"I don't suppose it would be a good idea to ask for a goodnight kiss right now." Celestia said with a soft smile on her face as she lay in the hospital bed next to a sobbing pink maned filly sitting in a chair beside her trying her best not to break down and cry over her sick lover. The princess was currently in severe pain due to an unknown disease that her many private doctors had claimed was non fatal, which calmed Fluttershy down slightly, but it didn't change the fact that she was still very sick.
"Is there anything I can do for you?" Fluttershy asked, obviously forgetting her lover's earlier request for a goodnight kiss. This caused Celestia to smile slightly as she turned her head to face Fluttershy, who still seemed to be worried about her lover. They both knew that Celestia wouldn't die, being an immortal she couldn't, but it still worried Fluttershy that Celestia was as sick as she was.
"You could get me some rosemary tea." Celestia said with a slight smile on her face at the inside joke shared between them that did not go unnoticed by Fluttershy as memories started to flood into her mind about their first 'date, which originally started out as an interview that Celestia had done with all of Twilight's friends about what they had learned from her about friendship and what they believed they had taught her about the same subject. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) Fluttershy had taken this opportunity to completely abandon the personality that came with her name and started to act a little more 'friendly' than was probably necessary in order to seduce the princess, who had been her secret crush for close to six months prior to the interview. This had the unfortunate side effect of Celestia assuming that Fluttershy had come down with some kind of sickness and she had made some Rosemary tea mixed with various herbs as well as her magic to try and cure her. Afterwards Fluttershy confessed her feelings towards the princess and was initially meant with passive rejection, meaning that although Celestia didn't reciprocate her feelings she agreed to give the filly a chance at winning her heart by allowing her the opportunity of courtship. After a few of these courtings, as Celestia referred to them, the princess found herself reciprocating the pink haired filly's feelings of love and the two became one of the most publicized couples in the land.
"I'll see what i can do." Fluttershy said quite nervously as she started walking towards the door which lead to Celestia's rather large kitchen to make the requested tea.
"Wait!" Celestia called, which caused Fluttershy to turn around to see her lover staring at her with a slightly seductive look on her face, which thanks to her current illness looked a little more hungry and desperate than normal.
"I still haven't gotten my goodnight kiss." The princess said with a smile on her face as her lips appeared to pucker slightly in a small display of impatience. Fluttershy chuckled softly at her marefriend's display before turning her back on her and trotting towards the kitchen, leaving a pouting princess lying in bed.
"The doctor said i'm not allowed to kiss you until you're well again." Fluttershy explained when she returned from the kitchen nearly five minutes later with the requested tea precariously perched on her back aong with a bowl of noodle soup directly from a can that Celestia's chef had left on the counter after the pink filly had told him, as well as Celestia's guards and Pinkie Pie, to leave her and the princess alone so that she could take care of her without any distractions. Celestia gave the filly a smile as her horn started to light up and the soup started hovering above the filly's back. Seeing this the pink filly reached her right hoof over her back and gave the bowl a light swat to ndo Celestia's magic and caused the bowl to land on the pink filly's back once again.
"You need to save your strength until you're well again, so you're not allowed to use any magic." Fluttershy explained as she reached her hooves to her back and picked up the bowl that Celestia desired. The princess gave a second pout as Fluttershy dipped a spoon into the soup and started moving it towards her mouth.
"Open wide" Fluttershy said with a smile on her face as the princess obeyed her command and allowed her to spoon fed her as if she were a child. After a few spoonfuls of soup the princess turned her head towards the pink filly and gave her a playful smile.
"Do you think i could have a goodnight kiss now?" Celestia asked again, earning her a playful glare from Fluttershy who gave a Rarity-esque overdramatic sigh.
"Well I suppose since you've earned one kiss." Fluttershy said with mock regret as she leaned in towards the eager princess Celestia who was currently puckering her lips in expectance of the kiss. As the distance between the two ponies started to disappear a playful glint appeared in the eyes of the pink-maned filly. She then quickly changed the trajectory of her lips and planted a kiss on Celestia's cheek instead of her lips as was initially intended. Upon feeling the warmth and moisture on her cheek Celestia gave a playful pout and a sigh.
"Well, I guess that will suffice." Celestia said, causing Fluttershy to giggle as the mare closed her eyes and fell asleep on her bed with a smile on her face. Fluttershy, with a similar smile on her face, leaned in and gave her now sleeping marefriend a light kiss on her lips before silently making her way out of the bedroom so as not to wake her sleeping goddess.
"Goodnight." Fluttershy whispered as she walked out of the room, making sure the door was closed to ensure her lover got the best sleep possible.
