Pinkie Pie: High School Days

Chapter #1

The Pie sisters took a step out of the wagon to have their hooves greeted by the warm, wet grass. The sun shone on the school courtyard, making it easy to tell that it was an early September morning.

The Taxi pony nodded as he then took off with the taxi cart. Leaving the Pie sisters alone, standing in front of Westmane County Day. A large boarding school only a few towns away from the rock farm.

Limestone, Marble, and Pinkamena stared at the high school. It was fairly large and spacey. A tall statue of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna with both horns united stood in front of the school. The dorms stood a few blocks from the school, which only made Pinkamena think hard on the thought of having to do a lot of walking.

"What do you think Pinkanema?" Limestone asked.

"I think it looks cool," Pinkanema responded, "but I guess we should go over to the dormitory and grab a room before it's all full."

Pinkanema started trotting over to the dormitory a few blocks away, but froze silent when she heard the school speakers up ahead started to rumble, until a voice came out.

"Good morning Westmane County Day students, and welcome to a new school year! Make sure to head over to the dorms to grab a room if you haven't already. I'm looking forward to a great new school year so let's get started! The first school bell will ring in twenty minutes for your first period so please feel free to hang out in the courtyard until then. Once the bell rings you will head for the auditorium for your yearly orientation and then move on to your next class. Have a good day! Thank you."

Pinkanema looked around as the other students hung out in the courtyard. Frisbees were flying as other mares just talked or rolled in the grass, while colts threw footballs with cheerleaders swooning from admiration at the colts.

"Just as strange as father and mother promised us." Marbled said as she blowed at her bang covering her face.

"Let's just go get our dorms before orientation. We don't want to be left sleeping in the parking lot, would we?" Pinkamena cheered as she marched towards the dorm.

                                                          **********************************************

The dorm room was cozy, which made it seem like the perfect place to spend a long winter. Shame that it was still summer.

It had a fire place, a pool table, dart board, a few couches, and a flat screen tv.

The dormitory manager sat in the desk half asleep, listening to the sound of Brittany Mares breaking it down on live tv. Pinkanema, Limestone, and Marble got closer, as Marble tapped on the desk softly.

"GAH! Who's there?" he screamed.

"Hii... I'm Marble, this is Limestone, and Pinkanema. We were wondering if you could give us the key to our dorm room? We're new here."

"Of course! We have one last room on the top floor next to the bathroom and the dressing rooms. Here's your key. Do you girls want to share a room?"

"Yes, so we don't take up too much space or get lonely. heh."

"Yes, there are three beds in the last room. Perfect. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and go down the aisle, then take a left. Room 401!"

"Thank you so much sir!" Marble answered as she then grabbed the keys.

The girls headed toward the elevator when they stopped to see a group of giggling flower ponies walk into the dormitory as they grabbed their pair of keys at the desk, since the manager was holding their keys for them.

"Like, thanks!" a pink pony with orangish-yellow hair giggled as she and her friends started laughing again about something.

They caught sight of Pinkanema and her sisters as they strolled down the aisle to the elevator the Pies were in.

"Like, can we bunk into the elevator here with you?" one pony asked as she and her friends bumped their way through into the elevator, and tapped the button marked '4th floor', the same floor the Pies were staying in.

They just met their new neighbors.

The elevator door closed as the awkward silence crept apon them. That awkward silenced feeling when you don't really know anyone there, and you didn't WANT to.

The unusually long elevator ride was soon enough gone as the elevator bell chimed, and everypony packed out of the elevator door.

The flower ponies kept on laughing.

Only a glimpse of their conversation filled the Pies' minds...

"OMG! Could you believe that Flitter was right there in the boys locker room? Like, right there! Standing in front of the lockers, next to the urinals, KISSING Thunderline! With Cloudchaser right next to the two lovebirds also flirting with Thunder, giggling like heck!"

"I know right? Those two girls are just SOO dramatic."

"Tell me about it, and that's why those two little flirt queens would just cripple up at our totally epic sleepover this Saturday. And that's why we're NOT inviting them!"

"Every pony knows that without an invitation, they dare not try to come into our epic parties!"

The flower ponies giggled again. Which made Pinkanema sick to her stomach about their cheesy gossip laughs.

But one of the flower ponies just nervously chuckled, as she looked shyly back at the elevator. She was a tan pony with a red mane, maroon highlights, and the cutie mark of a rose, but she looked slightly miserable. As if she hung out with people she didn't want to hang out with. She then looked at Pinkanema and smiled a slight smile and waved her hoof.

Pinkanema waved back.

"Pinkanema! Come on! I found our room! It's right over here!" Limestone shouted.

Pinkanema ran toward her sisters, now that the flower ponies had already left for their room.

"Unfortunately, our dorm is next to those annoying giggle girls. I guess we could manage trying not to listen to the stupidity of mumbling idiots."

"Oh well, might as well get to know our new neighbors and classmates already. Come on, Limestone! Open the door!"

"Ok..."

Limestone stuck the key into the door lock, and pressed her hoof gently onto the door. The door swung open, as the tiny room showed itself.

It was small, and really obvious that it was the least best room in the dormitory, because it was slightly dirty, and had the smell as if it were once a janitor's closet. But besides that, it looked like the managers tried to hide the fact that the dorm room that the Pies were staying in was once belonging to a lifetime supply of toilet paper and bleach, by decorating the room with soft blue curtains, a small tv, and three beds crammed together, a bunk bed, and a normal twin sized bed. Pushed together, to make room for the light blue rug, a small desk with room for a lap top, and a small bookshelf.

It resembled a cabin, with a mix of a college dorm, and a hotel, crammed into one room.

There was also a tiny wardrobe, but no bathroom, because there was already one down the hall, along with a dressing room.

The Pie sisters walked in.

"I call this one!" Marble screamed as she climbed the bunk's ladder and jumped onto the top bed.

"I'll get this one." Limestone called.

And now Pinkamena was left with the single bed next to the bunk bed.

"I guess I'll get this one..."

"Ooh! Let's watch some TV! I want to see if Family Pony is on! They were having a special episode today with Stewy!"

"Calm down, Marble. Orientation's in about five minutes now, remember?"

"Oh, right."

"Limestone's right, Marble." Pinkanema agreed, "We should start heading for the auditorium. The bell will ring anytime soon."

"Lets just set down our suitcases real quick before we leave," Marble suggested as she climbed down the bunk ladder.

A few minutes later, the ponies were already locking their door room, as they walked down the lonely dorm hall. Everypony left and was outside already for grade orientation.

The first bell rang.

"Crap! The first bell! We can't make it to the auditorium from the dorm in five minutes!" Marble panicked.

"Yeah, the principle said attending the orientation was a major grade for our first semester." Limestone added.

"We have plenty of time! If we just sprint over to the school. Plus, they won't mind if we're a little late." Pinkanema said.

The sisters started running through the dorm, and out the door, to make it back to the school a few blocks down. As the soft grass ran past their hooves, the sisters saw all their classmates walk through the school doors, with a tall earth pony greeting them.

I think that's our new principal, Pinkanema thought as she and her sisters got closer and closer to the tall school building.

The finally made it, just in time as the second bell rang. They walked through the doors, with the principal following close behind.

Inside, as they walked through the halls toward what they guessed was the auditorium, they could hear the sound of a professor greeting the students.

The principal opened the door for the Pie sisters as they thanked her, and made their way in.

Luckily, no one drew any attention to them, the last thing they wanted. They bumped their way through as upset ponies finally found them a seat for them to sit in. The three sisters sat in the last three chairs on the top row.

"Good morning my new students! Welcome to Westmane County Day! I assure you ponies that you will have a great time here! This is after all, the best boarding school in the area, so I expect you all to do your best.  Now, in case any of you good students don't know your way around the school, freshmen, the 9th grade hallway is to the right, sophomores, the 10th grade hallway is to the left, and then juniors and seniors, the 11th and 12th grade hallway is straight ahead." the proffesor announced.

11th and 12th grade hallway straight ahead, Pinkanema tried to memorize.

"I do hope my students will aspire a succesful high school year, and have a wonderful life." the proffesor accentuated, "Goodbye for now my students! And if you have any questions, you may go straight ahead and first door, to your right, to the front office! Have a good day!" the proffeser accentuated.

The lights in the auditorium brightened, as mobs of ponies fled out the auditorium doors, in a hurry to their first class.

Pinkanema sighed as she waited for Marble and Limestone to come out.

"That proffeser emphasizes too much. He should be a librarian for elementary, his expression would surely get him the job. Imagine him reading 'Humpty Dumpty' or 'The Littlest Engine' to a bunch of shrieking 5 year old brats!" Marble giggled.

"So, what's your first class, Limestone?" Pinkanema asked.

"Oh, Chemistry Science."

"Me too! How about you, Marble?"

"Oh. I have History." Marble sighed.

"Oh, that's too bad. I always hated History. I was glad to know that since we were too busy on the rock farm to be home schooled all these years, I wouldn't have to learn anything about History." Limestone sighed back.

"We're considered brutes, though. Never went to school in our life. Just day school, but besides that. So we should try our best at actually passing a class." Pinkanema added.

"Well, I'll see you two later."

"Bye Marble!" the two other sisters shouted back as their third sister trotted away.

"Come on, let's get going." Limestone said as she started to trot away also. Pinkanema following closely behind.

                                      ********************************************************

The school bell rang, resembling the tardy bell for first period, as the fumbling ponies stumbled upon eachother looking for a seat. Pinkanema and Limestone slowly walked in, and stuck like glue to eachother.

"Let's find a table with both seats empty, since we don't know anyone here, I think it's best for us to stick together." Limestone suggested.

"Yeah, I can't imagine having a lab partner that I don't even know," Pinkanema responded, "But then again it's always good to meet someone new! Oh look! There's an empty table!"

Pinkanema pointed her hoof to a lab table in the back, as she and Limestone quickly rushed for it. Limestone quickly sat down. As Pinkanema sat down, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around, only to find that another pony took her seat and smacked her on the head.

"How's that for beginer's luck, on a new school year, pinky?" The colt yelled at Pinkanema, as he then turned around to Limestone.

"You leave her alone! You idiot!"

"Oh? A tough gal, huh? Well, you're not her mom! Stop babying her buttface!"

"I'm not her mom, but I could be yours! And I swear, when you get home I will give you the beating of a lifetime!"

"&%$*#@$%^$%&! Pahetic mares! You stupid little girls think you're so tough, huh? Well guess what? If this weren't a classroom at a school, your head would be up your buttcrack right now."

"Oh, and you think a female can't put up a fight? You're too wimpy to start a fight at a school, so why don't I just start one for you?"

Limestone lifted her hoof in the colt's face, as the teacher walked in the classroom. She quickly sat back down, and so did the colt, but in Pinkanema's seat. Now Pinkanema was left on the floor, with classmates staring and snickering at her.

The teacher was a dark earth pony colt, in a lab coat, and a shaggy brown mane.

"Good morning class, I'm Essai A. Test Tube. But you can call me Mr. T Tube or Essai. Now, let's go over some procedures and instructions when in the chemistry lab, now-"

Mr.T Tube saw Pinkanema on the floor.

"What's going on here?"

Pinkanema got up off the floor, "I... uh... don't have a seat!"

"Don't have a seat? Well, that's easy to fix! Ummm, oh! Look over there! There's one last seat next to my neice, Roseluck, will you let this student be your lab partner and sit next to you?"

"Yes, sir."

"Ok, well! There's a problem fixed! Go ahead and sit next to the pony over there."

Mr. T Tube pointed to Roseluck and the empty chair next to her.

Pinkanema felt bad for Limestone. Now she had to sit next to the stupid jock colt that bothered them, and be his lab partner for at least the whole semester.

"All right now, before we get onto procedures in the chemistry lab, I must get to know each of you better. When I point to you, please tell me your first name and last name, so I may right it down next to your picture in my list. Ummmm.... you! What's your name?"

The chemistry teacher pointed at an light sea green unicorn with a mane the same color, but with white highlights. She had a harp for her cutie mark.

"Lyra. Lyra Heartstrings."

"Heartstrings." The teacher repeated as he wrote the name down. "You!"

The teacher pointed to the earth pony next to Lyra, who was a light yellow, with a dark, navy blue mane, with pink highlights. She had three pieces of candy for a cutie mark.

"Sweetie Drops" Lyra announced for her.

"I'm sorry, but did I ask you Miss Heartstrings?" The teacher suspiciously asked.

The earth pony quickly shoved her hoof in the unicorn's mouth to shut her up.

"It's Bon Bon." The earth pony quickly corrected.

"Bon... Bon." The teacher repeated as he once again wrote down the name.

Pinkanema thought for a moment. She recognized that name. Sweetie. Drops. She was a pony who was fond of candy and often visited the rock farm with her mother to deliver some of their homemade sweets monthly. Gummy Drops and Sweetie Drops. Once or twice Sweetie waved at Pinkanema back at the rock farm, but Pinkanema knew that Sweetie Drops WAS her name.

A nickname... Pinkanema thought. I never liked my name, and I need something that matches my cutie mark, my personality, and for sure I don't want anyone like that ignorant colt over there making fun of me because of my name.

"You!" The teacher shouted as he pointed at Pinkanema. "What's your name?"

"My name?" Pinkanema asked.

Pinkanema thought hard as the teacher and her classmates stared at her.

'How's that for beginer's luck, on a new school year, pinky?' 'It's Bon Bon.' 'Pahetic mares.' 'Pinky!!' The thoughts raced around Pinkanema's worn out mind.

"Well? We haven't got all day!"

How's that for beginer's luck, pinky!

"It's Pinkie! Pinkie Pie!" Pinkanema finally said cooly.

Pinkanema turned to see Limestone staring at her. But Pinkanema wasn't sure why she was staring, if it was because she just changed her name or if it was because of how she changed from that shy, bullied mess on the floor to a cool girl with swag for a moment.

"Pinkie... Pie."

The name ran through Pinkanema's mind.

I am Pinkie Diane Pie.

Pinkie Pie.
