The Athletes

“Let’s sneak outa here.” Quick whispered to Rainbow.

“You sure that your buddy won’t mind us leaving?” She replied

“Nah I’m sure that he already knows that I want to hook up with you.” He said glancing over at Onyx as Pinkie pushed his birthday cake right into his face, Twilight was trying not to laugh as she was wiping the frosting off his face.

“You know I’m glad for him, he never had this many friends back in the day.” He smiled remembering their past.

“Yeah we do, but that’s another story let’s get outa here before anypony notices.” Quick responded with a nudge at her flank.

“Fine, where do you want to go?” Rainbow said looking at the front door.

“I really don’t know the area all too well.” He said with a blush since it was him who originally planned for them to leave.

“Oh, um well I know this bar that has some great cider, not as good as the one from Sweet Apple Acres but it’s decent.” She said with a shrug.

“I could go for a drink, anything’s better than this punch.” He said with a sour face after noticing that the punch had a slight reptilian whiff to it.

Rainbow then remembered that Pinkie Pie had a pet alligator and her eyes shrank and took the glass out of Quick’s hoof and laughed nervously and said “I wonder what that could have come from hehe.”

“What was that for?” He replied with a puzzled look

“You don’t want to know, let’s get out of here.” She said with a smile

Pinkie was bouncing around giving life to the party until she noticed the couple leaving, “You two have fun now!” She yelled out of the door, it’s a surprise that nopony heard her.

The two of them quickly made their way to the bar where the two will get to know about each other. Both of them entered the bar at a pretty high speed since about half way on the short trek to the tavern Rainbow offered a race to see who would pay the tab.

“I-I totally beat you Dash!” Quick said trying to catch his breath.

“No way! Rainbow said flying over to the barkeep, “Who got here first, me or him?”

“I don’t know I wasn't looking but, I do know that you’re the fastest one around here Dash, and when are you going to pay your last tab?” He said squinting his eyes at her.

She nervously laughed and went up to the barkeep to whisper in his ear “You know I’m one of your best customers here, plus I got a date so just say I win and I’m sure he’ll pay for it.”

The barkeep rolled his eyes and looked at Quick, “I can guarantee the Rainbow dash more than likely won that race being the fasted one around here, speaking of around here who are you? I know almost everypony in town and haven’t seen you before?”

Quick thought to himself before he replied ‘Does anypony do archery anymore?’

“I’m Quick Shot, Leader of the Equestrian Archers. Though most know me as Hot Shot since my signature move is the flaming arrow.” He replied boldly.

“A celebrity huh? Well any division of the military get a discount here” He said pointing up to a sign that says so. “You’re lucky Dash that your date is technically in the military” He whispered coldly into her ear.

“Well looks like a gentlecolt has to do what a gentlecolt has to do, barkeep two hard ciders please."

“Are you sure? Their pretty strong” The barkeep asked as he started to clean another glass

Quick looked at Rainbow Dash and remembered how he wanted the night to end,

“Yes, positive unless my mare here says different” He said with a smirk.
Rainbow blushed and looked away “I, um, whatever you want” She knew what he was trying to do but it didn't matter since she wanted the same.

“Alright whatever you guys want.” He put down the glass and brought out two wooden mugs from under the counter and brought them over to the fountain and poured the golden liquid from the tap. Quick Shot couldn't remember the last time he had cider or matter of fact hard cider. He spends most of his time in Canterlot doing sports events and the only alcoholic drink they offered was wine since they would never serve such a peasant drink. One thing that he and Onyx both agreed on was that the posh ponies need to learn how to give. He was brought back when the barkeep came with the drinks.

“Alright, thank you” Quick said grabbing the mug.

“No problem” The barkeep replied picking up another glass to clean.

Rainbow picked up the mug and chugged down half the mug in one go, though she could drink the entire mug in a swig she didn't want to get too drunk that fast. Quick peeked over the top of his mug and saw her gulp down half the mug and thought to himself ‘I’m going to have fun tonight, haha score!’ He took a sip and quickly went back for another, it had been one of the best tasting drink he has ever put in his mouth.

“I take it this is your first cider huh?” Rainbow said smiling at Quick remembering having to wait in line and hoping to get a taste of the sweet cider that the S.S.A makes.

“I can’t remember the last time I had cider but this is some good stuff.” He said as he took another drink.

“If you think this is good then you have to come back when the Sweet Apple Acres makes their annual batch. Every time I go I’m lucky if I even get a single drop.” She said gesturing in the air with her hooves.

“Oh I will!” He replied finishing the first mug, “Keep another two.”

“So tell me Quick, how many mares have you been with.” Rainbow asked fiddling with the brim of the mug.

“Um, relationships or physical?” He said looking up at the ceiling trying to remember.

“Both” She said taking another tone

“Hmm let me finish this” Quick said taking the last sip of the golden drink and taking a deep breath, he was going to need it.

“I… I have only been in a loving relationship once” He said with a hurt tone of voice.

This caused Rainbow to look up at him with some curiousness in her eyes.

“She was so perfect, sweet, cute, and brave but wasn't loyal to me… we had been dating for about a year and a half when I finally thought that was the perfect time to propose to her, I bought the wedding band and roses and when I came home she… she was with another stallion and they were…” he now stated to feel the effects of the alcohol on him when he started to tear up, “they were doing it on my bucking bed! “Fine, oh and I have an idea as to where we can go” Quick said as he got out a bag of bits and put it on the counter. “Hope that covers our tab plus whatever she owed you in the past!” He called out as he left.

The barkeep looked at the bag and was shocked to see how many bits were actually in the bag, “It’s more than enough, come back anytime you want!” He called out.

“So, where are we going to go?” She said nuzzling him.

“To that flat piece of land over that hill.” He said pointing a hoof and smiling.

“Haha, oh Quick I didn't take you as a joker.” .” She laughed as she fell to the ground.

Quick snickered and looked at Rainbow.

She looked up and stopped laughing when she saw the face that he had on. “You can’t be serious!” She exclaimed.

“Dose this face look like I’m lying?” He said with a huge smirk looking down at her.

“What if we get caught? I’m sure having sex in public isn't an easy crime to get away with.” She said getting up from the ground.

“Well that’s the risk we have to take and,” He whispered into her ear “I’m not the loudest pony when it comes to noises… but I don’t know about you” He said as he kissed her.

The two of them made their way over the hill giggling and joking about if they were caught and hinting at the activities that they were going to do in public.

As they flew over the town he could hear a voice yell out in lust Onyx.
