"Ah, Saturday. My favorite of all days.", I sighed. I grabbed my bike and scram at mom, " MA! I'M GOING TO THE PARK ON MAPLE!"
"OKAY! DON'T FORGET YOUR SWEATER!", she scram back.
I was already off and going. I was prepared anyways. My blonde hair flew in the air, loose and messy as can be. My gray sweater had very long sleeves but it didn't bother me. Nothing would except a call from mom about the chores. The crunch of Autumn stained leaves and twigs were heard under the fast, swift wheels of my bike. I was nearing on Maple park, a small but beautiful place of scenery. I was on Iris avenue, not too far from Maple. But this is the street my "brony" or "pegasister" friends lived. They were nice, kind friends but sometimes over talked about MLP or whatever they called it. No one was anywhere to be found on the street. "Good. Now, I just need to make a left..."
"Hiya Eclipse!", scram a mildly energetic voice behind me.
I jumped at the sudden appearance of her. "Hi... Winter."
" Whatcha doin' on my street? Came to hang out at my place? Or even better, watch My Little Pony?"
"Uh, no. I just came for a smooth bike ride."
"Oh. Okay. Why not hang out another day?", asked Winter.
"Yeah. Why not um... Friday?" "Yeah I guess.
See you then.", sighed Winter. Winter walked away, feeling disappointed.
Great. Now I feel terrible. So much for smooth. Not wanting to waste time or hurt anyone's feelings, I turned left and cycled on to Maple. The ride was refreshing, but my mind replayed my friends disappointment. It made my cycling journey feel lonely. And to make matters worse, the sun was setting. I love sunsets and nighttime, but that meant cycling time is over. I bit my lip and decided to move on. Then the sound of gravel crunching was heard. It was the gravel crunch of Maple park trail. I smiled and glanced at the beautiful park. It was clean, and not visited much. Only the occasional couple walked by or an elderly person feeding the pigeons. The street lights slowly turned on, and the park was mostly silent. I stopped gawking at the park’s beautiful scenery and focused on my main goal “ Time to break the record.” I hopped back on my bike and began to push on the pedals. The gravel churned around and around, and my bike soared off on the trail as fast as can be. My hair once again flapped around in the stinging wind, and the determined smile on my face grew wider and wider. Even though the trail was meant for jogging, I used it for cycling. The bike sped up by the minute and according to my results, it was getting closer to the record. I was on my fifth lap, only seconds away from the record and saw a teenage boy walking on the track not noticing my speeding bike, probably looking at the scenery.
“WATCH OUT!”, I scram , providing a moving motion with a hand. Nothing. Did I see ear buds? Yup, I did. “For the love of-” BAM! I put a hand to my head trying to clear the dizziness of the impact.
“Whoa. That was close. You okay there?”, the boy asked.
“Yeah. Just got a couple bruises and scratches, but I’ll be fine.”, I replied. Wait. ‘That was close’? Oh. I looked to my left and saw my bike crashed into a tree nearby. Must have skidded off course before I was about to crash into the boy. I looked up and realized he had offered a hand to me.
“Gonna leave me hanging?”, he asked. I blushed and held on the hand as he pulled me up. He was tall, wore jeans, a blue shirt, and a navy sweater. And his hair was a soft looking black. Hard to find in some boys.
“Thanks. And I’m sorry I almost made you road kill.”
“No. It’s okay. It was my fault I didn't move out of the way and besides, you kinda crashed more into the tree than me. My name is Blazing Thunder. What’s yours?”, he said. A warm inviting smile was spread onto his face, and I’m pretty sure I blushed even more.
“Moonlight. Moonlight Eclipse.”
“Nice to meet you.”, he replied. We neared into each other feeling the magic, until my phone rang. “Uh, your phone is ringing.” I bit my lip as I fumbled through my pockets, and hoped it wasn't mom. I found it and it was my mom. I answered and put it close to my ear, knowing she’ll scream at me for being late.
“ Moonlight Eclipse! You are in big trouble when you get home Missy! You forgot to come by seven pm! Again! And your punishment is… uh… organizing the attic!” I hung up because that’s all I needed to hear.
“Well, I have to go. Bye Thunder.” I picked up my broken bike and lugged it beside me all the way home.
“Wait! I was going to ask… never mind she’s too far away.”

“MOM! I’M HOME!”, I scram as I shut the door behind me.
“Moon, dear can you please get started on the attic after dinner?”
“Okay mom.” Dad came in with a frown on this face.
“Moon. Did you break another bike?”
“Yes dad. I’m sorry. I swear I was so close to the record!”, I replied.
“It’s okay. But if you break one more bike you wont have another PERIOD.”, he said firmly.
“Yes dad.”
“Now. What’s for dinner. “
“Spaghetti. Without meatballs. And some apple juice.”, sang mom from the kitchen. Me and dad smiled as mom set our dinner on the table and immediately dug in. I took somewhat elegant twirls of spaghetti. And medium sips of the juice. Dad ate plain messy but somehow slowly, and mom VERY elegant but slow. I stood up from the tabled after being excused and placed my dishes in the sink. I walked to the closet and grabbed a step-up ladder. I lugged it to the hallway and placed it below the attic door.I took each step on the ladder cautiously, not wanting to fall or get stuck. “Okay. You made it up the ladder without fail. Now for the hard part. Organizing.”, I muttered to myself. I moved carefully across the support beams and way in the back, I found a box labeled: Treasures. Out of curiosity, I bent over and looked through only to find jewelry and trinkets. Not exactly treasures but they were old. Really old. Except one in particular. It was small and golden, with only a red silk ribbon. The hape was unique, it looked like that butt tattoo from that one pony, Twilight Sparkles or something like that. I knew it was wrong to take it, but it was irresistible.

“Whew. Who knew it was so hard to organize the attic?”, I thought. I had decided to go outside again, but only in my backyard. Still spacey, but not the same. I sighed and threw myself on the grass, and looked at the beautiful stars and moon. A jab of pain came from my right leg. “Darn bugs! Always biting me.”, I muttered. But it was in my pocket. I caught hold of something cold and pointy, possibly a slug? Or a spider? I grabbed it and looked at it closely. It wasn't a bug but the trinket I took. “Hmm. That explains it.” I toyed with it and even slipped it on my neck. It was way too long for my neck, so I took it off. Then sleepiness began to take over...
