The Future Past

Chapter 2: Dark Rainboom

-Some hours ago from the previous events-

'And there goes Soarin, flying past Wildflame

and taking the lead' A grey pegasus with a

mike called out. 'Wait, what's that?

One of the Wonderbolts seem to be

aiming for the first place, passing by

every competitor. It seems....It seems

to be none other than Spitfire!!'

'Woooohhooooo, Spitfire!!!

Kick their tails!!!' An excited Rainbow Dash

shouted. 'Oh man, Fluttershy doesn't know what

she's missing here at Cloudsdale Stadium. This

is by far the most awesome Wonderbolt race I've

ever been to' Rainbow said while performing

a salto in the air.

'Spitfire and Soarin are neck to neck racing

to the finish line. Who will win?' The grey pegasus

yelled. 'Come on, Spitfire!! Show what you're made

of!!' Rainbow yelled her lungs out.

While the race continued, a black ball came charging

for the stadium at high speed. It soon broke the sound

barrier and performed a sonic boom creating a

shockwave of shadow. Everpony in the stadium

began screaming and pointing in the sky while

the race still continued and the competitors didn't

notice the black figure heading towards them.

'Whoaa, watch out!!!' Rainbow dash yelled and began

flying after the figure. But it was already to late to

save the race. As soon the figure reached the stadium,

it hit Spitfire dead on. Spitfire lost consciousness and

began falling towards the surface. But then the figure

came back from where it stopped it's destructive trail

and nabbed Spitfire away in a blink.

Rainbow Dash, who witnessed all that, began dashing

towards the figure holding the K.O.'d Spifire.

When Rainbow finally reached the figure and was about

to kick it in the guts, the figure teleported behind Rainbow

and kicked her in the back. The figure then began making

her escape by flying into the woods below when Rainbow

was recovering from the kick she received.

When Rainbow was fully recovered she began chasing

after the escaping figure, who seems to be able to

fly and use magic. It was without doubt an Alicorn,

but who was it? The chase then ended quickly when

Rainbow got the figure cornered in the dense forest.

'Hah!! Nowhere to go I see. Now give back Spitfire,

you scum!!' Rainbow Dash yelled out.

In response, the figure only laughed and said

'Well, well, if it isn't my old friend. yes, you have me now.'

'Old friend? what are you talking about?' Rainbow

said with a confused expression.

'But. I'm not giving up without a fight, Dashy. hahaha!'

The figure mocked.

'Grrr' Rainbow then dashed to the figure roundhouse

kicking it in the face.

'Owch, that almost hurt. Now it's my TURN!!!' The figure

then was enveloped by floating fireballs. The second

the fireballs appeared, they flew right into Rainbow.

Leaving her paralyzed on the ground.

'Fufufuf!! Now that you are helpless, let me show

you your greatest nightmare' The figure called out

and lifted Spifire up in the air with her magic.

'Noooo!!' Rainbow shouted out as she saw Spitfire being

envelopped by some dark magic. The next second,

Spitfire was transformed into a painting.

'Mhuahahah! She looks so peaceful. Ah,

one of my best works, dare I say.'

The figure applauded her work as Rainbow

Dash stared in disbelief and shock.

'Now, I'll be off. My mission in collecting

the Seven Sages is far from over. Hmm, maybe

I'll pay a visit to that apple farm near the village.'

The figure said while flying up in the sky.

'Until next time, Rainbow Crash!! Mhuahaha!'

The figure mocked and then flew away in the distance.

'Dang.....it!!' Rainbow cursed and then lost consciousness.

'So the second sage is already captured.' A pony holding a

scepter said. 'Come on, Twilight.' The figure spoke and

then turned back to the pond displaying Twilight and the figure's

location and process.
