This story is an alternate version of it's prequel. Namely if Starkiller hadn't become Vader's replacement.

Starkiller is part of the Rebel Alliance. With his aid, Luke Skywalker is learning what it means to be a Jedi, and to repel the thrall of the Dark side. After a freak accident in Space, he and Master Rahm "General" Kota find themselves thrown beyond the Outer Rim into an uncharted part of the galaxy. Stranded on a world with no way of repairing their damaged ship, Starkiller and Kota must befriend the local inhabitants and prepare them for the arrival of the Empire, who have discovered the world through the power of the Force.
