, how are you and Octavia related?" Charming Thunder turned to face her and the group and replied, "We were old friends since we were fillies." They then continued to walk to the front of the Crystal Castle hoping to wonder what the participants for the tournament are going to be. To be continued...
