Dr. Gambler and the Spear of Life
Chapter 4
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe moon's midnight glow washed over Paris. As it turns out Skyheart can pick locks, that's how we're in the museum. We walked over to the statue that we saw earlier and looked to where the hoof was pointing; it was pointing over to a display. The display was of a pony with it's heart being ripped from it's chest and held up to the ceiling. I searched the display, looking to see if I could find anything useful.
After a few minutes of searching I noticed that one part of the ground of the display sounded hollow. I knocked on the ground with my hoof and found that it did sound hollow. I readied the hammer that I had brought along with me and slammed it down on the ground, breaking up the foam, stone ground and the floorboards underneath it. Under the floor there was a small, old chest.
I noticed the shadows of two ponies behind me, I then whirled around, gun out. It was just Pastel and Skyheart, Oh, you two know not to surprise me, I could have shot one of you," I warned them. I turned away from them and opened the chest, there was a map inside. "It's a map of Cuba," I announced to them.
"Off to Cuba then," Pastel said.
