Meet The Engineer (A Battlefield 4 interview)

Grey walked into a repair bay facility, in search of his first marine to interview, the Engineer. He saw an office compartment and opened the door slowly and as quiet as possible. He saw a hell-lot-of dog tags hanging on a board, each embedded with the soldiers name, battalion and etc.

Grey saw a marine sitting on a chair with his hind legs on the desk, his ear muffs on the desk and his hat covering his face.

"Ahem.." Grey coughed to get the engineers attention. He's still sleeping. "Ahem.." Grey coughed, louder this time. "Oh great, now he's snoring."

The snoring became louder, Grey was annoyed and soon he did what would wake anybody up. Pour water onto his face? Nope. Tip his chair? Nope. Call upon an officer? Maybe..but no.

"Officer on deck." Grey shouted, he looked at the marine. He fell from the chair, quickly stood up, wore his hat and earmuffs, held his rifle and other gadgets which was inside the cabinet in less than 10 seconds. The marine looked to see no one except Grey in the room.

"10 seconds and you're prepped, good." Grey smiled.

"W-who are you?" The engineer asked, his weapon locked and loaded, but hadn't pointed it to Grey.

"The name's Grey, I've been sent here by the Defense comittee to interview you." Grey said. "..of your profession."

"Huh, alright, please take a seat." the marine offered which Grey accepted immediately. "Sorry bout' just now, there's not much time for me to get some sleep."

"I understand. Now, if you would be kind, please, introduce yourself." Grey said to the engineer.

"My pleasure. I'm Captain Lime GreenSharde' or as my squadmates call me, Sharde'. Others call me hunter, cause' of my abilities to eliminate air, ground and naval units, FAST." Lime introduced himself in front of his interviewer, Grey.

"Well, not naval units, that takes time, since, I don't like swimming, leave's me vulnerable to the enemy, you know?" Grey nodded in return and flipped through a booklet he held.

"What do you do as a mobile engineer?" Grey asked.

"Well, I shoot to kill any enemy I see, but most of the time, I'll stab them from behind and those are their dog tags." Lime said as he pointed the dog tags he acquired from all the battles he joined.

"You sure are a 'back stabber'." Grey smiled, Lime looked at Grey and smiled back.

"Other than that, I repair my allies vehicles when they need me, so long as they're nearby me, I'd repair them."

"So, what was you're best moments as an Engineer and when was that?" Grey asked, betting that there is NO "moments" in wars.

"My best moments in the battlefield? Well, glad that you asked. Okay, here's what happened a few months ago." Lime said arrogantly.

"My battallion was sent to a resort in China, from the fleet, it looked beautiful, especially in the dark.Where the lights from the resort where turned on and stuff." Lime said, getting off topic.

"Ermm...you're getting off topic here, Sharde'." Grey warned.

"Oh right, right." Lime said, as he blushed of his clumsiness to get off topic. "Anyway, I was at the beachhead of the US Deployment point, checking my weapon, an ACW-R, mounted with a 1.2x Holo sight, Angled grip, a compensator and a beautiful TTsKO navy blue camo pattern to top it off, along with my M9 mounted with a muzzle break with the same camo printed onto my ACW-R."

Grey took note of it and gestured towards Lime to continue.

"Once done, I was given Alpha Squad to command, oh how good it felt to order someone around." Lime said. "I took a seat in an UH-1Y Venom, followed by my squadmates, they filled it up and we took off. Of course, my squad member was the one to pilot it, I told em' to drop me on top of Resort tower/building whatever you call em'."

"As I drop down, I gave them orders to take Objective C, they heard the order and followed it, whereas I, mantled down to the elevator located nearby the roof." Lime continued telling his moments.

"The elevator door closed, and that's my signal to wait, as the elevator door opened, a four-pony squad came out, and oh Faust, that was scary, I ran and hid myself." Lime said, gesturing his hooves. "They didn't know, not yet, I took my machete out," Lime said.

"Wait, a machete?" Grey asked again, just to make sure.

"Yeap, it's a machete alright, I'll show em' later." Lime said proudly.

"Anyway, I crouched and moved to the nearest target, he seemed too busy laying down suppresing fire with his Type 88 LMG on my teammates below at objective A, I raised my knife and held onto his shoulder, spun him around, stab him and took his Dog Tags, of course he didn't scream, he'd be in a state of shock. Anyway, I moved onto the next target, a recon. He had a SRR-61 equipped and damn, that thing hurts."Lime explained. Grey was fascinated on Lime's vast knowledge of weapons even remembering the weapons of what the enemy used a few months ago.

"Instead of going stealth I ran towards him, raised my knife, I pulled his back onto my knees, took his dog tags and stab em'. Good thing he was another floor up where the Ventilation machines were located." Lime said in relief.

"The last two were below, a Recon, using an AMR-2 and a medic, or should I say Assault, with a SCAR-H at hand. I mantled down and again, did a knife takedown. This time, the soldier screamed, and the Sniper turned around, I ran for cover as he fired his Sniper rounds at me." Lime said, sweat trickling down his chin as he tell his tale.

"I turned around and had to confront that lil' sniper. I locked my gun and ran out of cover, I fired my rounds, so as the recon, with his M9. I took hits, critical ones where you might actually fall to eternal slumber, but I didn't, the small fight I had, I won." Lime said in triumph.

"Is that all, Sharde'?" Grey asked, a bit too common hearing Lime's tale.

"If being under suppression is bad enough or just trying take out a whole squadron is hard, try my job." Lime said, confusing Grey.

"After I took out the sniper, a freakin' jet just came, firing his Machine guns at me, as if thats bad enough, an attack heli came up." Lime said, panicking, suprising Grey too. "I took my MK153 SMAW out and aimed, at the heli, since its pilot wants me dead, the pilot fired missiles at me, I was lucky to survive, I studied it's movements for a while, took aim and fired, the missile went a bit to the left, just as the pilot strafed left. The heli was now bits and pieces now." Lime said. Even, Grey, couln't believe at what he Lime told him, the idea of Lime taking out a heli, seems presposterous.

"Next target was the fighter jet, I knew I didn't have any Lock-On equipments to eliminate it, so I had to use the SMAW. As I looked at the jet, he fired his rounds, while doing barrelrolls as he went past me, yes, he's teasing me for Celestia's sake. A. DAMN. TEASER." Lime said, in an angry tone.

"He turned again to face me. Just as I was about to fire, one of the rounds hit me and it inflicted a critical hit to me. My visions were blurry and was in the colour of black and white." Grey is a bit fascinated about the story as he took down Lime's tale, even if it is ridiculous in Grey's mind.

"I turned to face that pilot again. I prayed and fired, the missile just bloody went into the cockpit leaving the jet in ruins." Lime said proudly.

"A few minutes after the destruction of both the previous heli and jet, I saw another pair of those. But instead of coming to me, they didn't, they avoided me at all costs. Guess they knew not to mess with me." Lime smiled.

"Is that all true?" Grey asked.

"Yes, ask my squadmates or Rainbow Dash, they'll know." Lime answered.

"Well, that was the best moment I'll ever have in the battlefield." Lime said.

"Okay, now we'll move onto the questions." Grey said.

"Question's and answer's now? Alright, lay it down on me." Lime said arrogantly.

"Do you like to man vehicle's?" Grey asked, even he was really curious, the fact that an engineer who doesn't man a vehicle was preposterous.

"Nay, I don't like getting in tanks or jets or APC's, I'm the Hooves-on-ground type. I repair those machine's when they need it though. Piloting helicopter's, yes, I like to fly them." Lime answered with a grin in his face.

"Which do you think is better, a shotgun or a carbine?"

"You should ask Rainbow Dash about shotguns, she knows them really well, as for me it didn't have that feel, like the carbine I'm using right now." Lime said with enthuasiasm in the end.

"Was there times when you had lost the battle?" Grey asked, knowing fully of the answer but had to ask anyway.

"Yes, a lot, war has it's wins and losses." Lime said in dissappointment.

"Rumours spread across the 7th fleet of you sometimes prefer to assist another soldier instead of your squad. She's from Bravo Squad, Rainbow Dash, could you care to explain that?" Grey asked, with a very suspicious tone.

"Wait, whaa?" Lime said, "Where'd you get that, I err- just, helping out another soldier, yeah that's right, helping out another soldier. NOTHING ELSE." Lime replied, his face was red. "Hell, who asked that question?!" Lime stood up glaring at Grey's face.

"I don't know, Sharde', now please, sit down." Grey said calmly. Lime sat down, calming himself down

"If only you knew how it felt like ordering a bunch of idiots who disobey orders." Lime said quietly, his head down.

"Okay, so, Sharde' I heard complaints comin' from a marine like you saying that you stab your enemies a bit too much, I believe he's related to you."

"Oh you mean Crimsone', hah, he's pissed off of me all the time, he's the type who doesn't take risks, you know. He is known to rush into the battlefield and quickly capture objectives, I'd give him credit to that." Lime said, smiling genuinely about it.

"Last question. As a squad leader, who would you prefer to have in a squadron." Grey asked, in a more serious tone.

"Well, I prefer those who obey direct orders, assist me when I need it, I dislike those who disobey a direct order from me, throughout my skirmishes, I've dealt with recruits who disobey. I never had a squadron that stayed with me, I'd always recieve new ones everytime I joined the battlefield." A hint of sadness was heard by Grey from Lime's voice.

"The ones I work well with, always got transferred to another Division same goes for Dash, she used to be in my squad back in the day. Damn, I missed those old times, it's the top brass' orders, can't complain about that." Lime said, he managed to put a smile. Grey stood up and looked at Lime.

"Well, thank you for your time, Sharde', the interviews over, been a pleasure interviewing you." Grey smiled as he shook Lime's hoof.

"Yeah, you too, Mr.Grey." Lime said.

"Oh by the way, you snore too loud, better control the volume, Sharde'. Grey adviced.

"Wait, how did yo- oooh..right..I'll keep that in mind..thanks." lime said to Grey.

Grey returned a thumbs up to Lime and walked out of the repair bay. "I should really ask the others about his tale whether it's true or not, and some cake, I need cake, I REALLY NEED CAKE." Grey said, frustrated of his need of cake.
