Lunars Great Adventure! Chapter 1: The Beginning of the End
Lunar, a home made OC has to fight against the forces of evil, while staying under the radar of the mane 6 and not getting caught. Afraid that the 6 wont be able to take down this overpowering foe.
Lunar wakes up to something that sounds like an explosion, as he gets out of bed, still groggy from sleep, he stumbles over to his door, thinking maybe Doctor Whooves has blown something up again. But when he opens the door, Ponyville is being destroyed! a dark figure flies around Ponyville shooting fire out of its mouth. He quickly closes his door and as he starts to gallop to his kitchen, his door explodes into flames, the spontaneous burst of fire blows him away, making him hit a wall with a thud. He gets up, slightly dazed and walks over to the kitchen, unsteady on his feet from the hit. his moves the carpet that's at the center of his kitchen, he find a latch, rusted over by time. He tugs on it, unable to get it to budge, his face red from effort, his horn glows midnight blue and the hatch creaks. He tugs harder with his magic and the hatch finally opens, the momentum flinging it against his counter, cracking the marble. He flinches as the hatch hits his counter and sighs "well I guess I should forget about the counter and get my old gear." He looks down the set of stairs before him that leads down into the darkness. He gallops into the darkness, as his eyes adjust, he begins to see more, spider webs and rats, and walls of bricks on either side of him. He slows down as he nears a wooden door, he pulls on the door knob and the door swings open, barely missing his face. He walks into the room before him, and ignites an old lantern on the wall with his magic, as the lanterns glow grows, he sees the rest of the room, suits of armour and swords, daggers, bows and arrows, maces and lances! Several more types of weapons line the walls, all of them have a layer of dust on them. He walks past all of them casually and goes to a stone pillar that has another lantern on it, he pulls it down and it inclines, making a slight click noise. he walks over to one of the brick walls and uses his magic to move it, it opens like a door and inside, there is a dark shape, hidden in the shadow. He finds two oil lanterns and ignites them, they burst into flame and the shadowy figure takes a more refined shape. it's a suit, made with thin iron plating and cloth. He blows that dust off of the suit and the dust flies off, finding another place to land. Twenty minutes later, he's running up the stair case again wearing the suit of armour and with two swords on his back, a scimitar and a dagger, made out of a blue metal that slightly glows, as he arrives the surface again his exit is blocked by debris. He moves it out of the way with ease, a blue glows fading from his horn. almost all of the buildings have been demolished, some still have huge flames on their roofs. Lunar walks through the streets looking at his now destroyed town with grief in his eyes. No pony in sight, he continues to walk and he finds a small band of ponies, 6 to be exact. There are Two Alicorns, a white one with a crown and gold necklace with a purple gem on it, and flowing hair with multiple colours on it, and another Alicorn with a purple mane and a deeper purple hair, with some highlights, pink and a lighter shade of purple. The are another five ponies, a multicoloured mare with a blue mane and rainbow coloured mane and a cloud with lighting as her cutie mark. There's also an orange mare with blond hair, and 3 apples as her cutie mark. there is also a Pink mare with a light pink mane and bright pink hair, and three balloons as her cutie mark, and there is another white mare with three gems as her cutie mark, she has a dark purple as her hair colour. Last, there is a light yellow mare with light pink hair, and three flowers as her cutie mark. I also noticed a purple and green figure on the purple pony, a dragon, just a baby though, not able to do any harm. I recognize them as Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Spike the Dragon and Princess Celestia. The Mane six, the only users worthy of wielding the elements of harmony. "What was that!" Twilight asks. "For the first time in millennia, I don't know." Princess Celestia answer. She glances around almost catching sight of me, but not quite before I jump behind a fallen piece of a wall. "Whatever it was, it needs to be vanquished, I must stay here and protect all the other Ponies." she says. "So what are we supposed to do!?" Rainbow Dash asks, clearly agitated by the surrounding destruction. " You are the only ponies in all of Equestria that can defeat it, you bear the elements of harmony, the strongest weapons in our world! You must move east, past the ever free forest and towards the forbidden lands, that is where that monster was headed." Celestia says. "But how are we supposed to defeat a monster that just destroyed an entire town?" Applejack asks. "I trust that you can figure it out, but you must move now, before the monster attacks again!" Princess Celestia exclaims. The mane six say their goodbyes to the Princess and run towards their houses, surely to salvage any supplies that can be used on the Journey. I think to myself there is only one thing that could have done that, and that was millennia ago, when the first human war happened. As the mane six begin to regroup, I grab some supplies from my own house, and wait for them to depart into the Everfree forest. As they gallop off into it, I follow them, close behind but not close enough for them to see me. just as I walk in, I get attacked by a midnight blue figure, it hits me on the head and my world goes black
